Data base app?

Does anyone know of an easy to use iPad App for a very simple data base that will allow insertion of photos? I want to create a searchable inventory

Both has its own advanteages and disadvantages I think.
First of all we use the connection pooling mechanism.
In all our applications we open one connection for an entire reqeust and pass the connection object along.

I am not familiar with any of those apps. However, to do what you are describing (i.e. enter and edit data either on the handheld or on your desktop) requires an application which has both a handheld and a companion desktop application which communicate with each other.
Consider products from SplashData, such as SplashShopper. Yeah, the name says "shopper", but it is a great list organizer, and comes with a desktop application.

If you want to create and use true databases, you must use an other app dedicated to this feature.
There is a powerful database tool in LibreOffice but it requires a serious learn curve.
There are numerous available apps starting from Bentoy to FileMaker or 4th Dimension.

Best Practice for SAP PI installation to share Data Base server with other

Hi All,
We are going for PI three tire installation but now I need some best practice document for PI installation should share Data base with other Non-SAP Application or not. I never see SAP PI install on Data base server which has other Application sharing. I do not know what is best practice but I am sure sharing data base server with other non-sap application doesnu2019t look good means not clean architecture, so I need some SAP document for best practice to get it approve from management. If somebody has any document link please let me know.

You should not mix different apps into one database.
If you have a standard database license provided by SAP, then this is not allowed. See these sap notes for details:

Get data from a Data Base in MySQL

Hi guys,
I'm developing an app for my exam at school. In this app I need to query my Data Base to get my data and to create a table.
The purpose of my app is to create a list of songs that a DJ has played during a concert and automatically create a table with the song titles, artist name and date of the concert. All of these information are already stored in the Data Base.
I created an interface in Xcode where the user types in the DJ name and the date. I want to query the Data Base with these information and create a table that can be view directly on the iPhone. I think that I can send the text contained in the text field to a PHP page and then the PHP page does the query.
Is it possible doing this? Can you help me with the code?

Thanks for the reply, I found the problem, i was returning no.sentDate in the form YYYY-MM-DD and method getTime doesn't like so it was returning null, so what I have done was cast(no.sentDate as datetime) and also store the difference of the dates as a long variable as I need the difference between the dates not the day of the month.
My code now looks like this:

Data base in microsoft office is damaged andI can't rebuild it. suggestions?

The data base for Microsoft Office 2008 has been damaged. I've tried twice to rebuild the data base, but it stalls after 2 hours and I'm forced to cancel. Very frustrating. The Office tools is a nice tool, but it's not working. I can use Word, Excel and PP but Entourage will not open at all. I've removed office and reinstalled and downloaded all of the updates. I still get the same message. If I have to start over, so be it, but I'm not sure how to completely remove Office. I removed it using Microsoft tools. (Positive reinforcement that I will always use Macs!) Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

use time machine (if you have it on before all the errors in office) to restore the working files. if not you can use cleanmymac to remove all microsoft office program files and then reinstall office. Back up all your data before useing cleanmymac. it is a good app but it can clean too much some times if you do use clean my mac, open clean my mac click applications tab drag office apps from finder>applications not the dock and microsoft update as well. then click remove. it will remove all files that go with office (It wont remove Your document files) her is a link to a free trial of clean my mac http://macpaw.com/cleanmymac

Several points that can help more:
1. If you are working with Dot.Net, then I highly recommend read the first link that you got! This is nice and simple coding. Another option is this link which is even better in my opinion:

2. As i mention above both link use the column's type image. There are several other option of working with Files. In most of my applications architecture I find that it is better to use a column which let us use any type of file and not an image column.
In choosing the right column's type for your needs basically your fist question should be if if you want to store your data inside relational database environment or outside relational environment. It is a good idea to look for blogs on this issue. Next
if you chose to store your data inside then you need to chose the right column type according to your server version. I highly recommend to look for blogs on the differences between those column's types: IMAGE,

One application module with 3 differente data base connections

I have 3 different servers for data base connections. The main is "sys", the second "stanby" and the third: "bdbatch". In the old application,that i m re programating, uses a properties to read the connection. If the main is not available then goes to the stanby an then to the third. With this new application with adf i have to do the same. So how can i configure the application module to do this? do i have to make extra code? or just configure an xml file??

i faced this problem before in Dynamic JDBC Credentials topic solution provided by Steve Muench (to make your AM Databse Connection to be dynamic as you need).

Hello everyone -
Since I last posted an interesting update happened. I tested my Flex application again, it is calling a Jetty Server that returns a JSON object, in different BROWSERS. I disabled HTTPS for now, and the crossdomain.xml policy file is wide open for testing (ie. allowing every request to return data). So the app accessing the data using HTTP only. Browsers - IE, Opera, Firefox and Chrome. Each browser contained the SAME application, revision of the Flash Player (10.3.183.10 debugger for firefox, chrome, opera, safari PC; 11.0.1.129 consumer version in IE9,) take a look at the screen shot (safari not shown although the result was the same as IE and chrome)
Note that Opera and Firefox returned successful values (i.e. successful JSON objects) using the same code generated from the Data Services Wizard. Chrome, IE and, Safari failed with an Internal error. So I am left wondering - WHY? Is it something with the Flash Player? the Browsers? the Flex SDK? Any thoughts are appreciated. Again, the code is found in the original thread above.

Inconsistency in Data Replication to the Data Base MEREP_207 (SAP Mobile)

I have the following problem in WAS 7.00 SP16 (Usage type Mobile Infrastructure):
Scanario: Backend driven replication (T51, Server Driven), SyncBO = Reservation
Case A:
When modifying data in the backend with transaction MB22, in some cases (Replicated database is empty for that SyncBO), all the items (010) are generated in the data base MEREP_207 which PARENT_SYNC_KEY = '00000000 all the items with the same TOP = '00000000')
Case B:
When modifying in the backend with the transaction data with MB22, hundreds of records (items) are generated in the data base MEREP_207,
with the same PARENT_SYNC_KEY, but with a different R3KEY (items with the same header). R3KEY here represents the R3KEY of the TOP plus a sequence.
No one of the SAP Notes I searched applies to the current version of WAS.

it seems you key filed has the same value always or you do not have a key field - what I do not get if you talk about Notes - are you using a standard SAP Mobile App or is you mobile AP custom build?
Well, if I get it right you end up with just one dataset instead of 100 and always the last one overwrites the one before (cause SyncKey is the same)?
In that case, please check you data model for KeyFields and check that these are different. What do you do in the getlist and getdetail handlers?

The path where the details are stored is
I don’t know the reason behind this update in the registry, how can I remove the entry from the registry using java code.
Requirement:
The password should not be updated in the registry , how can I avoid this?

Thank you for your message.
Our application's feature set is defined by what we store in a table in the DB. Eg: 1 means premium version, 2 means basic version etc. The app is written and tested, and prior to shipment we only change this value.
It would take us too long to change the basic logic. One alternate we thought is to encrypt this number by multiplying it with a large prime.
Is there some other way in which we can protect the user name / password ?

Please see I took the this example from national instrument example directory C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\examples\database but I add some objects My problems are : 1- Every one can insert to epos.mdb and do changes 2- I want if I insert same number in column 1 , massage appeared that say this number is in data base , and don't saved it , if this number doesn't exist then application will saved it How can I do that? thanks

the exemple just cover the creation of a table, but not the insert record.
I do not have the database add on but I am using a database not connected yet to Labview.
To answer your question you should first use create table with the database app(like access: simpler)
next find the function vi to (findRecord(like query) and Numberof record and insert record.

Since Apple's data base has been accessed by burglars, why can't Apple track serial numbers?

If Apple's data base is accessed by people like this, why can't the same data base be used to track ownership? MOst Apple users sign on to itunes and share their system information. Would it not make sense to share the serial numbers with a reporting system?
If I call into the local Apple store, will I receive any support in locating my systems or will they want to sell me an app to track them?
The data is available for Apple to promote an independent recovery sytem...why don't they? Is there no money in it?

why can't the local Apple store access the national data base and find out where it was being serviced.
They can do that now, if the system is at an authorized service center. It's highly unlikely that a stolen system would just happen to have been checked into a service center at the time you happen to look, though. I also doubt that Apple would provide that information to you just on your request.
As to the report you are referencing, is it coinicidence homes with multiple Apple systems were targeted? In my neighborhood, only homes with more than two Imacs were hit...and only Apple systems were taken.
Such information would not be available to any burglar, nor has there been even a rumor that Apple's internal customer databases have every been compromised. So yes, it was either coincidence or the burglars casing the premises, not at all hard to do. It's even often possible by doing a scan of someone's WiFi network; few people have theirs adequately secured.
Apple is not law enforcement. It's not their job to try and track stolen property; that's the job for the police. There's nothing further to be said.

Active Data Guard-How to configure Auxiliary Data Base's Listener.

I am stuck in creating listener/tnsnames for auxiliary database as the problem happens because of the auxiliary instance has just started. It is now in NOMOUNT stage. The instance registration with the listener is performed by PMON process and to start the PMON process database need to be in mount stage. So, before the instance registration by PMON with the listener there is actually noting to register and hence the instance is BLOCKED.

The "auxiliary" is, I presume, actually a physical standby.
If so why is it in NOMOUNT? Why don't you start it?
alter database recover managed standby database cancel;
alter database open read only;
