Data controls tab missing

Hi all,
In my IDE 11.1.1.2.0 data control tab is missing very often. I need to reinstall IDE or dig in preferences.xml files, what not always helps. Does anybody know any easy way to restore missing data controls tab and also to make it missing not so often?

I haven't encountered such a problem before - does this happen after some crash?
One thing that might be simpler is to delete just the system11.1.1.2.36.55.36\o.ide sub directory instead of the whole system directory.

Message Control tab missing

I am using ABAP Trial 7.0.
In WE20 Partner Profile, I created an outbound message type. I only see the following tabs: Outbound Options, Permitted Agent, Telephony, EDI Standard. Usually the second tab is Message Control, to state the Application, Message type, and process code.
Is there something wrong with my installation? Or in NW 7 it's removed? It can't be automated since sometimes we need to put our customized process code. Any idea where is the message control tab?

Can you elaborate on how to use WE46? I see the title 'Settings: Error and status Processing'. I don't see anything about 'global idoc parameter settings'. There are codes EDIC, EDIP, EDIX etc. with two choices of settings, Express and Inactive.
I don't see anything that could turn on the missing 'message control tab' in my outbound parameters.

[SOLVED] JDeveloper 11g Data Controls Accordion Missing

Hello all, this is my first post in the forums. I am following the JDeveloper 11g tutorial found here:

However, once I get to the section "ADF Table Component and ADF Binding" step 2 tells me to open my Data Control Accordion in the Application Navigator, which I cannot find. In JDeveloper 10g you could easily open it via View | Data Control Palette (if I am not mistaken).
Inside the Application Navigator the only accordions I see are, "Projects", "Application Resources", and "Recently Opened Files". Also note that I am using the "Default Role" schema.

You were right about this problem, I had initially started JDeveloper 11g in "Java EE" role. Eventually I changed it to "Default" role on my own via Tools | Preferences | Roles - this apparently is what caused my problem.
Being on a *nix machine I followed your instructions and ran the following command:
<jdev_home>/jdev/bin/jdev -su
I was prompted for role selection and user migration and it gave me a fresh start. I can now see my Data Controls Accordion. Big thanks!

Crystal Report 8.5 (Date/Time Tab Missing)

Hi All,
I have been using Crystal Reports Pro 8.5 (SP3) for a while now but I have come across one problem which I cannot understand.
All Date and Time fields within our SQL database are showning in Crystal as only Date fields even though they are definately Date Time field. If I explore the field data within Crystal it only shows me the Date field.
The interesting twist is my work colleague has got the same O/S Windows 7 and the exact same version of Crystal as me and he is able to see the Date/Time tab when formatting the field and Crystal identifies the field as a DateTime field.
Any help would be much appericated.

Hello,
It's the ODBC driver you are using, or how ever you are connecting. They are likely using a newer version which CR see's the data/time field type and not convert it to a date field.
Or it could be one of your Report Options. 8.5 is 10 years old not so I don't recall what the reason for this was now.
Check your database driver and settings.

E2000 Parental control tab missing - Mac OSX Lion

I am trying to use the Parental Control feature. I can't use Cisco Connect as there currently isn't an update for this router for Mac OSX Lion
The firmware version in the support site hasn't been updated for ages, and I am running the latest (v 1.0.04)
The Parental control tab, that is supposed to appear in the web browser interface isn't there. It's supposed to be, but doesn't show up.
Any ideas why or what the work around might be?

If you want to use the Parental Control Feature then it will be in the name of Access Restriction instead of Parental Control…
Cisco Connect 1.4 comes with the latest Linksys routers. It is compatible with Mac OS X Lion. This has resolved compatibility issues encountered in the past.

Create data control button missing from menu

I'm using Jdeveloper 11.1.2
1. I create a new Application
2. create a new JavaClass under viewController
3. right click the class
and...
I can't find the create data control button and create webservice button
I do the same operation on another computer , it appears !
why ?
is ther any settings I need to turn ?

If you do not bother about loosing your current IDE preferences then close/kill jdev and try deleting the jdev system directory. Start jdev again.

Playback Control Tab missing! Help!

I'm using Final Cut Studio 2 (6.0.5) to edit a project that was filmed on the Red Cam. When I import the full res quicktimes into the project and onto the timeline, the playback control tab doesn't have any options for me to change the playback quality, playback frame rate etc. I want to change them to low and half respectively. Going through FCP preferences doesn't seem to alter anything.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? It's a brand new Mac Pro we're running with Leopard 10.5.5.

Your QTs are requiring a processor intensive play back.
Open one of your media files with QT and hit Command(Apple)+I, what you see in QT inspector window?
Red,
MXF wrapper works with AVID and Premiere.
Without Logging and Transferring its content into QTs MXFs would never get on a FCP timeline.

Table Data Preview tab: Missing Filter Textbox + Drill Down Data Discovery

1 - With Oracle based tables, when I click them and the table preview loads with all the tabs, on the Data tab there is a Preview entry box. I do not see the same with SQL Server or MySQL based connections. Is there a way to enable it? Am I not looking hard enough or is this function only available for Oracle based tables?
2 - I'm having a hard time trying to search for an answer to this next question (too many false positives based on the terms I am using). In other tools I have used (namely DB Visualizer), when previewing data in the Table's Data tab, a user may 'drill down' through values by right-clicking the field and applying a filter from the pop-up (drop-down with the field names, usual SQL comparison operators and a text entry box). I see SQL Developer has something similar with a filter list, but it only seems to prompt values in the buffer (in order, no less) and only uses the = operator (no LIKE). Finally, I notice that this value is not even present in the Filter text box (if you wanted to edit it further, add more, etc). As with my prior question, am I missing some usability/functionality setting/config or does this feature simply not exist in the way the other tool employed it? This feature is what keeps the other tool installed on my machine.

1) Sorry, the tool just has fewer bells and whistles for non-Oracle database connections. You might try adding this as a feature request on SQL Developer Exchange.
2) The normal SQL operators such as LIKE, <, and so on, are supported for the individual column filters, but there are some quirks:

Show Data As tab missing in Pivot Table

Hello all,
I have added a column to the Measures in Pivot table. But I dont c any data for that column in my actual report. When I clicked on that particular column SHOW DATA AS option is missing..what went wrong here? Please let me know.

Pivot Table_-- Right now, Month(No ordering) was added to columns and underneath that Measure labels and Measures section has 3 columns.
In my actual report if if the user selects all the months in the dashboard as a prompt, need to show them in a order like
April May June
col1 col2 col3 c1 c2 c3 c1 c2 c3 etc for remaining months.
but it fails. i tried changing the Month as ascending and descending but couldn't achieve the desired format. any suggestions on this?Create a dummy column in answers.Write a case statement like case when month='Jan' then 1 when 'Feb' then 2 etc....Put this in excluded columns in Pivot table and sot on this.If you have month number already then iclude that columns and repeat the steps.

Data Controls Missing From View Controller Tab

Good Afternoon,
I have researched for hours over the internet and this forum but have not found an answer. My problem is this:
I am using JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.2.1.0. In my ViewController project no Data Controls are displayed in the Data Controls tab. No matter what I do they are not coming back. I have refreshed, closed, and re-deployed multiple times (As well as multiple other attempts!). I also checked the DataBindings.cpx file. I have been having this problem for DAYS.
When I try to run my page I get the following exception:
Error processing viewId: /home URI: /WEB-INF/pages/home.jspx actual-URI: /fragments/myTask/myTaskEdit.jsff.
oracle.jbo.NoObjException: JBO-25003: Object TaskAMDataControl of type DataControl is not found.
Does anyone know what to do to have the DataControls display in the Data Controls tab of the View Controller again?

n0vice, is the model project holding the TaskAMDataControl part of the same workspace?
If yes, open the viewControllers project properties and select the 'dependencies' node. There you should see the model jpr file in the 'dependend projects or archives' section. If not click the pencil and add it.

Business object data is not reflecting in data control

I am new to BPM i have a scenario to expose the Business objects(created in my own not from XSD) into data control while updating the any attribute in the business object,but it's not happening while i am trying this scenario.

I think what you're referring to is that you've generated an ADF user interface based on one of your human tasks and that human task took as input one of your processes variables that was based on a BPM Object you created from scratch and you've updated the BPM Object and are not seeing the update reflected in your Data Control.
In the simplest case, this might work:
1) Open the Application Navigator tab
2) Click the refresh icon to the right of the "Data Controls" title in the tab
3) Inside the Data Control tab, right mouse click the specific data control that is based on the human task and the XSD (the one you want to refresh) -> click "Edit Definition" -> click "Refresh Data Control".
If that doesn't work, open your ADF project's "DataControls.dcx" file. This file hard codes the location of the corresponding human task file (.task) and the schema file (.xsd).

When i click on tools -> choose tools Items dialog box, Control Flow and Data Flow Tab are missing.
I've just worked with SQL Server Data Tools and SQL Server 2012 and these tabs are not missing.
i think this is a problem installing SQL Server.
I've not yet found a solution.

Hello,
The WebDynproActiveX objects are actually xfo files stored in a folder locally. Path looks like the following: C:\Documents and Settings\<user_name>\Application Data\Adobe\Designer\en\objects\
There should be a WebDynproActiveX folder containing all the xfo representing the objects. If you don't have them, download an install again the latest version of the LiveCycle Designer.

Tab "Data targets" is missing when creating an InfoPackage

Hello,
when I´m creating an InfoPackage in the maintain screen, the tab "Data targets" is missing, although there are some active transformations to InfoProviders. In tab "Processing" the option "Only PSA" is selected and all other options are greyed out.
Does someone knows the reason? How can I definde the Data Targets to be processed in the InfoPackage maintain view?

1.First of all, while creating transformations , mention sorce as Data source and target as Infocube and the same is for DTP creation also. Then we will get Data targets under "datatargets" tab.
2.As far as my openion is concerned,It will only works.. if we have the requirement to load Monthly data to one Infoprovider, yearly data to second Infoprovider and weekly data to third Infoprovider then we need to create three DTP's for for respective Infoproviders.In this case we can select appropriate Infoproviderwith respect to DTP's.
