Data files for Desktop ver. 4.1.4

I am searching for the data files for my Palm Desktop application. My computer self destructed, I am able to get files off of the old HDdrive but I cannot locate data files for my Palm application. I was running Palm Desktop version 4.1.4 (PalmOne). Can anyone help me?

They should be located at c > program files > palm (or palmone) > [your user folder, usually an abbreviated version of your Hotsync I.D.]

After using a Palm for 10 years I recently switched to a BB Curve 8330 and never looked back. I'm trying to figure out where my data files for Outlook calendar, contacts, notes, and etc. so I can back up the files. I know I can do a back-up using BB Desktop Manager but I'm also curious to know where the data files are stored. I'm using Windows XP.

Sample Data Files for P Card Testing

Is there a utility available that can be used to easily create sample data files for use when testing P Card functionality? We will be using the USBank/Visa file format. Generating enough sample data is time consuming especially in the volumes we need.

Where is the data file for the address book located, I need to restore mine from backup but don't know where it is to do so. Putting my Mac Pro onto icloud synching contacts resulted in duplicate and triplicates of the same cards. I have a few THOUSAND contacts and the last time this happened was on mobile me. that had a function where you could replace info on the mobile me server with info on the computer. I see no way to do that on the new cloud.

Reinstall or Rebuild Data File for Calendar App

My Calendar app will not accept the Time Zone change I designated. I have tried just about everything else to correct the problem. No other apps of system prefs are affected. It seems to be isolated to Calendar.
Doesn't the Date and Time setting govern the Time Zone setting in the Calendar app? If so, the Calendar app is not reflecting this.
Is there a way to rebuild the data file for the Calendar or to reinstall it?

Same issue here. Found the application but not the saved file. When I used to do this on a PC, it was all in the same folder and file extension was .tax. Easy to find them all.
For some reason, this year, TurboTax cannot find the file on my Macbook. I do not recall moving these files off my Mac so it should have 2009 and 2010 on here but all I found is the actual application, not the data file.
Any suggestions? It's got to be on here, just filed away in one of those weird mac file structures.

Package Java ANE file for desktop

I'm trying to package an ANE file for desktop and am almost bald now :/.
I just made an HelloWorld extension with a simple "sayHello" method that simply returns the string "Hello World".
I made a JAR file of it, created the extension's XML definition as follow :

I put my HelloWorld.jar aside the batch file, tried to put it on a "Windows" folder and many other things... but can't get rid of this error.
I can't find nothing about this error anywhere (neither here http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/build/WSBE9908A0-8E3A-4329-8ABD-12F2A19AB5E9.html) so i'm a bit stuck.
I'm certainly missing a point here but don't know what.
Any help would be much apreciated because i have no idea where the problem comes from :/

How to Dynamically Select the Data File for a Report at Print Time

How do you configure a Crystal report to ask for the file to be reported on as the report is being printed, and allow the user to browse to the file?
The environment is Crystal Reports XI, SP3, with ODBC connection to Sage Timberline Office data version 9.7. The client names their Payroll unposted time file each pay period, and also needs to report on their posted data file, depending on the time period for the report. The client will need to select both the date range and the file name.
I have created a SQL statement in Add Command in Database Expert, which prompts for a file name, but it does not let you browse to select a file on the computer.
Therefore, in the prompts when they print the report, the parameter offers the user a default file name similar to the name they currently use, so they only have to change the payroll period end date in the supplied file name to run the report successfully.
The client is concerned that sometimes a user will name their data file differently, and not know how to input the file name into the Crystal report prompt at print time.
My research on dynamic prompts showed you can link to fields inside the data record, but I did not see a way to dynamically link to select the actual files used in the report.
Another question is that the naming convention used by the SQL query is different than the basic Windows file name, but I think I can handle that issue.
The actual file name is typically similar to:
04-10-11 BP NEW.PRT
However, in the SQL query, the record ID looks like:

Sorry you'll have to contact Sage on how to do this. We can help you once you get connected but we can't help you get around their connection methods.
There is no Preview Set Database Connection method you can use in CR Designer. The Designer assumes you select it first or use the Set Location option before previewing or refreshing the data.
If you are doing this in the Sage program itself we can't help you, you'll have to contact Sage for assistance.
Sage is an OEM Partner they are responsible for supporting their product and CR. If they have issues help you then they will contact us directly for assistance.

Access via command line to the data files for Address Book

Snow Leopard Server 10.6.8
Mac Mini 2.66 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo 4 GB 1067 MHZ DDR3
I rolled back from Mountain Lion Server to Snow Leopard Server because I needed mySql. At the time I was under AppleCare and they walked me through the steps. However, I ended up with Address Book issues.
Addressbook user on the Snow Leopard Server was upgraded to Mountain Lion Server. During the rollback process, the Apple tech had me delete the Addressbook user.
When we finished the rollback, he had me recreate the Addressbook user, but now it is linked to a new, empty data file. I cannot add new contacts nor edit or delete them. So I need to use the command line to view both data store files, find the one that has my data in it and re-attach it to my new Addressbook user.
Can someone help me with the Command Line commands?

There are a couple of more advanced solution I can think of and I'm actually working on one myself.
* You can create your own jnlp client that allows you to pass in arguments. That sounds harder than it easy. Building a stripped down jnlp client (e.g. no installer, no applets) using one of the two open-source client as a start takes probably just a couple of days and should be sufficient for in house usage.
* Another solution is what I'm working on now. You can wrap your own executable around javaws that takes your passed in arguments plus jnlp href and looks up the original in the cache and adds a new one to the cache that it passes on to javaws and suddenly everything works as it should. A Legal Consolidation prerequisit is to have the sample data file that we do not have: "Consolidation Finance Data.xls"

We are trying to create a version of our app that Advertisers can view on all platforms (iPad & Desktop). What we have done is created a delegate account and from the folio builder panel, we have shared the specific folio with that delegate and emailed the login credentials to certain advertisers. This allows them to view it using Content viewer on an iPad.
I am also trying to export the .folio file in order to send this out to specific people to view using Content Viewer on desktop (PC & MAC). In the example here http://www.e3zine.com/desktopviewer.html there is a single .folio file but when I use the export function within the Publishing Suite it exports a zip file which contains all articles as individual .folio files. Is there any way of exporting this folio as one single .folio file?

I have been able to export my published folio from the publishing suite into a zip folder on my desktop which contains a series of .folio files that are all viewable within content viewer for desktop. I have set the welcome file - abc.portal - in web.xml. It works if we use file-based portal and doesn't work for desktop. In order to make web.xml work for all situations, how should I set the welcome file for portal? Thanks in advance.

the welcome file defined like this in web.xml:

And this file can be access through http://mydomain/mycontext.
However, after I created a desktop, the URL for the desktop becomes http://mydomain/mycontext/appmanager/streamportal/desktop, so there is no way to find the abc.portal from there.

Syncing IE bookmarks creates .dat files on desktop

Hi, syncing Internet Explorer bookmarks with iPad or iPhone creates files with the form .dat1a34.004. Everytime I sync more of these files are created, littering the favorites folder. They also appear on the IE favorites. Doing a google search I can see that this is a long standing issue. Is there any way to solve this? Is anyone else experiencing th problem? I am using IE 9 but had the same issue with IE 8. Thanks.

I am having the same issue, is the solution still to unselect "sync bookmarks" ?? This seems like a waste of a function on the apple product. I find the .dat files extremely annoying as I seem to only be able to delete them individually and there are hundreds of them created. Come on apple, this has been going on for over 5 years now. What is the soution??????

Saving data files for backward compatability.

I am currently saving the data in my appplication as a datalog file (LabView specific). The data contains strings, clusters, arrays etc.. so it's not a case if simple Binary data)
The problem I have is that the software/program is always being developed and more variable added to be saved. This software is kind of in use and I therfore need the old data files to be backward compatible with the new program.
With datalog files, you have to provide an image of the exact data file structure to load, so obviously with the new data structure, the old files will no longer load. How can I over come this? Is there a simple way.
The only way I thought of, was to save my data in.csv format. For example, I would save an exce
l/array matrix of say 20 x 100 which would give me 2000 cells to work with (plenty). I could then save all my data into this file, but always saving a 20x100 matrix, so even if I update the program in the future to save a further 5 data values/clusters etc.. for example, the saved matrix would not need to change and it would simply have the same image, but with 5 more cells filled.
Would this work?
I theory it sounds feasable, but do you have another/better method.
At present, I am using datalog file I/O and simply save a few extra blank clusters/doubles etc.. so I have a bit of scope to add thing, but this is not aceptable really.
There would also be other benfits for me if I use a .csv excel file, but it's not critical, other file formats will also be ok.

This forum is for questions regarding the LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control Module, which is an add-on software package for LabVIEW. Your problem could be solved by using the DSC Module, but your question does not sound like you are thinking about using the DSC Module.
