Dart Motif Ad Kit

Wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem before.
When I have the Motif Ad Kit panel up in the authoring environment,
I have problems entering anything in the x, y, h, w fields in the
property panel and the transform panel. The problem seemed to go
away when I closed the panel but I just wanted to put out feelers
to see if it was just me or my setup.

Thanks for the links. I've downloaded everything I can from
DART, and I built my ad. Problem: when the .swf is uploaded to the
live website, it doesn't work properly. The entire ad is viewable
(even though there is no content in the part that's supposed to be
expandable). When you click on it, it does show the expandable
portion, however the entire time, the Collapsed portion is off the
side of the page. I'm not sure how to correct this problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have been tasked with creating expandable ads for my
company. We will be using Motif to track the data for us.
Here are some examples of the type of ads we want to build:

My problem is that I cannot open the tutorial files to learn
how to make these kinds of banners.
I can open the tutorial files in Flash CS3, but I cannot view
    the Motif Ad Kit Panel.
On the other hand, I can open the panel in Flash MX 2004, but
cannot open the tutorial files here. I even had someone at
DoubleClick save the files for me as Flash MX 2004. They still do
    not work.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to learn how to build
    these types of banners?
Here is where I have downloaded Ad Kit 3.0 as well as the
    tutorials.
    http://www.dartmotif.com/downloads/downloads.asp?login=req

Well, when I used the Motif AdKit and supplied the files to
Dart, they disassembled the files anyway and reassembled them so I
think you can create your expandable ad yourself and ask them to do
the functionality. The problem is that I believe there is a charge
for it, depending on who the end client is. If Dart is making a lot
of money off of the client, I believe they will waive the fee.
Pointroll is easy to sign up with. The best thing to do is
get in touch with their support team and ask them the questions you
have about setting up a file and if they can support Dart or not. I
seem to recall that they do but, of course, Dart is their
competitor so Dart may say that they are not compatible. Both
companies make their software free to the designer. It's the
company who is doing the advertising who pays.
    Good luck!

  • Do you use Dart Motiff for your flash ads?

I'm looking to make some swf ads for my website. Specifically
some .swf that has a transparent background, hovers over my
existing text and then closes by itself or gives the user the
option of closing the ad before it finishes playing.
I've searched and searched and have been unable to find any
instructions that are basic for me to understand. However, I did
    find
    http://www.dartmotif.com/ that
offers a "Motif Ad Kit" for flash. I tried it out and it is
excellent and exactly what I'm looking for.
However, how do I get it to work on my site? It saves the
completed file in a *.mtf format which obviously won't work on a
site. I tried saving the completed work as a .swf and putting it
into my site like that (both as a new layer and as normal) and that
    is not working.
My question... Is there a way of using this Ad Kit for my own
site or do I have to have an account with Motif. The way it appears
is I have to have an account with Motif, save my *.mtf file and
download to them and then they give me the tag for my site.
If someone knows let me know. (Yes I left an email with
motif, however it is the weekend and I'm hoping to find out today).
    Thanks.
By the way I suggest going to their site
    http://www.dartmotif.com/ -
they have some excellent flash presentations if your looking for
    ideas.

Trust me Jared, these things are extremely simple. I mean
    damn, way extremely.
You don't need 3rd party tools for it. Not to mention that
    their ideas are not
fresh. Peal corner personally did and use commercially more
    than 5 years ago.

Forget that junk. Tell us which one you have in mind and we
    can help you get it
done. Before that tho, please clarify roughly what is your
    flash skill like.
Don't want to overwhelm with jargon if you very new nor waste
    your time explain
basics while you got them covered.

  • OFM 11.1.2 installation issue on HP-UX 11.31

Hello all. Been trying to install OFM 11.1.2 on HP-UX for a few hours, but I am facing a problem at the linking phase of the installation. It throws an exception which reads "Error invoking target 'frmweb_install_frmcmp_install frmcmpb_install frmctrl_install' of makefile ...". When I got to the make.log file, it shows this:
ld: Can't find library for -lXm
    Fatal error.
    *** Error exit code 1
    stop.
I have been through notes, 180445.1, 169177.1, 151547.1, et'all which they all recommend creating soft links to the latest Motif/X11/etc libraries, which I have already done, but the problem still persist. Also, at the prerequisites phase, on the first screen, it complains that I am missing some system packages, named B3394BA 2.1.0, which is Motif Development Kit. Strange thing is, that this is HP-UX 11.31 with the base quality pack bundle of March of 2010 and this kit is for versions pre-v3 (11.31), it is not even avaliable for this version. So, does any of you have any idea why the installation is complaining about this issue and any guideline on how to correct it ? Should I open a tar ?
I am willing to provide any kind of info for anyone who request it in order to help me out on this.
    Thanks for any help!

  • Desk Top Author, and ad success?

I have been looking over some software from
    http://desktopauthor.com/ ,
specifically the desk top communicator. The file type allows
multimedia to be installed/linked to, and viewed and also to with
the desktop communicator software update every copy of the file in
    circulation.
Now I know people are using flash to display ads but my
question is, how complex can the ad set up be with flash? For
example I need something set up were the system rotates through a
series of ads in a mysql database, and when no ads are available
displays for example adsense ads. Any insight into the possibility
of the above with flash would be great, as I would like to know it
is capable of what I need before picking it up.
    Regards, Seth

It depends on where the ad is being served. If you are in
control of the site, you could certainly do what you are
describing. You could also do it if the ad is served elsewhere but
you may need to look into using Pointroll, Eyeblaster, Dart Motif,
    etc.

  • SUNWi1cs, SUNWi15cs are missing in oracle solaris for VM

    Hello,
i'm installing oracle 10r2 on Solaris10_8-11 for testing purposes. i have download Solaris from VM section of oracle
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/solaris10/solaris-vm-405695.html.
Two package are missing both are required for oracle installation. i got following error
ERROR: information for "SUNWi1cs" was not found
ERROR: information for "SUNWi15cs" was not found
when i google this issue i got a OTN thread which deal almost same problem and purposed solution was to download cd1 which contain both pkgs. Now my questions are
would i need to download compete dvd for just two pkgs? (SIZE 3GB)
is there any link to download CD1 only
    or any other work around?

    thanks for reply,
i'm confuse why oracle did not add theses pkg in vm solution. The purpose of this VM machine to make life easy for those guys who don't have sound experience on solaris box (like me) or they have no concern with OS installations. it mean, if i wanted to install oracle on solaris using VM machine then i have to download both file separately which is equal to 7GB (too large) plz let me know if there is any way to downlaod cd1 instead of full dvd?

  • Internal Zone Configuration

After installing a zone for the first time on a baseline system, I run the 'zlogin -C my-zone' command. I get the typical '[Connected to zone 'my-zone' console]' response, but when I boot the zone using the 'zoneadm -z my-zone boot' command, I do not get the system config questions such as Language, Hostname, Nameservers, etc. I am able to login as root without a password. I tried configuring and installing the same exact zone on a full system install, and I do get the questions on first boot.
What packages are needed to have the questions appear on first boot? The baseline system I'm having problems with is a default CORE install with the following additions:
    Core software for resource pools
CPU Performance Counter driver and utilities
    Freeware Compression Utilities
    GNU Bourne-Again shell (bash)

  • Extension for Motif Flash Ad Kit will not install

I followed the directions given on this page:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/rich_media_ads/articles/flash_ad_kit03.html
I downloaded the extension from Doubleclick. I installed the
extension successfully. The templates are not available in the
Flash UI. What did I do wrong? See this screenshot -
    http://plutonomy.org/no_motif_install.jpg
    - It shows the Flash UI, my Configuration folder with the Motif
components installed, the Extension Manager with Flash Ad Kit
installed. But no way to use the templates... Very confused.

I'd like to add that there are several errors with this
Double-click extension. It would not install on a Windows XP
machine with CS3, stating "This extension requires Macromedia Flash
MX or greater. Quitting." Oh, CS3 isn't greater??
Also, I found the Window > Other Panels on my Mac version
(where the extension did install but doesn't show up on the welcome
screen) and when I try to open the Motif Panel, I get several
Javascript errors and the panel opens up with blank content.
I will be sending a note to the author of the tutorial. Users
trying to develop Flash ads with the Flash Ad Kit be warned - it
    doesn't work!!

  • Help with connecting iPad 2 to Motif xs keyboard using GarageBand.?

I have an iPad 2. I recently bought the iPad camera connection kit from amazon because I heard you can connect your iPad to a music keyboard with GarageBand. I have a Yamaha motif xs 8. When I connect my keyboard with a midi USB to the iPad.. Nothing happens. Can anybody help with this, and am I missing something in order to make this work???

It worked for me no problem but I'm using an ES Rack and the dude on the video I think was using an ES. It maybe the XS is wired differently. Your best option is still getting a piece like IK Multimedia's iRig Midi. It connects from the iPad dock to actual midi cables and is way more flexible if your using multiple devices.

Does the Solaris 10 Encryption Kit provide anything that is not already provided by the

Many of those packages (like the ones ending in 'x')
do not exist for Solaris 10 for SPARC. Why do you
think you need them on Solaris 10?
DarrenYes, I found these under Solaris 10 product folder:

    SUNWzlib SUNWlxml
Do you know if the following still need under Solaris 10, we have this list from Solaris 9. Or if you know any corresponding name that is used in Solaris 10?

  • Mouse/cursor darting about

I have a mouse with a roller ball, but I have a problem with it. It keeps darting all over the place, mostly to the bottom left hand corner. It even does it when I'm not even using the mouse.
    Keep anybody help/advise ?

If it's an Apple mouse, it can be cleaned. The ball is naturally just a little sticky for traction and picks up crud off the mousepad or desk and politely transfers it to the two internal rollers and hammers it on but good.
Although your symptoms are a bit extreme except for the DEMS (dirtiest ever mouse syndrome), cleaning is the next step now that you've shown that a wire is not broken. NOTE: Also do the "wire wiggle" test at the end that connects to the keyboard or computer. That end gets stressed, too.
The ball has a wide, flat collar around it; arrows show which way to turn to remove the collar and free the ball. I wash the ball with mild soap and warm water, then dry it thoroughly with a lint-free cloth. Even then you should give it an hour or so to finish drying any moisture that has absorbed into the ball's surface.
While the ball is drying, look at the two long rollers inside the ball cavity. That's where most of the problem comes from. The hammered-on crud can be hard to remove. I start with a barely damp cotton swab and push at the crud on the rollers. If the deposits resist, I nudge them with the other end of the swab (the ones in my kit have wood sticks). Keep this up until the rollers are clean, then blow out any material that's fallen into the cavity.
Do the same for the smaller positioning roller. Although it does not contribute as much to poor cursor tracking, it can be a player. Clean it anyway.
While things are drying, check the mousepad for crud. Use DuctTape like a lint remover. If the pad really dirty, dump it and get a new one. They are harder to get clean than the mice.

  • Error while installing Migration Tool kit for SAP BPC7.0

    Hi all,
We are implementing SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Migration Process to BPC 7.0.
We are trying to installin Migration Tool Kit. In this kit we are having two set up files - one for BPCMigrationClient and another for BPCMigrationServer.
When i am trying to install the BPCMigrationServer set up file it diaplays a screen which says - Enter the service type accounts.- it has the following items - 1. System Admin ID, 2. password, 3. Admin ID, 4. Admin Password, 5. User ID, 6. User Password.
    1. System Admin ID already has the id ( through which i have logged on to the system). This option is non editable.
    2. password: gives option to type in the password.
3, 4, 5, 6 options are disabled and are blank. we are not able to edit them or write anything in them.
After entering the password when clicked on next , it gives us message saying Invalid Admin ID (3). But the problem here is that the 3,4,5 and 6 options are disabled. We cannot write anything in them. We are not able to install the migration tool kit because of this.
Can anyone help us out in solving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Madhav

CAn you precise also what Migration tool are you using?
Migration from 5.1 to SAP BPC 7.0 NW?
In that case when you are speaking about the installation about what part are you speaking?
I think actually you are speaking about the migration tool from 4.2 to 7.0 Microsoft version .
In that case you can install the mIgration tool just with SAP BPC sys admin users and you have to input the password for that user. Sys admin user for BPC is usually the user used for installation of SAP BPC server.
Any way I suggest to follow the Migration tool training document and there you will find all the information necessary.
