Data connectivity failure?
Its been at minimum two months since i last had a reliable data connection. My troubles began after the last software update was pushed, my data connection sporadically shuts on and off (drives me crazy). After several attempts to fix the issue with IT support, without any success, i was finally informed today that the last Android update has impacted all Droid phones data connectivity. The issue has been identified by Google and Verizon is also aware, however, there is no ETA on a new update from Google that will address the issue. I don't know how many of you out there are impacted, but does it seem fair to you to continue to pay for a data plan that is not functioning correctly? I think NOT! The same question was made to the Tech Rep i spoke to today. I'm still waiting for a call back with an answer to the question. If you are having the same issue, raise the question and demand a credit!
Good luck. I can't wait for my contract to be over and leave this horrid company forever.

Now before anyone points out the obvious: my username and password are correct. I've already gone through changing them so I know they are.
Additionally, I've pretty much tried EVERYTHING I've read online, from messing with "terminal" (and subsequently the FTP and STFP options) to changing the sharing options and turning on file sharing/remote management as well as just turning off my Firewall completely.
Now I've used Filezilla before when I first published my site and everything worked fine. My site is published through Wordpress so most of my editing was done through simply logging into my "wp-login." I recently changed the theme and in order to change the header image in that theme I have to do it through my "wp-content" folder, which means I need to use Filezilla. I feel like a complete moron right now considering I've had my site for about a year and can't even doing something this simple.
I've read that the newer version of Lion/Mountain Lion don't support automatice FTP anymore, which (as I mentioned prior) I attempted to fix through Terminal. However, nothing I do seem to do works.
Can someone walk me through fixing this? And I do mean 'walk me through'. I'm not a tech-savvy nerd who knows all the lingo, I just know the basics so sorry if my ignorance offends you.
HELP!!First be sure login and password are OK. Sometimes the address starts wit "http://..." and sometime starts with "ftp://...". Try both normal FTP access and Scure FTP access (SFTP). At the end, contact the site's provider.

I'm having strange random connection failures. Are there ineffieciency in my config?
I've been having strange, random connection failures and I'm trying to eliminate possible causes.
What happens is while I'm browsing on the net over wifi, a link will at random not connect to the site, but instead fault to the ISP error page. It happens with highly reliable sites like google, or ebay, or whatever. If I direct connect to the cable modem, the problem site is immediately available.
I'm sitting <6 feet from a 871W router (with antenna). There's one router in my building and others are at my neighbors.
Below is the conf file. Just to imagine how rediculious this problem is, here's a screen shot from a web page. This shows a web page I visited, and after clicking on a link (an embedded youtube video), the error showed up within the page itself.
Why would only some URLs fail to connect? Is there inefficiencies in my config?

endI removed the ip router 0 0 to no great effect, which I consider to be a win.
I'm guessing that since overload is what--I understand--translates the one outside to the many inside IPs, that the suggestion to have only one overload configured means I should combine the two ip ranges into one.
I deleted 10.0.0.0 network. Changed the bridge references to 1 and vlan references to 1. Now wifi and ethernet should all be using the same internal network? That's the idea, right? Any more fat?

While both volumes appear in each Mac's Finder, I get connection failures each way. "The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "afp://10.0.1.4" could not be read or written. (Error code -36).
I took the laptop into a Mac dealer and was able to establish a connection.
The computers are a powerbook G4 and an iMac dual core 2, both with OS 10.5.6. The iMac is connected via ethernet and the pb by AE.No problem
These would most likely be the folders you see
/Developer
/Library <---------This one
/opt
/System <---------This one
/Users
/Applications
the marked folders you see are most likely to have caused this, sorry mate but im not THAT familiar with the OS files system to point you out a more specific folder.
Theoretical:
You should be able to restore these folder without any issues
/Developer
/opt
/Users
/Applications
only problem is that i dont know if these last folders have any dependencies in the /System or /Library folder, if they do something will go wrong down the track.
You could try only omitting the /System and /Library folder and see what happens, you might be fine or you might get some more funny issues to post here :P -
Built in iSight not working - connection failure notice
Brand new intel iMac 20" with built in iSight.
Worked great in May. Just tried using the isight and continue to get an error message after trying to start a video chat - states I didn't accept the request for chat - or tells the other person they didn't accept when that is not the case.
It then says Connection failure do you want to send report to Apple?
See report below:
This is a computer i just bought for my folks so we can video chat and after only one use in May it hasn't worked since. I am using a G5 tower that is working with other ichat/ video connections with an isight...
Any advice would be great - thanks!!!

Data source for this data connection isn't registered for Power BI
Hi, I am getting this error when I set Schedule Data Refresh to refresh data from db. How do I register my connection to the data source? Is this a fix on SQL server or Power BI?

Thanks for your help.I'm running into the same issue, I did configure the Gateway and then the data source in Power Bi.
When I go to the Power BI Admin Center and click on "Test Connection" it seems to be working. But when I refresh the data from Power BI it doesn't work. Now if I edit the spreadsheet in excel and refresh the data in PowerPivot then it works. So
not sure why the solution doesn't refresh from the automated service in Power BI without this useless error.
Thanks
Fabian

HTTP 200 response - Connection Failure - CF10 local Tomcat
Hello,
I am invoking a webService, FirstData to be exact. It's SSL. I am invoking properly, and FirstData is seeing my request as valid and successful, but the response comes back with a 200 and the filecontent is "Connection Failure". No SOAP structure in the response. I found that this was a bug with CF8 which I'd expect to be cleared up in CF10. Is there a workaround? I've attempted passing headers in various ways but it continues to fail.

How can I set up a data connection to an Oracle DB
Hi,
I want to set up a data connection to an Oracle DB.
I know the first step is to go to New data connection, then select OLEDB database and then I need to create a connection string. Well from now on I am lost. What are the next steps I need to take? Does anyone has an exampleYour iMac with ARD... this is the bona fide, ($300/$500) "Remote Desktop.app" admin install, or do you mean that you have ARD "Remote Management" access enabled or have tried to control Vista with Microsoft's similarly-named "[Remote Desktop Connection|http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/remote-desktop/default.mspx]" app? (Just making sure—it would be a very different conversation otherwise.)
Remote Desktop does lots of fancy stuff, but for the Observe and Control mechanisms it behaves as a plain-jane VNC client. It can connect to any standards-compliant VNC server. You should, for example, be able to run a different VNC client on your Mac and have a similar success/failure experience; perhaps the excelent [Chicken of the VNC|http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc>. If you have the same failures, we'll still help, but ARD is obviously not the culprit. In any case, the usual suspects for windows VNC servers include UltraVNC, realVNC \[paid ver. required for vista\], and TightVNC. They all have caviats, but they're fairly well documented. Vista itself throws VNC under the bus "in favor of security" but again, you'll find lots of users in the same boat; unable to get the VNC server working on the Vista side. Your statement that you "couldn't even see the machines connected to it to get the IP" was bit confusing though, as devices don't need to be running a VNC server to at least show up in a scan (IP printers should appear, for example). Are you sure they're on the same subnet of the same lan/being otherwise scanned for correctly; or if remote, are you sure the remote Vista laptop is directly addressable with NAT from the web?
Let us know. Good luck. Joel -
Cannot obtain a Data Connection in 11g for Visual Studio 2008
I click on "Server Explorer" and select "Add Connection", after entering "Data Source Name:" ORCL, i select "Use specific user and password:\", I enter HR with password as 12, "Role" remains "Default" after clicking "Test Connection" I get this error: "ORA-12569 TNS:packet checksum failure " my tnsnames.ora file looks like this: "ORCL =

How do I obtain a Data Connection?You don't know what you are talking about fellow:
Here's my registry which the installer created:

Again, I did NOT put that in my registry, the installer did!
here's the original tnsnames.org file:

No I don't have a network DB. I thought you could use Oracle as you do ".mdb" connections in MS Access
I have said before, I know nothing about Oracle, but I'm trying to see if I want to learn it or stay with what I already have.
I have to obtain a "Data Connection" before I can setup the Database; at lease that is in every example I have seen in the websites. Before you can setup a TABLE you have to have a "Data Connection"!!!

Java.io.IOException: Connection failure with 500
Hi
When i am trying to establish connection from applet to servlet using URLConnection..
It is giving me java.io.ioexception Connection failure with 500.
Can anybody let me know why and how to solve this.
Thanks&Regards,
SubbaError code 500 is "Internal Server Error." Unfortunately this could be loads of things. :-(
What servlet / web-server are you using?
Some general pointers.....
- Check your web-server access log and see if the request is received. (I'd expect so as you're getting a 500 error)
- Check your servlet log & see if it is init-ing correctly.
- I always write a simple doGet() method in my servlets so that I can check whether the servlet is alive or not...
public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException {
PrintWriter out = new PrintWriter (response.getOutputStream());
out.println("<html>");
out.println("<head><title>ObjectServlet</title></head>");
out.println("<body>doGet() called: "+new java.util.Date());
out.println("</body></html>");
out.close();
Logger.log(this, "doGet", Logger.TRACE, Logger.TRACE_OUT);
Then repost if you're still stuck. -
Can we set an Alert for JDBC Connection Failures ?
Hi friends ,
Can we set an alert for JDBC Connection failure as mail as well as Alert ?
I am using JDBC Sender adapter to read the data from sql server table.
I am not using BPM .
I want to set an alert and mail to respective person when JDBC Connection failure .
If XI trying to read a database if connection failure or connection properties lost it won't come ti Integration engine itself right ?
I assume as we have to set alert at system level .
Can you please give me the step by step details to set this kind of alerts ?
Expecting your reply asap .
Best Regards.,
V.RangarajanRenga rajan,
This is what I tried to explain in yuor previous threads.
>>>If XI trying to read a database if connection failure or connection properties lost it won't come ti Integration engine itself right ?
In such cases, you will get <b>an error at adapter level</b> and the msg wont come into IE.
>>>I assume as we have to set alert at system level .
If you are above SP 14 in XI3.0, then you can raise alerts for adapter errors also.
No special config required for this.
To understand this, give it a try and you will get the concept.

Facebook / TwitterTo combat the issue, enable an HLB port on your FE servers (or any other pool you are using HLB on) and configure the health checks for the load balancer to use that port instead of the port used for TLS traffic.
Start by configuring the pool in Topology Builder, right click the pool, and choose Edit Properties>General. Place a check in the “Enable Hardware Load Balancer monitoring port” and specify a port.

Excel Table with SharePoint Data Connection - Manual Text Entry Misaligned After Refresh
Greetings!
I have an Excel 2010 workbook that includes a table linked to my SharePoint 2013 site by a data connection. The SharePoint list feeds the table standard information that's managed on the SharePoint site, but I need the user of the Excel workbook to be able
to enter text manually in the workbook to associate local information with the line-items coming from the SharePoint list. To do this, I've added extra columns to the end of the table.
The user can enter information in the appropriate cells in the "extra" columns at the end of the table, but when I refresh the data connection, the addition of a new list item on the SharePoint side results in the user's manually entered text getting
out of alignment with the row it's supposed to be associated with.
Example
Column 1(SP)
Column 2(Extra)
Row 1
Item 1
Row 2
Item 2
Text entered for Item 2
Row 3
Item 3
Then, if I add a new item to the list in SharePoint, for example, something that would appear between the original items 1 & 2, after refreshing the table, I get the following:
Column 1(SP)
Column 2(Extra)
Row 1
Item 1
Row 2
New Item 1.5
Text entered for Item 2
Row 3
Item 2
Row 4
Item 3
The table's data connection is set to insert rows for new items, and I could swear I had this working properly once upon a time...but I can't seem to make it work now.
Any thoughts on what would cause this?
Thanks in advance!Hi Eric,
>>but it seems that by extending the table itself to encompass both the SharePoint-sourced columns and the additional columns, that an association would be created between all columns for a given row in the table, no?<<
From my understanding, the answer is no.
Another example:
I have an additional column named "Column2" and an external column named "ID" (see "before").
After I add a new record and refresh this table, Excel will keep the last row in "column2" and add an empty cell in the second last row. (See "After")
If I delete the eighth data and refresh this table, Excel will still keep the last row and remove the last second cell.
In your case, if you insert a new record in the middle of the data and refresh this table, Excel will synchronized the external data and add a new cell in the additional column in the second last row.
From my understanding, Excel will always change the second last row to suit for deleting or adding record.
Hope this helps.
