Sorry - dumb question from a newbie - I added a question with 6 images then copied it multiple times to question pools. Sadly I forgot to remove a transition effect and now my quiz is negatively affected. Is there anyway to mass update the transition effect to all images in a file?

Hi there
Try double clicking one of the images and changing the transition. See that "Apply to all" check box in the lower left corner? Click that. See that "Settings" button? Click that and ensure the options are as desired.
Click OK and if all goes well the images will now be configured as desired.

Mass Update Column In Tabular Form

Hi,
I'm trying to create a tabular form that has a mass update column function. i.e. the tabular form will be displayed as normal but at the top of certain columns will be a text box or lov and what ever is entered into those boxes will be cascaded into the empty values in that column without refreshing the page.
Hope that makes sense.
I've search the forum but cant find reference, is this possible.

But how can i get it to reference a column, this is what I'm using to reference another item

and I've tried changing the P4_TEXT to other things like

But with no luck

Is there a way to mass update or replace the SPM Firefighter IDs table?

We are upgrading from GRC 5.2 to 5.3. In 5.3 FF/SPM has added an Owners field to the FF ID table (/virsa/zffusers), which is apparently a required field because I keep getting a "Invalid Firefighter ID Owner" error when I try to look at the table.
Is there a way to mass update, or perhaps import/replace, this table? I am having problems trying to update this table thru the FF table screen. When I go to save my changes, it will return the above error because not all of the FFID records have an assignment in this new Owners field. We have over 160 FFIDs, so I can't change all of the records at the same time. I can only get about 20 per screen and it will return that error again when I try to page forward.

that is perfectly possible - did it a few times already.
Export the table from within Firefighter, download the owners table (sorry, need to look up the name tomorrow - but you can't miss it), then add the owners through an Excel vlookup. Then re-import the table in Firefighter, and you're ste.

Mass update of freight vendor in PO condition

I need to do mass update the freight vendor in purchase order (vendor code given in the PO planned delivery condition),Is there any way to achieve this instead of doing it manually I mean selecting PO's one by one?Thanks for your advise in advance!

Hi Sandeep,
Mass updation of Freight Vendor in Purchase Order is not possible in Standrad. However, you can develop small custom report to update the Freight Vendor against freight condition for Open POs.
Secondly, Maintain Freight condition using condition Record/Access Seq and Specify the Freight Vendor. So that it get automatically picked up for the newly created Purhcase Orders.

Mass updates for Notification/Workorder status

Is there any way for Mass update of 'status' because orders and notifications need to be un-teco before updating planner groups and work centers? we are using Mass update for IW58,IW38 & IW29 and there is no option for STATUS update.

In IW28 & IW58 there is option u201CPut in Processu201D in Notification Menu, but when I used this option it says u201CNotification is completed -> can only be displayedu201D. I wonder why this option is not working if Notification is completed.

Mass update of AR departments 8.4 and above

We have had a restructure and are wanting to close a department code. However there are several hundred open items that point to this department. I am wanting to know if anyone else has figured out an online option to move the items from one department to another so that when they are paid/written off/credited that information goes to the new department not the old. As mentioned I am trying for a front end method, i have been looking at the possibility of using Mass change.

You need to write PeopleCode to do these updates, mass update is not best option according to my experience.

Vendor Mass Update

Hello SRM Folks,
We want to do mass update for vendors (Updating proxy bidding flag in Manage Business Partner) since we have 3000 vendors. It will be highly complex to update it manually. Could any one of you have gone through such experience then please share with us.
Is it possible to use LSMW or eCatt to update proxy bidding flag on vendor master (Transaction BBPMAININT)

Hi. Is the data you want available in transaction BP?
If it is you should be able to use ecatt.
Failing that you could try function BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE with ecatt, or a custom program.
You could also try BBPMAININT, but I am not sure if you will be able to call the service trnasaction in the GUI using ecatt.

I feel You have changed the MRP controller in Material master and want to incorporate same in production order & plan order.
For Planned order Run MRP with delete and recreate mode, system will create a new plan order with MRP controller in Material master
For production order, Mass change is not possible, create a simple BDC or LSMW, And change the MRP controller

SD Mass update for customer in VA42

Hi all,
I wanna know if it's possible to make a mass update about the field MASSCONTHEAD_S-KUNNR (customer) in VA42, I tried with MASS transaction but at the end of the process appears a message telling that the data changes haven't been done. I tried modifying another header data field example the purchase order number in VA42 and it works.

As per the message, it seems, while doing MASS updation, you have not given any new value on top.
As you are aware, in MASS, after selecting the field and executed, a screen will appear wherein, on top you can see a tab "New Values". Below some documents will be displayed with existing values.
You have to input new value on top box and execute. Hope this is what you have tried. If not, try once again but again I can express based on the message number that you have not given any new value under the tab cited above.

I don't think this is currently possible from within CRM On Demand.
As an alternative, you could consider 2 options:
1. Use the DataLoader:
- Export all the Custom Object Record ID's (Required/User Key Fields) of the batch you would like to update. Once Exported, put them in a certain folder (This way you could keep track of all the updates you are making, make 2 sets (Original and Updated) Updated will contain the updated values file which you can re-import.
2. Use a .NET utility (We have implemented this for one of our clients to do a certain type of periodic update on a Custom Object)

Mass Update for SMSY Server Routing Information

We are on the Setup Service process and we got around 980 customer's servers conected to our productive solution manager trought trusted RFC's connections.
The problem is that we have to change our router public IP on all this systems due to a ISP change, and with that change we have to change also our public IP which are connected all our customers.
There is any standard way to mass update entris on SMSY->server->routing information ?

Hi Lluis,
If you just want to do a mass SMSY update, I'd suggest using a CATT script since you can avoid ABAP coding in that case. However I fear that in addition to updating SMSY, you will also need to update all your RFC destinations (possibly the BACK destinations on the satellite systems too). In this case you are stuck with ABAP coding!

Opportunity Mass Update

Is it possible to do a mass update on an Opportunity field without changing(updating) the 'Modified By' field?

I recently created a few Opportunity Sales Stage Timestamp fields which would be updated by a workflow event when the Sales Stage field is changed.This works fine for newly modified Sales Stage records, but I would like to go in manually and update these timestamps field for opportunities that will not be modified by the Sales team for awhile.
The Sales Manager looks daily at a report that shows the recently modified opportunities and these timestamps are not really part of the Sales process.

Field BSEG-MANST. does not exist in the screen SAPMF05L 0301 in mass update

Hi,
I am trying to perform a mass update of dunning data (level and date) on some open items. Using the mass change function through FBL5N, I receive the error message, and the update is not performed. I cheched with the layout editor, but the fields appears in the mentioned screen. The field is also allowed for modification in customizing, for the company code. I was not able to find the dunning fields in the field status editor, in customizing.
Any hint?

More relevant is note 322163 Line items: mass change 'Payment Method' BSEG-ZLSCH, but this refer to a program error, our release is more recent, and, furthermore, the dunning fields aren't available for change in FB02.

Mass update of a custom field at Product Revenue level

We are trying to update a custom field at Product Revenue level using the Opportunity Web Service. The webservice call is timing out as we have thousands of Opportunities.
I would appreciate if anybody gives input on how we can massively update a custom field using Opportunity Web Service.
OR
Is there a way to mass update a custom field at Product Revenue level other than using a web service.

If you are not very much obsessed with Webservices, the other workaround is the Data Loader Tool. It was discussed earlier in this forum.
