How to update/alter (in oracle 9i) sequence automaticaly at some period (for example each day)?
Is it possible to make it in Job?

Is it really sensible to use a sequence for your requirement. Why not just use sysdate instead ?

Daily sequence number

Hi,
I need a clean solution for a daily sequence number (starts from 1 everyday). Clean in the sense that upon initial setup, I do not have to do anything and I can get my number everyday by just one jdbc call/query.

What is the business justification for this requirement? Normally, you should just use a regular non-resetting sequence. If users want to see a "pretty" sequence number, simply generate something for them when you query the data using the row_number, rank, or dense_rank analytic functions. If users want to see sequences reset, they probably also want to see gap-free sequences, which is not something that you can ever guarantee in a scalable system where multiple users are allowed, though you can present gap-free sequences of values at query time.
You can have a job that either drops and recreates the sequence every day or that goes through some logic to reset the sequence to 1 by changing the increment. This gets rather hairy, though, because the job will fail (or fail to run) on occasion and requires that no one be processing data at the time.

Daily OS update prompt causing Battery Pull

Okay, so lately now I am getting prompted daily to update my OS on the Z10 to the same revision all the time, even after I did it yesterday .... so I have done it none the less ... and now each time I attempt the update, it locks the phone up shut off, as in no power is on, and will not restart UNTIL I pull the battery ... then it will restart ...
I am only connecting with LINK to back up the contents to ensure if this Z10 craps out, that I don't loose much ...

Why am I reminded daily to update Adobe Flash Player. Do I need it and why?

I do not know of which use is Adobe Flash Player? I am reminded daily to update to avoid problems with Firefox.
I do not look movies or play games in the internet.
When starting to update Adobe Flash Player, I get afraid by the accompanying questions for private data.
Tell me what happens when I do not update Adobe Flash Player.

It is recommended to update it as the latest version as it includes security updates. A lot of sites use Flash to display their content, it is not just used for movies and games.
You can carry on using your current version of Flash, just be aware that it has published security holes.

You can also check if Flash Player is correctly installed by opening this page http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html and viewing the version displayed. Also, the page contains useful links to trouble shooting.

This is what I did (I already had GG installed and everything configured)

My MBP has daily software updates

My BMP (late 2011, 13", 2.7Ghz) has been updating its software almost daily in the past ~2 weeks. Every morning I start up it takes longer, because the update is installed I assume, and after using it a few hours I get the 'install the update'' message again.
Is it that they are updating so often or is it not installed properly that it tries to do it over and over again?

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

The Daily App Updated...

The Daily started out a little rocky, but since the update today it's now running smooth. If anyone decides to update, your better off deleting the current App, and then download it again from the App store.

it was suggested that the App be deleted first then installed first, but i updated without deleting and the upgrade was was taking forever and seem to update each section at a time. So i stopped the upgrade, deleted the App, and reinstalled it which took a few moments.
My app kept crashing when updating a new issue each morning and sometimes crashing when viewing sections and/or surfing pages. After the new INSTALL this morning, my surfing the new issue was flawless and smooth, watching all the videos was switching pages was errorless.
I could only see this App excelling with additions to its issues.

The Daily- an update mystery

The page in the App Store for The Daily says "PLEASE DELETE YOUR CURRENT APP BEFORE INSTALLING THIS UPDATE."
Does anyone know why this is requested? Or what will happen if you don't do it? (The app installs in any case.)

Why would she have saved it? And why have her searching for it? To prove what, exactly?
All I know is, I did both. Applied the update, immediately saw that I still had the extensive black screen as it was loading, so quit out of and deleted it. After getting a fresh copy, it was clearly and immediately improved.

Hi,
Daily create a Production Order in CO07 w/o Material Master. Here specify the Settlement Object as Order, Cost Center, Material, etc... as per requirement.
Then do Goods Receipt against this Order in MIGO for Coal via 262 Movement Type using Option as Goods Receipt > Others.
Else you can do GR w/o PO in MIGO using movement type 501

Edit Audio in Audition - Have sequence update

I've edited a sequence in Premiere. There are several instances from one footage item on the timeline whose audio I wish to enhance in Audition.
So in the Project Panel, right-click Footage-1, Edit In Audition -> Clip. This extracts the file, work on the Footage-1-Extracted.wav, save in Audition, come back to Premiere.
So here's where I'm confused. Now I've got Footage-1 with it's unedited audio and Footage-1-Extracted.wav. Tell me if this is possible: I'd like Premiere to know that all the instances/references to Footage-1 in my sequence should use Footage-1-Extracted.wav.
Merging seems to create just another clip in the Project panel. Editing a sequence in Audition doesn't make sense to me cause I'm not done editing. Thanks!

The problem here is the work flow. Audition just isn't ready yet for the kind of integration we really need in order for it to be truly usable.
Right now, Audition is a destructive editor, which means all the work you do in Audition overwrites the original file. Because of this paradigm, Audition creates those extracted files. Most NLEs work non-destructively, however, only reading the original files, never overwriting them. What we need is for Audition to change its paradigm and becomes a non-destructive tool, using only metadata and either real-time processing or rendered previews for its work, always leaving the original file unaltered.
Put another way, what we need from Audition is the same kind of integration we now enjoy with SpeedGrade. We need Audition to read the Premiere Pro sequence exactly as it is, without the use of 'extracted' files, and whatever work we do in Audition needs to come back over to PP as effects applied to the original clips, not as new audio files. Further and unlike SpeedGrade, we need full editing ability at the clip and sequence level. We need the ability to move audio clips around, lengthen or shorten them, add new clips, add or delete new audio tracks, add or delete the standard PP transitions, etc. And all those changes need to be reflected in PP once we send the project back.
Only then will Audition be truly useful in the suite. Until then, I recommend skipping any Edit in Audition work. If you need to use Audition, do it separately from PP.

Please stop daily OS update notices.. I updated

I updated the Q10 from .238 to 10.1.0.273 which was the latest via BB10 Link. Now I get a reminder to update every day at 6.04pm. Sure this is a trivial complaint but it should be easy to fix. My carrier is Koodo if that matters.

Remote content bar does not appear for some emails with images specifically daily Twitter updates. Changing options to allow all remote content has no effect

The broken image symbol appears in place of the images but associated web links do work ok.

Sequence auto update

Sorta new to FCP but, love it.
1. I dragged a bunch of sequences full of editing into a new
sequence.
2. Then I make a few changes in the origional added
sequence.
3. Will my sequences that I just added into the main sequence
automatically update?
Im guessing yes and Im away from my computer to actually to do the check.
This would be so cool and yet I wish there was a way to automatically move the chapters since your sequences will grow or shrink.

You've opened Pandora's Box, my friend.
While nested sequences do normally update in your parent sequence without incident, there can be issues with (nested sequences) updating when rendering is involved.
To use an example, if you nested sequence is simply clips (like a compile edit for scene), you should not experience any issues with updating. However, if your nested sequence features any rendered compositing and/or filtering, issues have been known to creep up with nests updating in the parent sequence. Even things have simple as a re-rendered lower third have been known to cause hiccups.
Unfortunately, when this happens is not at all predictable, at least in my experience. And I'm a big fan of nests, I use them all the time.
