Dashboard Access

I created my dashboard logged in as the Administrator. I see it listed as 'My Dashboard' when I go into Answers. Now that I am creating other users, I want them to have the same dashboard. What is the recommended method for doing this?

To copy you need to go to Manage Catalog from Answers (see button on the top left side). Navigate from there to the dashboard in question. Don't forget to check the "Show Hidden Items" checkbox or you won't see the _portal folder. You will need to copy the dashboard pages and the "dashboard layout" so if you've created a "shell" dashboard, you will need to delete this first, before copying.

  • BI Dashboard - access denied for user to path /users/administrator/_portal/

    Hi,
While I am within OBI EE, I try to access My Dashboards and I get this error message:
" access denied for user to path /users/administrator/_portal/dashboard layout.
    Error Details
    Error Codes: O9XNZMXB "
I have looked in other forums and found a solutions which was to delete cookies and then restart the system whole. It didn´t work at first. After a while, the system would allow me to access My Dashboards but then....
....I wasn´t able to access the shared filters that are on the network, thus impeding my others dashboards to work.
Does anybody know what the correct procedure for having this work is?
    Thanks in advance,
    Javier Rincon

    Hi...
    go to Catalog Manager.
Open and navigate to particular folder (_portal in shared)
right click that and go to permissions.
In left pane are you able to see the presentation Administrator ??
If then, check what kind of permission Administrator has (full control or not), if not.. add Administrator into this pane from right pane (In the right pane, You can see the user by Unchecking the check box present below show groups only check box.)
you didn't tell with whom you logged in?
If administrator then follow the steps i mentioned,
else... same steps but instead of administrator check it for particular user.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Dashboard Access Error

    Hello,
I was playing with permissions in the manage dashboards section of settings > Administration and I removed Presentation Server Administrators from the 'Users and groups with explicit access to this Item' section.
I can no longer see this dashboard and I cannot access the permissions to make it visible again!!!
It was a rookie mistake as I was playing with Presentation Service Groups & general security...
Can anyone let me know how I can sort this out???
    Help!
    Thanks,
    Rhys

try login to answers and then change the permissions..
you can logon to to answers even if you don't have access to dashboard

  • Macbook freezes when dashboard accessed

Two nights ago, I let my computer sleep until the morning (I rarely shut it down at night). When I tried to login to the computer (via the screensaver password prompt), the computer froze. I did a force quit via the power button and when it restarted, the no (slash/circle) sign appeared then the flashing question mark. I then attempted to fix it via the disk utility, but I gave up when the utility searched ad nauseum.
I was able to restarted the computer and use it with no problems until I pressed the F12 key to access the dashboard. The computer freezes when the dashboard is displayed. If I have iTunes open, it will still play, but I can't get access the force quit via altctrlescape route.
I'm in the midst of finals and can't leave my computer at the Apple Store right now.
Has anyone had a similar problem? I recently did the firmware update. Could this be related?
    Thanks for your help.

Maybe you need a new VGA adapter? Can you bring your MacBook and adapter in to an Apple store and have them test your adapter and a known working adapter?

  • No dashboard access after Firmware Release 1.05.36

I purchased the EX4 about a week and a half ago. Hooked it up and all went fine. From dashboard I did firmware updates. First two went fine as I was able to get back in via dashboard. Then I did the FR 1.05.36 (the one that has you unplug) When it came back up I could no longer get to it via dashboard. The following is what I observed: No web access with browsers using ip address or machine name after Firmware Release 1.05.36 (7/8/2015) Windows Explorer shows WDMyCloudEX4 under Media Devices and storage. Public, Smartware and Timemachinebackup folders shown and accessible as well. I can copy files to it and retrieve files from it. WD My Cloud errors with failed to connect message. But it also shows Previously Connected Devices which is WDMyCloudEX4 and shows correct ip address of EX4 (same ip as shown on front display). WD Discovery shows EX4 Browse Network shares works but configure does not. Again no web access. mcp4_windows_setup cannot access EX4 either. Twonkey Media Server is accessable and functions just fine. So I technally don't have access to EX4 via dashboard. So evewrything works just fine except for dashboard.

Yes I have turned off and back on and performed 5 sec reset with paperclip. But I have been reading about a 40 sec reset. Is that for real and do you perform? I read many different ways to do it.

  • Dashboard Access & Scroll Wheel

I used to be able to call up Dashboard by depressing the mouse scroll wheel. This procedure no longer works. Any idea as to what may have happened?
The Dashboard, however, remains accessible via Dock icon.

    Yes, check in two places....
System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > set the scroll wheel to Dashboard.
    AND
System Preferences > Exposé & Spaces > Dashboard > set Hide and Show to Mouse Button 3. You can also assign Dashboard to an F-key here.

  • Can Magic Mouse access Dashboard like Mighty Mouse?

My friend has a Mighty Mouse and is still with Snow Leopard OS. When he presses the scroll wheel he can get Dashboard right away. I'm trying to get him to switch to a Magic Mouse but he is stuck on that Dashboard-access feature that he has with Mighty Mouse. Wondering if he can do the same thing with a Magic Mouse?

This is the BetterTouchTool preferences panel
I've configured a 2 finder double tap on the Magic mouse to bring up Dashboard.  This is on my Snow Leopard 10.6.8 iMac at work.
This is a list of all the Magic Mouse Gestures BTT offers
This is a list of all the Predefined Action that can be associated with a Gesture
You can also associate a Gesture with a hotkey combination
BTT can also define new Hotkeys (shortcuts), and it is much easier that the Mac OS X System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Keyboard shortcuts.  Much easier.

  • Performance point dashboard slow in rendering

    Hi,
we have some performancepoint dashboard deployed on SharePoint 2010. These dashboard access an olap cube and display some data from cube.
Sometimes rendering of dashboard is slow. Analyzing pages using developer dashboard we found that when rendering is slow we have a lot time spent in wcf calls to performancepoint services.
For instance we spent 30 seconds in one wcf method call to GetFilterDisplayData method.
If we run profiler in sql we don't see any query on analysis during these slow calls, so we assume there are some problems in wcf calls to PerformancePoint Service.
Also we looked to this article for applying some caching settings:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/performancepoint/archive/2010/04/16/a-general-caching-overview-for-performance-point-services-for-sharepoint-2010.aspx
Pages' filters don't contain too much data except for time filter that is a multi select tree filter that contains all days from January 2010 until today.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

lookalike MSFT know about this potential performance, i think you need WCF throttling.
    WCF throttling settings
PerformancePoint Services is implemented as a WCF service. WCF limits the maximum number of concurrent calls as a service throttling behavior. Although long-running queries could hit this bottleneck, this is an
uncommon bottleneck. Monitor the WCF / Service Model performance counter calls outstanding for PerformancePoint Services and compare to the current maximum number of concurrent calls.
If needed, change the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) throttling behavior. See the WCF
service throttling behaviors (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=200612) and Wenlong Dong’s blog post on WCF Request Throttling
    and Server Scalability (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=200613).
Please remember to mark your question as answered &Vote helpful,if this solves/helps your problem. ****************************************************************************************** Thanks -WS MCITP(SharePoint 2010, 2013) Blog: http://wscheema.com/blog

  • GRC AC 10:How to generate Access Rule? No output from User or Risk Analysis

    Hello Gurus,
We have done configuration of GRC AC 10, and uploaded files via
    SoD rules -->Upload Rules
After that we generated SoD rules for Risk Id : B001 and B002
Now when we go to NWBC --> Reports & Analytics >Access Dashboards>Access Rule Library
The report shows (for Group Rule level : Action)
Number of Active rules : 0
Number of Disabled Rules : 0
    Number of Functions :  151
Where as for Group Rule level : Action Risk
    The report shows
Number of Active Risk : 42
    Disabled risk : 161
    Nmr. of functions : 151 .
When we perform Risk Analysis at User Level or Role Level, the output is empty !!!
Note: All the background jobs have run successfully.
Also the SoD files also have been uploaded successfully.
Will you please guide how can i activate the "rules" for the uploaded risk ??
    regards,
    Victor

    Hello Victor/ Inder,
For Risk ID B001functions are BS02 and BS11 if you open any one of them you can see system maintained as SAP BASIS which is SAP_BAS_LG (logical connector group).
Post installation you can check in SPRO>Governance, Risk and Compliance-> common Component---> integration framework-> maintain connector and connector types->select SAP and click Define connector Group.
    BUSINESS     Business Roles     SAP
    SAP_BAS_LG     SAP Basis     SAP
    SAP_CRM_LG     SAP CRM     SAP
    SAP_ECC_LG     SAP ECCS     SAP
    SAP_HR_LG     SAP HR     SAP
SAP_NHR_LG     SAP R3 - NON HR Basis Logical Group     SAP
    SAP_R3_LG     SAP R3     SAP
    SAP_SRM_LG     SAP SRM     SAP
(If not present then manually you can create the same)
Select SAP_BAS_LG and put connector type as SAP,  select SAP_BAS_LG and click Assign Connector group to group types as AM & LG, then click on Assign Connector to connector group and maintain you connector.
Post this activity re generate SOD for B001 and then check for user level and role level analysis.
Hope it will resolve your issue.

  • Adjusting the angles of graphs in Disco Viewer or Dashboard by mouse

Can we adjust the angles(degrees) of graphs in Disco Viewer or Dashboard by just pushing the mouse?
    Thanks

    Hi Disco Newbie
Gosh, if I could get my hands on some pre-built finanial dashboards for Discoverer just imagine what I can do.
I'm afraid that dashboards are unique to an organization and what works in one place will not be suitable in another. But of course, it all depends on your definition of a dashboard. The one that I like and the one that keeps me out of mischief is this one:
A dashboard or dash board is a panel located under the windscreen containing indicators and dials such as the tachometer / speedometer and odometer.
I bet you never thought it was so easy.
Seriously, look again at this definition and you will see the foundation of a business dashboard. It's not the dials such as the tachometer, odometer, fuel gauge and temperature gauge that are important. It's not the numbers either.
What is really important is the meaning or significance (aka KPI) that we apply to those numbers. Thus, depending upon the situation a speed of 100 mph might be considered bad, particularly if being chased by an irate police officer down a busy city street. Do the same thing on a race track and you might be considered a menace for going too slow. But do 100 mph on an autobahn in Germany and no-one will bat an eyelid because it is perfectly acceptable.
The concept of dashboards in automobiles and in business are the same - they give you a snapshot of critical information at a glance. If you do happen to be running out of petrol the dashboard will automatically start the indicator to bring this fact to your attention upon a certain critical low point being reached.
Similarly, your business dashboards need to provide all of the critical information that is needed to run your daily operations. They can tell you if you are spending your petrol allowance.. oops I meant to say spending your company cash too fast; what is the cash flow; what is the percentage of patients who needed a repeat visit; how many requests for service were denied this week, and how does this compare with last week - and so on.
In a business, you can imagine that every employee has a steering wheel and an accelerator pedal but it is not necessary that everyone gets a full-blown dashboard. Since the user roles are different they do not need the same level and kind of information. The worker bees need to work and the managers need to manage. Typically only the higher executives will get the full dashboard priviliges. They want to manage by exception and will only become really interested when something out of the ordinary happens.
Thus, this is where you ought to begin. You need to find some metrics that when applied against a set of criteria will either have a value above, equal to or below the criteria. Since your boss has the dashboard access he or she can tell at a glance if the company is running out of petrol, or whether the dashboard can be closed for another day and he or she can get back to the golf course!
Does this brief and hopefully amusing overview of dashboarding help?
    Best wishes
    Michael

  • How to move a dashboard from a user page to another user page with cat.man.

    Hi,
I'm trying to move a dashboard from a user page to another user page with catalog manager 10g.
Or any other way that you know to make it easier, can you please help me?
    Thanks a lot.

    1. We can try to move the dashboard manually through FTP software like (Winscp) this is Linux and UNIX.
Are you trying move dashboard in windows, we have only one option through catalog manager we can move to dashboard, if you getting any error please post me we try to help out this.
    2. We can give dashboard access to both users then both users can able to see the dashboard page.

  • Group-Role Mapping OBIEE 11.1.1.6

    Scenario:
I have created some groups in console. Let the groups be
    A, B, C and D.
Now I want to create a role call it Manager and map A,B, C and D groups to Manager role in EM. And then give permissions (like Dashboard access) on Manager role.
    Issue:
When I try to map A,B,C and D to Manager role and check for user that belongs to group A, in his My Account, I don't see Manager role listed there.
But if I create roles A,B,C and D and map them to groups A,B,C and D respectively. And then map A,B,C and D role to Manager role, then in the user's My Account, I see Manager role.
    Question:
    1) What could be the problem? Is it necessary that group name and the role name to which it is mapped be same?
    2) Is there any way to automate mapping group from console to role in EM? We are planning to populate groups from a database table (around 2000 groups) and mapping them to roles would be very time consuming.
    Please help.

    Hi,
When you are adding permissions to policies in "Add permission" window select "Permissions" and "Permission Class" = oracle.security.jps.ResourcePermission (filter leave empty) and click search. You will find required permissions on the list.
