DART SAFT-PT v2.4

We recently upgraded to DART v 2.4 from 2.1. Due to manual steps we've encountered several bugs. Most are fixed. My question is what other notes do we need and what segments are needed? Also do we need to add custom segments? We are implanting a note to get the report that creates the XML file. Which notes are recommended for this as we found several? Any advice or info is appreciated. We are on 4.7.

Exclude customer ind DART exctract or SAFT

Hi all,
Is there any possibility to exclude customer accounts while creating DART Extracts or while creation of XML files for SAF-T PT.
The problem is, that some customers have no VAT Reg No and that leads to errors after uploading the SAF-T XML file to Portuguese Tax Authority.

SAFT - PT XML Master Data

I´ve been able to create the SAFT - PT XML file for the fiscal authorities in Portugal, but the data extraction tool, DART , isn´t exporting customer and vendor´s master data into the file.
I´ve selected all the needed structures for extraction in FTW1A and FTWP is configured.
Has anyone been faced with this issue ?

I am dealing with this SAFT issue for weeks now...
I had to implement several OSS notes and had more errors after that than before.
Unfortunately I can not check at the moment if our customer and vendor master data were exported as I am not able to do the necessary settings in FTW1A.
I am not able to choose the following master data segments:
TXW_BSEC,
TXW_CUST_E1,
TXW_LFAS
They are not included.
I am not sure if I have the current documentation for creating the file.
Did you select the above mentioned items?
Do you have an idea why they are not available in my FTW1A?

SAFT-PT: Unexpected XML declaration

Hello,
I'm implementing the SAFT-PT in release DART 2.5 and in Enterprise 500.
When i execute the DGCI apllication to validate the file extracted from the system, the applicationgive's the following error message: "Unexpected XML declaration. The XML declaration must be the first node in the document, and no white space characters are allowed to appear before it".
Someone have these error? If so, how do you solve it?

Report SAFT-PT for Portugal

we are currently trying to implement the report SAFT PT in our Project and I have some questions regarding the selection criteria in transaction RSAFT_XML
could you please tell me the documents types we should enter at the bottom of the screen ( TAB FI documents) in the field G/L Item and Business Partner ?

I am also using rsaft_pt_xml to generate audit file for Protugal project. The xml file losing </auditfile> and </masterfile> tag. In that case, the xml file can not be display correctly. We also have patched the sap notes to "1543036 - SAFT-PT Corrections RSAFT_PT_XML for 2010 (16)", but it does not work. Do you know how to solve this issue?

DaRT with Windows 8.1 not working on some machines

Problem: x64 bit DaRT8/801/8.1 not recognizing the OS and utlities are greyed out/unavailable on some machines.
System: Windows 8.1 x64
Steps taken:
Tried different DaRT toolset versions, set BIOS SATA operation to different modes, tried both UEFI and Legacy mode secure boot mode off/on, created the DaRT image with Windows 8 installation media and Windows 8.1, tested the DaRT boot iso on Virtual Machines
and it worked, all the utilities available.
Eventually gave up and booted into MiniXP from Hirens boot CD and reset the local account password with NTpass tool.
Why would DaRT work on some machines and not on others?

How was the SATA configured originally? If it was configured for RAID/AHCI and the DaRT disk does not have the RAID/AHCI driver the operating system may not be detectable, even if the mode is changed in the firmware.

We are running data extracts on DART (t-code FTW1A).
However we get error:
Could not open file c:\datafile.txt on application server ####.
We verified that c:\datafile is existing and accessible.
Please help tell why? Pints guaranteed. Thanks!

Saft.app message - How to Get Rid of It?

I am a new owner of a macbook and recent 'convert' from windows to mac os.
I installed and tried to uninstall saft.app (dragged everything I could find with the 'saft' name on it to 'trash', however each time I go into Safari I get the message:
*'saft.app is missing. Please copy saft.app to your applications folder.'*
How do I keep this message from appearing?
I read some responses from others on the web with the same problem and they referred to a file called 'input manager'. I cannot find this file anywhere on my macbook.

Help problem opening dart for publishers in firefox and safari

I work with the banner software Dart for publishers at work on my pc but have a mac at home. Dart doesn't work with firefox on my pc so I would assume it would not work on my mac as well. My problem is it isn't working in safari either.. I can not get internet explorer for a mac anymore so I am at a loss with what to do. I need to access this web page at home! Help

Has anyone tried disabling DART in the boot-args on an XSERVE running Tiger with 2GB RAM? Are there any effects on the PCI cards, except the obvious?

DART: FTWL displays only 100 lines

Dear DART experts and users, I wanted to display the extracted data from the data extract browser (FTWL), using the "Display Appl. Server Files" button (or feature), but it displays only 100th lines. Have you ever run into this and what was the solution to display more than 100th lines? 2nd question is can you download the "entire" extract file to a text file format including header description at once? I understand that you can display and/or download each segment header individually, but I'm wondering if there is a way to download all segments’ header and their lines at once. Regards,

What is your System release ecc60? EHP ?
Or do you have an older 4.6C 4.7 system?
What is your Dart release 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.7e ??
You need to better explain what you mean with your second question then, if my answer was not what you were looking for. If you’re talking about down loading everything you see to a text format when calling the FTWL, then this can be done with a little programming. I am not aware of a SAP transaction that allows you to do this all at once.

Dart 7 Image Network Support Broken When Imported into SCCM 2012

Hi guys, I've been trying to get Dart integrated into my Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 Task Sequences recently. Running SCCM 2012 SP1 CU3.
Until today I was able to PXE-boot DaRT7 and DaRT8 images, however the DaRT 7 images are now failing to boot - despite being recreated in
exactly the same way.
I understand that when SCCM imports a boot image the winpeshl.ini is overwritten - originally the DaRT7 images have the following winpeshl.ini entries:

%windir%\system32\netstart.exe,-prompt
%SYSTEMDRIVE%\sources\recovery\recenv.exe
After import to SCCM this looks like:

%SYSTEMDRIVE%\sms\bin\x64\TsBootShell.exe
I dont understand how the DaRT 7 images ever worked, as the first command from those that are stripped out (%windir%\system32\netstart.exe,-prompt) is what would initiate the TCP/IP stack.
Of course, no network = no TS shell, so thre client reboots. If I press F8, load a command shell and manually run %windir%\system32\netstart.exe and then run %windir%\system32\winpeshl.exe the TS shell loads.
Any ideas how I can fix this - essentially I just need the DaRT7 image to bring up the network automatically.

Microsoft DaRT Recovery Image Wizard - powershell execution policy

When I launch DaRT Recovery Image Wizard I get this message -
"Windows Powershell updated your execution policy successfully, but the setting is overridden by a policy defined at a more specific scope. Due to the override your shell will retain its current effective execution policy of AllSigned."
I want my powershell settings set this way.
But it wont let me continue to run the mDart wizard.
Why does it need to modify my powershell settings to less secure scope?
Is there a workaround for this? This seems like a bug.

DART - Question on Special G/L related segments

Hi guys,
I am new in SAP, and I have a few questions regarding DART extraction.
I have been given a task to study on how extraction is performed in DART, focusing on the extraction of "Special G/L figures" transaction data.
I know that DART extracts are organized in segments, and in performance assistance, it states that the segments TXW_KNC3 and TXW_LFC3 are processed when "Special G/L figures" is checked.
However, when I tried to find for these two segments in DART Segment catalog to check for their source tables and more details, it seems that I can't find it anywhere in the Segment catalog.
Therefore, I would like to know:
1) Is there any reason on why the two segments are not listed in the DART segment catalog?
2) Do I need to define a new segment for this? As for my understanding, the segments is provided by SAP by default.
3) I understand the definition of "Special G/L" and what it does, anyhow, in DART, it is stated as "Special G/L figures". Is there any difference between these? Does "figures" means like the header data of Special G/L?
I would really appreciate for your assistance.

Hello Shakir,
1.it depends on which DART release your using. It's been a while but I think G/L extraction came out with DART 2.5. The TXW's your looking for came with DART 2.7 and can be found in SAP Note 1511234
2. Segment information can be found in the transactions FTWW and FTWQ
3. G/L is General Ledger and you can find more information over this here : http://scn.sap.com/thread/1968409

MDT 2012 - DaRT 7.0 Integration Issue

Hello everyone,
I have successfully configured a new MDT 2012 environment from Release-To-Web versions of MDT. (Clean environment, no remnants of MDT 2010, etc.)
1 - I have copied the DaRT 7.0 Tools.cab file from both an x86 and x64 installation of Windows 7 Enterprise from the tutorial posted here:

I enabled DaRT, updated my boot WIMs, and tried PXE booting to my deployment share. I connect to my deployment share with no issues.
I then open the DaRT toolset from the intro menu.
Problem: The Standalone System Sweeper fails to run. Clicking on it displays "The tool failed to run. Try choosing another tool." The only option is to click OK and takes you back to the main DaRT menu selection.
Tests I have performed so far: For kicks and giggles, I have also rebuilt the boot WIMs with all of the contents from (Admin PC's hard drive) C:\Program Files\Microsoft DaRT 7\v7\ folder into the X:\DeploymentShare\Tools\(x64 or x86)\ .
I thought "Sweeper.cab" might do it, but no success.
Also, I know DaRT is partially working. Remote Connection starts automatically when the PC is booted to WinPE. I also know my DaRT media is not corrupted because I was able to generate a DaRT.iso image on my admin PC, extract the .WIM from the ISO and PXE
boot that with NO issues. (Everything in that DaRT media works without issues, which leads me to believe it is something in MDT 2012.)
FYI, if it helps any, the "Version.txt" file from the DaRT 7.0 installation says: 7.0.291.0
I have my scratch space on my WinPE media set to "128"
My WAIK version is 7.1 (7.0 with SP1 Supplement)
Also to the MDT 2012 team: Thanks, this version is much more polished out-of-box versus the 2010 initial release. I don't have to use extra scripts to clean up the "dirty" environment at the end of a Task Sequence anymore (it just works now), and I don't
get the odd partitioning scheme that 2010 used (BitLocker reasons). So, thumbs up!!!
