DAD config / mod plsql / apache2

I’m not sure if this is the right forum….please let me know if I need to post elsewhere.
Using mod/plsql with apache2 and 11gR2 standard edition one, I need to setup an environment where each client has its own url, such as this:
https://theserver.com/thedad/client1
https://theserver.com/thedad/client2
https://theserver.com/thedad/client3
All clients use the same dad, yet need different URLs. Is there a way to do this with apache / mod plsql?
I’ve considered this:
https://client1.theserver/thedad
https://client2.theserver/thedad
https://client3.theserver/thedad
This would work, I’d rather not have sub domains though.
I've also considered:
https://theserver.com/dad1/client1
https://theserver.com/dad2/client2
https://theserver.com/dad3/client3
This works as each dad can point to the same db user. Problem with this is suppose there are 50 clients, having 50 dads is not a good solution.
Is there some way to have multiple clients each having its own url while sharing a single dad?

Thanks for your help. client1 is the id of the client and not a procedure.
In the example url: https://theserver.com/thedad/client1 client 1 is the id of the client not the procedure being called.
So to call proc_a the url would look like: https://theserver.com/thedad/client1/proc_a
For client2 to call proc_a the url would be: https://theserver.com/thedad/client2/proc_a
There are many clients, procedures and packages, like:
https://theserver.com/thedad/client1/proc_a
https://theserver.com/thedad/client1/proc_b
https://theserver.com/thedad/client2/proc_b
https://theserver.com/thedad/client3/proc_b
https://theserver.com/thedad/clientN/proc_N

  • Mod plsql, 404 errors, worse with 9.0.4

While most of our users have decent network connects, we have some using dial-up -- and some of those have shared dialup or low-speed phone companies).
One application, using mod-plsql, works for nearly all these users with the old Application Server 9iAS 1.0.2. But when they try to use OAS 9.0.4, on a much faster piece of hardware, they're getting 404 errors and other timeouts.
These connections can be pretty marginal. Maybe 10% of these low-speed users had problems with 1.0.2. Maybe 50% of them have problems with 9.0.4. So I'm looking to reduce that 50% to 10% or lower.
Same database, same plsql programs, and the users with high-speed connections are getting significantly better performance with 9.0.4. But we can't shut down the old app server until we can get these users working on the new one.
I suspect a difference in the apache config. But before we start opening TARs and changing configuration parameters, I wanted to see if anybody had seen this sort of thing, and if there are any known solutions.
    Thanks,

  • Mod/PlSql Report without 'save as' menu and with print control

I have to design a secure report. They want me to design it in a secure way so that people can see their special data on the screen but can not have a 'Save as' menu, and plus people can print their reports only three times in a month, no more.
I have had prepared it in mod/plsql but they wanted me to add these controls later. I think having these controls on html output is impossible, so back to Reports changed my mind.
I need help. Any idea ??
    Thanks so much..

Impossible. You control what the server sends the client - a HTML page.
You cannot control what the client does with it. The client can be a number of different browsers. The client can be a tty telnet type client. The client can wear suspenders and a bowler hat. The client can wear ballet shoes and a tutu.
To think that one can control the client's management/control of that data (specifically web browser based) from a mod_plsql server side PL/SQL proc, is a fatal misunderstanding of the very fundamental principles of client-server.

  • URGENT..error when trying to access mod plsql link on intial 9ias server page

Can anyone provide me with a solution to my problem?
When I finished my installation of 8.1.7.1(patchset)DB, then 9ias 2.1
I try to access the mod plsql link to access the server gateway. However the following error appears.
'You cannot login because there is no configuration information stored in the enabler configuration table. (WWC-41439)'
I've found out it might be due to the SSOHash java class not executing. As a result I ran an sql statement that showed i'm missing login server data. Tried a fix but didn't work.
Does anyone know what I can do apart from a re-installation?
    thanks

Did you run ssodatan in order to setup the wwsec_enabler_config_info table?

  • Infrastructure 2.2 using config mode to collect configs?

I am running Cisco Prime LMS 4.2 and Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.2 in parallel.  I just exported the device list and credentials from LMS and imported them into Infrastructure.  LMS has syslog alerts set up to notify the boss when "Configured from console by ..." messages get logged.  These messages typically come out whenever someone exits config mode, whether any actual changes were made or not.
Basically, the boss got alerts from LMS for every device imported into Infrastructure, caused by something that Infrastructure itself did.  The only thing that I can see that Infrastructure did was collect the configs.  I haven't found that any changes were actually made.  So apparently Infrastructure uses config mode to collect the configs?  What in the world for?
    Thanks for any insight.

More information.  I have a few old devices that are still using telnet instead of ssh, and also have a packet capture appliance that captured all of this discovery traffic from PI.  I filtered out the trace from one of these telnet devices and found the following sequence among a bunch of different show commands:
      config t
      ip nbar ?
      ip nbar
      exit
In the particular case of this device, the responses to the ip nbar config commands indicated that the device is not capable of doing nbar.  Your mileage may vary.

  • Cisco works changes ignored when someone leaves config mode

Hi When a user leaves cisco router config mode, a syslog message is triggered pointing to my Cisco works device.
but the changes ignored when someone leaves config mode (i.e., not picked up until the next scheduled archive)
is it possible in cisco works to immediately archive the configuration of router, when someone leaves Config mode?
if yes , can someone guide how to accomplish this?
    thank you in advance

    Hi!
I think you want to use the automatic action for config fetch which comes with ciscoworks, right?
Did you check that the syslog message from the router came to the server?
If yes, is it in the right form? (I think it is)
I have sometimes the problem with this function that the Analyser was full of syslog messages and drops all new syslogs.

  • "VLAN Database Mode" to "Config Mode" conversion

How can we convert an existing VLANs created in "VLAN Database Mode" to "Config mode? what is the right procedure?

    Hello,
I would just add the VLAN's using the config mode.
As with regard to your FWSM, keep in mind that, prior to IOS 12.2(14)SY, only one SVI is supported on the FWSM. If you have a later version, use the command 'firewall multiple-vlan-interfaces' to enable support for multiple VLAN's.
Not sure if you already know this link, but you might want to check the FWSM FAQ:

•In the text box under the Custom  attributes, enter the user role and associated domain for a specific  context in the following format:
    shell:= ...
For example, to assign the selected user to the C1 context with the role  ROLE1 and the domain DOMAIN1, enter shell:C1=ROLE1  DOMAIN1.
You can also substitute an asterisk (*) for the equals sign (=) as  follows:
    shell:* ...
Use the above shell string if you are also using Cisco IOS command  authorization.
Step 5 Under the Checking This option Will PERMIT all  UNKNOWN Services section of the page, check the Default  (Undefined) Services check box to permit unknown services.
Step 6 Click Submit when you finish  configuring the TACACS+ role and domain settings.
For example, if USER1 is assigned the role ADMIN and the domain  MYDOMAIN1 (where shell:Admin=ADMIN MYDOMAIN1), then one of the following  can occur:
•If USER1 logs in through the Admin  context, that user is automatically assigned the Admin role and the  MyDomain1 domain.
•If USER1 logs in through a different  context, that user is automatically assigned the default role  (Network-Monitor) and the default domain (default-domain). In this case,  the user profile attribute is not obtained from the TACACS+ server  during authentication.

  • Text configurations with sap-config-mode

    Would somebody explane to me:
I changed text with url-parameter sap-config-mode=x in FITE_VC_GENERAL_DATA view in logon language (that's not EN or DE). The result after savig this change is that the English or German text are replased with numbers. For example I change text "Reason" of Feld-ID: CUSTOMER. When using language-parameter=EN, this text is shown as number "19". So there is no possibility to run travel application in English (or German) along with local language.
I would like to know, is this standard behaviour? What's the point here? Whow must I make text-changes in application FITE_EXPENSES to be able top run it in local language as well as in English?
    Regards Seppo

    Hello P,
Try transaction SOTR_EDIT. Choose Short text, Language and Text, this works with asterisk before and after your keyword (try location).
With Display you'll find all packages where text location is used, first and foremost PTRM_WEB_UI.
After choosing the text in screen OTR: Change Concept choose Edit-Context-Change, pass with enter Context-popup.
You may also go straight to context-text from the component view. Transaction se80, package PTRM_WEB_UI, web dynpro component, for example FITE_VC_GENERAL_DATA, in Layout tab sheet activate the text, you aim to change, in Property-window double-click the field text $OTR:...-link, and you'll have the context-window, where you can modify the text.

  • Aaa accounting for config-mode commands

How to account commands entered in config-mode via TACACS+ ?
aaa accounting commands 15 default start-stop group tacacs+
does accounting for all commands in privilege level 15.
    Best Regards
    Carsten

    Carsten
I am not clear what your question is. From the title I gather that you are looking for a way to have accounting records for commands entered in config mode. The answer to the question is to enable accounting for level 15 commands which include the config commands. All of which is included in your message. So what is the question?
If the question is how to get just the config commands without all the other level 15 commands I am not aware of any way to get just the config commands.

  • CSU Rev 2.3.6(2) - deny key commands in IOS config mode

I want to deny certain commands to certain users in a group. I have defined the following on the ACS.
    service = shell{
    default cmd=permit
    default attribute=permit
    cmd=configure{
    deny="no ip routing"
    deny="no router isis"
    permit=""
    This logic does not work.
    1. Does CSU support command authorization within config mode?
    2. Any tips?
    Thanx,
    Kenny

You are not alone with issues related to the e1000e (but all they concluded was that reloading the module makes it work again):
    https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=145564
It seems like this is more your issue:
    http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux. … devel/8932
But if none of those boot flags work for you, then there's not much you can do, and you'll have to write a script to reload the module each time after initial boot finishes I guess until the module gets fixed.
Also, power management of the PCIe interface causes the e1000e to shut off after a while as well (lots of people on CentOS noticing this):
    http://serverfault.com/questions/226319 … ie-aspm-do
So you can use that boot parameter to stop that from happening, if that becomes an issue for you as well.

  • How to implement portlet 'CONFIG' mode

    Hi,
I want a specific user to perform 'portlet' configuration. Basically my JSR-168 portlet when placed on a specific page doesn't display anything - it first needs to be configured. After this configuration is done, I want all of my users, regardless of their role see the content of this (now configured) portlet instance. I couldn't find any information as to how/what to do in order to achieve this.
    Help would be highly appreciated!
    Thanks
    -J.

    Thanks Peter -
I used edit_defaults for two 'other' preferences.
The single most important setting - tying a 'datasource' to the portlet instance - is done in the CONFIG mode. This appears to work, however there are two things wrong:
All activity goes through the processAction
    1) the setting made in CONFIG mode is persisted but only for this specific user => it appears to be not shared, another user when logged on stills sees a 'blank' portlet instance, whereas the user that was allowed to configure the portlet instance, does see a 'filled' portlet instance afterwards.
    2) after the CONFIG mode has set the configuration preferences, the edit_defaults do change the preference store, but the VIEW mode doesn't seem to pick up these changed values.
    What am I missing?
