Wonder if you guys could shed light on an issue on an issue I am currently having. Are you seated comfortably then I shall begin.
Received an email beginning of December last year about exchange being upgraded and since then nothing but problems. Think it could be down to noise level fluctuations. (Unsure as I am not a comms engineer) Last night went to bed and the noise level was 10.8db woke up this morning to a disconnected broadband and the bt hub has the noise level at 1.8db. Also this has started to become twice a day connections and usually my speed drops to half normal. i.e. 8Mb to 4Mb. Now nothing has changed internally over the last 7 years were we have had a very stable 8Mb connection.
Had an engineer come out and test the line and he says everything was fine. The exchange could see the disconnections and moved me over to an E Side and still has not solved the problem. Got another engineer coming out on Tuesday to do another test. Still to do a quiet test (17070) but since an engineer has been out would they have picked that up?
I have an NTE5 master socket and all brand new filters plus BT Hub V3 Running Software version V100R001C01B031SP09_L_B.
The Bt home hub has been connected (24hrs) to the master test socket and the dropouts still happen. Below is an example logs of a disconnection from the hub:

At the bottom the Chinese government trying to attack me at 3.10 in the morning sheesh what have I done to them.

Now from all this can anybody suggest what the real problem is? Or could I be onto something with the noise level. It is a gradual deterioration over time with noticeable changes in web page performance. (although many other factors can affect this)
You maxmum speed is show in red below.
Your downstream target SNR (Noise Margin) is probably set too low for your line. Its normally about 6dB for ADSL max, but your last reading was very low indeed.
I have explained a bit about noise margins here, and there is a suggestion at the end which may help.

I know you have tried the test socket, but were the results that you displayed earlier taken with the home hub plugged into the test socket? If not, could you please provide a set of readings in that position?
Also, do you have any extensions connected to the test socket?

my 5th generation ipod acts like it is going to sync and then "ejects" itself before even 1 song can be synced. Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
Try:

RDP connection over server 2008 R2 standard, if I disconnect and connect the session, which was currently working will not be avialable but a new session starts.
what features should I add and how to configure so that if connection is lost the user should see the same session when they connect back.

Connect the iOS device to your computer and try to make a backup

Then restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Have a 2008/9 iMac on starting up today I have only a white screen, apple icon and a continuous revolving sun. Have tried turning off and on and disconnecting and reconnecting the power with no affect - any thoughts or advice please. Thanks Matt
If your iMac came w/system DVDs, do the following:
Disconnect all devices from the computer then do the following:
Boot up from your DVD that originally came w/the iMac while holding down the "c" key.
Select the language you wish to use, and then choose "Disk Utility" from the menu bar.
Your HD should appear in a panel on the left hand side of the window which opens. Select it and then click on the "repair disk" button in the right hand section of the window.
Once this process has been completed restart your computer and repair permissions directly from Disk Utility.
If Disk Utility is unable to complete the repair, you will need to use a stronger 3rd party utility like DiskWarrior, Techtool PRO (not Deluxe) or Drive Genius. -
I have an extremely long and important email thread that has become unprintable (and in some cases unreadable) because each preceding email in the thread is indented and eventually the text is very far to the right margin and even beyond. Some of the text is even showing up as only 1 letter per line. I tried selecting all and then left justifying it, thinking that that would shift everything to the left, but it didn't work. When I go to print the thread, it shows as 344 pages, which although long, I can't believe it's that long. What do you think happened to cause this and can it be corrected?
Ick. So it can't just work sensibly? Sensible would be either autosave overwrites previously autosaved versions or all autosaved versions would be deleted when the message is finally sent. Allowing previous message versions to accumulate endlessly might be beneficial to someone, but does not seem like sensible default behavior.

Macbook won't start or charge unless I disconnect and reconnect the battery connector each time .
I have a late 2011 model Macbook Pro, 10.7.5 OS and I've had no issues whatsoever up until a week ago. The night before if stopped working I did everything as usual, did some HW, emailing then I shut it down. I woke up the next morning and it wouldn't turn on so I figured it was dead, so I got my charger plugged it in and got no light, green or orange. What I got was a faint green blinking on the charger light and my battery level indicator wasn't working. I thought it was my charger but it wasn't because worked fine on my girlfriend's Macbook.
I googled and tried PRAM and SMC to no avail. When I tried the SMC I didn't take the battery out I just disconnected the connector (Don't know if it makes a difference) and Voila it worked and I thought I fixed the problem. I turned it off and the next day the same thing, I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery connector each time for it work. Other than this issue I have no problems, mac runs fine while it's on and I shut it down or restart it for awhile after I reconnected the battery but if I try to turn it back on or restart it hours after I've done that then it won't work . One thing I may add is after I reconnect and plug my charger in, the light is green for about 5 seconds (even though it's not fully charged) then turns orange .
I'm guessing I need a new battery or logic board , but I'll keep my fingers crossed .
I won't be able to set up an appointment until next week but I would like to see if I could get any help here in in the meanwhile.

The Macbook has worked perfectly and then all of a sudden last week it started to shut down after i would disconnect my Iphone 5.
The mac wouldn't restart, charge or anything.
I tried all the trouble shooting reccommended, Shift Alt command button combinations. ( there were a fair few ) None worked.
Then i found out about disconnecting the connector.
This fixed the problem.
But alas, It done it again after my next sync.
This has done it 4 times now. And only when i disconnect the iphone after using itunes on the mac. I done it all correctly 3 times and the 4th time i just pulled it out with out ejecting from itunes, but still done it.
The iphone Syncs perfectly. I get everything i want onto the iphone. But for some reason as soon as the cord is disconnected from the mac BOOM. Dead mac.
If i leave the cord and the phone plugged in but still eject the phone it doesnt shutdown tho.
I found if i shutdown the macbook, then disconnect the iphone cord once the mac is completely shut down then my mac will start back up again with no problems.
As i said i dont know if this is the cause of your problem and if it will help you or not? But if not, maybe it will help someone else out who finds your post?

iTunes has detected an iPod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes. You may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod.Sounds like your iPod is broken. Take it to Apple or someone else who repairs iPods and see if you can get it fixed, or get it replaced.

1. Why don't you purchase it from Apple? I'd be wary with eBay sellers - and, after all, Apple posts their stuff everywhere, even if you live in a country without a localized Apple store webpage or local (physical) Apple stores.
2. when it comes to adapters / cables like these, NEVER purchase ANYTHING non-Apple-manufactured! Most of the cheap(er) knock-offs don't work! That is, don't try to save on going for a cheaper alternative - it most likely won't work.

You got ripped off. You bought a hacked/jailbroken phone. That's what error 1015 means. Return it and get your money back if possible and buy a phone from a legitimate source.
Discussing jailbroken / hacked phones is forbidden by the terms of service. Jailbreaking / hacking voids any warranty and forfeits your right to support here or from Apple. You can not get help here. -
i can't find isight under the software, also, i tryed to restart and still the camra not working. do you have alink to download isight?
Click on the Apple symbol in the top left of the screen and select About this Mac. Click on More Info and scroll down to the USB entry under hardware. Does it list the 'Built in iSight' in the top right hand pane?
If it does, what happens when you run the Photo Booth application? -

Yes Rosetta has been gone for over two years. You can always search here for how Michael Lax's instructions on how to run SL Server in a virtul environment, but I don't think it is too kind to gamers.
Advice? Buy an old Mac that runs PPC software.

my battery started draining after 4 or 5 hours on iPhone 4 8GB with little or no use. It was suggested in some of the threads I consulted that it might be related to a server malfunction on an email account, and to delete the account, hard boot the phone, and re-install the account, Sure enough, this worked for me. Charged at 100% at 11pm and got up next morning at 6am at 100% ( turned the email push notifications to OFF as well ) The previous 2 days I would get up and there would be less 10% battery life. A few days before this problem started my email provider had a server issue with Outlook, I couldnt get emails to and from that account to load on my iphone, so I suspect that this was the problem; iphone and or email provider was still trying to get those emails and this was causing the drain.

I have an Apple16GB with BT Yahoo home page which had a box for mail and weather and further down I had my local weather, I have touched something and lost these boxes and my home page has changed and I would like to get it back as it was. I have to admit to being useless at computers although I love my I Pad.

Did you have a shortcut to the website on your iPad home screen? If that is what you want to create again, navigate to that website in Safari and then tap the arrow icon next to the address/URL field at the top of the Safari toolbar. Form the window that will pop up, select - Add to Home Screen. That will put an icon on your home screen that will allow you to open directly to that page in Safari when you tap on it.
