Daily Decline in ranking score

Dear Moderators:
                          I want to know the criteria or method which is used to change the daily points. I am top contributor at ERP financial , Yesterday my points in last 30 days were 638 but today i found them 588. Overall points are same. I want to ask the basis on which daily points are changed.
Another issue being faced is that i am unable to view my watched they always end up in error. No speed issue whatsoever , other colleagues are able to view their watches in control panel. Please guide.
Regards

Hi Atif,
Q1. The answer is hidden in your question, as you are saying that this score is of last 30 days so Yesterday for Last 30 days it was 638 and today it is 588 mean on 30th day you got 50 Points so
638 - 50 = 588
If today again you will get 50 then again your last 30 days Points become 638.
Q2. As I think your watches are more in numbers as compare to your friend so you are having problem and your friend not.
Hope you got my points.
Thanks and Regards,
Faisal

  • My watches issue & rolling period logic

    Dear Concerned:
    I am unable to view my watches in control panel. I have been facing this problem since a long time , internet speed is awesome, other colleagues of mine can see their watches ,the page ends up in an error mentioned under
    Problem Report
    There was a communication problem.
    Message ID
    TCP_ERROR
    Problem Description
    The system was unable to communicate with the server.
    Possible Problem Cause
        The Web server may be down.
        The Web server may be too busy.
        The Web server may be experiencing other problems, preventing it from responding to clients.
        The communication path may be experiencing problems.
    Possible Solution
    Try connecting to this server later.
    now in order to resolve the issue when i try to send an e mail to SAP network  using my official ID( i receive SDN correspondence on daily basis on my official ID  ) or other ID there is delivery failure and i am unable to send it to the concerned to get my issue resolved.
    Secondly i am unable to understand the rolling period logic with regard to daily decline in ranking.. I am top contributor on Financial Forum...Today my score is 662, by tomorrow it will be reduced by 20 or 30 , if the 30 days rolling logic would be applied then it should also stand true for other contributors. Rolling period logic was explained to me by Daily Decline in ranking score
    Their daily score does not decline. Why is that so? Would someone clarify the underlying logic.
    Regards

    Nilanjan,
    Thanks for your prompt reply as always.  Somehow I was able to get this thing working, please don't ask me how.  It was just a piece of bigger logic code.
    I have awarded you full points..
    Thx,

  • Whats happeming to daily ranking

    Dear,
    I am posting this thread after being so much depressed. Score at SDN has never been a source of motivation for but last 30 days top contributor at ERP FINANCIAL forum is obviously a source of pleasure for me and my mates. What i observe daily is that after 24 hours my contribution ranking gets deducted automaticaly (please note that overall life time score remains same) . I would like to give you an example yesterday my ranking score was 696 and total life time score were 1609 but when i see them today life time score are same but my ranking score has declined to 636. Why is it happening to only me, other contributor on the forum remain unaffected. Their daily ranking remains intact. Why me? I am very demoralized due to this strange system behaviour. No doubt knowledge gained at SDN has no match but still i want to know why is it happening to me. I will wait for modertaors detailed reply.
    Regards

    What's the problem?
    Say between 01.06.2011 and 30.06.2011 (inclusive), you were awarded 600 points, then on 01.07.2011, you'll see a ranking based on 600 points. Assume that on 01.06.2011 you were awarded 100 points, and that on 01.07.2011 you were awarded 2,.then you'll se a ranking of 600 - 100 + 2 = 502.
    The clue is in the ranking title - the last 30 days. Anything gained more than 30 days ago won't be included. What were you expecting to see?
    It's basic maths.

  • How to order scores (RANK?)

    I am trying to create an electronic score sheet.  Basically I need it to rank my scores but basically assign a "Place" list 1st, 2nd, 3rd....   If there is a tie for any given place, thats fine, but I can't skip the next place.  ( IE, If I have a 3 way tie for 2nd I dont want the next place to be 5th, when it should be 3rd.)  This is for a trvia game that has a larger number of players and needs to be scored quickly.  Any thoughts on how to deal with this?

    Here's an example showing several tie scores, and no more than 4 'places'. Further places are shown here to allow for a description of what the Leader Board table is doing. Details below.
    Column A uses SMALL() to return the rank + values in Scores, Column C. The formula differs from the one in my earlier example only in that it does not limit the results to RANK values less than 6. This is a 'working' column, and would be hidden in use.
    Note that A1 must contain a zero.
    A2, and filled down: =SMALL(Scores :: C,ROW()-1)
    Column B is a new column. It converts the Rank + scores in column A to 'Place' scores according to your criteria.
    B2, and filled down: =IF(LEN(A2)>0,IF(ROW()=2,1,IF(INT(A1)<INT(A2),MAX($B$1:B1)+1,MAX($B$1:B1))),"")
    Note that this formula will continue to return values beyond "4". These values are used to keep cells blank in columns C and D. They may be hidden from view using this conditional formatting rule, applied to all cells in column B:
    In use, set the text colour to white (as shown) when the condition is met. In the example, I used a light grey to allow the numbers to be seen.
    C2, and filled down: =IF(AND(LEN($A)>0,B2<5),LOOKUP($A,Scores :: $C,Scores :: A),"")
    D2, and filled down: =IF(AND(LEN($A)>0,B2<5),LOOKUP($A,Scores :: $C,Scores :: B),"")
    In Use: The Leader Board table must be long enough to display at least one 'blank' row at the bottom, indicating that all scores qualifying for fourth place have been included.

  • Ranked results through web services

    I am using the web service API to create a custom search interface and my results are coming back unranked. The provided search tool gives these results sorted by rank and I was wondering is there a parameter to use for performing a query through the API to get ranked results or do I have to manually sort and display the results myself?
    Documentation for the Java proxy library doesn't seem to exist. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    I did some more testing and have found that I am getting the results ranked, however I am getting old rank scores through the web service.
    For example, I perform a query and have 3 results. These results each had an initial ranking of 20. Now through the admin tool I have changed the result rankings to 60, 40, and 30. With the provided search tool I get the updated and expected ordering of results with this query.
    However, through the web service API I get the results back with the original scores of 20 for each result and the original ordering before I edited the relevancy scores. This is not just a problem with my own application as I have also setup and run the sample WS application. It too is displaying the results in the original ordering.
    A few questions I can think of then is...
    Where and when was that original rank of 20 determined for each result?
    Why is the web service giving me back results with old rank scores after I have updated them?

  • 4 signs to know that your lead scoring program is working

    Getting the science of how your buyers engage with you is key for making revenue generation more predictable. We have worked with many sales and marketing organizations who look to putting in a lead scoring system to better qualify which leads should go to sales, validate that online campaigns are influencing MQL production and to make sales people more efficient. Regardless of whether you are testing the scoring methodology within marketing or have a system that is in place, I wanted to share 4 tips to highlight how you can determine if your current system is working before you make any changes.
    Eloqua RPIs are moving in the right direction. Value, Reach, Conversion, Velocity, Return are Eloqua's revenue performance indicators and there is a connection between the output of your scoring system and each indicator. Ensuring that you have a process for scoring leads in your marketing database (reach), monitoring the speed (velocity) at which they move through funnel (conversion), will give you a sense of how well your system is performing and its impact on revenue generation. Value and Return will become clear once you have seen enough scored contacts flow through buying cycles to become customers in order for those to become clear.
    Your top ranked leads outperform the other categories. Measuring fit and engagement are among the best practices for building a sound lead scoring system. Fit includes all of the firmographic pieces of information that your buyer gives you or can be appended via Eloqua's AppCloud. Engagement speaks to Digital Body Language or their online buying behavior. You should look at a conversion matrix for A1s down to D4s and look at the % of those MQLs become accepted (Lead Acceptance Rate by Lead Score report via CRM). You should also look at what happens when your target buyer, scores highly, and then becomes part of an opportunity - are there other patterns that are worth noting: opportunity close rates for A leads is x time faster than any other score? Having your own benchmark for what happens when you get an A1 lead will build confidence in your scoring model and drive the right behaviour.
    Lead Acceptance rates rise. A good system will invoke sales' trust in marketing and the leads they generate. McAfee, the 2011 Markie Winner in our Clean House category sought after Eloqua's AppCloud tools for data.com and Demandbase when they saw a dual decline in Lead Scores and fewer leads going over to CRM over time. Missing data impacts, routing, lead scoring, segmentation, reporting and trust with your sales team. McAfee addressed the problem and saw an overall WW increase in lead acceptance and a 25% increase in acceptance in one of their global regions. On the behavior side, to ensure that you have the right patterns, you should look at any closed deals that were touched by marketing and look for the campaigns that influenced the buyers (first campaign, last campaign before opp creation) and chat with sales about any tactics that are offline that can be looped into your scoring model. Either way, if sales has trust in the data - both from a fit and engagement perspective, they will work the leads and any hesitation to accept should go away.
    Average / Total Opportunity Value rises. Being able to model your buyer's actions into a science may give your sales team an opportunity to cross sell or deepen that initial conversation. 2011 Markie Winner for Integration Innovation, Progress Software experienced a drop in lead creation, but a rise in total opportunity creation and closed won revenue by leveraging Eloqua's AppCloud to pull in buyer attributes to support scoring. If you can instill confidence in your buyer early on, you are more likely to get their trust and be able to create a dialogue that leads to a superior buying experience and more revenue throughout that relationship.
    Let me know your thoughts and your experiences with measuring the impact of your lead scoring system. I hope that you continue to look to Topliners for inspiration and to take your usage of marketing automation to the next level!

    Nice post Adrian.
    I think another great indicator is your SAL to SQL rate increases as well. Ultimately, sales wants opportunities from Marketing not qualified leads. Another great indicator is time spent in the Qualifiy stage. Looking at a pipeline aging report, if your lead scored SALs are moving from SAL to SQL quicker than other channels, you know your sales team is having an easy time qualifiying these leads  - an indicator that your lead scoring program is doing a good job of finding the right person at the right time.

  • Amex SPG 10K SL w/ Major Derog

    Just wanted to share in case anyone who is still working on a rebuild would find it useful. Tried to boil it down to bullets so it's as straightforward as possible. A year ago I had gotten my scores into the 680s at all 3, and got a targeted mail offer for a Green charge card with 25K MR points. At that time I had an unpaid C/O for 19K showing from 4 years ago (auto repo) and a couple other baddies (a paid C/O for $129 from 4 yrs ago and lates from student loans from 5 yrs ago). The C/O had stopped updating 4 yrs ago.Applied for the Green, and after reading that you could usually get a revolver right after approval for a charge card using the same EX pull, I checked their online offers and saw that I could also get the EveryDay card with 15K MR pointsApplied for the Green, instapproved, and then the ED, instapproved for 1K with lowest available APR of 12.99%Since then, I tried every 90 days for a CLI on the ED but was declined citing my score and derogs. (The C/O started updating monthly again in November 14 and has been continuing to update ever since).Meanwhile, I added a DCU card with a 5K limit and two Cap One cards to my wallet (the Venture with a 10K limit and the Plat Prestige with a 5K). Those grew to 13K and 7K respectively after 3 statements.In May my EX was up to 714, so I added a Delta Amex Gold card, instapproved for 2K with 19.24% APRThen in June this year, I was again eligible to try for a CLI on the EveryDay and it worked, up from 1K to 3K.So, I decided to try for the SPG last night, because I think the Starpoints will be a good currency for me (planning to downgrade the Venture to a QS when the AF comes due, so I could afford one more AF card)Was not instapproved, got the 14-day message. Called in this morning, and after a couple verification questions got approved for 10K. Gave me the 19.24% APR, which I think is their highest, but doesn't matter since I'll always PIF on a rewards card. Again, still have the unpaid C/O showing up monthly, as well as the paid CO and those student loan lates. I think the reason I succeeded was because I now have a full year of spending & paying history with Amex, during which I've PIFd every product every month. (Overall spend of about 15K across all 3 cards over the past year). Current scores are below, income has been steady at 76K during all of the above. Hope this is helpful to anyone else who's rebuilding and maybe wasn't sure if Amex was worth applying to. Happy to answer any other questions about my file or stats if useful.

    Hey JustMe, Thanks for the note, and it was a bummer that it took so long to get the CLI on the EveryDay. What I noticed as I read these boards is that this seems to happen with folks who have baddies - that Amex will make you wait about 11 months from the date of open to be eligible for your first 3x CLI. And that's exactly what happened to me - opened the account on July 11 2014, and on June 12 2015 I got my first CLI approval. I'm assuming (fingers crossed) that because I got this one, and because my SPG's limit is so much better, that I should now be on-track to get a CLI every 6 months on one of my cards. My strategy for that is going to be to still focus on the ED, because Amex does allow you to transfer some of your limit to other cards but only when the "donor card" has been open for 13+ months. So, in December, I'm going to ask for the ED to go to 9K, move 3K of that over to the Delta, and thus get all 3 of my cards to 5K+ (which feels like a genuinely useful limit for travel cards) by the end of the year. Then next year will be about seeing how much total exposure my income and profile will support from Amex's perspective (I'm guessing about 25-30K across all 3 cards, we'll see).

  • Need to turn this PLSQL into a procedure

    Hi All,
    I have the following PLSQL which declares a cursor, then loops using the cursor variable. I'm new to creating procedures and packages and i'm having trouble turning this PLSQL into one of those. When i put my PLSQL code in a procedure it doesn't like the DECLARE statement or the CURSOR section. I'm not sure how to tweak it to get the syntax correct for a procedure. Can someone point me in the right direction?
    Here is the PLSQL:
    DECLARE
    /* Output variables to hold the result of the query: */
    groupid assignment_group.id%TYPE;
    /* Cursor declaration: */
    CURSOR Asset_Rank_HistoryCursor IS
    select distinct id from assignment_group;
    BEGIN
    OPEN Asset_Rank_HistoryCursor;
    LOOP
    /* Retrieve each row of the result of the above query into PL/SQL variables: */
    FETCH Asset_Rank_HistoryCursor INTO groupid;
    /* If there are no more rows to fetch, exit the loop: */
    EXIT WHEN Asset_Rank_HistoryCursor%NOTFOUND;
    /* Insert the the new rows */
    insert into ASSET_RANK_GROUPED (asset_id , dt, rank, score, ASSIGNMENT_GROUP_ID)
    select asset_id, max_dt, rownum, score, groupid from (
    SELECT <big nasty select statement>
    END LOOP;
    /* Free cursor used by the query. */
    CLOSE Asset_Rank_HistoryCursor;
    END;
    How do i change my DECLARE and CURSOR statement so the procedure will create. Do i need to break it out into a function?

    I figured it out... just had to play w/ the syntax. Had to make sure the BEGIN statement was AFTER the CURSOR declaration and had to make sure any variables are declared up top, didn't need a DECLARE section in procedure. I just put the groupid variable right after IS at the top of procedure creation statement.

  • Relevance of title field in doc library

    Bit of a debate at work and I'm trying to dig up some hard facts.
    We have been told that the title field in a document library and is pointless and can lead to user confusion between title/filename and basically adds no value. There has been recent talk of hiding the title field altogether from forms.
    My concern is the effect this may have on search results.
    We have our own custom meta data fields so this question doesn't relate to collecting meta data - we are covered there.
    I have hunted down some info and have read comments saying that title is second only to content when it comes to the search algorithm. I've also read other articles that are less specific and just say it is good.
    Is there a definitive answer?
    This is a 2010 question but will also apply for our upgrade to 2013 which will be happening soon.
    1. How does the title field feature when ranking results.
    2. Is there a list/URL that defines all aspects of relevance building?

    Hi ,
    Relevance is about how closely the search results that are returned to the user match what the user wanted to find.
    The formula to calculate relevance uses two areas of ranking called Static and Dynamic ranking.
    Dynamic Ranking (query-dependent ranking) is where the property values or content of an item affects the ranking score. As example the ‘Title’ field can be evaluated against the search criteria and the more important we consider the field
    to be, the higher the ranking score will be for items where the value in the ‘Title’ field have a closer match to the search criteria.
    Static Ranking (query-independent ranking) is where the content or property values of an item do not determine the ranking of the item.
    Dynamic Ranking contains Title Extraction - only performed on Microsoft Office files. In scenarios where the ‘Title’ field of an Office file does not accurately reflect the contents of the item (example when a title of a file is ‘Presentation
    1’ or ‘Document 1’), Enterprise Search detects another candidate for title within the body of the content item, and includes this value with the actual title when calculating relevance.
    More information, please refer to the link:

  • String stemming

    hi everyone,
    i have a program that searches a file for a string. i need to be able to implement functionality to this progam so that it can find like strings. for example when i search for run, i want runner and running to also be displayed as well as run, i have thought about just storing an array of possible stems and searching for them aswell as the original string, however this wont suffice as i need to be able stem strings that aren't always familiar to me. i have included my search method code, i search a file by first reading it into a string and then spliting this string into other strings; title, abstract, body, keyword and index. i am then searching each of these strings for a target string using the indexof(). does anyone have any idea how i will be able to implement string stemming functionality to this?
    public void search() {
            String paf = pathText.getText();
            path = new File(paf);
            target = searchText.getText();
            if (path.isFile()){
                searchfile(paf);
            if (path.isDirectory()){
                //folderlen = path.length();
                processdir(path);
            MouseListener ml = new MouseAdapter() {
               public void mousePressed(MouseEvent e) {
            if ((list.getSelectedIndex() != -1) && (e.getClickCount() == 2))  {
                String selection = (String)list.getSelectedValue();
                display(selection);
                    list.addMouseListener(ml);
        public void processdir(File path) {
            int i;
            File[] theFiles = path.listFiles();
            for (i = 0; i < theFiles.length; i++) {
                if(theFiles.isDirectory()){
    //theFiles = path.listFiles();
    processdir((theFiles[i]));
    if(theFiles[i].isFile()) {
    String pop= theFiles[i].getAbsolutePath();
    //System.out.print(pop+"\n");
    searchfile(pop);
    //list.setListData(files);
    public void searchfile(String pah){
    pqs = new File(pah);
    String co = readFile(pqs);
    ArrayList text = documentSpliter(co);
    int rank = 0;
    String pan = pqs.getName();
    String st= pqs.getPath();
    if (title.indexOf(target)>=0) {
    rank+=10;
    files.add("\nthe string was found in the title");
    boolean intit = true;
    if (abs.indexOf(target)>= 0) {
    rank+=5;
    files.add("\nthe string was found in the abstract");
    boolean inabs = true;
    if (body.indexOf(target)>= 0) {
    rank+=2;
    files.add("\nthe string was found in the body");
    boolean inbod = true;
    if (keyword.indexOf(target)>= 0) {
    rank+=3;
    files.add("\nthe string was found in the keyword");
    boolean inkey = true;
    if (index.indexOf(target)>= 0) {
    rank+=2;
    files.add("\nthe string was found in the index");
    boolean inind = true;
    if (rank==0){
    files.add("\nword not found in file");
    boolean eof = true;
    if((rank!=0)) {
    files.add(pan+" "+"rank score:"+rank);
    files.add("\nthe document "+pan+" has rating:"+rank+"\n\n");
    files.add("\n");
    files.add(st+"\n");
    list.setListData(files);

    I think the only likely approach is to have a table of common word extensions ("-es" "-ing" "-ed" "-ly" and so on). You might extend that to actual rules (e.g. for plural formation) and exceptions.

  • CS6 Canon 5DmkII Footage looks pixelated

    Hi,
    I've recently imported some night time footage using the 5D and when viewed on the timeline it is pixellated and is generally low quality.  Played back in windows media player it is perfectly fine.
    I have searched high and low for a solution to this but can't find anything that will work.  I thought Premiere Pro 6 supported H264??
    Any help would be much appreciated in how to solve the problem.
    Thanks
    System Info

    On a 1600 x 900 monitor the source and program monitors would typically occupy around 25% each of the screen estate, meaning around 400 x 225 for 1920 x 1080 source material. Degradation is expected, especially with on-board graphics from Intel.
    To be honest, it is about your laptop, I expect. It is slower than molasses in winter and may earn the top ranking score in the Benchmark Results, in terms of the highest rank and the highest time, but when looking at results, we tends to consider lower as better, not higher.

  • Google method or algorithm

    Hi guys,
    i would like to know which method or algorithm does Google use to recognise the user input and then match it accordingly.
    Thank you

    Hi,
    I tried Googles description, but its quite confusing
    for a well it-related person.
    So here is my short description:
    Google uses g besides the well-known indexers, straight-forward fast Graph-Algorithms.
    Google searches through the internet and interprets the
    Net as a big Graph (with vertices and edges you know?)
    A Vertice is a web-site or a single displayable object.
    The edges are the Links between them.
    Every vertice has a special ranking score.
    Better sites with the same related keywords, will be found
    through this alg.
    e.G. Remember a good page A with the rank r.
    A better page B on the same topic with the rank q links to
    page A. So the rank of page A is pushed to something like
    that: new Rank r = old Rank r + (CONST*q).
    So know its quite easy to find a "good" site: Get sites
    with the keyword, and sort by ranking.
    The real implementation is a little more complex, so this
    is that you get an idea.

  • Questions on ordering monthly myfico score monitoring

    I'm in a similar situation with mortage scores. So yesterday I signed up with Equifax only because I needed to know my mortage score. It said I had a mortage score of 688. However my lender yesterday afterwards and he said my equifax was 658. So keep in mind the monitoring score may not be the same as your lenders. I'm in the process of closing n my credit report expired on Friday and I can't close til Monday or Tuesday. I hope this helps. I do subscribe to the credit bureaus personal credit monitoring tools that way I can update on a daily basis,call them directly to fix any problems.

    I think im starting to understand this whole credit score scam lol.. Had my lender pull scores back in April, I need to raise about 40 pts across the board so i definetly dont want another hardpull my understanding is if i sign up for the $25 monthly fee to monitor my score its myfico8 score but intially i will also recieve myfico scores that my mortgage lender uses, so will my mortgage scores update monthly also if i sign up for the plan? I have done some wotk oncredit since april so i may have already raised it 40pts ive gotten two pfd collections but still have 3 old medical collection from 2011 very small amoun($300 total with same ca) i have opened a CC and use daily and pay twice a month. but i want my mortgage scores monthly. so if im only getting my mortgages scores intiatally maybe i should wait until ive done a little more repair, or how much does myfico charge if i order my mortgage scores again further down the road a month or two?

  • I paid down a card to zero and my score dropped 18 points

    Hi and welcome! You need to keep balances low (1-9% util) on credit cards and other revolving credit. High outstanding debt can affect a score.  Too much use of credit shows you may need more that you can handle, not good. Not enough use of credit does not demonstrate that you can use credit responsibly, also not good. It is a balance - show you can manage that balance and you will be rewarded. All revolving accounts reporting a 0 balance results in a Fico score decrease. Read up, take it all in, there are many answers in the following post, after that if you need calrification and/or still have questions, ask away! http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Understanding-FICO-Scoring/Credit-Scoring-101-START-HERE/m-p/8169

    WOW!! i did not know that little trick, thats wy, my scores has been so slow in rising up, is becouse i paid in full before the statement cus off,and always reported 0 balance, also recently closed a CC account with zero balance, and my scores dropped a lots points, so from now one i willlet report some small balance Hooray!!! i have learned so much from this forum, and each time i log in i learn somenthingnew and beneficial for my financial life!! thank you all for the greatest financial advices!!! you guys are awesome!!! Yes, ensure that not only you let report 1-9%, but also important, only let ONE of your credit lines report anything at all. No matter how many credit lines you have, only let one report a balance of 1-9%. You can and should rinse and repeat for your other credit lines. One billing cycle let Credit Card A report, next cycle let credit card B report. This is unnecessary and needlessly complicates things as cards seldom all report at the same time. Just pick one card and allow it to be your "reporter". By switching cards each month you can end up with periods between the cards reporting dates where either both are reporting a balance or neither is reporting a balance. That causes your scores to bounce around. So, wait until your statement cuts - when the statement is cut is when the reporting is done to the credit agencies, then before your due date pay in FULL so as not to incur any interest. Then start on your next credit line. Remember, it's not that you never want to pay in full, it's that you do not want to pay in full BEFORE the credit card reports. If you wait past the due date then you will incur interst. Also, note, you can use as many cards as you like with as high balance as you like during the billing cycle as long as when the reporting gets done you only have one line reporting 1-9%. Reporting to the credit agencies is not done daily, just once per billing cycle. If you know when your statement cuts, and you can ask them, then you know when you need to clean things up with your balances before it cuts/reports.
