Dashboard/Scorecard with Human Resource Indicators

Hello
I have been given the task of creating a Human Resource Performance Indicator Report or dashboard/scoreboard.  I am interested in ways of making this report dynamic, but I do not have access to Business Objects and I am looking for ways to create a dynamic report with Web Application Designer.
Has anyone created a report with such indicators as Vacancy Rate, Turnover Rate, Number and Percentage of Promotions, etc?
I am working with SAP BI 7
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi ,
To get dynamic indicators the speedometers or the indicators charts can be embedded ina report in report designer.For these charts provide queries with conditions or respective key figure values.
The reports can be directly executed in portal or can be inserted in a template in WAD.

  • Redwood dashboards/scorecards loading very slow

    Hi all,
    We  have Redwood 8.0 on NW 7.3  , we are observing huge performance issues   while accessing DASHBOARDS & SCORECARDS.
    JCS_JOB0 and JCS_JOBDEF tables have huge selects like millions...
    We have message with Redwood team   and they are taking time to analyse.
    Are there any steps we can check to fine tune the system.

    Rebuilding the index on those tables might help a bit.
    Please make sure, you have set the necessary java memory parameters.

    Friends -
    We are planning to implement Self-Service Human Resources in HRMS 11i. I am able to find out information using metalink note : Recommended Patch List for Self-Service Human Resources (SSHR) in HRMS 11i [ID 108897.1].
    As per note : 108897.1 there are bunch of patch details i am not sure which patch i need to apply currently we are on oracle apps 11.5.10.2 with Rup5

    Hi,
    I agree. However, I understand that the Patches search in My Oracle Support website mentions that the RUP patch is included in the next RUP patch available.
    Please note that you need to consider also the patches in the following documents on top of RUP 5.
    Note: 1075477.1 - Known Issues on Top of Patch 9062727 11i.HR_PF.K.DELTA.5 (11i HRMS RUP 5)
    Note: 1096417.1 - Applied Patch 9062727 (11i.Hr_pf.K.Delta.5) And Left With FFP<######> Invalid Packages

  • Ship to Country and Bill to Country in Human Resource

    Hi,
    It is said in the iStore documentation that Ship to Country and Bill to Country for Operating Unit should be setup in Human Resource in order to build a global store.
    Currently no country has been added for either attributes for Vision Operations in Vision Demo instance. Yet it seems the out-of-box specialty store works just fine. Why?

    Hi Mansoor,
    Is this for new transactions or existing ones that went thru the 8.8 upgrade? Is this for new BP that the address doesn't show or existing (if you have other transactions with no address problem then it shouldn't be the address format setup unless something happened in the upgrade).

    We use Silkroad (yup I know unfortunate clash if names) for hiring, appraisals, training track etc. Totally cloud based with reminder

    Our HR group is wanting me to find them a good Human Resource management system that they are able to put all employees information in and have it stored in one location. The interesting piece is they are hoping this links back into outlook. Was hoping to get others thoughts on this and see what others are using.

    I am having doubt in Organization, enterprises and personnel structures in OM. anyone give an idea how it is formed ?
    How will create personnel area, personnel sub area (enterprise str) ?
    How will create employee group and employee sub group (Personnel str) ?
           is it pers area and sub area are mandatory?
    in what criteria we will assign this for human resouce in client, compy code,
    emp grp, emp sub-grp etc.

    to start with you use first T-CODE SPRO
    then start project
    step one under enterprise structure > financial> create client, company, company code
    assign company code to company
    enterprise structure > human resource> create personnel area , personnel areas
    u need min one personnel area to map to personnel sub areas.
    then you describe employee and employee sub group
    under employee you have employee sub group with particulat country grouping
    so you have company > company code> then you have personnel area> personnel areas
    this is one simple structure
    there could be complex as per the business requirement

    It looks like customization error.
    Read enterprise structure, personnel structure and other structures very well.
    Create company code, edit company code, create personnel area, create personnel sub area
    Create employee groups and sub groups
    Assign personnel sub area to company code
    Assign employee sub group to group along with country grouping.
    Check all relevant configurations pertaining to FI.
    Create all the above without erros, so which you may not get the error and can proceed further.

  • Cannot use Enter Persons Form because Human Resources fully installed

    I have recently installed 11.5.10 (using RapidInstall, with the sample Vision database). A problem I encounter is that when I try to enter an employee, an error pops up:
    APP-PAY-06041: You cannot use the Enter Person Form because Human Resources is fully installed. Instead, use the Human Resources People Form.
    Since I don't need the HR module, how can I disable/uninstall/remove it?
    Any help or pointers to any user guides will be appreciated.

    Uninstalling Human Resources is simply not possible.
    you can try to trick the system by setting HR back to Shared install. One single update can do that. Do not try this at home.
    If that is not enough, you can do a minimal implementation of HR, so that the full install people form works correctly, and so bypassing the shared people form in finance.

    If it helps, could I add a few thoughts?
    As Nicolas said, the WebLogic and WebSphere in the install document are an either/or option. You don't need both -- in my opinion, WebLogic is the way to go. From my experience, WebLogic is the prevalent option used in PeopleSoft installations, but maybe that is just the places that I have worked.
    Also, the application server that you mentioned is part of the PeopleTools install CD. When you run the PeopleTools setup program, you will have a "PeopleSoft Home" directory. In that directory, you will find an appserv directory where your "Application Server" lives. You will use the psadmin program installed with PeopleTools to configure and launch the application server. In a later setup in the install document, you will configure WebLogic with an Java app called "PIA" that will talk to the Application Server.
    So, when you get done, you will have four tiers. The browser talks to WebLogic or WebSphere. WebLogic talks to the PeopleTools proprietary application server (psadmin). Then, the application server talks to the database (Oracle DB).
    I hope that overview helps it make sense.

  • Human resources license

    Hi,
    I wanted to checked if HR is separately licensed or is it part of the base EBS install. We have installed rel 12 which shown Human Resources (HR) as lincensed. It does not appear that HR should be licensed unless it is part of the base install.
    Also, if not licensed, what is the process to change from Licensed to Shared.

    AFAIK, HR is the only product that will allow you to change from fully installed to shared install (as documented in the note Hussein references above). No other module will allow this. Pl see chapter 3 of the Maintenance Utilities Guide http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25516_18/current/acrobat/11iadutil.pdf and ML Doc 404979.1 (How to De-Install Individual Applications in Oracle E-Business suite). To correct this situation you will have to start with a fresh install and then correctly license the modules you plan to use.

    Define POsition WKFLW_NAME="US SHRMS POSITION TASKFLOW"
    I compiled the FlexField as required by Metalink and this is not helping matter in the sense that the same error is still being thrown.

    Is the Human Resources Sample Schema available in 10g?
    I wasn't successful at downloading 10g_win32...
    Then I tried the instant client version...
    I got some files: vc6, vc7, vc71, classes12, and a bunch more .dll files.
    I just want to download the simplest version that I can use while learning SQL. (Re: "Databases Demystified"). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Initially I tried to download version 10g_win32, not knowing if it had the HR schema or not. Then I tried to download the instant client version of 10g, thinking I would save myself disk space. I just wanted to be sure that after all the bother with problem downloads I would end up with one that I could use. Which version are you using? Can I use it to practice SQL commands?
