Daily and weekly repoort about Oracle DB status/statistics to management

Hi,
My management asked me to send them a daily and weekly repoort about Oracle Databases status/statistics etc. I like to know which kind of report mostly other DBA use.

Time on Calendar Region Daily and Weekly View

I have created a SQL calendar and the dates work fine, but how can I get the data to display in the appropriate time block on the weekly or daily view? There is no item for calendar_time, only calendar_date. Why is there a view for Daily and Weekly but no way to use the time features???

Daily and Weekly Alerts with wrong urls

Hi,
We are experiencing a problem with the weekly and daily alerts.
The url's included in the alert message are wrong. The url's in the immediate alerts are correct.
But on the daily and weekly they are wrong.
Instead of having the urls with: http://mysite/teamsite/_layouts/15/start.aspx#/default.aspx
The urls have; http://ts1/ts1/Shared%20Documents
The only url correct is the mobile link. The link for the document is also incorrect.
I already tried the Invoke-AlertFixup and didnt work.
Any idea how this can be fix?

Did this issue still happen to all users when they create a new alert on these problematic (or new) lists/libraries?
After running the Invoke-AlertFixup correctly, please check if it could help with a recycle and restart of IIS (even a server reboot).

HT201412 I cannot open the month of March 2013 in my iPad3 calendar. I can however see it in the year view for 2013 and I can view the daily and weekly calendars for March 2013. Any ideas what has gone wrong ? Thanks

I have a new iPad3 and have found I cannot open the month of March 2013 when I tap on it. All other months open OK ! I can see March 2013 in the yearly view and I can open the individual days, and weeks, of March 2013 but I cannot see the whole month in the monthly view. When I try to open the monthly view for March 2013 it returns me to the start screen which shows all the apps etc and closes the Calendar app. Any guidance of what is going wrong and how it can be corrected. A Stranger and infrequent problem about Oracle TNSListener

Today I first set up Oracle 9i( 9.2.0.2 version ) on my OS( Windows XP ),when setting up tnslsnr.exe my OS show a error diaglouge:TNSLSNR.EXE faced a problem,need to be closed.After setting up Oracle,when I create a listener for my global database,and log in the database,the problem I met happened again.So I know,when the TNSLSNR.EXE is called,the problem will happen,how should I fix the problem?And do you come across this condition?

Daily and weekly split in MD67

Hi All,
We have one requirement. we give requirement as per the fiscal period. (transfered from APO)
Foe some materails we want that this PIR is spllitted in daily requirement for next four weeks and in weekly requirement for 48 weeks after that.
Can you please advice if this can be achieved by MD67. I tried this but requirement is splitted in weeks but the daily splitt is not happening.

Try to configure OMPH.
Create spliting rule with week in days = # of week for daily split, No of week = # of week for weekly split, Dist.W = GLEI (equal distribution), Dist.M = GLEI (equal distribution).
For Distribution key, configure using path Production -> Production planning ->Demand Management -> Planned indep.mgmt. -> Automatic split -> Distribution function for auto split -> Distribution strategy
Use your splitting rule in MD67 in Period Split field.

What SAP tool do you use to manage daily and weekly tasks etc

Hi guys
I'm new to basis and am going through setting up my (and others) daily tasks and would like to know if there is an SAP tool that I can use to manage them.
This way all my tasks can be used by other administrators if I'm away, I can report on tasks completed etc for compliance and I can monitor whether contractors etc are doing their jobs properly.

1. If your query is related to daily system administration/monitoring tasks, you can make use of the Central System Administration functionality within SAP Solution Manager, which enable you to schedule the Basis related tasks along with the required frequency.
This is a good functionality.
If any of the tasks is not performed/left open, it generates an open action item icon in the initial dashboard of Solution Manager.
With this, you/ your team can also make a note of the tasks they have performed and finally you can generate report from it.
2. Along with the above said functionality, you can also use the Service Level Reporting functionality which gives an overview of the Service Level performance of the systems.

I am in need of some suggestions. I have been learning oracle for almost 4 weeks now, and I need to design a database with some real world functionality. I want it to be fairly difficult so that I am able to learn things by being "thrown to the wolves" so to speak. I will be designing it from scratch basically: requirements gathering, ERD and Normalization, Table creation, and then implementing functionality in increments. I know that is a lot on my plate, but I'm sure I can do it with the amount of resources and documentation there is available.
First things first, I will be using Oracle 10g XE as the database software. I am trying to determine what kind of database I want to design though. I really would like to stay away from the traditional/generic databases, if you know what I mean. Or if it is one of the popular starter DBs, then something with a twist maybe. Here is one of the things I have thought about, hopefully some of you guys that respond can shoot some more ideas at me:
Corporate Inventory database for a company that does a lot of field service work with local parts, but would sometimes require parts to be shipped from other locs:
DB would track inventory for all offices throughout company.
Basic users could only view inventory for each office.
Mid-level users could add/remove items at their local office, and request items to be shipped from other offices.
Management-users could add/remove items, request items, and would be able to approve any pending inventory transfers.
DBA - The administrator, can add new users, remove users, and all the other power that comes with being a DBA.
Does something like this seem like a good project? I would be able to address concurrency, error handling (with codes), multiple user types, etc.
Can somebody suggest a front-end for this?
I was thinking to maybe make a JSP/JSF web based service (to be run locally at first) for all of the forms and such and then use the Oracle XE for the back-end. Does anybody think there is something more suitable?
Also, if anybody can think of another DB system to design that may be better to learn from or more interesting, please suggest it.

I would like to take this project slow, I mean I do not plan on having this be a working application in 2 weeks. I would like to slowly develop it and move on to each step after the previous step is understood.
Such as, first start by understanding what tables and keys I will be needing in order to have a database which tracks inventory. Then create users that only have certain privileges. Then start to slowly create the functions/procedures and triggers that will be used to perform certain transactions on the database, starting with the most simple ones first. Finally decide on a front-end that will be best for allowing users to perform transactions in a friendly interface.
By no means do I think this is simple, but I do believe if I approach it correctly I can learn a lot. I was basically just hoping the experienced users in this community could help me understand the best approach and some basic ideas I may need to understand about developing a project like this.

Well, the question is almost philosophic... 
In 9i, there is a Migration Guide whereas in 10g there is a Upgrade Guide. 
Furthermore, in 9i, there is the command line startup migrate whereas in 10g that's startup upgrade.
Somebody think upgrade when go to new release, and migration when go to new version. 
Others think upgrade when new version replace database in place, and migration when new version include a move of database. 
Another point of view is : upgrade is for technical, and migration for application/data. 
 
Well, after these explanations, your upgrade/migratation notion will not be more clear, but I think that is not very important, only a terminology game. The most important is to know what you need : new version or new release.

Presumably you are refering to oracle.sql.TIMESTAMP. While this is intended to (and does) correspond to java.sql.Timestamp it can't be a subclass because it needs to be a subclass of oracle.sql.Datum.
