DATA CONNECTION TO ACCESS ?

I have just upgraded to Acrobat Pro 9 from v.7 pro.
I'm sort of new at this, mostly with data binding. I must be missing something, I'm having trouble creating a new connection to my Access 03 database.
So far, these are the steps I've taken:
File>New Data Connection
Name New Data Connection: CLAIMS
Get Data Description From: OLEDB Database
Connection String:
Build...
Provider; Select the data you want to connect to: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers
Next»
Specify the source of data
Use data source name: MS Access Database
OK, now how do I specify where to get the db?
Previously, I was able to browse & select the file.
My database location address:
D:\101 BILLING\FORMS\ADOBE\CLAIMS.MDB
(this is not on a server - it is just on a partition)
I know it's staring at me right in the face - but I just don't see it.

The file is choosen when you set up the DSN connection in Windows (outside of Designer).

Who ever can help me!
I am trying to make a data connection on my pdf form using "Adobe Live Cycle designer 7.0" to my access database.
I already did the conncetion...the problem here is that once the submit button is clicked i don't have any returned data on my database access...
I don't know if i am clear!!

Ok That is good .....did you bind the fields on your form to the fields in the data connection?
This is difficult to debug without having the DB and the form to look at.

SJT Connect to Access DB to present Data within a Form

Faily new to this product Live Cycle Designer 8.0. I have a large Access DB that identifies asset by Department. An Access Query links about 4 different tables to produce a detailed asset form/report. I would like to recreate this form report using the asset IDs unique key field which links all tables in a PDF form.
1. I would like to present a form with what is in the database today.
2. Have to receipent of the form review to content and make changes.
3. Each change in the form needs to be highlighted in some way to identify what fields changed.
4. The form would be emailed back to me.
5. I would drop all field not hightlighted (no changes) and process only those field that have changed.
Issue. In creating the form some departments have more asset than others requiring the form to be able expand based on the number of assets.
I would like to produce seperates PDF based on the department automatically.
I need some way to page through this document to a specific asset and print to PDF that departements information .
Any and all guidance is welcomed.

Try not to access or connect to FTP, it usually download the data since you accessing FTP, try to look for other ports like http to access the database.

Error while crawling LOB contents. ( Access denied by Business Data Connectivity. )

Hi,
When I execute Incremental or Full Crawl I get 17000 error and only 1 success.
The error is:
Error while crawling LOB contents. ( Access denied by Business Data Connectivity. )
I went to Central Admin > Security > Specify Web application Policy > Search for the service account for crawl and it's "svc_SPSearch"
I went to Central Admin > Application Management > Manage Service Application > BDC Service > I select all the affected external sources > then Set Object Permission in ribbon > Added "svc_SPSearch" with execute rights > then
kick incremental crawl...
After this I still get 17000 error, 1 success.. Still an error.
I am not sure how the crawler's trust to FAST infrastructure works.

I have the same issue.
I have Configured the BDC Service application using SQL external content. The connection was successful and I am able to see the external content in the List "BDC Demo" . But when I search in the BDC Demo site it gives nothing.
So I checked in the crawl logs and identified that it shows " 1 " under error. to further drill down the issue , I went to click on "1" and see the error message : Error while crawling LOB contents SharePoint 2013 .
I have created an external DB named BCSDemo_DB for which I have granted my search Service account read& write permission.
I have added the same account under administrators for both secure store and BCS service applications.
I have done index reset , done a full crawl but the error still occurs.
Can someone please advise if I am missing something.

Hi im trying to view a simple report , this report have some parameters from a MS Access database.I configure everything, The ODBCJDBC bridge, the dns System on Windows, etc... and the problem its like this, I connect the database, but the schema its empty , i cant map, the dinamic parameters of my report, with my access database.I have this errors : at same time 1. Hi im trying to view a simple report , this report have some parameters from a MS Access database.
I configure everything, The ODBCJDBC bridge, the dns System on Windows, etc...

There are some other solutions possible.
1. Get another driver. The only one known is java only so it wont crash. But is not not free.
2. Use a proxy driver. That means that another app actually does the database work. If it crashes you just start it again (which you can do in your main code.) That way it won't take down your server. There are commercial jdbc drivers that claim MS Access but are are really just proxy implementations as an option in this area.

Can't connect to Access 2007 data with password using OLEDB

I am seeing the below error when trying to Connect to Access 2007 with password using Crystal XI or Crystal 2008, when using the OLEDB to connection Access data.

Source: DAO.Workspace
Description: Unrecognised database format 'path to database\crs project database.aaadb
Get though when I use Access 2007 without password setup.

Crystal can only use the top level password. If you have a system password I don't believe that will work, never has.

Access denied by Business Data Connectivity when trying to add myself to the BDC Metadata Store

Originally I was trying to create a ECT in SharePoint Designer 2010, on the production server, and every attempt fails with the error "Access denied by Business Data Connector" and I found the post "Deploying a BDC Model project to SharePoint 2010"
which suggests that I may not have rights to the BCD Metadata Store: "It seems that an account are you using to deploy solution doesn't have sufficient permission in the BDC Metadata Store."
So I tried to set myself (individual windows user) up to have rights via: "Central Administration->Application Management->Manage Service Application->Business Data Connectivity Service->Click Set Metada Store Permission
on the ribbon->Set Permission you need and tick the checkbox "Propagate permission to all"; and pressing the OK button an error dialog displays stating Access denied by Business Data Connectivity.
What should I check next?

I'm in a situation similar to MarkDavisHQ's. I was able to get the Metadata Store working by:
Making the BDC app pool identity a local administrator (before that, I was seeing lots of WcfSendRequeust like this in the logs - but I'm still not sure this escalation was necessary.   I have since removed the app pool identity from local administrators

Starting the (SharePoint) Claims to Windows Token Service
Can anyone else confirm whether or not local admin privileges are required?

i had same issue some years back. sure my operator was different from yours. unfortunatly some of these 3rd party products dont spend much effort on a mac. My one had half a dozent programs, for each version of OSX one. When i called them up the gave me the correct version which worked. You may have not the right one. May try first the MAC and ensure it works fine without the card and that software.

E5 Packet data connection/access point

I was just wondering what this is.
I think I don't need it being as I don't have a "Data Package" set up with AT&T...am I right?
If I'm wrong, what to do next.

This would be needed for internet access and mms usage on your phone. Internett access only if you're thinking about surfing on the network. Wlan does not require any data packet connection over the phone network but will be saved as an access point though.
You will also need a packet data connection for using A-gps as it needs a few kb to locate the phone through the network.
But you can use the gps without agps.
So if you don't plan on browsing internett on the phone network, you don't need a packet data connection for that/ acces point.
If you don't need to send mms, you don't need one for that either, but those acces points are separeted from each others.
If you can not send mms, but you want to, you will probably be able to order the settings (accesspoint) from your providers web page. It will usually be in form of a text message sent to your phone. Same for the other access points.

A Packet data connection will pretty much be an access point for internet/mms/wap over your network.
Using you wlan will be installed as a access point too, but that will of course be free (or just cost what you pay to have your internett).

Connecting to Sharepoint Online Access Web Tables - error - The business data connectivity metadata sore is currently unavailable

I have a SharePoint Online E3 site kbhp2-public.SharePoint dot com on which I have created an Access Web App. Now, I need to use an External Content Type to access the underlying database tables, which I understand to be stored somewhere
in Azure. The ID of the server is bxh1ixb9lo.database.windows.net and the ID of the database is db_9857fa7d_4bf1_4558_be8c_24543b041e2.
I have done the following so far:
Set Metadata Store Permissions
Created Secure Store credentials Mapping
But when I opened the SharePoint site in SharePoint Designer and clicked on External Content Types, I get the Message:
The business data connectivity metadata store is currently unavailable.
Any guidance you can give me will be greatly appreciated

Problem of security using ADO from Labview to connect to Access 2000 Data Base

I have a problem using ADO from Labview to connect to Access 2000 Data Base.
First I open a ADO_DB_Engine and create a Workspace as an ODBCDirect. After I execute the open_data_base using the workspace. Here you can specify the parameter connect with /type of connection / user / password.
The problem is the following:
Although you configure a password for the Administrator user in Access, you can read/writte to data base from Labview using ADO without any security and without putting the user and password in the parameter connect. I need to access with security to data base using users and permissions but it seems that the parameter connect does not operate.

you will be able to access to the database with security using the provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0. With this provider you have to use the path and the name of the database file c:\.....\mdb file. From this way the problem is solved. (SEE SAMPLE_ADO_W2_JET.VI).
BD5.mdb have the following administrator user: user:jose / passwordepe (Protegida5.mdw)
The problem is when you want to
use ODBC and DSN. The name of this ODBC Provider is MSDASQL;. If you use this type of connection you can not enter to the database I attach you.
This database has a new administrator owner. I deleted the default administrator. If you support the default administrator you can connect to database by ODBC / DSN but the security disappear because you can always enter to database with any password, user o PC.
FINALLY I HAVE 3 QUESTIONS FOR Application Engineers of National Instruments or someone who knows these subjects before deciding the best way to connect locally o remotely with security to Access from Labview:
1.- Is it possible to enter to Database BD5.mdb from ODBC and DSN with this owner?
2.- I want to connect remotely to Access database too. Is it possible to use Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 using the path (.mdb file) without DSN?
3. Which is the optimal Provider for Microsoft Access?

"Access denied by Business Data Connectivity" on trying to connect to SQL server for creating external content type

I was trying to create external client type but whenever I try to connect to Database server it is showing me error"Access denied by Business Data Connectivity". I have given the Secure Store Target Application ID coorectly and it is setup coorectly.
In BDC service application I have given myself all the permissions( edit,execute,Selectable in clients,Set Permissions) through set metadata store permission option in it.
Please suggest what other reason can be there for the error.

If you have given your account all permissions through setting metadata store permission, the issue should be resolved.
For a better trouble shooting , I suggest you do as the followings:
1. Assign administrators to a Business Data Connectivity service application

hi there.....I just installed hyperion reporting and analyis on my laptop.
When I opend the Webanalysis all the options i.e
File>new,open,save etc.. are greyed out for me..........
