Data Files for new Oracle 11.2g install

Hi,
I have installed Oracle 11.2g on Windows 7 Professional 32 bit environment. I would like to download data files to run queries. Could you tell me where I can download data files/database files/scripts?
Could you also tell me which Oracle manual can be used to practice Oracle database for Systems Admin.

Hi All
I am facing an OAF issue whereby I have a simple Page (FndUserPG ) , which has a PageLayout region style as its child node. This PageLayout node has a controller class (FndUserCO).
In this controller class’ processRequest, I am dynamically creating a Search Region (FndUserRN) using the following command :
OAWebBean bean = createWebBean(pageContext, webBean, "FndUserRN", 275);
FndUserRN is a defaultSingleColumn region style that has a result based Search Query bean. The Query bean in turn has a table with all the fields inside it.
All the pages are uploaded into MDS without an issue and the controller is compiled successfully.
Furthermore I have updated the regionMap.xml file and uploaded it into MDS. The regionMap.xml has the following new line added :
<oa:defaultSingleColumn docName="FndUserRN" extends="/oracle/apps/pa/webui/FndUserRN" user:akRegionStyle="DEFAULT_SINGLE_COLUMN"/>
When the page (FndUserPG) renders in Apps (without the Search region appearing!), I get the following error message:
No data found for region (/oracle/apps/pa/regionMap/FndUserRN).
I know the issue is with the createWebBean command, as I have placed debug messages before and after the command and I only get the debug message prior to the createWebBean call.
Have I missed anything here ?
Where does that message come from. ?

No this is a brand new screen. It is not a migrated AK Region.
The reason I am using the regionMap file, is that I am facing a "hanging and time-out" issue in one our OAF customizations buried deep inside seeded PA OAF pages.
I have narrowed down the problem to a query bean region that gets created dynmically using the createWebBean. This is where the page hangs.
So I am trying to re-create a more simplified version of the customization away from the main PA pages, so that I can demo it to Support/ProdDev and prove that:
"Creation of a Query Bean dynamically using createWebBean is faililing under RUP5..."
The original customization uses the regionMap and that is why I placed a value there. I am not sure what property or setting makes the OAF rely on regionMap.
I have developed stand alone pages begore and never had to place references into regionMap.

FWIW,
Adobe keeps a quarterly release schedule for RAW updates. The current Lightroom 4.4 RC expires on 5/31/2013 which typically is an indication that the official release will be close to that date. According to the current list of new supported cameras, the Nikon D7100 is not slated to be supported (but that could change on release).

Hi,
If you go through the Oracle sites you will come to know that HRMS Suite has various modules like Core HR, SSHR, Performance Management, Learning Management, iRecruitment, Compensation workbench, Absence Management, Payroll, Advanced Benefits etc.
You will have to start with understanding the Core HR concepts which is the base of the entire HRMS suite where you define the core structures like Organizations, Job, Position, Grade, Costing, Hierarchies, Employee data etc and which forms the base of the other modules.
Post you are done with Core HR you can start understanding the Self Service functionality and Approval Management Engine.
If you are clear with these two modules, then you can pick any other module as per your Job requirement demands.
You can do this all if you have an instance to access where you can do hands-on. In absence of which learning will be not be easy. On apps2fusion site which I have already mentioned you can view the training calendar and check for any relevant courses if you want to under go training as the quality of training is very good.
Training is not a mandate and you can learn it without training also if you have the dedication and time by understand each and every action which you are performing in application and the impact of it.

Legacy data transfer for new depreciation area for already existing assets

Hi all,
I am doing legacy data transfer for New deprecaition area for already existing assets through AS92.
I like to give Ordinay depreciation posted amount for the current FY for these assets in AS92, but i find this field is not editable inAS92.
Please guide me to upload the Posted deprecaiton amount (for current FY) for these assets. I have assets both which are acquired in Last FY year and also this FY year.

I have to migrate Posted dpereciation for new depreciation for nearly 3000 assets, In transaction 147, where i need give Acquituion value aslo, please note these are not new assets, these are prior year assets wiht opeing balances. If we use 147 system will take it is current acquition.
Please note my transter date is 28.02.2010, I have already run AFAB for this company cdoe Feb 2010 for other depreciation areas.
Now i am trying to update Opening APC Cost and Opening Accumulated deprecation for these assets and also posted depreciation for this FY.
Where in AS92, i am able to update Opeing APC Cost and Opeing Acc Dep succsfully for new dep area for already existingassets, bu Posted deprecation field is not editable.
Please guide me how to update posted deprecation for new deprecaition area in AS92 or some other way for already existing assets.

Sample Data Files for P Card Testing

Is there a utility available that can be used to easily create sample data files for use when testing P Card functionality? We will be using the USBank/Visa file format. Generating enough sample data is time consuming especially in the volumes we need.

the plan is to cover all the training materials.. BPC420, 430,440 in next 2-3 weeks if possible. Though Immediate need is to learn planning .
Looking at SAP training support files (I have course material) or any complete case study data which I can do from scratch.. I have just been doing it for 3-4 days.. already understand the basic stuff.. Pretty comfortable with SAP ECC & BW (both technical and function stuff)..

Hi everyone,
After using a Palm for 10 years I recently switched to a BB Curve 8330 and never looked back. I'm trying to figure out where my data files for Outlook calendar, contacts, notes, and etc. so I can back up the files. I know I can do a back-up using BB Desktop Manager but I'm also curious to know where the data files are stored. I'm using Windows XP.

Data files for Desktop ver. 4.1.4

I am searching for the data files for my Palm Desktop application. My computer self destructed, I am able to get files off of the old HDdrive but I cannot locate data files for my Palm application. I was running Palm Desktop version 4.1.4 (PalmOne). Can anyone help me?

They should be located at c > program files > palm (or palmone) > [your user folder, usually an abbreviated version of your Hotsync I.D.]

Reinstall or Rebuild Data File for Calendar App

My Calendar app will not accept the Time Zone change I designated. I have tried just about everything else to correct the problem. No other apps of system prefs are affected. It seems to be isolated to Calendar.
Doesn't the Date and Time setting govern the Time Zone setting in the Calendar app? If so, the Calendar app is not reflecting this.
Is there a way to rebuild the data file for the Calendar or to reinstall it?

Same issue here. Found the application but not the saved file. When I used to do this on a PC, it was all in the same folder and file extension was .tax. Easy to find them all.
For some reason, this year, TurboTax cannot find the file on my Macbook. I do not recall moving these files off my Mac so it should have 2009 and 2010 on here but all I found is the actual application, not the data file.
Any suggestions? It's got to be on here, just filed away in one of those weird mac file structures.

Making change in original application file for new version

I am new to DMS.
I have a basic query about versioning of DIR.
I have created a DIR with status in Released.
I have attached a original application to the DIR. Now when I am creating a new version of DIR, original application file is also getting copied to the new version which is desired.
My problem is I want to make changes into original application file in new version of DIR and want to save. But I am unable to do so. It is not allowing me to change the original application file for new version which is desired for storing some ISO documents.
Is there any settings which I am missing?

If you want to make changes in the "Release" Status, go to dc10, select Doc type and define status screen. Do not put "S" (Lock mode) for Status - Release
Also please check in new version , you are clicking on Edit symbol in Orginals tab, if u double click the file, it would open always in display mode , and it wont allow you to make any changes

E recruiting Data Transfer for New Employee

          We are implementing E-recruitment 3.0, Ecc 6.0 and E recruitment system are in the same system, we processing internal recruitment currently, here i can receive the internal applications, we can able to view and process the applications in recruiter role. Here i can execute the sequence of activities for application process group for received applications, we not integrated any XI systems for e recruitment process.
         After processing the activity to be hired, the next activity is Data transfer for new employee, this is also executed successfully for data transfer of employee positions, job, org unit details etc.
       1. whether transferred data of applicant is processed via transaction PA48(Hiring of transferred employees)for internal recruitment in R/3 HR system, after the data transfer activity in E recruitment portal screen ?
       2. is any other roles and application url available for Hiring internal candidate which could be done in portal E recruitment screen itself with out coming to R/3 HR transactions side ? with out going into PA48 for hiring.
      3. any specific roles we have assign for recruiter ?
      4. any process carried out in Managerial self service?(according to me MSS is different instance to process recruitment process for internal and external recruitment for Vacancy filling) please correct me my vision on MSS.

If you are selecting the internal candidate , you need not hire the employee again using PA48. You can trigger transfer / change in position workflow using PCR form.

I dont think we have any specific action from eRecruitment side to run the hiring action.This needs to be done from R/3 only.

If its intergrated portal with the Requestor role attached in the manager profile , they will be able to carry out both internal and external candidates selection. I dont think you would require different instance.
We can also wait for someother inputs from forum gurus.

Master Data Load for New Attribute

Hi Users,
We had to implement a separate load flow for a new field coming from R3. This field was to be added to existing master data object.
I added a new Display attribute for an existing 0GL_ACCOUNT master data object.
This new attribute along with some other existing fields is getting data from another master data object with an infosource in between because two transformations cannot be created for same source and target.
When i load the data i dont see data being populated for this new field. I did ACR, checked the keys e.t.c.
Source object has data but after executing DTP no data comes to this attribute. No routines or anything.

The situation is:
Field x from source maps to
1. field y ( which was existing field ) and also maps to
2. field z which is the new attribute.
field y has to get updated for company codes 10 for example.
field z for company codes 30.
now if i use same flow and map field x to both y and z then there is overwriting happening if 10 does not have value for x and 20 has then its not good.
So if i use a separate flow with infosource then i will map only x to z so after loads which means for 10 code if no value went in first dtp to y then if code 30 has value for x then z will only be updated and y remains empty....

I have a requirement to load a data file in which some of the rows are in new line as given in following example. If i put a '\n' character in control file, then it will load only those records which have newline in them ignoring non new line ones. please have a look at control fileand provide a solution to it :-

As you see there are newline characters in record 2 and 3, right now my control file looks like this -

If i remove "STR '\r\n'" , then the data gets loaded into different rows like the third record looks like this -

*\r\n* is Windows The End of Line character (The Carriage Return + The Line Feed).

OS/HARDWARE/SAN CHOICE FOR NEW ORACLE 10G INSTALL

I know pieces of this post have been asked in different ways so I will be as concise as possible.
We are loolking to implement an ERP in our company using Oracle Apps or SAP with Oracle 10G as the databse. We are a windows shop but will be hiring a Unix admin and DB admin for the ERP.
Our DB is currently only about 400 gig and our transaction volume is fairly low with 100 users and only accounting type transactions.
The current dilemma is what combo of hardware/os/san to use to optimize ease of administration, scalability and failover.
We are considering Redhat/Dell using a netapp san. One of our consultants favors a IBM solution front to back with p servers/IBM storage and aix.
Several questions....
1. Any advantage to AIX or HPUX over Redhat anymore ?
2. Any advantage to IBM and HP over Dell for our needs and transaction volume ?
3. RAC or just enterprise oracle ?
4. Netapp san or EMC, HP, IBM etc
4. Dataguard or Netapp snapshot etc for uptime (or both)?
5. Any opinions on using 1 NETAPP SAN for both oracle db data and windows user data ?
I am looking for opinions, places to research or anyone who has used this config in a ERP for a mid to large sized company to chime in, please.......!!!

cmd>conn sys as sysdba

cmd>alter user "" identified by password;
and if u talking about OS password then u call system administrator they change ur password...
