Dashboard URL not opening

Hi,
I am trying to access the dashboard URL using
http://<mc name>:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard
It shows login page. I entered default Administrator user and password as SADMIN. Then click go. It show "Logging in. Please wait" and it is not going ahead. What might be missing. Is there any log file generated where i can check what is wrong?
Thanks,
Prasad

Issue is resolved by reinstalling OBIEE

  • Dashboard does not open in Mavericks

I updated my MacPro from Mountain Lion to Mavericks using the download from the app store. Since this update, the Dashboard will not open.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

  • Dashboard will not open?

    I have a Macbook Air Late 2010:
    Mac OS X Version 10.7.5
1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 (Unnecessary info but throwing it all out)
Everything is perfectly fine except one problem. My dashboard will not open when I click it. It bounces, but nothing shows up. I've never downloaded anything that would mess up the dashboard and I know this based on my experience. I have a couple of widgets on it and a couple of sticky notes, sometimes very useful, as a reminder for certain things. I have restarted my computer, deleted any applications that may cause the problem, I have went through the Mac HD and follow other posts on Apple Support and delete com.apple.dashboard with no result. I am not very sure about the last I have done which is deleting the com.apple.dashboard because I understand Windows more than OS X, so I will accept any clear instructions on the com.apple.dashboard.plist things.
    Any ideas?

    Hi
Launch Terminal – /Applications/Utilites/ – at the prompt key in:
defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean NO
    followed by
    killall Dock
Tip: you can copy and paste these direct in to terminal. That should do it.

  • "Go to URL" not opening in a new browser window

We are using FrameMaker 10 and RoboHelp 9 in a Windows 7 environment.
When we create hypertext links, we use the "Go to URL" command.  According to the FrameMaker 10 online help, this is what the command is supposed to do: "Launches browser and displays the specified Web page."
Then we publish the content to RoboHelp's WebHelp.
When we see the hypertext link in the WebHelp/HTML output, it looks like this: http://www.adobe.com
When we click it, the Web page appears inside the content frame of the WebHelp.  It does not open a new browser window.
We can manually go into the html file and look at the hypertext link.  It looks like this in the WebHelp output:
    <span class="FM_Link"><a href="http://www.adobe.com">www.adobe.com</span>
In order to manually change the link so that it opens the Web page in a new browser window, we can edit the link as follows:
    <span class="FM_Link"><a href="http://www.adobe.com" target="_blank">www.adobe.com</span>
After we manually edit the HTML file, save it, launch the WebHelp, and click the hypertext link...it now opens the Web page in a new browser window.
Is there a way to create the hypertext link in FrameMaker so that the WebHelp output will open the Web page in a new browser window?
    Thank you in advance!
    Tim

Please see the previous posts in this thread to review how you create hyperlinks in FrameMaker that open the Web page in a new browser window.
The problem is this: If you publish the exact same file to PDF, the hyperlinks will not work.
The properties (syntax) of the hyperlinks in PDF output need to look like this: http://www.adobe.com
The hyperlink syntax in WebHelp (in FrameMaker) needs to look like this: http://www.adobe.com" target="_blank
(...so when they are published to Webhelp, they look like this: "http://www.adobe.com" target="_blank")
Other than going into either the HTML or the PDF output and manually changing each hyperlink URL syntax for the specific output, is there a syntax that opens a new browser window in both PDF and HTML with one single "Go to URL" command?
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Dashboard does not open...

It is possible that it happened after connecting my new 20" cinema display: that my
dashboard widget does not open any more : When I click it , the screen becomes
    light blue but no dashboard...
Also when I press the 3-rd and 4-th mouse button together (which used to open the dashboard} : the screen just becomes light bleu : but no dashboard appears...
Does anybody know what to do about this????
    Thanks a lot

    HI,
Did you actually trash this file? com.apple.dashboard.plist? From /Users/YourName/Library/Preferences ???
If that doesn't work, try downloading and installing the 10.5.6 combo update available here:
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10-5-6_ComboUpdate
If you do this, repair disk permissions before and after the update.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select FirstAid, then click: Repair Disk Permissions. Quit DU when it's finished and reboot.
Might not be a bad idea to check the boot disk for errors just in case and only takes a few minutes even if you have used DiskWarrior.
Restart your Mac while holding down the C key, pressing the power button and inserting your restore disk all at the same time. An Installer window will open, but do not proceed with any installations. Instead, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities > Disk Utility. In the Disk Utility window click First Aid, and then click Verify. If Disk Utility reports errors, click Repair. When Disk Utility is finished, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Disk. Select MacintoshHD 10.x.x and click Restart.
You could try extracting the Dashboard app from your restore disk(s) using Pacifist

  • Urls not opening

I have a number of buttons in a tutorial that need to open specific urls when clicked. I've set them to open in new tabs as per other comments on this issue I've seen elsewhere but the links still do not open.
The tutorial is saved on a web server.
Please can someone advise what else I can do?

    Hi there
Well, actually there is one other thing to look at and consider. Where is the Captivate output when you are testing? If you say you are testing the compiled output from your hard drive, Flash Security settings may be nailing you.
Click here to read more about that

  • Dashboard URL not accessible from other computers in office

My Analytics is on Windows on my desktop. I can access Analytics from my desktop, but other people can't.
Is it because Analytics Dashboard can only be accessible by the desktop on which it is installed if on Windows ?
    Thanks
    raj

Check whether from other people machines you are able to ping your machine. If its not doing then you need to do some setups (mostly your network admin can do that for you) and get the communcation between machines. If its done then other people can access your dashboard URL.

    1. Did you use IIS to deploy .
    2. In that case, go to IIS manager and try to right click on 'workspace' folder -> browse.
    3. Is it by any chance on 64 bit env?

  • URL not opening in new window

    Hi Gurus,
I am stucked in a problem related to Portal. I am developing a portal page under which many Links with URL's will be listed. I want all the URL's should be opened in a separate window.
I am unable to do so.
Appreciate any quick help on this,
    Thank you
    Raj

If you are creating the links with html (not using URL items) then just include target="_blank" in your link like <a href="#" target="_blank">your link</a> to open a link in a new browser window. If you are adding links to the page using URL items, then check the option to show the link in a new browser window. Note: if you are using an HTML Content Layout template and have applied it to the item region where you are publishing your URL items, then you will need to include conditional statements in the template to check for that (e.g. open link in new browser window) and include the correct target for the link based on what was selected for that item.

  • Dashboard does not open anymore!

A week ago, my dashboard stopped working, and soon, my harddrive went corrupt. I start my computer, and it would never go to the login screen. I finally used a 9 pin to 6 pin firewire cable from my macbook pro unibody to my mac mini, and set my macbook pro in target disk mode, and ran diskwarrior on my mac mini. My computer now works, and i can confidently say that DiskWarrior is one of the best pieces of software I have ever seen. Now, everything works, except dashboard. I try clicking the icon, hitting the dashboard key on my keyboard, and i even downloaded and tried to install a new widget, but that did not work either. I can still see my widget preferences files in User/Library/Preferences, but dashboard refuses to show up. I have also tried reinstalling Applications through the Macbook Applications Install DVD, but that did not fix anything. If ANYone has suggestions to get dashboard up and running, i would really appreciate it. I have some stuff written in there that i really need. I can get them through the pref files, but i'd rather have dashboard working in one piece
    Thanks!

  • IWeb website & Cyberduck load-URL not opening

I used iWeb to create a website and after reading the recommendations, I decided to use Cyberduck to upload my website.  I successfully entered in the data from my web host and uploaded all of the website content into Cyberduck.  The green light is ON next to my bookmark for my website.  However, when I go to my URL (www.nhwctr.org), this is all I see:
    HTTP/1.1 404
    Connection: close
    Date: Thu, 15 Sep 2011 22:52:43 GMT
    Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0
P3P:CP="BUS CUR CONo FIN IVDo ONL OUR PHY SAMo TELo"
    MicrosoftSharePointTeamServices: 12.0.0.6421
    X-DIP:216
    X-UA-Compatible: IE=EmulateIE7
    MS-Author-Via: MS-FP/4.0,DAV
    MicrosoftOfficeWebServer: 5.0_Collab
    X-Powered-By: ASP.NET
And at times, the message "server not found".  Any suggestions as to what's going on????

Firstly, you don't upload your website content into Cyberduck - the whole point of Cyberduck is that you use it to upload your content to your server and not Cyberduck itself.
If you use Cyberduck, it will show you what is on your server as well as your desktop.
Open Cyberduck and on the left hand side there is a link that says 'Open Connection'.  Click on this and then enter all your server details - ftp name, username and password and then click on connect and you will be connected to your host/server if these details are correct.
You should then be able to see everything on your server.
In Cyberduck, there is an Action button to the right side with a drop down menu - click on this and then click on Upload and you can then find the published files of your website that you published from iWeb to your desktop. Select the folder and click on upload and it will be uploaded to your server.  Click on the separate index.html file and upload this too, so that it sits outside the site folder.
This is all you need to do to upload.
Don't know why you have Microsoft?  iWeb sites work better with a Linux server and Windows hosting can cause problems, so you should probably consider changing.
What web host are you using?
