Dashboard Calculator suddenly incorrect (simple division)!

I've relied on the Dashboard calculator for years, and now suddenly it's spitting out incorrect errors. I've seen posts on the boards regarding order of operations, but this is messing up simple math. I'll give you some examples of the answers it's spitting out:
15 / 1 = 55,808
15 / 2 = 27,904
15 / 3 = 18,602.6667
3 / 1 = 55,808
3 / 2 = 27,904
3 / 3 = 18,602.6667
I've cleared it out (C key) to no avail. There seems to be a pattern to the answers above. Everything works fine for addition, subtraction and multiplication. I only get the erroneous answers with division. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Thanks!

When my user took the first print out the PO shows the incorrect Total amount.
After 10 mins my user taken the printout again,that time it shows the Toatal Price value is correct amount.

Hi,
Are you using the standard programm and print form or are you using your own?. Most of the printing issues happens because of own programms. Try with the standard and then you will be able to see why is this happening.

Can I copy and paste numbers to the Dashboard calculator?

I thought I used to be able to copy whatever number from Calculator to other apps. Is this not possible?

I can't get the Dashboard Calculator to do that but I can the Mac Calculator app. But I used the Menu Bar; Edit/Copy Edit/Paste to get it work, not the keyboard shortcuts.

Hi Jenny, I just had to do that, for the 3rd time. It is a pity though when one pays for such expensive software that this happens, specifically when the only Adobe help is to tell you to post your problem on a forum and hope someone can help you. Not good enough and not what I expected when I bought it. I am so disappointed in Adobe.

Trackpad "Double Clicks" on Dashboard Calculator

This is stressing me out to no end. Ever since I upgraded to Mountain Lion, my dashboard calculator double enters every digit I click. I haven't had this issue anywhere else but the default calculator on the dashboard. I can see from the rest of the threads I've read that it is to do with the software development. Has anyone found a solution for this problem? Every thread I read went dead before any solution came about (way too much rhyming in that sentence). I will note that if I "right click" the buttons on the calculator or enter them through my keyboard, it works fine. Please someone tell me I can fix this - I use it all the time!

I have the exact same problem. Were you able to solve it? I also see weird behaviour in mail which has a lag of a click. If I click on one message the click doesnt register, then I click on another and the previous message click registers. Very annoying.
I went to apple and they set up a new user for me. It does not happen with this new user so it could be something to do with preferences, but noone seems to know which.
The Apple Genius suggested to either backup/swipe and then manually pull all my data back (not a full restore since that would likely re-instate the same problem) or to manually move my data from one user to the other.
Both of these options would be very time consuming so I am hoping there is another way.
I am very careful with what I install on my mac, I have very few apps installed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Why does my dashboard calculator leaves double digits every time I press a single number it leaves two

Dashboard calculator problem. Every time you press the touchpad on any given number it enters 2. So if you press the number 4 it leaves 44 in the window pres 5 and get 55.
What is going on?

Have you tried to remove it and add it again to see if that fixes the problem? Just a thought

Simple Math Calculation is incorrect

I have seen this topic here before but cant find it. When I
do the following script it returns an incorrect value;
var myNumber = 999.43
trace(myNumber-999) //returns: 0.42999999999995
So how can I retrieve the value .43? I suppose I can do this;
var myNumber = 999.43
var hundred = myNumber*100;
var whole = hundred-99900;
trace(whole*.01) // returns: .43
But is there a better way? And why is it that Flash is
calculating like this?

the reason for the apparent error is because flash is
performing arithmetic on a binary computer. within the limits of
flash'es accuracy (16 digits),
0.42999999999995 = .43
to eliminate those errors, you can use integer arithmetic or
the flash string methods. integer arithmetic is probably preferable
if you're doing arithmetic operations.

The New Dashboard Calculator

The new Dashboard in OS X Lion changes the entire screen and makes the desktop disappear. I used to like to be able to use the calculator while staring at whatever I was working on beneath it. I can no longer do this. I have to switch back and forth between the dashboard and the desktop constantly, which makes adding several numbers from a document at once very difficult. Is there a way to use dashboard the way it was in Snow Leopard, where it hovered above my workspace?

Go into Mission Control's preferences, de-select "Show Dashboard as a space".

Simple division query

         I have simple query ...When i do division like 5/2 then answer will be whole number as 3....I am doing division of odd number with 2 but in that case i want answer to appear as earlier number e.g. if i divide 5/2 then i want answer as 2.
         Is it possible ???...if yes how??

Hp prime calculator Cannot Solve simple equation

Hello,
I'm trying to solve
solve( (2)^x = (x)^2,x)
But the calculator cannot solve or am I doing somthing wrong?.
I lost my TI Nspire CX and I though that HP Prime, since is a recent modern version, were able to solve something simple as that, I am wrong. (TI Nspire solved it ).
How solve the above equation using the HP Prime? I'm seriusly thinking to return this back.

Oops! Quite right. In general, all symbolic math work should be done in the CAS; that's what it's for. Home is intended for ordinary number-crunching, not symbolic math. Sorry for not pointing that out.

Calculated Column with simple math for price comparisons

Hi all,
I want to calculate a price difference from today's price versus the price of 5 days ago.
Please help me with a best practice for that. Is the use of calculated column in a calculation view the right approach? How can the price field of 5 days ago be addressed? Ideally 5 should be a constant which should be able to be changed to 6 or 7 for further simulations.

Looks like, the JOIN operation is more optimized than the Calculation view in this case . Depends on the data , JOIN type may very .

DAX Calculation shows incorrect results when driven from Time Slicer

Hi,
We have defined a DAX quarter on quarter calculation
PREV Q % 13F:=divide([PREV Q ABS 13F],[Prior Quarter 13F])
Prior Quarter 13F:=CALCULATE(sum([TotalValue]), DATEADD(Time[Date], -1, QUARTER))
PREV Q ABS 13f:=CALCULATE(sum([TotalValue]))-[Prior Quarter 13F]
which works fine in Pivottables in Excel but when time selection is driven by a time slicer the calculation doesn't work anymore:
Is this a but or expected behaviour? Are there other ways to use a control that affects multiple other pivot tables like the time slicer?

OK, there are some really interesting points here - i think the screenshot below best explains it:
Time Slicers use MDX subselects to propagate the selection to the pivot table:
SELECT .... FROM (SELECT Filter([Fact13FSample].[ReportDate].Levels(1).AllMembers, ([Fact13FSample].[ReportDate].CurrentMember.MemberValue>=CDate("2013-04-01") AND [Fact13FSample].[ReportDate].CurrentMember.MemberValue<CDate("2013-07-01")))
ON COLUMNS FROM ...
this works just fine for normal measures but seems to cause issues with time-intelligence function
it actually causes an issue with all calculations that use CALCULATE and thereby shift the context out of the subselect
it seems that you cannot get out of this context using DAX- at least i could not find a solution yet
not even this works:
All Quarter 13F:=CALCULATE([SumTV], ALL('Time'))
the result is always limited to the subselect :/
funny thing is that this only seems to happen with this specific subselects so i guess it is further related to MDX FILTER() or .MemberValue or CDATE()
the only option i could currently think of is to use regular slicers

Simple division in Java

Hi all,
Can someone explain the following to me
int num1 = 110/60 - answer = 1 (expected)
float num2 =110/60 - answer also =1 ( not expected)
How do I get accurate results for my division?

You can only get:
1.) more digits
2.) a closer match to a other (faulty) system that is better-known and thus "looks" more precise (i.e. BigDecimal)

My keyboard layout on iPad 4 is suddenly incorrect anybody know how to fix this problem?

WWhen I opened my iPad tonight, the keyboard layout was, nno longer as it should be. the letters are not in the right places, at least some aren't. Can anybody tell me how to correct this?

Second question first. To add the English keyboard did you go to settings> general> keyboard> keyboards> add new keyboard ?
Back to the first question. Hold your finger on the globe icon on the keyboard to see if another language keyboard has been added. If so switch back to English.
Next try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons until the Apple logo appears. Release both fingers. Wait until your iPad starts on it's own.
If the keyboard is still messed up try settings> general> reset> reset all settings. Be sure you know you wifi password before doing this step you'll need to enter it.
Next I'd be heading over to the Apple Store and see if they have a solution. There should be a simple fix,
