DAC & Run Monitor

Hi all,
I am lunching the "JDE Financials - 811SP1-812" execution plan. Then all the task finish in DAC with any error but I open the workflow monitor and all tasks are with state "running/waiting".
Also the DAC in all tasks the "Rows Successfully passed" always is 0.
Did you find this situation some time??
Thanks in advance!
Víctor.

ORA-12520: TNS:listener could not find available handler for requested type of server
Failed to connect to database using user [obaw] and connection string [orcl]You should speak to your DBA, looks like it is a problem with the listener on the database
This search engine is good for researching Oracle errors: http://www.miracleoy.fi/search.html and has quite a few links for ORA-12520 errors

  • Change Capture For Siebel OLTP task in DAC running for more than 10 hours

whole etl load used to complete in 2 hours (as on now siebel data having sample data). since last Friday Change Capture For Siebel OLTP task in DAC execution plan running for more than 10 hours. I am not able to trouble shoot the problem because no log for this task
what could be the reason for this problem? how can I fix that problem?
    Appreciate your help
    Thanks
    Jay.

Which ETL is it that is taking the longest (is it an SDE, SIL, PLP?). I have seen someOracle vanilla ETLs coded in a way that is very ineffective. Check the DAC and Informatica logs and find out which mapping it is and where the delay is (e.g. SQL, write to DB..etc).

  • Running Monitor on Windows Box... does it run as a service?

I've installed GW Monitor 7 on a Windows box running IIS and Tomcat 5.5.
If I am logged in to the Windows server and have the Monitor Console open
I am able to use the web based GW Monitor. If I log out and/or close the
Console I am no longer able to run the web based GW Monitor. Does the
server really need to be logged in and have the GW Monitor Console
running in order to use GW Monitor? Can't it run as a service?

Very cool, thank you! I got the agent installed on Linux running as
daemon and the Web Application running on Windows connecting over to the
Linux agent. It works very well.
Now to get the HA stuff working...

  • DAC - Run in incremental load

Can we configure DAC to run only INCREMENTAL LOAD. Usually the first run is always FULL LOAD.

    Hi
Yes that is true....but what if user wants to schedule full load periodically after few incremental loads....is there any way where manually resetting datawarehouse can be avoided......what I am trying is created a stored procedure which wud update the etl refresh date to null and have added it as first task for Initial load exe plan but...as dac checks the refresh dates before it starts the load where in there are some refresh dates available it is making incremental load and later the stored procedure task is setting refresh dates to null.....is it that we need to create sepearate exe plan which would nullify refresh dates(say exp1) and then run initial load,,,,,,,,,,and while scheduling we need to run exp1 before the full load exe plan.I would like to know if there is any other way better...than the above...

    HI Srini,
I had copied Src files from BIApps to informatica Src file
While running DAC11g full load, we are en counting some issues below is the error we are facing
ERROR CODE - Unknown reason for error code 36331
one more thing to consider, In DAC10g we give /Oracle/OBIAPPS/Informatica/9.1.0/server/infa_shared/SrcFiles as Informatica parameter path in DAC system properties but in DAC11g if i take same path no task is running, it is failing at first task only and no parameter file is generating.
But if i give dafault in that Informatica parameter path of DAC11g some tasks are running success and i am able to see some parameters generated in DAC PATH, but Default is taking
    /Oracle/OBIAPPS/DAC/orahome/11g/dac/Informatica/parameters path for that location.
Informatica Server details are Success, Physical Data sorce are success.
I had copied SrcFiles and LkpFiles to informatica from BIApps.
ParameterDW and parameterOLTP are moved to /Oracle/OBIAPPS/DAC/orahome/11g/dac/Informatica/parameters as well as Informatica Src folder
for one task below is the error

I don't believe the line mode monitors existed since Oracle 6's
    sqldba.
And the server manager monitors (windows server manager) only
    existed til about Oracle 7.2.
Since then you need Enterprise manager, possibly even the add-on
performance manager packs, to have "active monitor displays"

If someone can tell me otherwise, I would appreciate it. That

  • DAC: Automate purge of Run History Information

    Hello,
I'm trying to find a way to automate the purge of Run History log information.
Is there any command line utility to do this?
Can it be done inside DAC?
The following is the DAC information:
Oracle BI Data Warehouse Administration Console
Dac Build AN 10.1.3.4.1.patch.20110427.0538, Build date: April 27 2011
Management console to setup, configure, load and administer the Oracle Business Analytics Warehouse
    Schema version - 34, Index version - 33, Repository version - 6, Seed data version - 9
    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
Currently there is no out-of-box automation for the DAC Run detail Purge. How ever we can use the below sql's to delete. I strongly don't recommend this for Production but can be used for non-prod. Assuming dacrep is your DAC repository owner.
    --SQL 1 set 1
    DELETE FROM dacrep.w_etl_run_sdtl
    WHERE run_step_wid NOT IN (
    SELECT row_wid
    FROM dacrep.w_etl_run_step
    WHERE run_wid IN (
    SELECT row_wid
    FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run
    WHERE etl_proc_wid IN (
    SELECT MAX (etl_proc_wid)
    FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run)))
    -- SQL set 2
    DELETE FROM dacrep.w_etl_run_audit
    WHERE run_wid NOT IN (
    SELECT row_wid
    FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run
    WHERE etl_proc_wid IN (
    SELECT MAX (etl_proc_wid)
    FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run))
    -- SQL set 3
    DELETE FROM dacrep.w_etl_run_summ
    WHERE run_wid NOT IN (
    SELECT row_wid
    FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run
    WHERE etl_proc_wid IN (
    SELECT MAX (etl_proc_wid)
    FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run))
    -- SQL set 4
    DELETE FROM dacrep.w_etl_run_step
    WHERE run_wid IN (
    SELECT row_wid
    FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run
    WHERE etl_proc_wid NOT IN (
    SELECT MAX (etl_proc_wid)
    FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run))
    -- SQL set 5
    DELETE FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run
WHERE etl_proc_wid NOT IN (SELECT MAX (etl_proc_wid)

Please let me know if this worked for you.

  • Z68A GD65 G3/i2600k - is SLI on 1 monitor, run 2nd monitor on IGD possible

Typically I only use 2nd monitor for reference, chat, etc during a game.
I cannot get 2xGTX 470 to run 1 and only the 1 monitor, and the IGD HD3000 to run monitor #2.
Is that because we cannot do so, and virtu only allows for switching ?
Small hit, if any, I thought I had read that old limitation of using either/or was gone with Z68... wishfull thinking ?
    ld

Probably wishful thinking. Only two choices, PEG or IGD. Virtu switching won't work when in an SLI configuration if my Z68A-GD80(G3) is any example.

  • BIA 7.9.5 - DAC Server keeps crashing - libc.so SIGBUS error (Solaris)

Can you help me solving the following issue or provide me hints please?
At the customer site we have BIA 7.9.5 running on Solaris 10 (SPARC). Unfortunately, the DAC server is crashing quite frequently with the following error:
    # An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:
    # SIGBUS (0xa) at pc=0xff256514, pid=14595, tid=443
    # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (1.5.0_16-b02 mixed mode)
    # Problematic frame:
    # C [libc.so.1+0x56514]
(See below, one of many crash logs…)
    Reconstruction:
The dac server is started with the OOTB startserver.sh command. A custom execution plan is started. After a while and completely random a (random) workflows fail with the DAC logging as shown below. So, it has nothing to do with a specific workflow. Restarting the DAC server and restarting the execution plan makes the DAC server to continue the execution plan.
The consistent part is the ‘SIGBUS’ error referring to libc.so.1. The number behind it (memory address?) differs per crash.
    Specifications:
    •     Solaris (5.)10 64b SPARC (Solaris 10 5/08 s10s_u5wos_10 SPARC)

Hi all... I have reviewed posts by Greg Rakers, ttc1 and user11306733 and this is my contribution:
I assume you have the following requirements:
    1. Solaris 8, 9 or 10.
    2. SPARC 64-bit
    3. DAC 10.1.3.4.1. OBI Apps 7.9.6 and 7.9.6.1 required DAC 10.1.3.4.1 with Patch 8760212. OBI Apps 7.9.6.2 required DAC 10.1.3.4.1 with Patch 10052370. OBI Apps 7.9.6.3 required DAC 10.1.3.4.1 with Patch 12381656 *(Customers on all versions of OBI Apps using DAC 10.1.3.4.1 are recommended to upgrade to this patch)*. Patch is available for download on the Patches and Updates tab in My Oracle Support at http://support.oracle.com.
    4. Informatica 7.1.4, 8.1.1 SP4, 8.1.1 SP5, 8.6.0 or 8.6.1.
    5. JDK Standard Edition 1.6.x. for Solaris SPARC 64-bit_

  • Mac mini compatibility with 1600x900 Samsung monitor?

I have just purchased a Mac mini Z0FW-2GB (2GHZ 2GB DDR3 RAM/120GB drive) and would like to pair it up with a Samsung 2033SW 20-inch with a resolution of 1600x900
Does anyone know if this monitor / resolution will work natively with Mac mini? Does the necessary connector ship with the Mac mini?
    Thanks.

A Mac can automatically configure itself for any resolution on-the-fly based on whatever EDID (display driver data) it receives from the monitor it is connected to. That is, for example, why all Macs, even older ones, are successfully running monitors like the new 2048 x 1152 ones that have recently come into the market. Even though older Macs may pre-date the existence of that new and never previously existing format by several years, they are still able to read the EDID and self-configure their graphics output into any resolution. For this reason, I doubt you will have any trouble with a 1600 x 900 monitor.
And, yes, everything you will need comes with the Mac mini (Mini DVI to DVI Adapter) or the monitor (DVI cable), so you won't need to buy anything extra.

  • Mac Pro and 3 monitors??

    guys:
Back again for more of your expertise. I am on a Mac Pro (2009 early) running OSX 10.6.2, 2.66 Ghz Quad processor, 8 GB RAM, with an ATI Radeon HD 4870 video card and 512 MB VRAM.
I currently run two monitors, one being an Eizo CG222W and the other being a cheapie NEC AS191WM.
I want to get a Wacom Cintiq monitor for retouching work. (I am a photographer)
So finally, the question...can I run all three at once or do I need plug and unplug the Cintiq as needed? I am assuming I need to install another video card. I can't run 3 monitors off of one video card...can I?
Any recommendations? Any warnings about what I am intending to do? The Mac Pro has the ability to add another video card, doesn't it?
I don't know if processing power of the Mac Pro has anything to do with running monitors but if so, does the specs of my machine have the power to do the job of three monitors?
As always, a big thanks in advance for your help and info!!
    Matt the shooter

I understand it is best to stay with the same brand for installing another video card
Yes, for Boot Camp, but OSX is fine with mixed brands.
but then I just read a post that stated there isn't enough power to run two Radeon ATI 4870 cards in a Mac Pro.
True, but you could add a NVIDIA GeForce GT 120
    <http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC002ZM/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=MTA4MzU2MzE>
I'd like to run the Cintiq for retouching, the Eizo with the Photoshop tool palette and the NEC to have anything like Mail or Calendar open so I can handle appointments while I retouch. It that possible with two cards?
It should work, but you may want to ask in a Photoshop forum to be sure. It may be necessary for all Photoshop windows to use the same card.

  • Best Temperature Monitoring Program?

Hey all, first time posting in the forums.
I recently got a mid-2012 MBP for college, so of course I immediately began putting games like Borderlands and GTA:SA on it. It runs anything I throw at it beautifully, but it gets awfully hot while it does. I know this is common for MBP's, even up to 90 degrees celsius, but it is something a tad worrisome when it gets over 80 (some games get it there every time....). So I've been trying to monitor it to at least be sure I'm not letting it get up there too often or for too long.
So had a few questions about temperature monitoring with Macs. I've currently got 3 programs running monitor temperature and system usage- System Pal, iStat Pro, and SMCfancontrol (which I also kick up a bit when playing the more GPU intensive games). The problem is that all three show different temperatures. Right now SystemPal reads 41 degrees celsius, SMCfancontrol reads 49, and iStat Pro has temps between 30 and 42 degrees. Which one's right? Is there a more accurate/definitive program for temp monitoring?
If it makes any difference, I usually play projected onto a 32 in LG TV using a thunderbolt to HDMI. I know this is more GPU intensive to begin with, but after going HD it feels a necessary evil.
If anyone happens to know of ways to keep temps down while gaming, monitor temps during full screen apps/games, or ways to monitor GPU usage (right now I have none ) I'd greatly appreciate advice on that too!
    Thanks so much for answers!

Try iStat Menus 4.02 or Temperature Monitor 4.96 or Hardware Monitor 4.96.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think the "l" in svrmgrl
    stands for "l"ine mode.
