  • Data exchange from CRM to SAP BI 7.0 using eSOA

    Hi Experts,
How to build data exchange between CRM and SAP BI system using eSOA method. Since i am into BI and new to eSOA a step by step procedure or document for the above will be a great help.
    Thanks in advance
    Shiva

    Hi Shiva,
In general you can use following options for data exchange between CRM an BW based on SOA technology:

  • How to use the (gigabit) ethernet for data exchange and WLAN for Internet?

    I have following setup:
    - MB Pro SL 10.6
    - Desktop PC Windows 7
    - Wireless Printer
    - Netgear WLAN Router
At the moment all my data and internet communication is done via the WLAN router on 192.168.1.x That works fine and I can exchange data, print and surf the internet. My problem is that big data exchanges > 10GB take ages via my 54Mbit WLAN Connection. Furthermore the WLAN router is far away from the PC so that it is not possible to plug in the Ethernet Cable of the PC and the MB to the router.
Now I've thought that there must be a possibility to use a 1 gigabit (cross) cable (like in the 90s ;)) to connect the MB and the PC directly. I know that I will need different IP ranges and so on, but I have no clue how to do that.
The final solution should be that the setup stays as it is (data exchange, print, internet via WLAN) and that additional it is possible to connect PC and MAC some times for big transfers via a Gigabit ethernet cable. because I only want to connect those two machines I don't think that a switch makes any sense, or?
Does someone know how to do that?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

Well if it were 2 Macs, I would configure each Mac with a fixed IP address (same subnet as my router, but outside of the routers DHCP assignment range).
I would give the same fixed IP address to both my Airport AND my ethernet interfaces. I would do the same to the other Mac using another fixed IP address.
My network service order would have the ethernet higher than the Airport on both systems.
Normally I would use WiFi, so ethernet would be idle and out of the loop.
When I wanted faster transfers, I would connect each Mac to the router via their own ethernet cables, and the Mac would automatically detect that the ethernet became available, and would switch to use the faster ethernet. Since Airport and ethernet have the same fixed IP address, I could even do this in the middle of a file transfer and no one would notice as packets were always going to/from the same IP addresses, just using a different route, which doesn't matter.
NOTE: I've been doing this on Macs since Mac OS X 10.3 days (or was it 10.2; to long ago to remember).
However, you have thrown a Windows system into the mix, and since I do not use Windows, I do not have a clue about what can be done on Windows. However, maybe this will give you some ideas, and asking the right questions in a Windows oriented forum may provide the Windows side of this setup.
Sorry, that is the best I can do. Maybe my reply will encourage someone else to offer their approach.

I had to figure this out for the .NET side of things.  It may help, not sure.
I started by creating an instance of the client object seen below.  In that client object there is an event that tells users when new data is available to be displayed.  To subscribe to that event I register for the Event callback from that object.  There is a lot more on this in the NI example finder if you search for NET Event Callback for Calendar Control.  This is where I learned how to do most of this.  I had to create a separate VI for the VI Ref and wired up a Reference to the data cluster as the user parameter.  Next I create a dynamic event for that data cluster.  If the value changes I want the event structure to do something for me.  I use the NewVal and OldVal for comparison.  At this point my front panel display is updated with any new information.
I am not sure if this will help but I know what it was like trying to figure out how to use an event from a DLL to trigger my LabVIEW VI.  Let me know if this helped or if you need me to clarify anything.

  • Calendar Items-Exchange and Mobile Me

On my I-Phone, Calendar events appear as one color for exchange (my work account) and a different color for Mobile Me.
I set up my I-Pad to sync both accounts and events show with the same color.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a setting I need to change?

Sorry - just found similar posts in the "Syncing" section.
Apparently is an issue as numerous posts are reporting the same problem.
Apparently no solution until an update is posted

    Hi Vikas,
thank you very much for your quick answer.
Am I getting it right that you installed the Web Application Server and the XI on the same machine? I read about the mandatory installation on two seperate machines but I hope that the installation on one machine is also possible when using the server for testing purposes.
What processor do you have? Do you think my Pentium 4 2.8 GHz processor will do it?
    Very appreciative greetings,
    Florian

  • Standard Role to Middleware (data exchange)

    Hello
We have a SAP CRM Project where customer is very restrictive with authorizations management in productive systems .
We can’t assign a SAP_ALL   to connection user (RFCUSER)  for data exchange and we are trying to find a standard role pfcg with all necessary authorization in SAP CRM & SAP ECC to exchange master data & ERP customizing.
I’m worried about this because if I use a trace (ST01) to identify authorization objects I could create an incomplete role.
Does anybody have any information about this issue?  Do you Know a standard role to fullfil this security requirement?
    Thanks in advance,
    Pilar.

I see to many variables here to solve this with the standard roles
You can analyze the users who have roles in both systems for the objects that will be integrated and assign those roles to the RFC users...I don't know, just an idea

  • Data Services and Data Quality Recommnded Install process

    Hi Experts,
I have a few questions. We have some groups that have requested Data Quality be implemented along with another request for Data Services to be implemented. I've seen the requested for Data Services to be installed on the desktop, but from what I've read, it appears to be best to install this on the server side to allow for more of a central benefit to all.
    My questions are:
    1. Can Data Services (Server) install X.1 3.2 be installed on the same server as X.I 3.1 SP3 Enterprise?
    2. Is the Data Services (CLIENT) Version dependent on if the Data Services (Server) install is completed? Basically can the u201CData Services Designeru201D be used without the Server install?
    3. Do we require a new License key for this or can I use the Enterprise Server license key?
    4. At this time we are not using this to move data in and out of SAP, just using this to read data that is coming from SAP.
From what I read, DATA Services comes with the SAP BusinessObjects Data Integrator or SAP BusinessObjects Data Quality Management solutions. Right now it's seems we dont have a need for the SAP Connection supplement, but definetly something we would implement in the near future. What would be the recommended architecture? A new Server with tomcat and cmc (seperate from our current BOBJ Enterprise servers)? or can DataServices be installed on the same?
    Thank you,
    Teresa

    Hi Teresa.
Hope you are referring to BOE 3.1 (Business Objects Enterprise) and BODS (Business Objects Data Services) installation on the same server machine.
Am not an expert on BODS installation.
But this is my observation :
We had recently tested on a test machine BOE BOXI 3.1 SP3 (full build) installation before upgrade of our BOE system.
We also have BODS in our environment.
Which we also wanted to check whether we could keep on the same server.
So on this test machine, which already has BOXI 3.1 SP3 build, when i installed BODS server installation,
    what we observed was that,
all the menus of BOE went away
and only menus of BODS were seen.
May be BODS installation overwrites/ or uninstalls BOE, if it already exists ?
I dont know.  Though i could not fine any documentation, saying that we cannot have BODS and BOE on the same server machine. But this is what we observed.
So we have kept BODS and BOE on 2 different machines running independently and we do not see any problem.
    Cheers
    indu

  • Notifications of failed or partially failed load processes in the Data Exchange

    Hello,
I've recently completed quite a few data integrations (to maintain coexistence) between external systems at my company and Oracle Fusion. The majority include data-out (Extracts and BI Reports), and data-in (via FBL from UCM).
I'm wondering what the standard is for notifications on failed FBL loads. After an FBL succeeds with the RIDC, the most information I know is the process ID of the process loading my data into Fusion. In order to check to see if it succeeded or not, I have to go into the Data Exchange and check the process manually in the "Load Batch Data" GUI.
Is there a way to get emailed notifications if a process finishes with any failures? The only automated way I know of to check on statuses is to schedule the seeded Batch Load Summary HCM extract and have something on our end check for anything that has failed. But this is pretty un-ideal when all I want is an immediate notification of failed or trouble FBL loads.
What's the easiest/best/quickest way to be automatically notified when an FBL load is having issues?
    Thanks,
    Tor

I am not an expert on FBL, but I think there is a ESS process involved, could you configure alerts to monitor the state and have incidents be sent to the interest parties, see Monitoring Oracle Enterprise Scheduler

  • SAP Library

    Hello guys,
Is it true that there is some SAP books and papers from SAP Library very intersting to read to set up easly for example the different infoproviders and extractor from SD, CRM for BW
It seems that the books deals with how to and where to use the several extractors, about the Business Content ..by Domaine

The Best Practice are usefull when my need match with existing scenario. but always I can not find any help. So I was wondering if any book exists with maximum details about each Domaine
if we are talking about MM or SD implementation, I think it is better to have some book talking about the existing infoproviders and extractors for this matter.
the best practice for Logistiques are 5 scenario, it is not enough
    Thanks for your replies
