DART for archived PI (XI) data?

We have archived tons of PI7.0 messages.
I wonder if there is the DART to view the archived messages.
However, there is no DART related  txns such as ftw0, etc.
So can we use DART in PI7.0?  If so, how?
Pints guaranteed.   Thanks!

PI have its own archiving and deletion option. DART is not used in PI.

  • Extractors for Archive files & online data

    Hi experts,
I have requirements to develop extractors to extract both ADK files and online data for MM and PS. Online PS data were extracted previously through generic extractors with FM (F2) and MM with generic extrator with View
I identified the table MSEG, MKPF for MM and MSEG for PS were the data need to be pull from. The ADK files reside in a file system and are accessible through PBS index.
1- Could you pl guide me through a strategy how to proceed?
2- Is possible to develop a generic datasource with function module that with be able to fetch ADK files & online data for PS
3- For MM, I am thinking at 2LIS_03_BF since I am extracting MM: Material movements
Since that extractor is delta capable but I am looking for full upload, could you pl provide steps how to work around that if possible?
    Thanks.

    Thanks for replying,
I have already reviewed that document, it is not helpful in my case since I can retrieve archive data using PBS index. I think that I have to develop a FM extractor capable to fetch online and archive data for appl. comp. PS.
Several fileds need to be accessed on tables MSEG, AFKO, AFVC, EBAN, ESLL, ESLH, t430...
I already have a FM module capable to fetch online data... I need to modify it so that it would fetch online and archive data...
I am looking here for the logic ... could you please experts paste a template code capable to fullfill that requirement or sent it under (blaise.pascal(at)ymail.com) I will really appreciate.

  • Tables for archived sales order data

    Hi,
ABAP Gurus would like to know in which tables will I be able to see data of archived sales orders (it is not VBAK)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mick

    Hi,
If I am understanding correctly, your system has data archiving implemented.
If that's the case then there is no table which will store archived sales order.
For that you need to go to T.Code SARA.
    Choose object name SD_VBAK.
    Click on READ.
This will show a screen giving a name of program and option to execute in background or foreground.
This is how you can retrieve the info about archived Sales Order.
    Hope this helps

  • Procedure for Archive the data

    Hello Experts,
I need to write a procedure for clean up the data base. Below is my rek.
User should be provided with options of entering the table name and also should be given option to select whether he wants to delete all the data or archive the table.
--> Program should provide the list of tables that are related to the table name that was given by the user. (This is not required if the table is stagging table, as they don't have constraints associated with them)
--> If user wants to archive then the data in the tables and its related table should be archived (exported) into a flat file and then delete the data from each table in a sequence. Else, we need to delete the data without archiving.
Can you Please let me know the procedure for the above rek and also I am not sure about the archiving the data. If you don't know the table name and the columns. so How can you define a cursor record to handle the record.

  • How to get the functionality of  FM 'RV_PRICE_PRINT_ITEM' for archived data

    Hi All,
I am trying to print archived billing data using archiving object SD_VBRK. I am able to print all the related information except the pricing.
Apart from reading all the tables archived under the archiving object SD_VBRK,  I also need to use the function module 'RV_PRICE_PRINT_ITEM' to print the pricing related information on the SAP form.
However this function module reads the data from standard tables KONV etc., which are archived. Due to this I can not use this function module for printing the pricing related information for archived billing document.
However I need to incorporate similar functionality for the archived data.
Can anyone help me in replacing the FM 'RV_PRICE_PRINT_ITEM' for the archived data.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Santhoshi

Please use this FM to read information from the Archived mode '/PBS/RV_PRICE_PRINT_ITEM'
    Thanks,
    Ranjith.

  • New report for Archiving data

    Hi to all,
Can anybody kindly tell me how to solve the following:
Due to the huge volume of records in the table ZMES_SEQ_DETAIL it required to archive the data based on the Date on which the record was created, which is 18 months older in the table ZMES_SEQ_DETAIL.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
SAP provides standard archive objects for standard tables. There is no archive object available to archive custom tables data (Z/Y tables). The option you have is to develop a custom archive object and related programs to archive data from the Z table.
Checkout the following <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/2a/fa042d493111d182b70000e829fbfe/content.htm">link</a> for more details on developing archiving solutions.

  • Date range for archive process for infotype

    Hello All,
My User wants to remove  employee information in info type for terminated employees, so we decided to go for archive process but basis team is asking for date range.
Can anyone suggest me how to give date range, even to provide to-date unable to get any points.
    Regards
    Ananthi.M

    Hello Kenneth,
As you aware, we cannot delete info types Basic pay, Garnishment document  likewise there are around 15 info types which I am unable to delete due to time constraints etc.., for this process also the SM35 batch session is the better way.
User wants to remove from table level ,the information is not required and no one should see the information.

  • Repository A2 is already used for document area DATAARCH (Data Archiving].

Repository A2 is already used for document area DATAARCH (Data Archiving].

Jürgen - your answer was very helpful and I'm sure I'm now in the right direction!
However I still have an issue:
When the write job is finished and before deleting and storage, the archive file is not accessible - and then I am not able to continue with deletion and storage.
    An example:
    Filename: RMM_EKKO11180104855_CLL
    Logical path: ARCHIVE_GLOBAL_PATH_WITH_ARCHIVE_LINK
    Physical file name: E:SAPContRepZ5RMM_EKKO11180104855_CLL
E:SAPContRepZ5 is the root of the content repository and should according to the documentation contain the file during the delete phase and until final storage in the repository. But there is no file there.
In the log of the write job there are the following entries:
    Job started
Step 001 started (program RM06EW70, variant Z_DEMO_7, user ID CLL)
    Reading purchasing documents
Archiving session 000913 is being created
    Path:
Name for new archive file: RMM_EKKO11180104855_CLL
1 of 1 purchasing documents processed
    Job finished
I am a little concern about that no path is written to the job log - could maybe mean something.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Claus.

  • Oracle Streams for Archiving Data

We are considering using Oracle Streams for Archiving the Data that is older than six months, is this the right option? Has anybody done archiving with Oracle Streams? or would you recommend any other option?
Edited by: vs**** on Feb 8, 2011 2:58 AM

    The tasks are
    1. Oracle checks everyday at a scheduled time in the required tables for "created_date" of records is 180 days old i.e (sysdate - created_date > 180).
    2. The results matching the criteria should then be sent to the Archive database or created as Files

  • Backing up original DV tape data for archival purposes

I have >50 hours of unedited family video on original source DV tapes. I want to duplicate the data on the tapes so if the original tape is lost or corrupted, I'll have a backup. I've been looking at options that have a shelf-life on the order of decades for archival purposes.
Someday I may be able to afford a Blu-ray disc burner and (Delkin) gold archival BD-R discs, but while I wait for prices to drop the most economical way seems to make duplicate DV tapes.
    I have two questions:
Question 1: Is there a way to make a duplicate DV tape using FCE and a single DV camera (e.g. print to tape) or dubbing using two cameras without using FCE? If so, how, and which way is best?
Question 2: The original DV tapes contain data that indicates the date and time the video was originally shot. Is it possible to preserve this date/time data when making a backup DV tape?
    Thanks for your help.
Footnote --> For other people looking for ways to archive their video data, gold archival CD-R and DVD-R discs are available (e.g. MAM-A or Delkin) but their capacity is rather small and IMHO would require an inconveniently large number of them to store many hours of original video data. Blu-ray is still rather pricey and Delkin seems to be the only manufacturer of archival gold BD-R discs so far (BTW, they advertise 200-year life span; I've seen no details of their testing process for BD-R media). I've also investigated the longevity of data on hard disks and hard disks are unsuitable for safely archiving data for tens of years or longer. Magneto-optical discs are reliable but this format seems to have fallen out of favor. While magnetic tape is susceptible to EMI and other environmental risks, it is very economical.

It's easiest to dub between two DV cameras. Get a 4-pin to 4-pin FireWire cable and connect the two.
You have to test the second. It's dependent on the device. Most likely not. BTW, that information is not preserved in FCE.
