Dash Board Prompt - Date

Hello All,
I has a requirement on dates for the OBIEE Dashboard. I have a date parameter.... when the user selects a date... i need to get all the records that were between the date passed and 15 days past to that date
For Ex: If the user selects 15-01-2010 i need to get all the dates from 01-01-2010 to 15-01-2010
how can i do this..

hi kiran,
Add a date column to your report,and convert that one to sql by cocking on
Filter--Advanced-->convert this filter to sql
and in sql use the following syntax
Periods.Week(date column) between TimeStampAdd(SQL_TSI_DAY, -15, CURRENT_DATE) and CURRENT_DATE

am newbie to obiee .am using obiee 10.1.3.am develping dashboard with prompt but a little problem is here when i run dashboard
prompt are displayed ,i give values to them as i press go button prompt page hide and my dashboard page is displayed.i want prompt should be view in upper section and dashboard under it not at second screen.so in this way i use back option and then change value of prompt and then go for dashboard result.

Prompt in Answers in very rarely used or almost never used..
You can create the Dashboard Prompt for the column you required.
and in your Answers report, apply, 'is prompted' filter on that column.
In the dashboard, add the dashboard prompt and Answers request..

Dash Board Prompts

Hi everyone,
I have created a dashboard prompt with the following.
1.) Code
2.) ID.
Use needs to select the code and ID for to which are used as filters of requests used in the dashboard.
"Code" --- This is varchar which is having a control as drop down list, the values of which are populated from SQL Results. In the SQL i am using a session variable which is set as soon as user logs in.
"ID" -- This is a number which is having a control as drop down list, the values are using "Constrain" --- based on the code from drop down.
The issues is when a user logs in for whom the "Code" values from SQL is null, the ID is showing all values, but according to the requirement nothing should be shown and user should not be allowed to proceed.
How can this is achieved.

What do you mean exactly by "multiple analysis" ?
Also elaborate what exactly you mean by "bring Dashboard prompt on to excel" ?
1. are you trying to get only the selections made through the prompt into excel?
2. are you trying to get the prompt (form) into excel?
A workaround for point 1 above is feasible through narrative view, presentation variables,...

So when you specify a dashboard prompt as scope-> ‘page’, what this does is say that any selections made for this prompt will not be used to set other prompts within the dashboard. When you specify a dashboard prompt’s scope-> ‘dashboard’, this says that any selection of this prompt will be reflected in other prompts within the dashboard. I think people get it confused and think that the ‘page’ scope shields the prompt from receiving selections from other ‘dashboard’ scope prompts; but, it does not. The scope is only there to specify if the selection within the prompt will be local (page) or global (dashboard).

Sorting Dash board prompt

Hi all
I have a month Prompt its Char Ex. values are '1','2','3','4','5',...'12' now in dashboard its showing as 1,10,11,12,2,3,4...9
I want to sort it and show 'January' instead of '1' and 'Feb' instead of '2' so on........
AND even i show 'January' in the drop down of my Prompt i need to pass filter value to my "isprompted" field as '01' which was the actual value ..
any ideas friends
any help is appreciated.

Hi There
For sorting use the technique described in the earlier reply. Regarding choosing January and passing 1 is not possible, as in OBIEE the drop down don't work on code and value concept, whatever you see is what gets passed onto the prompt. The ideas is to have fact join with dimension using key column, that should improvise the performance.

Regarding New data in dash board

Hi gurus,
Can anybody tell me the steps to build a dash board, which can give me the fresh for every 10 minutes. As of now i know that in dash board we have one refresh button when ever we click on that, it brings the new data. So please tell me the steps to build this.

Dash board report for make to stock scenario?

hi friends,
Here i am having a problem that, I need to do the dash board report to display the sales and production values (quanty s , value) with particular date comparission.
some more detailed.
my client need the report with day wise production and sales values with respective of material number. I can make the report if it is make to order situation. but , this is make to stock situation. and also mentioned that values should match the G\L Account ,ref: fs10n Transaction.

With MRP at plant level, the system adds together stocks from all of the individual storage locations, with the exception of individual customer stock, to determine total plant stock. Hi ,
Could you please help me in integrating OBIEE Dash Boards with BPM . I thought of using 2 ways :
1) Integrating OBIEE with ADF First and then Integrating ADF with BPM . Its a long process but any other way if any one can help me .
2) Integrating OBIEE with BPM directly by generating webservices . but i couldnt get any options to generate the webservices for OBIEE .
Can anyone please guide me on this .

Daily Shift wise Report, Dash board reports

Dear all
With refering to the present project in 4.7 version the customer requirement is below.
1. Shift wise maintenance report - Here they are presently maintaining Section, shift, Date, From time, To time , Job descriptions, attenede by remarks.
In another coloum in same sheet they needs
From time, To time , Delay descriptions, attenede by remarks.
Then thirs is communication for next shift- there they are writing the texts which they are saying to next shift guys.
2. Another what they wants is regularly top managers wants to see the maintenance details ( prev order, down time, consumption cost etc ) in their system dash board(screen) . they are not willing to go sap. How to do this thro .Net or workflow . This is report should be fulfiiled by us.
3 Shutdown Planning report- here they are maintaining the date wise job hours in graphical form. How we can activate this

Dear thanks 4 ur answers. I have asked the same with our abapers , but they are new and not able to help. i have well tried with notification customer table addition in spro. but its not helping as required.
The thing is i cant prepare the specs for this report. Example for shift we can create Z table. But Processing job description, Action taken, delay reasons how i can prepare the specs.

CProjects dash board fields not getting populated

Currently using cProjects 4.0 on ECC6.0 server.
Facing problem for dash board data. Have created the project in cProject. Completed all the tasks, phases and project header also. I want actual start and actual finish date data to appear on the dash board.
For evaluations I have done following settings:
Activated Use Dashboard for corresponding project type ('Define Project Types' under 'Evaluations' and 'Dashboard').
Specified when evaluations are executed as : Only with background processing ( 'Define Project Types' under 'Evaluations' and 'Dashboard').
Assigned the extract layout to the corresponding project types for the dashboard evaluations
Other settings:
Transaction SPRO -> Collaboration Projects -> Evaluations -> Define Extract Layouts
extract layour here is 0_DASHBOARD, attributes for this extract layout selected as Actual finish, actual start by checking the box of Always extract
But I am still unable to see the dates in the Actual finish and Actual start fields on the dash board for the project of that project type.
secondly,
Currently Actual start and Actual finish fields are hidden, I make them to displyed column in the settings, but whenever I leave the the home page and again come to home page these fields are again going to the hidden column. I want them to be shown permanently.
Please help on the same.

under (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Operations Manager\3.0\Data Warehouse\):
• Increase the value of Bulk Insert Command Timeout Seconds to 80.
• Create a new DWORD value, name it “Search Command Timeout Seconds” and set its value to 300.
If these are custom Dashboards. If yes, are the built-in dashboards have the same issue. Does them show data as expected?

Hi Viren,
To create a web template you need to have the Web Application Dsigner (WAD) which is a part of the Bex Suite.
In the WAD you have different web items, like table, chart, drop down box etc. These an be used for designing the look and feel of the web application. But you need to supply them with data. This can be done by using a query or a view as a Data Provider.
The WAD is quite simple to operate with mostly drag and drop functions for including the web items in your template.

Web App Monitor Dash board is blank after switching to paid subscription

Hello,
I have successfully created a web app, published it to azure, and have been monitoring it on the Monitor dash board with all the 6 metrics, cpu time, requests, data in, data out etc. ever since starting the trial, and have watched the metrics on the dashboard
show all the data without any problems.
This past weekend, we switched over to a paid subscription, and now the monitor dashboard is blank. No metrics are being shown, and I have all the previous metrics selected so they should be displayed in the window. I switched over to the "New Portal"
thinking that there may be an issue with the default management portal, but the new management portal is also blank.
We also have a SQL Azure database as well, and I am not having any problems viewing any of the metrics for the database from either the default management portal or the New portal?
Can anyone explain why this might be happening?

I think this may be a Azure server issues, If your issue is still not fixed, then i would suggest you Open a Billing Ticket from portal by selecting portal errors and exceptions.

in above example Region 1 having 4 jobs with different lead time.
Business want to see numbers of jobs in region 1 (4), in which the percentage of Jobs lead time greater 10, and less or equal to 10.
Result in dash board should be no of jobs 4.
dash board should split into 2, one for jobs greater than 10 and other for less than or equal 10.
in above case 50 per for less than or equal 10 and for greater than 10.
