How can I Map of Admin and S&D Expenses with Activity Types? See the below scenorio:
I need to add the cost to Technicion Salary,Supevisor Salary, Packing Charges and Labeling to to COGM to get COGS.
all expenses belong to one Activity Type i.e. Assembling.
Example:
Technicion Salary is Re. 30,000 Total Activity units are 15,000. So, each product tech sal is Re.2. same funtionality for all above expenses.

1. Create a Splitting Str in OKES
1.a Create a Splitting rule with in OKES and Choose the method 12 (activity Qty)
2. Add an assignment line in the Splitting Str and assign the Splitting rule to it
3. Create a Cost Ele group and assign it in SOURCE
4. Map the same cost ele group to Act Types
5. Assign the Prod cost center to this Splitting Str in OKEW
If you want brealup of act price, Then create a Cost Comp Str and assign in your Plan Version in OKEQ

I can change Image Date, but file now has 2 dates associated with it!

I have been able to successfully change the image date of the file using Timeature (I need to do this for a handful of images that have an incorrect date), as recommended elsewhere on the discussion board.
What happens now is that:
1. The metadata inspector shows the Image Date field as 9/1/02 12:00:00 PM PDT
(this is correct - I set it to be that date and time, so that is great)
2. When I click on the "EXIF" button at the bottom of the inspector (which allows me to choose what fields appear in the metadata inspector), the Image Date field is 2/1/04 9:51 AM GMT
(this is the time the photo was taken, but it is what I am trying to change)
So I now seem to have 2 image dates associated with the file.
Any thoughts on how to "clear" the one I am trying to change?

Yeah, and worse the date set by Timeature is not set in the EXIF data so if you try to export the version the date you set won't go with the JPG. Even worse, I'm pretty sure the export will have the original photo's EXIF date, if it had one. You can get export to put the version date in the file name with the right export options.
Export should really allow you to set the EXIF date on versions you export. One reason I bought Aperture was to be able to manage metadata so well that I wouldn't be beholden to it forever. Figured paying the big purchase price for Aperture was my ransom. We'll see in the next few versions if they fix this.
The two dates are 1) the date in the per-version metadata and 2) the EXIF date in the original JPG. It doesn't modify the EXIF date in the original because Aperture doesn't modify the original by convention. Not updating EXIF data in the original jpg is probably right (IF they would provide a way to export all the version meta data into EXIFs).
I've resorted to using some command line freeware jhead to set the EXIF dates before import for most of the stuff. You have to do that before the import though because once imported Aperture seems to ignore the EXIF date save for displaying it (to confuse you :-)).
Since I don't actually care that the original JPG is preserved for me it would be nice to have a utility that read the date out of the latest version meta data and set the EXIF date on the original. That would compliment Timeature (which I find really really tedious and slow).
Please correct me if I got this wrong!

If the backup and restore takes place properly, you shouldn't have any issue as millions of people have done an update from iOS 4.

Activity type field in Maintenance Order

My client requirement is that activity type (LARNT)should me mandatory in maintenance orders to capcture the cost with out fail.

Since the work center is mandatory you can make the activity type mandatory for workcenter master data record in OPFA IMG
or check in OIOPL where you can make the activity type as mandatory ,but i think it will only work once you nagivate the operation tab
or check whether user exit order at save will be useful

How to set activity type for a cost center

i was practicing the split valuation topic and for the that i was making a routing for a product so that i can have that product for inhouse production.
while using ca01(to create routing), i am facing a problem with the activity type.
when i am setting up the operation i am getting an error " activity type # is not set up for cost center 10004220 in year 2007"

hi Nandha, i am sorry but i could not do it. i am new in this. let me make my problem more clear to you.
i was creating a routing using ca01
after puttig all the details i switched to operations tab and in operation tab i put workcenter as (1111 - lathe, may be i am wrong as i told you i am just practicing).
i did not put anything on that screen and then when i pressed enter it took me to another screen with name Operation check.
here is the layout of the problem on that screen
                      std val      unit     activity type     efficiency
set up                            min        1422
machine                         min        1421
labor                              min        1420
and then curser being on the std value i am getting this error "activity type 1422 is not set up for cost center 1000 4220 in the year 2007.when i am ignoring it it is switching to next std val coloumn and the same error.

Xml conversion of data refs with dynamic type

Hi Colleagues,
I have to create an XML from a TYPE REF TO DATA, where this data is created using a dynamic internal table. By dynamic internal table i mean that the internal table is created dynamically using the class method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table.
Now the problem that i face is when i use the statement:
CALL TRANSFORMATION id
 SOURCE jsag_data = im_context_b64
 RESULT XML lv_xml
 OPTIONS data_refs = 'embedded'
 value_handling = 'move'.
to generate the XML i get a dump of type CX_XSLT_SERIALIZATION_ERROR saying "The ABAP data cannot be serialized."
I found a solution to avoid the dump by adding the additional option " TECHNICAL_TYPES = 'ignore' " to the CALL TRANSFORMATION statement, like
CALL TRANSFORMATION id
 SOURCE jsag_data = im_context_b64
 RESULT XML lv_xml
 OPTIONS data_refs = 'embedded'
 value_handling = 'move'
 TECHNICAL_TYPES = 'ignore'.
But, using this addition the dynamic type ref to data part is totally ignored from the XML generation.
If I use a specific DDIC table type to create the data, we do not face this issue and the XML is generated as desired
Does anyone have a solution to this problem as it has become a sort of blockade for our development?

I reached same problem with dynamic data references, the only solution I got is to used global DDIC types (also for table types !!) when creating data which needs to be serialized.
The options technical_types = 'ignore' doesn't solve the problem - it just instructs the parser to skip data references without global ddic type. The options value_handling = 'move' is very helpful as XML serialization is very picky about values beeing serialized.
Here is summary of my observations:
- Global DDIC type has to be associated with data reference, otherwise only technical type is there and this is not supported (you can use OPTIONS TECHNICAL_TYPES = u2018IGNOREu2019 but this will just skip the data to be serialized to XML) u2026
- The above means that if you are serializing data reference to table then you have to have also global DDIC type for the table-type !! Unfortunatelly there is no default table type available for transparent tables u2026. They are treated as structures not as table-types u2026 thus:
- CREATE DATA lr_data TYPE <global_ddic_structure> - can be serialized
- CREATE DATA lr_data TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF <global_ddic_structure> - cannot be serialized
- CREATE DATA lr_data TYPE <global_ddic_table_type> - can be serialized
- !! Unfortunatelly !! CREATE DATA lr_data TYPE <type_pool_ddic_structure/ type_pool_table_type> - also cannot be serialized u2013 this is pitty u2026 this should be supported u2026.

Parsing the data from and xml type field

Hi - I have registered a schema and inserted arecord into the table with the xml type column. Now I want to parse the data from the xmltype field into a relational table. I have been using the following select statement to accomplish this - and it does work if there is data in all the selected fields but when the filed is null then the whole select statement fails and brings back 'no rows returned'.If the value is null I want the select statment to return null. please give any ideas.

For this IDOC,I'm populating the below Segment's data.

Problem: In SAP, IDOC's are processing successfully with status 53 and updating the tables : KONH,KONP successfully.
But Table A957 which is passing against KOTABNR field is not pupulating with the Materials passing.
Can anyone please guide me why the Materials are not populating in the table : A957.

All the key fields in A957 should be concated properly while populating VAKEY. (Leading zeros must be prefixed to the material)

Data association with transformation causes ORABPEL-75003

Hi,
I have a BPM process (11g) with a Service task.
I have configured a data association using a transformation for the output.
When I run the process I get this error:
Exception: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: ORABPEL-75003
Runtime error in XML Transformation.
Runtime error in transformation. XSL filename is xsl/personenCollection_to_resultaatProcDO.xsl. Source node name is personenCollection
The transformation file or source nodes may be incorrect.
Verify that the XSL file is correct and source inputs are of correct type as used in XSL file.
I am confused by this PrivilegedActionException, which suggests some security problem, while the error text suggests there might be a problem with my XSLT.
Anyone any idea where to look?
I can not see XML payloads in Fusion Middleware Control 11g...

Although I have not yet been able to prove it, I think that the problem is in the filename of the XSL file.
I've had the same issue if my filename:
1. Contained an ampersand (&)
2. Contained more than 1 underscore (_)
I thnk that the length of the filename may also be an issue...
This doesn't seem to be a problem in SOA, only BPM.

CATS Problem with Activity types, it takes the first 6 digits of PERNR

Hello Gurus!
I have configured cats and maintained infotype 0315. When i go to CAT2, i dont see any default values on the screen from 315. When i try to call the cost center and activity type,. enter the times and hit enter, it hits an error saying: Activity type 001131is invalid for 00113199. It doesnt speak abt the activity type i assigned, it probably takes the first 6 digits of personal number as the activity type and throws an error.
Please help me what to do with this... its very urgent..

Which version of SAP are u using. I don't see any message with your description in the message class.
I think the values on CATS are only defaulted when u give the WBS element and hrs and press ENTER. Try this and u should be able to get the values defaulted from 315 assuming you have set the default values in CAC1 and also please check the settings in the Initial screen of CAT2 if any other values are getting defaulted in Persons tab and also check ur activity type has the valid Controlling area.
