DAE models not showing in PS/CS4

I'm importing DAE from Google 3D warehouse. I can see the layer data, and the model data in the 3D panel. The move handles appear. But I see no model.
I have seen in a couple of places where the Materials Opacity needs to be reset to 100%. But even after doing this the model is still not visible.

Does the 3D hierarchy (leftmost button in the 3D panel) list any mesh items? Please check. the thing being a butterfly I also get the feeling that all it ever was is just some textured planes, so there won't be much geometry to begin with....

Fontbook activated Fonts not showing up in CS4 apps

I have a relatively brand new MacBook Pro (3 months) with a clean install of CS4. Until recently I was only using Web standard fonts so did not notice this problem.
Fonts I open in Fontbook do not show up in any of the CS4 apps. Searched the Apple and Adobe forums and did not find a solution that did not involve either buying a third party app or copying the fonts into the individual app folders.
The laptop came pre-installed with Snow Leopard and CS4 was a new purchase so downgrading is not an option.

yep... activated the fonts before the apps... Helvetica Neue was the one I had just opened/needed... MrsEaves was one I had opened a while ago... both ps1 fonts... neither showing up in InDesign.
and now for the weird part... after fighting with it for 3+ hours on Sunday (yesterday) and finally giving up and posting the question to this forum... I open up InDesign just now and they're all showing up. No idea why, or what has changed. The only thing I did differently was actually shut down my laptop instead of just restarting it... that must have made a difference somehow.

Fonts not showing up in CS4

All was well until a well meaning person swiped my hard drive by mistake. I have reloaded everything. My system had been fine for a year, no font problems.
FontAgents plugsins are loaded and appear listed in preferences. But when I activate a font, it does not show up in my Indesign menu list. My FontAgent fonts are in a folder in Users/home as they had been before. the auto-activation works, but I can't open up and design with any new fonts. I have not dumped any font caches as it seems more complicated than before.
I'm going nuts tryiing to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated!

Existing activation seems fine. So I did make a start up set, and those fonts do activate nicely. This was a workaround. And I also have dragged an alias of the activated font into the Indesign fonts folder, and wham, they show up immediately in the menu list.
I am used to activating a font in Fontagent, and wham, it shows up immediately in Indesign menu list, working as it should and helping me work quickly. Maybe in my reload of everything, something has gone awry. If I can't figure it out I might reload it all again. thank you for your input..

Specific Model not showing rows in a table in a column of a table

Fairly simple issue here (I think):
I have a table bound to a global model and its rows bound to "/items"
I then have a column within that table which has a valuehelpfield that pops open a dialog with a table.
This tables rows inside the dialog are bound to a temp model. Now I know this temp model has the correct data and format and I do not get a "no data" messages when I bind it's rows to the node on the temp model, and to double check that I tried binding it to an incorrect node and it did say "no data" and I tripple checked by getting the jsonstring of the model and it's exactly how it should be.

I briefly scan thru your code and spotted one common issue. When we are binding property, we need to include the model name. e.g.

Raw and TIFF Thumbnails Not Showing in Bridge CS4

Hi,
I just bought Photoshop CS4 and installed. I got an installation error and had to remove and reinstall CS4 (and ran the Mac Cleanup Utility in between). Then, CS4 installed successfully.
Now, when I fire up Bridge CS4, I can preview JPG files, but not TIFF or RAW (*.NEF format from my D200) files.
Has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix I can apply? I have installed known updates for CS4 and have purged the cache.
I have tried searching adobe and the online communities for this issue, but haven't been able to locate it. The problem also applies to *.PSD documents. I have also tried Tools>Cache>Purge Cach for Folder xxx and this doesn't fix things.

OK, I'm back already.
The bug was easily and instantly reproduced just as I wrote earlier:
With one of the lines under the thumbnails (thumbnail view in
Bridge) set to date created, and the other three to Date Modified,
Pixel Dimensions and Color Profile, respectively. I then invoked the
Global Purge cache command in Bridge CS4. Poof! The date created line
under each and every thumbnail is now blank. The space for the line is there, but it's totally empty,
blank. >:(
Invoking
Tools > Cache > Build and Export Cache > for all folders and subfolders restores the data in the blanked lines wiped out by the global Purge Cache command in Bridge preferences.
Thank goodness I had disconnected the FW drives.
I then went again and repeated the procedure one more time. The
Date Created line was again immediately left blank under all
thumbnails.
As far as I'm concerned,
the Global Purge cache command in Bridge Preferences in CS4 is broken
, just as it was in CS3 at least until someone tells me how to stop this from happening, reliably and consistently.

I just reconnected my FireWire drive and, to my utter disgust and
horror, the Date Created was wiped out under who knows how many
thousands of images. >:( This despite having unmounted, disconnected
and turned off the FW drive, and despite having my Bridge Preferences
> Cache > Options > set to A

My pictures are not showing up in CS4

I have a Canon 40D and CS4. I have had both for well over 6 months and everything worked great. Then
2 days ago my CS4 started acting up. Everytime I opened it, it would open then close right back down. I called a computer guy and he came right out. Well besides my computer needing more ram he couldn't figure it out. So he reinstalled it. Then yesterday he came back over to add more ram to my pc. (yesterday other than making sure CS4 opened up I did not use it) Everything seemed fine till tonight. I got the raw files from my cf card onto bridge but there were no pics, just the little cr2 icon thingy. Tried to open one in ps and it said wrong kind of documentaion. Thought oh no card gone bad. So I grabbed the card from 2 days ago (with pics I already loaded to my pc) and it did the same thing. I can see the pics on my camera.
Can someone PLEASE help me fix this?

SAP ProComp model not showing up in ID

Hello,
I have created a model of type "SAP ProComp model " in ESB. Now when I try to use this as template while creating a Configuration Scenario in ID, I do not see it.
I am trying to locate it under "SAP Process Component Interaction Model".
But when I create a model of type "SAP ProComp Interaction model", I am able to see it.
This seems logical, but I am able to see SAP provided models of type "SAP ProComp model" here.
I am on PI 7.1 EHP1.
Please advise.

Is it because SAP Pro Comp model is not supported in EHP1. Now I tried creating my own SAP Pro Comp Interactive Model and when I try to load that, I get the below errors.

Fonts not showing in Illustrator CS4

I am running CS4 on my Mac and after re-loading the software on to my new harddrive none of my computers fonts are showing up. It seems like just the few that the program comes with are available for use. They all show just fine in my other programs - Indesign etc. Can someone tell me if there is a place I should load my fonts folder so Illustrator will show my fonts like it used to?

This problem seems to be an issue with a typical Windows error where you have to RESTART the computer in order for anomalies to go away. That's what I did--restarted--and now the file works fine.

NEF Thumbnails do not show in Bridge CS4

I just installed Adobe CS4 Design Premium. I am using a NIKON camera and shoot in RAW. System is Windows XP.
I installed the Camera Raw plugin and can open the photos in PS but Bridge does not make thumbnails for these files. This was working with Bridge CS3.
Would appreciate any help.

In most cases problems with RAW files are one of 2 problems.
1. There is more than one version in the plug-in folder. Go to PS help/about plug-in/camera raw. Only one version should be listed.
2. The plug-in is in the wrong folder. It should be in program files/COMMON FILES/adobe/plug-ins/cs4/file formats.
Note: This based on CS3, not sure how CS4 does it with 64 and 32 bit version, but should be similar.

TIFF Thumbnails Not Showing in Bridge CS4

Hi. I just reinstalled PS CS4 (after system crash). Now I can not see TIFF thumbnails in Bridge (neither RAW but I use LR). I unistalled once with ACR 5.5 upgrade and reinstalled again from scratch and the problem persists. Nevertheless I can see TIF thumnail from Windows Vista Explorer. I also tried to access the Bridge Cache location and seems to be unavailable, even after 2nd installation. I tried to Purge Cache but nothing works. Any help? Thanks

When you say you try to purge the cache and "nothing works" what does this mean?
The program does not seem to do anything
When I look at the Preference/Thumbnail THERE IS NO PLACE FOR THUMBNAILS. I detected this before but I don't
know how to assign a place not even a default place apears there.
If you go to tools/cache/purge cache for xx folder does this work? Your thumbs should blank out and rebuild.
Nothing happens!!
I know I have to solve the thumbnail location issue, the problem is I don't know how!!

Running Lightroom 4.3 on Vista, I cant pass processed Canon EOS 6D RAW images to Photoshop CS4. when selecting to edit in CS4, Photoshop runs but no image appears. There is no error message. In Lightroom Photoshop editor preferences it makes no difference whether I select PSD of TIFF. Is thsi because CS4 is passed an incompatible RAW file... if so whyt no error message? Anyone any ideas?

You need to make sure Lightroom does the rendering (as CS4's ACR isn't compatible with LR4). When you choose edit in photoshop, do you get a compatibility warning with a prompt allowing you to choose "Render using lightroom" or "Open anyway"? If so, choose "Render using lightroom".
If you don't get the prompt, to to Edit menu, Preferences and general tab and click "Reset all warning dialogs".

Flash file will not show itself in cs4

I'm building a website for animations in DW cs4. When I insert a flash movie file [flv] and try to view it in the program or in my broswers I get this message: "Unable to find the plugin that handles this media type". I should add that the file looks stunning in Adobe Media player. Could sure use some help here.

First Adobe Media Player has been discontinued and will no longer be updated ( http://www.adobe.com/products/mediaplayer/ ). So I wouldn't gauge that for accuracy.
Second, can we see a link to the page? Typically in this case you are missing the Scripts folder or other associated files that DW creates to play the FLV file. But without seeing the file we can't say with 100% certainty.

Fonts not showing in CS4

I am sure this has been asked before, though I could not find any discussion thread. There are a number of fonts, for instance several Adobe OpenType, that do not show up in CS4 (Photoshop, Illustrator). I run CS4 on a Mac [Leopard]. I also have Extensis Suitcase Fusion ver 2. I did find differences in installation between the Mac HD and my user font folders. However, copying a font type from one folder to the other does not make it appear in the CS4 application.
I am attaching a screenshot of Suitcase Fusion showing some of the fonts,
Any help is extremely welcome.

By default, all East Asian fonts, like 'Adobe Song Std', appear towards the bottom of the font menu (after Zapf Dingbats or Zapfino), and their names are not in English. Assuming these fonts are correctly installed, you can get to them simply by typing their name on the Character panel, as shown in this screenshot.
If you want the font names on the font menu to appear in English, just go to Preferences > Type and check the option "Show Font Names in English".

ITC Garamond Bold not showing in InDesign but OK in Photoshop/Illustrator

ITC Garamond not showing in Indesign CS4, Mac 10.5.8. But OK in Photoshop and Illustrator.
I removed the font cache and even used Fontnuque to remove all the fonts cache on my Mac to no avail.
