Data analysis and SAP supplied programs etc

1.What transactions do you use for data analysis?
2.What are the techniques involved in using SAP supplied programs?
Do we prefer to write your own programs to load master data? Why?
3.What is a currency factoring technique?
4.What is output determination?

  • Vendor due date analysis and vendor aging wise analysis

Could u please explain vendor due date analysis and vendor aging wise analysis. what is the differnce between and with t code y specify

    Hi Venkatkumar,
Vendor due date analysis refers to the date on which the bill becomes due for payment based on the payment terms and base date. It gives a detailed report of all vendors whose bill have become due for payment on a particular date (Key Date).
Vendor agewise analysis refers to the grouping of amounts due to vendors for various periods, for e.g. 0-30 Days, 31-60 Days, 61-90 Days & so on.
T code for Vendor due date analysis is S_ALR_87012078 - Due Date Analysis for Open Items.
T code for Vendor agewise analysis S_ALR_87012084 - Open Items - Vendor Due Date Forecast
    Thank You.

  • Have you used SAP supplied programs to load master data?

    HI,
    SEND ME REPLAY.

    Hi
We use LSMW tool which is provided by SAP to upload the Data into SAP from legacy data
There are various other methods for Upload,
But Direct Input method is the one which SAP provided  directly to upload the data
there are some predefined programs and structures, that should be mapped and the data transfer takes automatically.
    <b>Reward points if useful</b>

  • SAP supplied programs

have u used SAP supplied programsto load master data?

    Hi Chandrika!
There is a "legacy system migration workbench", transaction code LSMW. Inside in first step, you can choose out of hundreds import methods for different objects (debitor, creditor,...).
Have a look into documentation for 'LSMW'. In general several options are used: batch, direct input, BAPI, IDOC. Batch can be pre-designed by SAP or self-recorded.
Coding can be assigned to check / enhance fields in upload.
In addition CATT (or eCATT) sessions can be usefull, too: if there is no BAPI / IDOC / direct input and batch can't handle all situations, then a CATT can help.
Own programs can use same techniques, of course. They are to be preferred, if cleaning of data should take place in SAP during upload.
Then complex rules with a lot of joins to other objects / other files have to be done, that's much easier in own programs. ("if customer hasn't bought something in last 15 month, don't create...")
LSMW looks scary in first view, but after the first try and some hours you will find it quite nice - as long as complex requirements don't force you into the deeps of LSMW.

  • Repeatly passing data to and from external program

I'm looking for some help to get me started.  I'm willing to bet
the info is here I'm just not sure what to look for and my searches
    aren't reveiling anwsers.
Background: I'm trying to take control of a device that is comunicating
through the PCI bus.  The device has a set of API dll's that I can
access through C++, but not directly in LabVIEW.  So wish to creat
a wrapper program that will give LabVIEW indirect access to the
    dlls.
Problem: I've breifly read up on CINs and Libaray call functions and
have found one underlying problem with both.  I have not found a
way to pass data back and forth between the external code and LabVIEW
once the external code is running.  I require an interactive
    conection between the two.
Any sugestions of what to search for would be greatly appreatiated, or even how to resolve my problem.
    Thank you.
    Don't get even, get odd!

If the data buffers are owned by the driver and are updated asynchronously, you should expose that buffer to LabVIEW as a handle (simple int32 for the pointer to the buffer). This can then be passed to the wrapper code and checked (implements your polling). Remember that handling tasks in LV that should run in parallel is different from C++ however - you don't create threads, instead you should simply set up independent loops.
I'm not sure what else to suggest since I don't fully understand what the API does or what the HW is doing, so feel free to post more information if you want more suggestions

  • Data Analysis and Regressions

I am looking into getting Numbers, but need it for statistic analysis, referred to data analysis in excel. Does anyone know if Numbers can us data analysis for regressions and descriptive statistics?

    ellie
Compared to Excel, Numbers is weak in statistics functions. If you are creative, you can get by with Numbers, but you will probably not be happy with Numbers as a statistics tool.

  • UNICODE and sap generated programs

    Hi folks,
we're just in a project unicode-conversion of R/3 Enterprise, now we figured out some problems:
a lot of programs which are generated from info-structures like S0* structures reside in the sap-namespace and these are local objects, not transportable.
As these reports don't have the unicode-flag, they make syntax-errors in unicode-systems. So how to deal with them, do we have to generate these sources from customizing - or is there one report from SAP how can do this job????
    kind regars,
    oliver

    Hello Oliver,
Did you get a report to fix this problem?
    regards

  • BI Content: AC Neilsen Integrated Syndicated Data Analysis

Has anyone used the BI Content for ACNeilsen Syndicated Data?  We are interested in the 2 data targets provided in BC,

  • IPad Excel Data Analysis Function

    Hello there,
I am stuck with a question no one seems able to answer- I've tried all three of our local Apple stores and they haven't been able to tell me. I also don't know any iPad users that have been able to give me an answer either.
I have been using a 5S and am very familiar with the functionality of Numbers and Pages. However, I'm a finance student and the fact of the matter is that I have to have access to Excel. I've invested YEARS and thousands of dollars into the iOS ecosystem and I'm very torn over what to do next. I'm hoping to migrate permanently from a laptop to a tablet for my productivity, which involves extremely heavy duty (5+ hours daily) word processing and spreadsheet creation. Pages handles the job just fine, but Numbers isn't really cutting it; Excel is simply the de facto standard in my line of work. I was pleased as punch when Microsoft finally launched Office for iOS. If the simple functions were all I needed, my choice would be open and shut. However, it's not. I must have access to the Solver and Data Analysis toolpaks. This is where it gets tricky. I have been told by Mac users running Excel that data analysis is not natively supported as it is on a Windows machine. Fine. However, no one I know is using full Office through iOS and no one at the Apple Store has been able to answer me definitively on this, either. Does anyone out there know first hand if the Data Analysis and Solver toolpaks are available on iOS version of Office? I would like to avoid fussing around with another tablet (quality, etc) and the fact that iOS is the only mobile operating suite where I can seemlessly blend Google, Apple and Microsoft, I am really, really, really hesitant to leave it. I am not willing to shell out the money for Office on iOS and run it on my phone (though I love that idea) just to find that it won't do data analysis (I'm all for experiments but that's a bit pricey for a student). Thanx for your time.
TL:DR, does the new Microsoft Office for iOS provide Solver and Data Analysis toolpaks in Excel?

I know what the toolpaks are (in the Mac version of Excel they're referred to as "add ins"), and again, I can find no evidence that Microsoft supports toolpaks/add-ins in Excel for iPad.
If you wish to confirm this with other users, I'd suggest you ask in the Excel for iPad forum:

  • Needed - BW data model and list of Dimensions and Fact table from BW

    Dear Friends,
Can somebody please share SAP BW DATA MODEL (LOGICAL) and share the list of DIMENSION and FACT tables exist in BW?
I don't have access to SAP or SAP BW and I am building data-mart and SAP FI/CO will be the source.
Thank you very much in advance.

    Let  me rephrase.
I got an EarlyWatch that said my dimensions on one of cube were too big.  I ran SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS in SE38 in my development box and that confirmed it.
So, I redesigned the cube, reactivated it and reloaded it.  I then ran SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS again.  The cube doesn't even show up on it.  I suspect I have to trigger something in BW to make it populate for that cube.  How do I make that happen manually?
    Thanks.

After having problems with spam block software malfunction, I was able recover the following comments to the EXPRESSIONFLOW article Object-flow Programming - Merging Dataflow and Object-Oriented Programming
    Written by Zen:
Some combination of data-flow and object-oriented programming, I think,
could make a great impact on sysytem development.  However, I see it in
    slightly different way than yours....
    Written by Matt Holt:
I don't believe NI can get object-flow programming to move far enough
into mainstream that Forbes would cover it. NI has a bit of a
stranglehold on LabVIEW with it's price as compared to say… VS2005. It
seems that by promoting it as "easy to use" that NI may have shot
    itself in the foot….
    Written by Jim Kring:
Hi Tomi, In my opinion, LabVIEW's native object-oriented programming
capabilities (LabVOOP) do not currently provide a complete tool for
allowing us to implement our OOP system designs.  Nearly all of my
system designs require distributed active objects by reference. I think
that National Instruments certainly can evolve LabVIEW to address such
requirements, but I think that it is not a real focus of NI....
If anybody else is missing their comments, I'm sorry I was unable to recover them. Please repost your comments, I appology for the inconvenience.
