DAC installation on Office Computer

Hi Everyone,
While I am installing DAC in my office laptop, it is asking for Informatica Powercenter Path and the Informatica Domain file location. I have installed Oracle 11g Client, OBIEE 10g, Informatica 9.0.1 Client.
How can I give the Informatica Domain file as I didn't find any domain file in my laptop. Can you please anyone help me in installing the DAC in my office laptop.

Hi,
You need to copy the domain.infa file from the server/box where you have installed informatica server or else you can also install informatica server on your laptop and provide the path of the domain.infa file and powercenter path for the same.

I figured out a method to finally install Office 2010 bypassing the error stated in the title, by manually removing all the keys that included the term "Office 2003" from the Windows registry.

Please note that you need to be very careful when manually editing the Windows registry as it may cause problems to your operating system and even cause a massive failure requiring you to re-format your disk.

If you have an iBook G4, (PPC) you can't do much.
But if that is a MacBook (intel) you may be able to
upgrade the OS X, if the hardware is up to it...

of MacBook (not powerpc iBook) to identify what

what OS X and RAM upgrades it could use.
If the computer is not already at OS X 10.6.8,
it can't go online to get or use OS X 10.7.5. So,
when you more accurately describe the 'Book,

When you find the serial number, there is a web
page that can be used to identify by serial no.

That'd be a first step. Or even the Model number
which should be visible on the outer case by hinge.

POP does not support synchronization between the server and clients. You will need to use IMAP or Exchange Active Sync if your email provider supports it.

Font Problem in Mail after installation of Office 2008 for Mac

Since I installed my 2008 Office for Mac I have had occasional problems with the font display in IMail. Sometimes the fonts are just gibberish but will become readable again if/when I change the font sizing. Any suggestions? When I installed Office 2008 I had previously deleted the Trial Version of Office for Mac 2004 and the installer for Office 2008 did not find any prior Office installation.

Download Font Nuke. Close all other applications you may have running.
Run Font Nuke and click on the "Nuke Font Caches" button at the upper left. The panel will fill with other choices. At the lower right, first click "Update Caches List". It will search your hard drive for font cache files and list them. The purpose being simply so you can see what is about to be removed. Click the "Nuke Font Caches" button at the bottom right. Your Mac will restart. Don't attempt to stop the restart. You should always restart immediately after removing any cache files.

I have CC for my office computer, and also put my home computer on it so I can work from home. I did some work over weekend, and came to office computer and it could not open files. It said my files (made at home) were Indesign 7, so I needed to save down in order to open at the office. Shouldn't both Indesigns be the same on Cloud? I updated my office Indesign but it still says it InDesign 6. How could my home computer have InDesign 7? What do I do?

To add on Kglad, both Indesign 8.0 and Indesign CC can work simaltaneously.
If Indesign CC shows as Up to Date on your office computer then try the steps mentioned in http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html

Although not recommended, yes.
Disable automatic syncing when the iPhone is connected with iTunes on each computer.
The only item you will have selected for syncing with iTunes on your computer at work will be Calendars, which is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. Nothing else will be selected under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on your computer at work. You will get a warning message that your iPhone is associated with another iTunes library on a different computer which you can ignore when syncing calendars/calendar events only with iTunes on your computer at work.

I just upgraded my blackberry and noticed that messages I sent from my office computer are not appearing in the list of email messages on my blackberry. The only sent items are those sent from the Blackberry. Is there a setting that I need to tweak? I like my blackberry to show all the messages sent from or received by the main computer as well as the blackberry. Thanks.

If you're running iTunes 11 and you don't see the menus, press Control-B or go to the small icon with the arrow at the extreme upper left and select "Show Menu Bar":
Apple for some inexplicable reason elected to hide the menus by default in the Windows version of iTunes 11.
I doubt that this will address a download problem, though. You'll need to provide more details about that; what device you're attempting the download on, the exact error message, and other such pertinent information.

How do I connect to my office computer using the screen sharing app in the system?
Are there complete instructions somewhere that I can read?
I have a computer at home and at the office, both with sbcglobal router connections to the internet. I have read that /System/CoreServices/Screen Sharing.app will allow you to connect to computers over the internet, but the article I read did not have much detail.
So say my work router hardware internet address is 123.12.23.123
When the window open after I click Screen Sharing, do I put that address in there?
Is there a port I need to open at the office?
Is there some internet address for my computer besides the sbc 172.12.1.23 address that I should use instead?
Screen sharing has a computer setting under sharing "VNC viewer may control screen with password: abcdefg"
Where do I find more information about Virtual computer networking and how I can do it with my may and the software apple provides.

The only way I have been able to do this is to use logmein.com to access my office computer, then using iChat, accept the invitation to share my office screen. One connected, I can log off logmein.
Has anyone found an easier way?

Office computer attacked by malware

Just posting what I noticed when my office Mac Desktop Pro was attacked today.
I had not visited what I would call questionable sites. I only visit the same regular sites which I have for years. Some of my web traffic was to corporate sites which included personal business, paying bills, encrypted stuff.
My office computer has never had any devices connected to it such as an iPod or iPad.
My internet connection at the office is behind a very good firewall.
First thing that happened was a pop-up with a fake system scan, then another which automatically started a download, at which time I may have clicked a button in the window, either cancel or close, but the download had started. I quickly force quit Firefox. Relaunched Firefox to see another pop-up which quickly hid itself to the dock. I quickly force quit Firefox again and relaunched it. This time Firefox asked if I wanted to restore the previous session or start a new one. I started a new one and no pop-ups this time. I did find a .part file on my desktop. Promptly put it in the trash and emptied it.
My guess is that the nature and style of the pop-ups, buttons on the windows and the download starting, suggests that this malware is web page based, needs user interaction and probably can't do any harm without the users password.
If it is web page based, and I only visited trusted sites today, my only conclusion would be that hackers have created ads that get served up through the many ad servers that many sites pull from, and initiate the attack this way, through trusted sites.

Read this it will help you rid the system of the Trojan you downloaded.

we are currently using windows 2008 standard server for terminal service. colleagues are allowed to work through rdp. Recently one of my colleague said, when he is accessing the terminal server through remote, the files, folders and whatever he creates in
his home computer is not updating in office computer. what ever he creates, he is attaching them through email and come back to office and working.
can anyone please help to resolve this problem.? if you need more details I will update it.

Let's first try updating your QuickTime Player to the most recent version. Does that help with the iTunes launch errors?
