Daily and monthly performance view

Hi,
I have problem with the built in performance view of SCVMM 2012 R2 U4.
The environment consist of 5 hyper-v hosts in a cluster configuration.
Problem:
Four of the five hosts does not show network and storage performance counters.
One host show the storage and network performance counters.
This is only in SCVMM GUI. From the powershell I can see the performance counters and history of all the hosts.
The aggregated value of e.g. used memory is not correct in the GUI.
The performance counters of the hosts are working correctly. SCVMM have access to the servers as well and can read all the counters since it's working from the command line. This has to do something with this SQL database. I need to reset the collected performance
data or rebuild the performance tables and stored procedures some how.
This is driving me crazy. Any help is appreciated!

Instead of hard coding the HRS as 8 in PCR please try to read the hours from Info type 0007. Sample PCR is as below.
where EG-1 is intern
Z105-Time type
For permanent employee complete calculation will be based on the IT0008.
Please explain with an example if you still have any queries.

Does anyone out there have experience with using PRA for daily production allocations?
I know there are lots of companies using PRA for their monthly production allocations but I was hoping to get some feedback as to why companies have avoided doing their daily allocations in PRA. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

GL Tables Partitioning with daily and monthly periods

This implementation(bank) has a requirement for 'daily periods' (01-Jan-2010 ...31-Dec-2010 ) and 'monthly periods' (Jan-2010 ...Dec-2010)
They are also using multiple sets of books, multi-org.
Please advise how to best partition GL tables to best serve those requirements.

Has anybody tried using an on-update trigger on GL_PERIOD_STATUSES to automatically create partition?
if CLOSING_STATUS changes to 'F' or 'O'
and period_name not in dba_tab_partitions
create partition
We plan to use GL_PERIOD_STATUSES because GL_PERIODS.period_name
still changes until the period_name becomes used.
Is there a much better way of doing this?

Banks in our location are regulated by central bank and subject to daily report requirements, therefore the daily periods.
gl_balances and gl_je_lines are the two tables we are looking to partition.
estimated records for daily is around 500K to 1M.

Month and Week Calendar view - does not show events that span days?

In the weekly and monthly calendar views, if you have an event, such as a show or an appointment where you will be out of town for several days, the view will only show the appointment for the first day, and not for the entire event life. For example, in MS Outlook, if you schedule an event that begins on Date 1 and ends of Date 2, spanning several days, the calendar will show the date range as blocked off. Does the calendar in CRM do the same? If so, is this a setup parameter?
Also, with the calendar, is there a way to have the small calendar in the left panel show the days with a scheduled event to be bold or somehow indicate that there is an event on that day?

System Performance is always checked by a list of our lovely transactions in BASIS I generally had created one for my self and keep a track of performance..
IT goes like this..
Daily : DB12(Check Backup Logs);SM51(Check serv are UP);RZ20(Look for ALerts); SM13;SM21;SM37(check for cancelled jobs);SM12; st22 (dumps); ST02; SM35; SP01 (Spool jobs for more time); AL02; ST04; AL16.
Weekly : DB12; DB02; SAPDBA checks ; DB drives and space; EWA report of the past week.
Monthly : More or less the same stuff of Weekly with Archive files as well ...and SAPDBA cleanup logs... Monitor the DB growth and check for the backup logs...
Hopefully this info shd help yoiu in this regard.

Order changes in Monthly and Weekly Data View

Hi,
    I need some of your suggestions for my problem below:
I have a planning book with two data views (1 with monthly bucket and other with weekly bucket).Now I create three forecast orders in the weekly data view as below:
Quantity     Date
10         05.11.2007
20         12.11.2007
30         19.11.2007
So I can see the sum as 60 in the monthly data view. Now I try to modify (deduct by 5) the forecast order from the monthly data view. So the sum 60 changes to 55 but when I see the details of the order it looks strange to me.

Please let me know what is the logic behind this?
But if I perform the above calculation for the category 'HG' as above I get the result like this.

This is possibly because of the settings in the planning area for the time disaggregation of the Key figure
Can you go Planning area administration and see what the setting is in the key figure disaggregation tab?
I think it needs to be P for proportional distribution and will use previously existing proportions for new quantities.
instead in your case it is ignoring previously exsisting proportions and distributing afresh. Am not sure what type that is (K?)
the F1 on the time based disaggregation field will give you a better idea.
if you want to know why the 11 and 5 are there at the ends and 13 is in the middle buckets, it is because the storage buckets for the weeks have 6, 7,7,7 and 2 days and 55/30 multiplied by these days is how the number are calculated.

Before you panic, try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.

I turn off all calendars but the birthdays. Select [Print]. Choose all the months you want to see. Deselect all calendars but birthdays. Click [Continue]. On the next menu, go to "Layout", select how many pages to print on the paper. I usually print a border around each calendar then you're good to go!
By only printing the birthdays calenar, you won't get too many appointments to get in the way of brain storming and future planning, yet the computer still thinks its printing a useful calendar.

Calendar in List view different from Day and Month view

When I look at my Calendar in 'List' view all of the Birthdays and Events are in the wrong date but in 'Day' and 'Month' view they are correct.
Has anybody found a fix for this yet? I have looked at similar discussions but they are all a couple of years old and none seem to have found the solution

It looks like I have found a solution - it is to do with the birthday dates - if you delete the year of any pre-1932 birthdays it solves the problem!

It doesn't.
What it does is discard intermediate backups at the end of 24 hrs and keep just three spaced backups from the previous day.
At the end of the next day, that day's will be reduced to 3, and the previous 3 trimmed to one; the last backup of that day.
Daily backups are kept for a month, then trimmed to the last backup of the week.
The weekly backups are kept until the disc runs out of space and TM starts deleting the oldest ones.

The daily, weekly, and monthly maintanence scripts

Hello All,
I have a power mac G4 Digital Audio at 733mhz, my question is why am I not seeing the automatic maintanence scripts coming on at 3am in the morning? I am usually up on my computer at those times, but still have yet to see the system go into automatic maintanence scripts at that time of the morning? Is there something wrong with my configuration file for the scripts, or is there something I need to do in order for it to work?

Just a quick check: have you looked in /var/log/daily.out to see if the daily jobs are outputting anything to the logs, or maybe that's what you're talking about? Nothing logged?
Um, if there's nothing in the log, then you may have a /etc/daily.local file overriding the default script in /etc/periodic/daily in someway. A quick check of /etc/periodic/daily/500.daily may prove helpful. It should be doing all it's normal log rotations and jazz... If the file looks normal (not corrupted or just blank say) maybe try putting a little command to write something to /var/log/daily.out to tell yourself it's working like (you'll need to sudo this):
echo "this is daily.out working like a champ"
or whatever. Same thing for the weekly and monthly scripts...
If you've done all this already and haven't looked yet, check out the manual pages for periodic, periodic.conf, cron, crontab, and so forth...maybe there's some goofy setting hosing things somewhere.

Displaying Tasks in Weekly and Monthly Views

Hi,
According to the on-line help for oracle calendar 9.0.4, tasks cannot be viewed in the weekly and monthly views - when using the web client. I was wondering whether anyone has found a way to work around this - apart from usinng the 'view task' icon.
