Dashcode quits at the startup, Incompatible library version

Hi all, I'm on Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and I have a problem with Dashcode.
It quits at the startup because:
Dyld Error Message:   Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libcurl.4.dylib
Referenced from: /Applications/Utilities/Dashcode.app/Contents/MacOS/../Frameworks/CYKit.
Reason: Incompatible library version: CYKit requires version 7.0.0 or later, but libcurl.4.dylib provides version 6.0.0
How do I do?
Is it possible to update this Library?
Sorry if the question is dummy, I'm totally newbie...
thank you in advance for your help

Hi! no one can give me some help? please...

  • Incompatible library version of fontconfig

    Hello,
Just in case there's a quick fix... I'm getting this message on my mac which was running this application (called "root") without problems until about 2 weeks ago. I guess some software update must have overwritten the right version of fontconfig. Maybe someone has advice?

  • Missing startup script for version cue

I'm having the problem where I don't seem to have the startup scripts for version cue in bridge.
When I check the list of startup scripts in preferences, the other scripts all seem to be there like for contribute, fireworkds etc. However version cue is missing.
I also checked the actual locations for the startup scripts.
The scripts for version cue seem to be in the actual locations but for some reason they're not running or showing up in bridge or that's what I'm assuming anyway.
I'm running bridge CS4 and version cue CS4.
If anyone could help me that would be great!

What then do they recommend?  The URL listed below is broken/no longer available.  The solution listed above does appear to work.  I installed Version Cue Server CS4 after having installed the rest of the suite on my workstation.  I used drive to link to the server(my machine which I am using for testing).  I had CS3 on this machine before uninstalling it and installing CS4.

  • Incompatible Xalan version in IDE class path?  (Max OS X Leopard)

    Hi all,
I have been using NetBeans 6.1 for a while and all was well. I then installed a few plug-ins (including iReport, which I believe may be the problem). When I start the IDE I get the error "Incompatible Xalan version found in IDE class phat" and gives some link that didn't help. I have uninstalled NetBeans and reinstalled, which obviously didn't fix the problem. If anybody can help me at all, I would appreciate it very much. I really need this to run, I would hate to completely reinstall the OS to get it back going. Thanks in advance for any support.

    Hi,
I encountered this problem today and I'm also using Netbeans 6.1 on Mac OS X (10.5.4). It was definitely the iReports plugin. I found a solution here:
However, I only had to remove the file xalan.jar (and keep xalan-2.7.0.jar) from the ~/.netbeans/6.1/modules/ext directory. No changes to the config were required and the iReport plugin worked.

  • SAPUI5 runtime library version

    Hi,
We started using share project feature in eclipse to get the BSP application of Approve Requests Fiori app into an SAPUI5 eclipse project. However, we got a warning saying that the SAPUI5 runtime libraries that are installed on Eclipse have a higher version than on the server(1.12.7).
How do I check the SAPUI5 runtime library version details on my gateway system?
    Regards,
    Varun
p.s.: We are now planning to upgrade SAPUI5 using note 1989424 to version 1.20.1.

    Hi Fabian,
    as explained in SAP note 1933498, these minor updates (1.20.1 -> 1.20.x) have to be done step by step, i.e. 1.20.1 -> 1.20.4, 1.20.4 -> 1.20.6 etc.
From SAP note 1998197 (SAPUI5 Update to version 1.20.4):
The correction instruction of this note only updates the library com.sap.ui5.core since the complete SAPUI5 patch is too big to be handled by one note. So in addition to this note, the following notes must be installed:
with 15 further notes being referred to - so expect a lot of work
Anyways, 1933498 refers to all the required notes.

  • After upgrading recently I got this message: "The file 'iTunes Library.itl' cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." The music/video files are still on my MacBook Pro.  Is it because I'm still on 10.5.8?  How do I fix this?

For your reference I’m using a MacBook Pro running 10.5.8.  Several weeks ago on a Monday I received an upgrade for iTunes. When Tuesday arrived I attempted to log in so that I could download the latest freebie song(s).  I was met w/this message: “The file ‘iTunes Library.itl’ cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.”
The music/video files are still on my Mac (I’ve verified that via Searchlight), but I’m unable to open the program.  Since I know that 10.5.8 is rapidly becoming prehistoric, could it be that the newest iTunes isn’t compatible w/this particular OS?  I’d like to switch up, but understand that the newest OS won’t work on a Mac of this vintage (6 years old).  In addition, my Adobe products (all CS2) won’t work w/anything newer than 10.5.8, so I’m reluctant to go to a newer OS (I just can’t afford the Adobe upgrade $$$ @ this point).
Is there any way to get a download of an “old” iTunes version?  If there were, I’d simply refuse any future upgrades until my personal economy allows me to stop working as if it were 2006.  Please advise, somebody!

I don't know how you received an upgrade for iTunes.  You make it sound like it was sent to you.  At most your computer will tell you of a new version and you tell it to download it and install it.  However, a computer will not do this for a version which is incompatible.  iTunes 10.7 came out a few weeks ago but your computer would not notify you and even if it did, 10.7 would refuse to install on your computer.  So this part isn't making a lot of sense.
Two ways to get the 'newer version' message.  One is to open your library on a computer running a newer version, and then try to open it with an older version.  Usually happens when the library is on an external and used with multiple computers.  The second way is if you have multiple versions of itunes installed on your computer.
The newest (and likely the last) iTunes for OSX 10.5.8 is iTunes 10.6.3 which has been out for quite a while.

this just started w/ me yesterday.  I was running 10.5.3, and nothing changed - the message just appeard out of nowhere.  I update to the latest iTunes 10.6 but the message is the same.
Sounds like probably some sort of Library file corruption.
The two options available in the message box are "Download" and "Quit".  Download is useless because I'm already running the latest.  Quit is pretty useless.
I was going to just create a new Library and re-import all my music.  Of course, all my iPhone sync settings are going go have to be recreated.

I hate iTunes 11 too... and I also want to revert to previous version. But Apple seems to be so incredibly customer-friendly these days that is quite deliberately not publishing clear/simple revert instructions. I think it's a disgrace that Apple removed Cover Flow without warning people who are tempted to upgrade. Absolute disgrace. And now we're stuck with this piece of ..

  • What is this error message about, "The system extension "/Library/Frameworks/PrivateTunnel.framework/Versions/Current/Extensions/tap.ke xt" was installed improperly and cannot be used"?

It appears as a window with the following text, "System extension cannot be used.  The system extension “/Library/Frameworks/PrivateTunnel.framework/Versions/Current/Extensions/tap.ke xt” was installed improperly and cannot be used.  Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update."
I close it by clicking "Ok", and it doesn't seem to affect the system performance in any way, but it's annoying knowing that it's there.  The problem is quite old, and has persisted through several OSX updates.

  • Startup error: this version is not correctly localized.  Use the English version.

I have Itunes running on Win7 ;  its my home laptop (lenovo G770).  A PC-tech cleaned up my registry and shrank my bloated list of startup programs.  After that was done, my laptop booted better.  However, iTunes won't start: the message is "This version of iTunes has not be correctly localized for this language.  Please use the English version."
How can I fix that?  Sure I can reinstall new client (iTunes) over top of my old iTunes, but is there anything simpler?

    Hey there theozt,
It sounds like you are getting an error message saying that iTunes is not correctly localized for this language. I would use the troubleshooting in the following article, named:
iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1717
Start with this step, and work your way down the article as needed:
    Start iTunes in Safe Mode
Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interference from plug-ins or scripts not manufactured by Apple.
Hold down Shift–Control while opening iTunes. You should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
    Click Continue.
See if the issue you're experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
If you have the same issue while iTunes is in Safe Mode, proceed to the "Create a new user account" section. If you don't experience the same issue, follow these steps to remove third-party plug-ins.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • An incompatible xalan version has been detected on the ide's classpath OSX

    Hi all,
I have tried to install netbeans/java tools bundle on my mac, keep getting the same error.
an incompatible xalan version has been detected on the ide's classpath. The IDE cannot start. pLease see http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Netbeans/FaqXalanOnCP for more info.
I have had a look at this website, it says to Due to a bug in Xalan, project metadata may get corrupted when a Xalan is on the IDE classpath. For this reason, the IDE refuses to start when the broken Xalan is detected on the classpath. Please remove the Xalan under jre/lib/**.
This is quite difficult as it does not tell me the path where this file exists.
Can anyone please help me out??

That "someone" is each individual Firefox user who encounters problems like this. Mozilla stopped doing its' "web evangelism" program to help and advise websites about fixing their websites. I suppose 7 years was long enough to try fixing the web, and their time was better spent concentrating on improving Firefox.
My advice is to install an older version of Firefox Portable to use at that web site, and to continue using your current version of Firefox elsewhere. <br />
