Daily unwanted emails about how to reset Apple ID though no reset requested

I receive DAILY emails about how to reset my Apple ID password even though I have not requested a password reset. I am beginning to suspect foul play. The email from Apple says I should not worry - someone just probably mis-typed their email address, but, seriously, every day? Any suggestions?

Go to your profile.
Select the Notifications tab clear out anything that shows there.
Go back to your profile
In the Actions box select Preferences
Select the Email Notifications Preferences tab
Set the values as you like
Go back to your profile
In the Actions box select Manage Email Notifications
delete any that show
that should do it

If you don't have a rescue email address then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

How do I reset Apple ID if the reset is broken?

I have been locked out of iCloud and my primary Apple ID (my former MobileMe account). I can't get my email, and I can't reset my password. When I go to reset my password at iforget.apple.com, it doesn't email the reset instructions to my backup email address (my ancient Gmail address). When I try to enter my birthdate to reset the password, it rejects it as an incorrect date.
When I try to contact Apple support, they refuse to help me without purchasing support because they ask for a serial number on a product with a current warranty. iCloud has no serial number! The iCloud service itself is broken (or has shut me out, or has fubared my birthdate), not any of my Apple devices. This is incredibly frustrating.
Basically, I'm now without access to email or any of my iCloud documents until I either shell out money for service, or Apple comes to its senses and helps this long-time customer.
(Writing this from my secondary Apple ID, the one from which I make purchases, since there was no way to combine it with my old MobileMe account.)

Thanks! I used MobileMe support instead and got an immediate chat line to someone who helped me fix the problem. Somehow my birthdate was off by a day and my backup email is already associated with my legacy Apple ID (that all my purchases are associated with). This is the trouble with not being able to merge a legacy Apple ID with a legacy MobileMe account after the iCloud transition!
The irony is, I'd be happy continue paying for iCloud the way I paid for MobileMe if there was a direct line to help! But putting AppleCare on any of my 6 Apple devices that are already covered by purchase protection just isn't worth it.

When I send or receive an email the date, to, from and subject line are fine but after that there is all of this encrypted information that is listed. I do not know what this information is called, how this information started showing up, I do not want it to be there and I do not want it to print every time I print an email. It takes up a whole page and it is longer than the actual email I am receiving or sending?

About how much might Apple charge me?

So my iPod is definely stuck in recovery mode. I have tried numerous things (TinyUmbrella, RecBoot, iTunes update, DFU mode, updated .ipaw files) but my iPod still shows the connect to iTunes symbol! I finally decided that I cannot fix it so I made an appointment with the Genius Bar. I was just wondering if anyone has an estimated price for how much I may be charged for this.

Am I correct in saying that TinyUmbrella is a jailbreak? If so, then you're out of luck, Apple will not help you and it's against Apple's Terms of Use for us to help too.

Is it just letting you know how to reset you password or saying it's trying to be reset?
If it's just letting you know how to I wouldn't worry, but if it says it's trying to then call apple and you'll have to talk to account security.

The instructions are on the page that you posted from. If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then using steps 1 to 5 on that page will give you a link to send reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

This is compounded actually by a Gmail issue. I have had this email address for ages, since the start of the beta. But lately in the last year or so, I am getting mail that seems to be intended for other people but it is using my email address. It is probably one of them who created the Apple ID.
