I use different languages in my daily activities, when typing other than English Mac does not recognize them, is there anyway can Mac stop suggesting or automatically correcting me?

Is this a problem with the computer or with the word processor? MS Word for example seems to think its grammar and spelling are better than mine - they are not. You have to go into MS Word preferences and uncheck all the useless "help" it wants to provide.

  • In the Calendar there used to be the daily activities listed at the bottom of the page when you had the monthly view on it

In the Calendar there used to be the daily activities listed at the bottom of the page when you had the monthly view on it.
For example you could see the whole month, the day you select was highlighted and at the bottom of the page listed any activities.
Now this does not happen. Am I missing something?
The Calender seems to have gone backwards!!!
    HELP!!!
    PLEASE!!!!

Ditto!  I have always preferred the month as the default view and the list at the page bottom let me know what I need to pay attention to for today (or tomorrow, or any future date).  Having to scoll through every hour of the day to find items that may or not be there is a huge waste of time!
I hate this calendar!!!!  I've been okay with other changes in ios7 but they need to make changes.  How about letting us configure our own calendar views?  Choose "home" page look by month or week, itemize daily view by hour or by items entered, etc.

  • What are the sap basis daily activities  in support project

Hi Friends, recently i am involved in Support project, could you please tell me what are the daily activities to follow in support project
    thanks&regards
    suresh

    Hi Suresh,
Few of daily activities in which you as a Basis Consultant should involve are as below:
    - Day to day system administrative issues raised by users e.g. User ID locked or new SAP ID creations etc.
    - Daily watch on background batch jobs. If any job failed due to some reason, work on it to avoid such failure in future with the help of function consultant
    - Watch on system performance
    - Authorizations & Roles definitions & assignements depending upon requirement.
    - System Backup depending upon business requirement
    - Printer setup in SAP
    - Watch on Print spool to avoid failures in SAP doccuments printing
    - Watch on interfaces (IDoc/EDI etc), if any, with external system
Also talk to your earlier or senior Basis consultant to know more.
    Hope it will help you.

  • Daily Activities of APO DP Consultant

    Hi,
If the project runs for a year, what could be the daily activities of a DP  consultant?
    Regards,
    Ajit

    You will be asked to
    1) understand the present situation from Demand Planner users.
    2) If it is an implementation project you will need to ask for requirements, analysis, then prototyping.
    3) If it is not an implementaiton project, and if you have to support, then they will provide you with docuemnts
    4) Batch jobs play a main role. If you are looking for DP then you might aswell learn a little bit of BW, atleast to support few APO BW loads and enhancments.
    5) Extraction and reports, understanding the reports and supporting them.
If you can specifically tell us, we might be able to help you more.
If you feel you got helpful information reward accordingly.
    Thanks,

  • Daily activities of a support consultant

    Hello Masters,
What would be the daily activities of a support consultant?
I am bound to give points
    Thanks and Best wishes,
    I-BI

    HI
These are the Daily Support processes & related links,
    ***From SDN
Normally the production support activities include
    Scheduling
    R/3 Job Monitoring
    B/W Job Monitoring
Taking corrective action for failed data loads.
Working on some tickets with small changes in reports or in AWB objects.
The activities in a typical Production Support would be as follows:
    1. Data Loading - could be using process chains or manual loads.
    2. Resolving urgent user issues - helpline activities
    3. Modifying BW reports as per the need of the user.
    4. Creating aggregates in Prod system
    5. Regression testing when version/patch upgrade is done.
    6. Creating adhoc hierarchies.
    Also refer these posts:
Re: In production Support , how i can acquire the knowledge
Re: How to resolve tickets  its urgent
    Re: production support issues
    production support
we can perform the daily activitiesin Production
    1. monitoring Dataload failures thru RSMO
    2. Monitoring Process Chains Daily/weekly/monthly
    3. Perform Change run Hirerachy
    4. Check Aggr's Rollup
    To add to the above
    1) check data targets are ready for reporting,
    2) No failed or cancelled jobs in sm37 monitors and Bw Monitor.
    3) All requests are loaded for day, monthly and yearly also.
    4) Also to note down time taken for loading of critical infocubes which are used for reporting
    5) Is there any break in any schedules from your process chains.
It's totally a client specific tool.
The common features here can be
    A ticket Id,
    Priority,
    Consultant ID/Name,
    User ID/Name,
    Date of Post,
    Resolving Time etc.
There ideally is also a knowledge repository to search for a similar problem and solutions given if it had occurred earlier.
You can also have training manuals (with screen shots) for simple transactions like viewing a query, saving a workbook etc so that such queried can be addressed by using them.
When the problem is logged on to you as a consultant, you need to analyse the problem, check if you have a similar problem occurred earlier and use ready solutions, find out the exact server on which this has occured etc.
You have to solve the problem (assuming you will have access to the dev system) and post the solution and ask the user to test after the preliminary testing from your side.
Get it transported to production once tested and posts it as closed i.e. the ticket has to be closed.
---If there is a dataload failure, what steps/checks do i need to follow. Etc.
it means thats depends upon the failure we need to monitor and take corrective action ..
generally we do in load failures...
    ST22 for any shortdumps
    sm21 for log entries and
    TRF entries
    sm12 for any locks
we need to analyze from these t-codes.
    Changing query/object
-change ticket from open to working.
-get additional details if any required.
    -create transport request in dev.
-make the change and save in transport.
-check that transport goes through OK.
    -do testing in QA system.
-after testing is OK,get change transported to prod.
    -update ticket and resolve it.
-usually helpdesk closes ticket after confirmation with user who raised ticket.
    data load failure
-regularly check rsmo(monitor) for data load failures.
-if load fails, get details from details tab of monitor.
-usual errors are:master data missing, special characters in data, datasource not replicated, delta load issues etc.
-get root cause of error, and fix data load manually.
-check that manually updated data is GREEN and available for reporting in data target.
    -update ticket and resolve it.

  • DBA Checklist for Daily activities

    Hi Experts,
Tomorrow i am having interview in MNC company in india, now i am working in Indian based product company.I am expecting tomo first question is Roles and Responsibilities of DBA in daily and weekly.
As i am in product based company with I am not much aware of MNC DBA. How to tackle this question.
if you dont mind can you list our major daily and weekly work of DBA's it will helpful for me tomo.
    pls
    Thanks
    Selva

They wont judge you if you wont answer roles and responsibility question correctly this question has meaning to guage how much you are aware with technical activities and did you actually do that or not. Concentrate on your technical knowledge rather.
You could refer to Checklist but answer is DBA checklist varies and so does DBA profile. Instead of referring to cheklist jot down daily task you do no matter howsoever simple dont fake in an interview tell them truth they want your knowledge not DBA activities.
Please mark this reply as answer if it solved your issue or vote as helpful if it helped so that other forum members can benefit from it.

  • How can I make an Excel Sheet where I can tally my daily activities and make a graph of it?

I want a simple excel sheet where in the columns I can have dates and in the rows I can have my activities and in the spaces between I can put a number like 1 or 2 or 5 indicating the number of hours spent that day on that activity.  Finally, I would
want to be able to, using the hours data for the entire month for each activity, be able to create a pie chart breaking down how much time I spent on each activity.
The issue is I do not know to rename rows and columns and I do not know how to format it all to ensure I can make a pie chart at the end comparing all of my activities.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

*SAP BO reports on SAP BI:*
As we are creating OLAP cubes/Infocubes in SAP BI, same way BO has Universe.
Universe is based on direct Infocube/ Multiprovider/DSO(ods) and BEx query.
    Universe Designer:
Only thing is one has to establish connection to access SAP BI system. To do this job, while choosing datasource, you have to select SAP Business Intelligence 3.x -- Client. And next screens it will prompt for User logon credentials to access SAP BI system. Once, connection is tested OK. Click next and it will list out all the OLAP Cubes available in SAP BI system and select the relavant one and click on next - next -- Finish.
Now you have created Universe on top of SAP BI system. Then Export the Universe to Server.
Open Infoview to start Web Intelligence report(s) and choose the Universe from the list of universes then it will take you to WebI Query panel , in that drag the Objects(Dimension/Detail/Measure) to result objects pane to see them in BO Report and to filter data use Query filters pane or do it in Report level.
Once you are in WebI report level , you will get lots of options to see your reports in different styles.
For better customizations: Use BEx queries based on Infocube. (In BEx query properties, one has to Check Allow OLAP access enabled)
    BODI -->> BODS
After SAP aquiring BO and the latest version released with BODS(Data Services), It's basically ETL process, do the job same as what we exactly do to create Infocube. (Extraction of data , transformations and loading) and with additional transformations introduced.
    Thank You!!

    Any advise is kindly appreciate.

For the Job description, can i knw what is the function and task for the job ?
For eg, SAP_APPLICATION_STAT_COLLECTOR. How i knw what is the exact feature does this job doing ? Meanwhile, is there any Tcode or table that allow me to check for the feature of every SAP jobs, including Abap program. Besides going through the logic of the program.
