Dark Knight Sync

I bought the Dark Knight DVD that came with a digital copy and down loaded it into iTunes. But when I sync my 5th gen iPod the movie almost finishes transfering and errors out. Is it only compatable with the iPhone and touch? I found out the first time I rented a movie that they won't play on a 5th gen iPod. I had to download it on my daughters iPhone to watch it. I havn't had a chance to try loading the Dark Knight on her iPhone yet. When I bought the Family guy's Blue Harvest on DVD and downloaded the digital copy it transfered to my iPod with no problems. So does any one else had any problems transfering the Dark Knight?

Never mind I just bought a iPhone and it sync's to it just fine.

Try deleting iTunes from your computer. Do not delete your iTunes library. Then download and install a fresh copy if iTunes. Reboot your computer after installation of iTunes.
Then reboot your phone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
Reconnect the phone to your computer running iTunes and see if the sync process will go through.

Cant sync the dark knight

i bought the dark knight on bluray which came with the digital copy. i used the digital copy and got it from itunes but now i cant get it to sync on my iphone. it says the dark knight can not be synced to this iphone.

Dark Knight Digital Copy doesn't run on iPod 5G

I recently purchased the Blu-Ray version of the Dark Knight (fantastic by the way), and thought that it would be great to be able to watch it on the go on my ipod. The 2-disc (well, really 3-disc including the digital copy) included a CD called Digital Copy. I put it into my Mac. I opened iTunes, clicked "Dark Knight" in the Devices list, and I entered my Redeem code.
After around 5 minutes, the movie downloaded successfully, and I was able to play it on my computer. I noticed that the resolution was 853x480, but I still synced it to my iPod.
I ejected my iPod, then on my iPod, went to Video->Movies->Dark Knight. After a few seconds, a loading screen comes up (a spinning object, really) and then it takes me back to my Movies menu.
How can I get my iPod to play the movie? If resolution is indeed the issue, how can I scale the video down to playable size? What IS a suitable resolution??

The Digital Copy of Dark Knight is encoded and provided via a proprietary player. The resulting file that you downloaded from their site is NOT iTune or Quicktime compatible. It won't play in Quicktime Player, in iTunes nor will you be able to sync it to an iPod.
Nor can you convert the resulting file to a Quicktime or iTune compatible file (.mp4). Warner Bros has evidently taken great pains to keep this digital movie file within a encrypted format.
(I am writing this from experience. I too thought I could download and view the Dark Knight Digital Copy on my iPod. Once I read the fine print, I didn't even bother to download it.)

Digital Copy, The Dark Knight

I bought the dark knight on bluray which came with a digital copy but it won't sync to my ipod even tho I downloaded it via itunes. It says unable to copy to ipod cause format is not supported by ipod. I have ipod nano 3rd gen and never had this problem before.

I had the same problem with mine and I copied the Dark Knight file from iTunes to my desktop, deleted it from iTunes and then put it back in and it copied fine.

3G iPhone + Dark Knight Digital Copy

I bought the Dark Knight two disc edition and extracted the Digital Copy into my iTunes Library. I've tried to sync it to my iPhone, but it doesn't seem to want to... I've added it to a playlist as well as checked the box for it in the Video tab. Does anybody know if Warner Bros excluded the iPhone from Digital Copy playback? Maybe I'm missing a step?

I have the original iPhone and was able to transfer my digital copy of the Dark Knight to my iTunes Library and then sync it to my iPhone. It did take up a lot of memory as the film is 2hours and 32 minutes long. I suggest you try playing (a bit)it in iTunes first then trying to sync it again, as suggested.

Dark Knight Digital Copy - Transfers but doesnt play

Got my blu ray copy of Dark Knight and it came with a iTunes compatible digital copy.
Used my code and synced to my iPod Nano. It shows up on the iPod but it doesnt play at all. On iTunes it plays without any sound or picture though......

as other movies play fine), and Fox/Universal/Marvel just don't care as it's not happening to everyone. Best guess is it's a compatibility issue between certain systems/software. Yeah, I know, that's real helpful. I tried reloading latest iTunes/Quicktime/system updates & the movies - no effect. Tried erasing the "AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext" as suggested in another thread - no effect.
Stuck now with a lot of motivation to pirate stuff rather than paying only to get nothing.

The Dark Knight Not moving to iPod

When I bought(not rented) The Dark Knight, the movie, I tried to sync it with my iPod touch(2nd gen), but it didn't work.I have a Windows vista, latest itunes, iPod touch,latest software, definetly enough space. Although it gets to a certain point every time, and just stops, usually freezes my computer if I try to do anything else. I know it doesn't work because I left it over night, and it was in the exact same spot.

Dark Knight on iPhone [Potential Problems ?]

Hey everybody..
So as many of us know.. the Dark Knight was released today on dvd, blu ray , and iTunes ..
I Bought the movie around 2:00 am in the morning ..
So it syncs fine with iPhone blah blah ..
When it gets to some of the darker scenes, the picture begins to distort ..
Like i'll start to see small boxes form in the really dark areas..
Never had any problem with any movie bought through iTunes, but this is kind of annoying..
Anyone else noticed this or experienced this ?

Dark Knight won't Download

I purchased the Dark Knight with the digital copy. It started out okay, I entered in the code but then itunes said I wasn't it connected to the store. I tried a couple with no success when it said the code doesn't work anymore. It shows up in my purchase history but it never dowloaded, it wont let me report a problem and I can't find a e-mail adress to complain. Any help figuring out an answer to my problem would be gratefully appreciated.

Does the Adobe Download Manager indicate that the download is complete? Do you receive any errors when trying to open the DMG? Have you checked to see if the disk image has mounted? Are you able to see your hard drive listed on your desktop? Finally have you tried checking the sidebar in your Finder window to see if the disk image is listed as mounted there?

I have the same problem, it won't work, it gets completed and then gives me an error message saying I don't have a network connection or something dumb, I wish it would work...tried multiple times and it doesn't work.

Dark Knight digital download NOT in DD 5.1, only stereo?

Wasn't sure where else to post this, but my Bluray copy of the Dark Knight included a digital copy of the movie. I downloaded it through iTunes, expecting it to be in 5.1 surround sound for my AppleTV2, but it is just stereo. Other digital downloads are in 5.1, like Black Swan and Inception.
Have others noticed this?
Does one have to BUY the movie through iTunes to get the 5.1 surround sound?

The file will have two audio tracks, a stereo one and an AC3 one, the tv will only play the stereo one but will pass the AC3 audio to anything capable of playing it through either HDMI or optical output. If you aren't getting 5.1, either your equipment doesn't support it or you have it connected improperly.
If the file simply has 6 channel AAC then you will need equipment that will play that, most receivers won't play 6 channel AAC, so you may only hear stereo if this is the case.
