DAC "Generating parameters..." never returning back??

Hi All,
I am trying to generate parameters for an execution plan in DAC - after hitting Generate - it opens a small popup window with "Generating Parameters.... Please wait...." and it never returns back. I created another new container, execution plan and still same issue.....
how to solve this issue......

Hi everyone,
Can someone explain the differences between the generate parameters and the build commands?
My initial thought was that generate parameters generated the Informatica parameter files. But then I couldn't figure out what the purpose of the Build command was.

When you see your ETL folders they are arranged depending upon the type of tasks SDE, SIL, PLP, etc. If you buy the OOB Oracle BI Apps they come with prebuilt ETL routines. These are meant to plug and play as adaptors depending on your source. The product also allows you to extract data from multiple sources hence different SDE folders. These are then assigned to Logical Folders in DAC. Every task you created is linked to an ETL workflow and is assigned to a Logical folder.
Now the workflows can be run manually from the ETL Tool or through DAC. When you run them to DAC it uses the Source and Target connection parameters from the Physical Data Sources tab in the Setup section denoted by the $ sign.
Generate Parameters looks at every task in your execution plan and checks what the $Source & $Target Parameters it needs. If your plan has SDEs, SILs, PLPs and then come from three sources (2 OLTPs, 1 Flat file) and 1 destination (DW) then you'll get 4 connection parameters, plus every folder associated with your ETL tasks. e.g SDE_ORA11510_Adaptor, SILOS, PLP, CUSTOM_SDE_ORA11510, CUSTOM_PLP, CUSTOM_SILOS. Then you can set which source you want to extract from and which target you want to send your data to.
Build on the other hand handles the dependencies. It is very important you set your Source Tables, Target Tables and the Task type at every task appropriately. It uses this to logically arrange the concurrency and dependencies of tasks.

MobileService.SyncContext.PushAsync never returns in Release build

I am currently trying to create a windows phone app with azure mobile services but somehow offline sync is not working. When I create a release build and call await SyncContext.PushAsync() it never returns back to the context.
I dont really know what is happening,

Thank you for the answer, I added HttpMessageHandler to check which operation was causing the problem and a IMobileServiceSyncHandler, as I mentioned earlier when there is nothing to Push the syncing work fine and the pull can be made, but when the push
needs to send data the request passes by OnPushCompleteAsync and does not get to the LoggingHandler.SendAsync or to the ExecuteTableOperationAsync and on the Output console I can see the following exceptions are thrown but the PushAsync does not fail and never
ends.

Packing Material returned back to inventory

Hi,
Our client uses standard costing for all materials. We have a scenario where material is packed in drums. The drums are then returned back into inventory as the material is despatched to the customer packed in a different form. A drum rate per pound of production is loaded into the standard cost of the packed material. The problem now is that the inventory of the used drum is in a balance sheet account while the credit for drum cost on production goes to the P&L account. Is there some method by which only that portion of the drum cost on production can be credited to a reserve account?
I was thinking i could apply an overhead rate on the packed material and credit it to an internal order and end of month settle to a balance sheet account. But overhead cannot be provided on output, rather it is based on input. is there some way by which I could use template allocation to credit an order andd debit the production order? Or is there some other better method?

Moreover, I would prefer to use a work around as below, which I used in a similar scenario
1. Convert the Drums into Fixed Asset... The FA recon account can be "Inventory of Drums".. Dont club this account under FA in your Financial St Version in FI
2. Assign a Manual Dep Key in this asset masters... i.e. You can manually post the Depreciation of these assets as per your choice
3. Post this entire dep into one cost center... Later on allocate it to the Prod orders or absorb it as an overhead using costing sheet
To make it more simpler, assign an activity type "PRDQTY" in your Routing.... This PRDQTY will record your Prod Qty....
The Activity Qty of this PRDQTY will be equal to your Base Qty of the routing.... So, whatever output you confirm on the Prod order in CO11N, the same amount of Act Qty will also get confirmed
Then calculate the Act Price for this act type which will be Depreciation amount for wear n tear / Prod Qty.... THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT!!

When I do a "new InitialContext" in my client test program, it never
returns
when run on solaris or linux, it works fine on NT.
Another symptom of the same problem is that a LIST command of
weblogic.Admin works
on NT but never returns on Solaris or Linux.
VERSION and SHUTDOWN work on NT, Solaris and Linux.
also note that on linux with ibm 1.1.8 jdk, I completely re-loaded the
weblogic
with only the system password changed in the weblogic.properties file
(just to
make sure I did not accidently put something in the properties file to
cause
the problem)

It looks like you are modifying the object you are iterating over while you are iterating... not good. Say your gp only had one element, a LINE_TO. It will run through and call another LINE_TO in the switch, thus when it comes back to the while, there is a newly added point to interpret, so the iterator will never finish. Usually, most components throw a ConcurrentModificationException when this happens for this type of case. I'm not sure why the PathIterator doesn't.
In short, use a different reference in the loop then the one you are iterating over.

Recursive WITH (Recursive Subquery Factoring) Never Returns

11.2.0.2 database on Windows, SQL Developer Version 3.2.20.09, build MAIN-09.87 (Database and SQL Developer are on the same machine. I have also tried connecting to a Linux 11.2 database and have the same results.)
I've been doing some simple testing with recursive WITH (Recursive Subquery Factoring) and when I run this following statement in SQL*Plus it returns instantly. However when running in SQL Developer it never returns, I've let it run for quite a long time (172 seconds) and gotten nothing, I finally kill the statement. Once I ran it and even killing the job didn't come back. I can get an explain plan but if I try to run it, run as script or autotrace it never returns. I have only one plan in the plan_table for this test, and it's only 4 lines long. No errors, no messages.

Hi Jeff, using either give the same results. The query is "running", as is the little graphic with the bouncing gray bar is moving back and forth saying either "Query Results" or "Scriptrunner Task" as appropriate.
OK this is odd. I run a count(*) on plan_table in SQL*Plus and get 4, in SQL Developer I get 487. Hun? That makes no sense I'm connect as the same user in each. Where are all these other entries coming from and why can't I see them in SQL Plus? Does SQL Developer have it's own PLAN_TABLE?
**EDIT --- Yes that seems to be the case. The PLAN_ID I see in SQL Plus doesn't even exist in the SQL Deveropler version of the table. OK that's good to know. I assume the plan_table for SQL Developer is local to it somehow? It's not in the database as best I can see.

Do you mean that the distance comes back as zero ?
If that is the case, there is a known bug in distance
that is causing this problem. This is fixed in the
9.0.1.3 patch set, so applying that patch would help.

Writing a Procedure to return back XML. Please help.

to me.
I am passing 2 parameters to this procedure (a Quantity and a Price) and these parameters are element values of the XML that will be returned.
My Query is :
1) How can the arguments being passed to the procedure become element values.
2) Is my procedure to return back the XML correct.? Please can someone modify this procedure?

Help Needed: Returning Back to Windows 8 after downgrading to Windows 7

Hi guys, im just new here.
I have a MSI GE40 gaming laptop which I bought 2 months back.
Within those 2 months of usage, I always encounter my laptop to be very slow in shutting down. It always take, maybe up to 10 minutes to fully shut down. The screen goes black but the power button stays on orange color, & as I said, it takes a long time for the power button to be completely unlit. But for start up, its blazing fast.
Thinking that windows 8 itself is the culprit of super slow shutting down, I searched the net on how to downgrade to windows 7.
Of course I did make a back up first on a 16gb usb flash drive using the pre-installed recovery software from MSI which was completed successfully.
Then I made some tweaks on the bios (ie select legacy & disable secure boot) & boot using windows 7 installation DVD, deleted all partitions (since the notebook comes with GPT partition) to be able to install windows 7. I installed all the drivers which I downloaded from MSI website specific to my notebook.
But the problem is not solved, it is still very slow in shutting down, & now even boot up becomes very slow too.
So I downloaded & execute the firmware & bios for windows 7 from msi website (again, specific to my model). But still the same, the notebook is still very slow both in shutting down & start up.
So I decided to go back again to windows 8, I tried to boot from the flash drive (I adjusted from the bios & make the flash drive to be the first priority) but it did not boot from it. I tried F11 on start up & selected to boot from usb flash drive but again, to no avail.
So the last one I did was downloaded windows 8, make a bootable flash drive out of it, boot from it and luckily, I succeed - I have now again a windows 8 msi ge40 laptop.
But I wanted my laptop to be reinstated to factory setting, i.e, all preinstalled softwares are there, the bios is default for windows 8. So I tried to update the bios to the one for windows 8 again (since I downgraded the bios to the one for windows 7 when I downgraded the OS to windows 7). But I could not update the bios, the laptop is not booting from usb flash drive containing the bios.
I tried also to recover using F3 on start up but the system does not recognize the flash drive (with system back up). I tried also on PC settings but to no avail.
Now guys, I need your help.
How can I return back my laptop to default factory settings?

I think it's not only about the OS version, you need to return this back to your shop to repair with the slow shot down issue, because the OS should be shot down in 30 seconds, far from your GE40 times.

How to call an alv report from another program and return back

 Hello ,
I am calling one abap program (Prgm B) from another program (Prgrm A).
Here, Prgm B is an ALV report. I have fetch some data from Prgem B that gets stored in an internal table.
Now, I am using below code in Prgrm A,
SUBMIT Prgrm B VIA SELECTION-SCREEN
 WITH SELECTION-TABLE rspar
 EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
 AND RETURN.
When Prgrm A executed, it lead me to selection screen of Prgrm B and when I click F8, it shows me the report output, In short, it doesnt return back to Prgrm A. It ends up showing me the alv report if Prgrm B even afetr using RETURN statement.
I want to get back to Prgrm A by fetching some data from Prgrm B.
Please let me know, if i am missing something.

ITunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later AND Your iPhone has never been backed up to this computer AND always Not Responding

First: I get the message telling me that "iTunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later."
Second: In the Summary Tab under Backups, iTunes is telling me that my iPhone has never been backed up to my computer - which is not true. It's also telling me that my iPhone has never been backed up to iCloud. Again, not true. Although my backups are all missing from iTunes, I can see what I think is them in their folder: C:\Users\*your user name here*\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync.
Third: iTunes is SLOOOOOOOOW. It takes nearly ten minutes - sometimes more - to launch, and when it does, it's constantly not responding. It seems every time I touch something it stops responding.
Fourth: I've been searching this "help" forum for a solution, and I've seen many other references, yet the only suggestion I've seen from someone from Apple is a reference to a solution that is over 2 years old - and DOESN'T WORK for anyone I can see who's tried it!
I've tried everything I could think of, and that others have suggested, including:
Uninstalling and re-installing iTunes
Ensuring I have the latest version of iTunes
Re-setting sync history
Renaming my Backup folder at the path above, and letting iTunes create a new one
Running around the house whilst pulling my hair and yelling obscenities
None helped. At all.
Hmmm... Been a devoted Apple/iOS guy for years, but maybe it's time to switch to Android?

I've resolved the issue with iTunes constantly not responding. It's a bit embarrassing. I had a DVD in the drive that was corrupt, and once I was able to remove it - BAM - iTunes ran perfectly.
I'm still getting the Sync Services message, and my backups are still not showing in iTunes.
Getting there.... I hope!
