Daily syncronizing with Outlook

I just got my ne Pre from Bell. I have owned three generations of Treo's ...loved them.
I run my business using Outlook for my contacts and my calendar. The Palm support person is telling me that you can only do a one-time sync and after that you have to add everything into the Pre manually. I just want to update Outlook and then sync to my Pre.
I have a g ban router so some of the 3rd party softwares will not work.
Can someone confirm the no-daily sync or is there another way to do this................all I want to do is have Outlook sync my changes and over-right my calendar and contacts that are in the Pre.......just the same wasy as the Treo
Any info would help, because if I can't find a solution, it's going back..   (

Hello johnmitchell and welcome to the forums....
The only way I am aware of at this point to sync Outlook with the pre is using Pocketmirror or Companion Link.  You must have a gmail account and the software syncs your outlook with gmail and them Gmail syncs with the Pre.
There may be some other 3rd party software out there to do a direct sync.... But not that I know of...
Thanks,

  • Syncronizing with Outlook

    Hi,
I am thinking of bying a N73 or N80. My outlook 2003 has over 2 500 contacts, many tasks etc.
I would like to know if there is another software than PC Suite for the syncronization.
I would like to sort my contacts by family name or company, both ways. What I know there is only Nokia Communicator which has this ability.
    Please, give me some advice.
    Best regards, Nicke

  • Mac OS syncronizing with cell phone using Window mobile

    Using HP6826 cell phone and no problem syncronizing with outlook under Window XP. Switched to Mac and using entourage. No sure if there is a way to ;
    (1) transfer my outlook file to entourage?
    (2) have entourage syncronizing with the phone (window Mobile based)?

Have a look at The Missing Sync or PocketMac.

  • My Ipad 2 was working fine, after  syncronizing with iTunes the contacts App froze completely, in the Settings everything works, but if you go to the mail settings they the settings freeze. I can't send Emails. I am using outlook, anybody has an answer?

My Ipad 2 was working fine, after syncronizing with iTunes the contacts App froze completely, in the Settings everything works fine but if you go to the mail settings the entitre settings freezes. I am usng Outlook but can't send mails.  Any body has a solution?

    Update to above question:
    Hello All,
To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
So this fix worked for me.
After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.
I hope this works for you on YOUR Apple devices.

  • I use iCal, work wants me to sync with Outlook, how do I do this?

    Dear Community.
I'm happily using iCloud to run my diary across all my Apple devices, how do I get my current setup to sync with Outlook so my office can see my diary?
I don't want to change how I make appt's, I can make an appt on my phone, iPad or MacBook and it'll sync nicely, I just need to be able to share one specific Work diary in my iCloud/ Apple account with Outlook. I use Outlook on my MacBook for email only, I have no interest in using the calendar function other than to keep it synced to allow my colleagues to access it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's bad enough that people want to be able to track my daily schedules, without having to spend hours trying to figure out how to keep the system I have for diary management and not have to move everything just to placate someone.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Crackyrich,
I may have a possible solution for you.  Since you have everything set up in iCloud, have you tried the Calendar sharing feature?  You can create a work calendar to keep it separate from your personal calendar, and share the work calendar privately or publicly.   Here's how:
    iCloud: Calendar sharing overview
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2689
You can share a calendar both publicly and privately with other people. Sharing gives you flexibility in managing calendars. For example, you could create a calendar for your child’s sports team and share it privately with just the coaches so they can edit it. You could also share it publicly with all the parents so they can view (but not change) it whenever they want.
    Sharing works as follows:
Public calendars can be shared with anyone. To access public calendars, visitors need to use Calendar on a Mac, Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer, or any other app that supports the iCalendar file format.
A public calendar can’t be edited by anyone but the calendar owner (the creator).
Private calendars can be shared with other iCloud users.
Participants can view the calendar using iCloud Calendar; the Calendar app on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or a Mac; or Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer.
As the owner (creator) of a shared calendar, you assign edit privileges to the invitees to control who can modify the calendar. There are two types of access privileges that can be assigned:
Participants with View Only access can:
View the calendar and change their view (from day to week, for example), without affecting the view of other participants
    Change their own calendar preferences
Participants with View & Edit access privileges can do everything listed above, plus:
    Create and delete calendar events
Change details (for example, the name, date, and time) for calendar events
Track the responses of guests invited to a calendar event
Participants can’t invite new people to a shared calendar.
Note:    If multiple participants try to edit a shared calendar at the same time, the changes that are saved first are kept and reflected in the calendar. The person whose changes arenʼt saved sees a message that his or her changes werenʼt saved.
If you disable your iCloud account, any shared calendars you created become unavailable; all participants automatically receive an email notifying them that the calendar is no longer shared.

iCloud: Share a calendar with others
You can share a calendar both publicly and privately with other people. For specifics about viewing and editing privileges for shared calendars, and how participants can access the calendars, see Calendar sharing overview.
    Share a calendar privately
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar name in the sidebar, then select Private Calendar.
Note:    You can also share the same calendar publicly. For instructions, see the next task, “Share a calendar publicly.”
Type the invitee’s email address in the Add Person field and press Return.
Click the pop-up menu with the invitee’s name and choose access privileges (View & Edit or View Only).
For each person you want to share the calendar with, repeat steps 2 and 3.
When you’ve invited everyone and set their privileges, click OK.
Invitation emails are sent from your iCloud email address to the participants you specified.
    Share a calendar publicly
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar you want to share, then select Public Calendar.
Note:    You can also share the same calendar privately. For instructions, see the previous task, “Share a calendar privately.”
To invite people to view the calendar, click Email Link.
Type one or more email addresses in the To field, then click Send.
The people you specify automatically receive an invitation email that includes the calendar’s URL. An invitee doesn’t need to be an iCloud user to accept an invitation to view a shared public calendar.
In the sidebar, a shared calendar has a dark Share button.
You can also resend invitations to one or more invited participants at any time.

I  have a problem with the synchronisation of my iPhone and iPad with Outlook 2007 on my 64-bit Windows 7  PC. For several years,
I have had no problems with the synchronisation by cord connection and iTunes between these programmes. However, a few months ago I decided to use Mobile Me. However, there were problems with duplication of calendars and then “rogue events” – which could not be deleted – even if deleted on Outlook and on the iPhone (or both at the same time) – they would just reappear after the next synchronisation.  All other synchronisation areas (eg Contacts, Notes etc) work fine.
I have looked for help through the Apple Support Community and tried many things.  I have repaired my Outlook. I have repaired my .pst file in Windows. I have re-installed the latest version of iTunes on my PC. I have re-installed the firmware on my iPhone. I have tried many permutations on my iPhone. I have closed down all Mobile Me functions on the iPhone. I have spent upwards of 24 hours trying to solve this problem.
What am I left with? Outlook works seamlessly on my PC. My iPhone calendar now has no events from  my calendar, but does not synchronise through iTunes. Nor does it send events initiated on the iPhone to the Outlook. I am at the point of abandoning iPhones and iPads altogether.  I need to have a properly synchronising calendar on my phone.  Do you have any suggestions?

In the control panel goto the "Lenovo - Power Manager" and click the battery tab, there is a maintenance button in there that will let you change the charging profile for your battery.   (from memory, so exact wording may be off)
The lower the numbers you use there, the longer the battery *should* last.    These batteries degrade faster at higher charge levels, however storing them at too low of levels is also not good for them... I've read that 40% is optimal, but just not realistic if you use your computer.

  • Sync Notes with Outlook

Since buying my iPad 2 I have made my daily diary  in Notes and when I sync my iPad with Outlook the notes automatically were copied into Outlook Notes.
Now over the last few weeks this will not happen. Any ideas why?

Not as yet, and the proper answer is for Microsfot to update O2011 for iCloud, they have a statement noting that iCloud is not supported (Mail is) but no timetable for a fix.

  • Sync issues with Outlook

I'm running Outlook on a Windows XP Pro system and syncing with my iPhone 3G S. However, some of my contacts added to my iPhone are not being added to Outlook. I am also syncing Outlook to a database management program called "ACT." Under MobileMe setting are such that "All Contacts" are set to sync with Outlook. Under the ACT sync system, settings are such that data is to be syncronized "both ways." Outlook is the program both other programs sync to, but the problem seems to be with the iPhone to Outlook only, not Outlook to iPhone. Furthermore, some contacts seem to come over fine, so it is only an intermitent problem, but if they don't come over on the first sync, they never come over. Any ideas?

  • Synchronize with outlook

After installing Ovi Suite, i have a question:
Is there a possibility to sychronize with outlook on schedule? My users are connected most of the day, and it would be nice if the (outlook) calendar is updated several times per hour.

Mail is never synchronized with Outlook via usb cable and Desktop Manager.  It's just not possible on a BB.  Unfortunately, sent mails from the device are not syncronized with the mail account through the BIS setup, either.  You would indeed, need BES for this.  Maybe one day, we will get full IMAP function on a BB but riight now we don't have that.

  • ICloud DST Issues With Outlook

When I sync my Outlook Calendar into my iCloud Calendar all recurring events that existed before DST are off by 1 hour in iCloud but correct in Outlook. Any ideas?
So for example I have a recurring event for a daily meeting. This meeting was created in August.
The meeting takes place daily @ 9:30 AM.
Right after the time switch over the weekend (Nov 3) the meeting is now showing up at 8:30 AM instead of 9:30 AM in my iCloud calendar but it is displayed corectly @ 9:30 AM in Outlook.
    Any ideas?

    ok...
From experience, I can tell you the two calendars are both default calendars with iCloud. 'Work in Cloud' probably doesn't contain any of previous inputs because your iphone probably defaults to your regular calendar.
For me, I was able to get a good understanding by looking at the icloud calendar at icloud.com and the outlook calendar side by side. I recommend doing so, and playing around with things so you can figure out how they work.
With Outlook, you are going to have locally stored stuff (like Contacts), and your cloud-stored stuff (like Contacts in Cloud). That is why you are seeing two different sets of data. It looks like you dont have any locally stored contact, which is fine. All of your contacts are in iCloud (or...Contacts in Cloud), which should correlate to your iphone. again, it might be best to just pull up icloud.com, and put it side by side with outlook. it helped me get a good understanding of how it works.

  • TS1347 My iPhone shows appointments a day early when synced with Outlook Calendar...

    Hi,
When I sync my iPhone calendar with Outlook, all the appointments appear a day earlier.
I have looked up earlier discussions on this topic, followed the instructions and have not yet found a resolution.  I have checked all time zones including Outlook, Windows, iPhone time settings and iphone calendar settings and they are all showing the same timezone.
I have read around and some people believe it is because we in New Zealand are in GMT +13hours (at the moment) and the iPhone calendar settings somehow don't cater for this properly.
Either way I have tried all previously suggested solutions and am now wondering if a solution to this had been found by someone, or it has been fixed by Apple.
    Thanks for your help,
    Sue

Tap the rectangle over the 2 lines and make sure it no longer shows up in red. At this point, you should have only the month view, no daily appointments below. Now press on a specific day, and this will either:
    1. Take you into the daily view with the hourly breakdown. If this is the case, tap the three horizontal lines at the top to get the list.
    2. Take you directly to the list view

  • Spamguard not very usable with Outlook

I using Verizon-Yahoo. I have Spamguard turned on. It works fine for the web email client but not with Outlook. Is there a configuration that will cause Outlook 2003 to only pull new messages from the Verizon inbox and not the Spam folder? Outlook pulls all new messages down whether they are in the Inbox or in the Spam folder rendering Spamguard useless. I can set Spamguard to immediately delete spam messages but that prevents me from seeing the few non-spam messages that get filtered as spam. I've used rules in Outlook to filter spam but was looking for a way to not have to download the many 10's of spams that I get daily.
Everything would be solved if I could simply get the messages that are in the Verizon Inbox only.

  • Business Contact Manger with Outlook

Does anyone know if business contact manager outlook can be syncronized with blackberry bold?

    Hi,
You can sync your Blackberry with Outlook 2007 or previous versions of Outlook with Blackberry Desktop Manager.  At this time, there is no support for Outlook 2010, but there will be in a few weeks with an update.  To sync with Outlook 2007, follow the following directions:
To set up Outlook to use with your Blackberry, do the following:
    1.  Install the Blackberry Desktop Manager (found on the CD that came with your BB or it can be downloaded from Blackberry).
    2.  Connect your BB via the USB cable that came with your device.  The drivers should install automatically.
    3.  Run the Blackberry Desktop Program.  It may pop up a message that it is looking for updates, you can cancel that now.  Click Synchronize.
    4.  Configure how you sync your information. On the left side, go to Synchronization.  This brings up the Sync configuration window.  Click Synchronization.   Now another window pops up for you to select what you want to sync.  Myself, I only want to sync Calendar events so I checked the box next to calendar.  If you want to check Contacts you can do that too.  Click Setup.  Select Microsoft Outlook and click Next.  Tell BDM how you want to sync your data, from Outlook to your device, device to Outlook, or  both ways.  Select which user profile (you should have only one called Outlook), Transfer all items, remove past alarms.  Click Next and Finish. Click OK.  Now on the left side of the interface, click Synchronize.
    5.  The checkbox next to Synchronize organizer data should be automatically checked.  Click Synchronize.
    6.  There you go.  You may see some conflicts appear, but don't worry, you can look at the details of each one and decide on a one-on-one basis of what you need to do.

  • ICloud is no longer working with Outlook

today my outlook calendar stopped updating through iCloud.  I opened the iCloud control panel and "contacts" and "calendar" are no longer an option to sync.  My only two options are "photo stream" and "bookmarks"
Also when opening the iCloud control panel a note pops up that says "Repair the iCloud control panel to use iCloud with Outlook"  I've done this 5 times  I've also uninstalled iCloud for PC and reinstalled it twice  Still pops up with the "repair" notice.
    Please help!

Since the 20 September 2012, I have been experiencing the same problem.  This morning, I have been able to add calendar events by logging onto ICLOUD.COM and the updated calendar events are reflecte on my IPHONE and IPAD.
    I am experiencing this problem:
I add a diary event in Microsoft Outlook 2010.  Before the 20 September 2010, this diary event automatically synchronises on my IPAD and IPHONE calendar.  At this point of time, an updated diary event in Outlook 2010 is not reflected in my IPAD and IPHONE Calendar.
When I add a diary event on my IPHONE, the diary event sychronises on my IPAD diary.  However, the diary event does not synchronise on my Outlook PC.
    Can anyone help me out?

  • Update no longer works with Outlook 2002

I recently updated Itunes as suggested by the software and now I can't sync with Outlook 2002. I have no need for 2003 and am wondering if there is any work around so I can continue to sync? It is not a major issue, since I don't use my Ipod to see my calendar or contacts except when I am out of the country, but it is a minor inconvenience, as I have to print out stuff otherwise.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No problems at all for me. I hace 02 docks: Apple 3G Dock and a Altec Lansing Speaker/Dock combination (T-612). Both work 100% ok as they did before the update.
