Damaged screen can't see very well

I am not sure what happened to my mac book screen but one day it was fine and the next day i open it up and it looks like a hole was in the screen but it was just black pixels i guess. Anyways it has progressed to the point where its all over the place and its hard to see. I was hoping my warrenty would cover it but im not sure if it was cracked or if this is just a malfunction.

The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox.

The left part of the screen doesn't work very well. It's hard to erase a letter, and impossible to me to insert the "P".
Does it means that I need to replace the screen? Or there is a other solution?

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.
If you've gone through ALL the troubleshooting steps and you're still having the problem, then you most likely have a hardware issue and will need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.

In which screen can I see profit centre MARD - PRCTL

Hi experts,
In the material master screen where can I see the MARD-PRCTL field. I am not able to find it.
Any suggestion would help. Assure of points.

I got this update from early forum post:
The MARC table holds the Plant Data for Material in the material master.
The MARD table holds the Storage Location Data for Material.
The MARD table is populated when the stock level of the material is updated.
So, the subsequent fields of the table including PRCTL (Profit center) gets populated when the corresponding transactions for updating the material stocks are executed.
How do I update the stock level of the material? Goods movement?

Black screen, can vaguely see image

About 2 years ago applecare replaced my lcd screen (actually the neck and everything)
I can't BELIEVE the inverter is gone....
is there some other thing it could be?
I booted from an external hard drive last night, ran disc utility ,
rebooted back to main drive. The computer was fine.
I woke up this morning....black screen!

So this morning was that booting from the internal drive?
If not that could be like #2 below.
This is from the Service Manual:
"Screen is dark, fan is running and the hard drive is spinning. You may hear the startup chime as well.
1. Reset parameter RAM. Press Command-Option-P-R during startup before “Welcome to Macintosh” appears.
2. The system software could be damaged. Start up from the system CD that came with the computer.
3. Remove the user access panel on the bottom of the computer. With the unit powered on, check if a red LED is visible in the access door. If the red LED is on, power is on. If you don’t see the LED glowing red, follow the steps under the symptom “No Power”.
4. Disconnect the A/C power cord. Place the unit in the service stand and remove the user access plate.
Press the PMU reset button on the logic board. Refer to “Resetting the PMU on the Logic Board” mentioned earlier in this chapter.
5. Check for external video. Connect an external monitor to the mini-VGA port. If you don’t have external video, replace the main logic board. If you do have external video, go on to the next step.
6. Open the bottom housing and verify that all the cables are securely attached. Pay special attention to the video cable (located near the modem). If the cables are securely attached, go on to the next step.
Warning: Whenever the bottom housing is opened for service, you must do two things:
• You must clean the original thermal film from the surfaces joining the thermal interface layer and
reapply thermal paste to the thermal pipe.
• The bottom housing has four torx screws that must be tightened to at least 17 in.-lbs. If you do not
have a torque driver, you will have to make sure these screws are tightened by hand FIRMLY, BUT
NOT FORCIBLY. Or, purchase the service tool (076-0899) in order to ensure the thermal pipe is
firmly mated with the top base. If the bottom housing is not securely attached to the base in this
fashion, the CPU may overheat and become damaged.
7. Check the connection of the video cable to the LCD flat panel display (under black tape).
8. Replace the inverter board.
9. Replace the LCD display. Important: If you are replacing the display, be sure to install the new display
shield and EMI gaskets that come with the new LCD panel. Installation instructions are included with
the new display panel. Additional display shields/gasket kits are also available separately as a kit, part
#076-0958.
10. Replace the neck assembly
11. Replace the logic board.
12. Replace the power supply board."
So my money is on the PMU, inverter cable, inverter board or that connection on the back of the display.

Nokia 6300 Broken Screen (can't see a thing) help ...

Hi guys.
I've got a Nokia 6300 and the screen broke the other day and I'm unable to see a thing. I can still use the phone though (blindly of course)
I'd like to transfer my numbers from my phone to my sim and to be able to do this without being to see.
So if someone could help me with shortcuts? I think I can press the menu key, then some numbers (am i right?) rather than up down etc etc.
Any help would be really really appreciated as i'm stuffed without a phone at the moment!

once in main menu, i cant just go to any sub menu by pressing a number key, i have to use directional pad to go to CONTACTS, in there, press UP, (go to the last selection)it's COPY CONTACTS, an other UP, it's MOVE CONTACTS,
choose either one, once in, you have two option, first: FROM PHONE TO SIM, 2nd: FROM SIM TO PHONE, if u select the first one, it asks : move contacts? press center to answer YES, and wait, it may takes a while, i did with 60 contacts, in about 20 seconds.
by default, in grid mode, the upper center icon is the contacts.

Nothing...blank screen & can't see it in My Computer or iTunes

Bought my 4gb nano in March. I really haven't used it much, but before now it worked, at least. First the folder icon appeared, then it just went away. I left it on to charge, everything seemed fine. When I went back...NOTHING. Screen is blank, and it isn't showing up either in iTunes or My Computer. I restarted my PC, etc. (other R's - tried the ones that were possible, considering it's not doing anything) Same computer, same setup as when it was working fine, now nothing. Can anyone help with this?

Since you were having folder exclamation point problems beforehand, check out these links:

Check out this article from the Knowlege Base:
iPod missing in Windows or in iTunes.
Also your issue may be that your iPod needs to be sufficiently refreshed into disk mode.
Disconnect your iPod from computer, reset your iPod, then put it into disk mode.

Hi Diane,
If you're using Internet Explorer, try the following.
Open an Internet Explorer window.
Hold down the alt key and press x, then select Internet Options.
Select the Advanced tab, enter a tick in the box next to 'Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering', then click Apply and Ok to save this change.
Close all open Internet Explorer windows, then open it again and try playing a video.

Not sure what the origin of the problem is, but you should try deleting iDVD's preference files.
First, close iDVD and go to your Home(YourUserName)/Library/Preferences/com.apple.idvd.plist
Drag this plist file to the trash. iDVD will automatically create a new fresh one when you reopen it.
Open iDVD.
See if the main screen is now visible.
Post back if that did not help.

I bought my iPhone5 on Wed, now on Sunday it no longer works (black screen, can't see any indication it is recharging). I had a iPhone 4 for over a year, so I know how to turn it on and it worked yesterday. Could it have been deactivated?

You have to do it app wise, which means that the icon won't show up in settings, but you will be able to move files from your local drive to iCloud via the Numbers app (move... > choose the iCloud option).
It requires that you set up the same iCloud account on all your devices and that you have the latest version of Numbers on all your devices as well.

In my firefor options window I have two zipped folders one allows me to brows and see what is inside the other does not give me this option. how can I see what is inside please?

I have had MyWebSearch install itself as my primary browser....I have needed to reset Firefox in safe mode but I am not sure that the changes have actually been done! In Options in the Options menu the window displays all the add on's and features that are on Firefox....I have two zipped folders here One allows me to see inside the other does not. How do I access this one that does not give me the option to as I want to know what is inside...as this "MyWebSearch has been an enormous hassle...and needless to say has compromised my PC and the security of all of my passwords.....I want to be sure that the resetting the browser default has actually worked and that MyWebSearch is gone!

Are you talking about MyWebSearch toolbar (http://help.mywebsearch.com/sbar2.html#q1) which offers apps such as Smiley Central, Cursor Mania???

My iPhone 4 screen is very very dim. Features work but I can't see the screen well enough for it to be useful.

My iPhone 4 has a very dim screen. I can barely see the icons and the phone responds to touch. The phone is pretty useless other that as a phone to receive calls.

Go into Settings >Brightness and turn 'Auto-Brightness' Off, then move the Slider all the way to the right to give you maximum Brightness. Does this make a difference?

My iPhone is saying its taking up 10g of photos and I only have 154 pictures. Also when I got my screen fixed I had 2,000 and when I got it back I had 0 but my wallpapers remained.. Very strange. It's as if my phone still has the pictures but I can't see

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.
