Dashboard help?

hello I am trying to make a widget contacts list in dashboard through one of my chat programs I use. I just want to be able to see whose online through the widget how can I get my contacts onto the widget, is there anyone who can help me get started? I'm rather new at this. Thanks guys.

Can you confirm the following three services are running correctly on your machine?
1) The Windows Server Addins Infrastructure Service
2) The Windows Server Identity Management Service
3) The Windows Server Server Backup Service
If no, please manually start them and see if the issue persists.

Dashboard Help!! Cant get into dashboard to delete PowerPC Widget

I recently downloaded a widget to my dashboard and now when I attempt to go into dashboard I receive an error message that boots me out of dashboard and onto my desktop. The error message reads "You can't open the application motion because PowerPC applications are no longer supported." I want to delete the widget, but I am unable to because I get kicked out of dashboard before I am able to hit the plus sign to delete the widget.
I was wondering if there was any other way to delete a widget besides going into Dashboard or if there are any other ways to fix my problem.
I am using a Macbook Pro Early 2011 edition Mac OS X Lion 10.7

You should be able to delete it from the widgets folder in your home Library (~/Library/Widgets).
To get into your home Library, hold the option key down while activating the Go menu in Finder.

How to modify a Pod in the WASI Dashboard - HELP! PLEASE?

Dear All.
I am very new to Flex and programming as a whole. So please do forgive me if I do not express my query clearly or with the right info. I'm teaching myself Flex 3 whilst trying to build an application.
As part of my application, I am using the WASI built Dashboard which can be found here. The pods within this component are self sizing and position depending on where the other pods are placed at any given time. I'm trying to give one of the pods within the Dashboard my own default position, height and width which it should take up when the application starts. Being new to programming and Flex, I haven't a clue how to do this particular modification.
For those smarter than I, I have included the .zip containing the docs for the component.
Please help!

If your list box (I assume we're talking about the <SELECT> element) is on the same page as your posted code it won't work unless you've made a preceding POST or GET request from the same page.
The request.getParameter("parameterName") will retrieve that parameter from the preceding request and not from the same page (unless the above mentioned circumstances).
If you want to use a value from within the same page I recommend Javascript:

Safari, dashboard & help not working after 10.4.9

I have loved my iBook since day 1, until 10.4.9. This is my first Apple computer and I was very close to being a convert. I updated through sys prefs to 10.4.9 and now: Safari opens for a split second then closes with kernel errors (or I least I assume from the crash log), no more widgets and dashboard does not work and help files do not work. What gives? I tried downloading the combo update but it was a .exe file. Forgive my lack of tech know how, I know some, enough to get me in trouble evidently. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried booting into safe mode, Safari does the same thing, I have tried repairing permissions in safe mode and in regular mode as admin, nada. HELP!

I originally updated through sys pref and just let it go. One day later things stopped working. Repairing permissions etc did nothing. Applied the combo update, verified the disk before hand, repaired permissions after the update and reboot, now things are back to normal as far as I can tell, better even in some areas. Hope this can help others with similar problems.

Dashboard Help Please!

I have a new black macbook with osx 10.4.9 for some reason i dont have dashboard. Is there a way i can just download dashboard somewhere? I tried to reinstall the osx but the disc that i have is an older osx and says it wont let me install since i have a newer verision. Can anyone help me get dashboard working?

Then I would take the computer to the Apple vendor from whom you purchased it or your local Apple retailer and have them reinstall the OS for you. Alternatively, you can do that yourself using the OS X Installer Discs that came with the computer. You could do this by doing an Archive and Install:
How to Perform an Archive and Install
1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.

a) User will be selecting the Start Effective Date & End Effective Date in Prompts and this filter is based on Time dimension
b) Please note that, the time dimension has only Calendar Date Column and Fact Table also has data with respect to Calendar Date ONLY NOT LIKE Effective Start Date Revenue, Effective End Date Revenue
b) once date range is selected, the report has to be shown with the following selected columns and filters applied

The report should contain the following columns based on date range selection:- Start Date & End Date
Start_Date_Revenue End_Date_Revenue Start_Date_Stage End_Date_Stage
So, I have used FILTER(Revenue using Date = 'Presentation Variable for Start Date') & FILTER(Revenue using Date = 'Presentation Variable for End Date') for Revenue Calculation.
Similarly, is there any way to retrieve the stage columns data for each date and show it in report?
Note:_ I have tried the filter function for Dimension Column to bring Stage but it works only for Measure Column

Track Pad Stopped Working: Swipes between FullScreen, Desktop and Dashboard, Help Please?

So I gotta do an assignment and I'm using about 2 or more apps at the same time on fullscreen, but I can't swipe between the two apps with my trackpad. I checked the system preferences and the 'swipe with 3 fingers between full-screen apps' has been ticked, but it won't work. Only the keyboard works, but it's hard to remember controls to switch between desktops, dashboard and full-screened apps.
Is there something wrong with what I've ticked? Or is it the track pad itself.

i have a page which displays like dril down table which has information of customers, beside the under that table i hve round diagrams which has business orinet things around that lot of object are there.
for example it looks

When user cancel the operation, browser send a message back but webserver/weblogic just ingnores it.
You check BufferOutputStream class or any other class that it extends to see if flush() method does really flushed, if not then it means that the operation has been cancelled.

Gosh, if I could get my hands on some pre-built finanial dashboards for Discoverer just imagine what I can do.
I'm afraid that dashboards are unique to an organization and what works in one place will not be suitable in another. But of course, it all depends on your definition of a dashboard. The one that I like and the one that keeps me out of mischief is this one:
A dashboard or dash board is a panel located under the windscreen containing indicators and dials such as the tachometer / speedometer and odometer.
I bet you never thought it was so easy.
Seriously, look again at this definition and you will see the foundation of a business dashboard. It's not the dials such as the tachometer, odometer, fuel gauge and temperature gauge that are important. It's not the numbers either.
What is really important is the meaning or significance (aka KPI) that we apply to those numbers. Thus, depending upon the situation a speed of 100 mph might be considered bad, particularly if being chased by an irate police officer down a busy city street. Do the same thing on a race track and you might be considered a menace for going too slow. But do 100 mph on an autobahn in Germany and no-one will bat an eyelid because it is perfectly acceptable.
The concept of dashboards in automobiles and in business are the same - they give you a snapshot of critical information at a glance. If you do happen to be running out of petrol the dashboard will automatically start the indicator to bring this fact to your attention upon a certain critical low point being reached.
Similarly, your business dashboards need to provide all of the critical information that is needed to run your daily operations. They can tell you if you are spending your petrol allowance.. oops I meant to say spending your company cash too fast; what is the cash flow; what is the percentage of patients who needed a repeat visit; how many requests for service were denied this week, and how does this compare with last week - and so on.
In a business, you can imagine that every employee has a steering wheel and an accelerator pedal but it is not necessary that everyone gets a full-blown dashboard. Since the user roles are different they do not need the same level and kind of information. The worker bees need to work and the managers need to manage. Typically only the higher executives will get the full dashboard priviliges. They want to manage by exception and will only become really interested when something out of the ordinary happens.
Thus, this is where you ought to begin. You need to find some metrics that when applied against a set of criteria will either have a value above, equal to or below the criteria. Since your boss has the dashboard access he or she can tell at a glance if the company is running out of petrol, or whether the dashboard can be closed for another day and he or she can get back to the golf course!

The manufacturing company I am interning in implemented a BI/dashboard initiative six months ago (business objects XI) and wants to know how satisfied users are with the dashboards (are the dashboard helping users do their jobs better? are users using the dashboards as inteded? are users satisfied with the chosen KPIs? how about look and feel, speed of the interface?, etc.)
I'd like to find an example of surveys that focuse on BI/dashboard user exprience. Something i can take as a template and tweak for my needs (instead of recreating one from scratch). Any kind of lead is appreciated.

WC Spaces sidebar Sub-Menu, is it possible?

I have a question reguarding WC Spaces navigation.
I have seen that it´s possible to create new pages in the application, and each page will have a new tab in the top bar.
My question is, is it possible to alter the pages hierarchy to create a new level, and add a menu side bar on the left?

Safari download for mac.

my internet has been insane lately. so i decide to wipe out my browsers and re downlad them incase its just a corrupted safari. so i trash safari and keep firefox. all is well untill i go to the apple website and find now safari download for mac. am i crazy? there are 2 otions for windows users and no mac. uhhhhhhhhhhh.....help?!?!

The reason for the lack of a download is mainly due to WebKit. This is the part of OS X that knows how to render a webpage and is used by Safari, Dashboard, Help Viewer, Mail.app etc.
Each point release of OS X tends to update WebKit and the versions of applications that work with it. So, Apple would have to provide downloads for every variation of Safari that has been released - going back to 10.3 that's probably getting on for 15 different versions. As you can imagine this is just as likely to lead to people trying to install the wrong versions for their systems.
The same applies to other OS X applications - Mail, iCal, iChat, etc. None of these are available for individual download in the case of accidental deletion.
The one exception to this that is made is that you can reinstall certain applications from the installation DVD, as mentioned in [this article|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301229].
For Windows, life is a bit simpler as WebKit is delivered with the Safari application (since there are no dependent applications on Windows that use it).

I haven't started using Power BI yet, but one thing I am finding difficult is getting a definitive list of technology dependencies. There are now multiple BI components available that use various incarnations of Office / SharePoint and, despite the
plethora of documentation, it seems to be hard to hard to figure out what bits work together.
For example I have read both that Office 365 is only a cloud based solution and, elsewhere, that it can be 'on premise'. If it is on premise, is it the same as Office 2013?
Does Power Bi work with both? What version of SHarePoint would the on premise version work with?
Does anyone know of a single document that presents clearly, which bits work where and with what?
