"Data Connectivity Tutorial: Connecting to Object Collections" Problem

Post Author: Brian Wildrick
CA Forum: Data Connectivity and SQL
Using VS2005, followed the directions to the letter.  On page 363, "Connecting a Report to the Stock Object" > "To connect a Crystal report to the Stock object" > 6. Expand the Stock class to view a selectable sub node - I can't actually expand out the object/source to show it's public properties for use in the report.  Any suggestions?

  • My iPad is disabled and won't connect to iTunes on any computer; I went to my iCloud and removed the iPad so it will erase all data when the iPad is connected to the internet (the original problem was a restrictions passcode we forgot)

Here is the order of what I did to my iPad:
    1.  A restrictions passcode was put on and we couldn't remember it.  Despite numerous attempts at righting this, I couldn't. The iPad would not sync with any iTunes on any computer, Mac or PC.
    2.  I put a, 'use passcode after one minute' passcode on it and deliberately put in 10 wrong passcodes so it would disable the iPad.  Now it still will not connect to any iTunes.
    3.  I connected to my iCloud account and removed the iPad from the cloud; it says it will erase all iPad data when it connects to the internet.  I am fine with that, I need to know what to do now, though. iPad says, 'Connect to iTunes,' but it won't.  Please help this amateur of all amateurs!!

  • Ever since i forgot my apple id password and changed to a new one, I am continually being asked to enter my iCloud password. It then says that this mac can't connect to iCloud because of a problem with "my username". nothing I do in in preferences helps.

You have to sign out completely in System Preference>iCloud (click 'Sign out') on a Mac, or Settings>iCloud on an iOS device (click 'Delete account' - this will not delete the account from the server). Then sign in with the new password.
Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac or device when you sign out but will reappear when you sign back in.

  • Regarding Short Dump While loading data from DB Connect

    Dear All,
We are having an issue of getting short dump while loading data from DB Connect to BW. We were able to load the data into BW Dev using the same data source without any problem. Whereas in Production, I am getting the following error:
    Runtime Error          PERFORM_CONFLICT_TAB_TYPE
    Except.                   CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE
What could be the reason for the error that I am getting

  • Can't load data using DB Connect

I'm trying to use DB connect to load data from an external source database into SAP BW.  Both databases are MSSQL.  I've followed the steps in the document, "Transferring Data with DB Connect".  The table in the source system has all CAPS for the table and the fields. I can see the data in the BW system via screen "DB Connect: Display of data from the database system".  However, when I create an info package and try to load the data, the job seems to hang.  It is stuck in YELLOW status with "0 from 0 records".  Does anyone have a clue?
    Thank you,
    Tony

    dear Tony,
check if followed already all 'restictions' in oss 512739-BW external DB Connect for MS SQLServer
Datasource not showing up in RSA3
To avoid problems loading data, proceed as follows:
    1. Create a special login for the extraction.
You should add this login to the db_ddladmin database role in the corresponding database. This generates a similar DB user at database level.
The user you use must have the 'CREATE VIEW' authorization at least. This is contained in the role mentioned above.
    2. For the extraction, you should only use DB views that were created under this DB user. (refer also to type conversion, naming convention and so on)
    3. Assign the necessary authorizations (SELECT at least) to the selected user in the source tables, or the columns of these tables.
    4. Use the specially created login in the logon information when you set up the DB source system in BW.

Hi! I have problem when I import data to my Static View object from *.csv.
    I followed tutorial - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/web.1111/b31974/bcquerying.htm#CEGCGFCA
Lets take a look to Figure 5-14 Sample Data Ready to Import from CSV Flat File. There are 3 columns. For Example in column C I have only lines. Bun in A and B column I have all 5 lines. I want to import data from one CSV file. So when I imported data and have some empty fields in column C. When I create SelectOneChoice object in my form, and run it, then it takes also empty fields as choices in my SelectOneChoice object. It is when I create Select one choice from column C Why it is so? And what to do?
    Waiting for response from anyone...
    Best regards!

HI! Can someone give me opinion on my problem?
    Best regards

    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards.
    Ricardo Brambila.

Can you include an "obtool lsh -l" please? You may also want to check that you can do an "obtool pingh" to the client and media servers that are being used. Maybe a service isn't accessible.
Please confirm you are using OSB 10.3.0.3.0 from "obtar -V"
You should also not really be writing your RMAN jobs to the OSB Catalog Media Family. You should instead use its own or the RMAN-DEFAULT one.
    Thanks
    Rich

    We use
    MAXDB version: 7.6.00.37
    JDBC driver version 7.6.00
After first error occurrence, is error repeating and DB server must be restarted to continue. I read some info about this error on internet, but it didn't help us. We doing nothing with statistics. In this case we execute only simple SELECT prepared statement.

Can you help me with this error?

    Hi Juraj,
this looks like a network issue.
Anyhow - you should also consider to install the current patch 7.6.03 available  here from SDN Downloadarea.

  • Tutorial - Connecting an Nokia Phone with an iPaq ...

This Tutorial is as a result of a post by qvodude on 13th January 2008.
Tutorial – Connecting an Nokia Mobile Phone to an HP iPaq Pocket PC
This tutorial has been done using a Nokia 6260 (S60 series 2) and an iPaq 5965 travel companion (windows mobile 5).
Turn on the phone and then go to menu>connections>Bluetooth. When you open Bluetooth you are asked to give your phone a name. (I named mine Nokia 6260). Hit ok. Then highlight Bluetooth and select options>change and switch Bluetooth on. Then scroll down to My phones visibility >options > change > shown to all >ok. Your phone is now set up.
Switch on the iPaq. Start > settings > iPaq Wireless and turn Bluetooth on. Then tap done. On the settings page tap on Bluetooth Manager. When you open Bluetooth Manager it gives you a welcome screen. Just follow the instructions. Luckily my phone is in the list so it was fairly simple. If your phone is not in the list then select Generic Dialer or generic generic. The ipaq will then search for devices in range. In my case it picked up my phone and my laptop. I then selected my phone and was asked if I wanted to pair the devices. I said yes accepted the code that was on the screen and then pressed next. A message then appeared on my phone asking if I wanted to pair with my iPaq. I entered the same code that was used on the iPaq and pressed ok. The ipaq then asked if I wanted to connect to the internet and I said no as I did not want to connect at this time.
On my phone if I highlight Bluetooth and scroll right it shows Paired devices > Pocket PC 5965.
I then tested the setup by tapping tools > connect on the iPaq. My phone then asked if I wanted to Accept connection request from pocket PC. I then selected yes and my Pocket PC showed that I was connected to my network (Optus).
I trust that this helps you. If you have any further problems let me know. I will be going away next Thursday 22nd and will not be back until Wednesday 28th. Whilst I am away I will not be in a position to access these forums so if you could get back to me before then I would appreciate it.
    Regards
    Barry

As mentioned above I have just downloaded OSX Maverick to my iMac. I am now having a lot of problems with iCloud. I get the message that "This iMac can't connect to iCloud because of a problem with, and then it goes on to quote my e-mail address. It then says to open iCloud preferences to fix this problem.
I do this and no matter what I seem to do this message continues to return.
Can anybody explain how to resolve this problem (please bear in mind that I am noy very computer literate).

  • How to read data from a connected modem

any one can help me? how to read data from a connected modem. The modem received real-time data from other server. The data is in text format. I can see this text when I used hyperterminal for dial up and the data is accumulated such as:
    @aa1235678
    @bb2135647
    @cc5214367
since it is real-time data, I want to read one line each time instantly when it arrives.

You need to use the Java Communications API. (http://java.sun.com/products/javacomm/index.html)

Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

  • My MacBook Pro that is running on 10.6.8 won't update software so that iTunes connects to my iphone 6. Problem is that when I go to update, it restarts the computer but never updates any of the software.

My MacBook Pro that is running on Mac OS X 10.6.8 won't update software that I need in order to download the newest iTunes software to connect to my iPhone 6. Problem is that when I go to update, it restarts the computer but never updates any of the software.

    In addition to Stedman's spot-on reply --
When you buy an upgrade disk, all updates in that OS can be found on Software Update.
For instance, I bought Snow Leopard at 10.6.
All other updates have been free and downloadable.  So I'm not a 10.6.7.
    10.4 (Tiger) went to 10.4.11.
    10.5 (Leopard) went to 1.5.8
10.6(Snow Leopard) is currently at 10.6.7.
Now, when Lion come out (the next major upgrade of OSX), I will have to pay to go to 10.7.
After that, updates are free til 10.8 comes out.
