Data flowing into incorrect CC when triggered from a SAP - RFC

hi Experts,
I have a RFC to SOAP scenario. Data is triggered from SAP through RFC. Initially, this was done from client 200. Now for the same system there is one more client 210 from which data needs to be triggered.
I completed the configuration. But when data was triggered from client 210, the communication channel of the client 200 is showing the following error.
Error in processing caused by: com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: alternativeServiceIdentifier: party/service from channel configuration are not equal to party/service from lookup of alternativeServiceIdentifier (CPA party/service/channel ''/'ECQCLNT200'/'CC_SAP_RFCEproPOSender', lookup of alternativeServiceIdentifier for party '', schema 'TechnicalSystem' with 'ECQ#210' returned party/service of ''/'ECQCLNT210')
The client 210 communication channel is not showing any message. Also no messages are seen in moni.

I cleared the cache and now am getting the following error in the communication channel of client 210.

I have created the communication channel under the bussiness system of client 210 and also have created the receiver agreements and sender agreement specific for the client 210. Still getting the error.
Need your help in solving this.

I am getting same error even after using the same operation name  in logical and in action on physical port as in Binding file created by adapter

How to avoid syslog messages when connecting via Perl SAP::RFC ?

Everything works fine with Perl SAP::RFC calls to our ERP 6.0 thanks to Piers Harding except numerous entrys in the SAP-syslog (SM21) which make that a little bit unclearly.
Tracing is set to "0" when connecting via new SAP::Rfc( ASHOST .. , TRACE    => "0" ) from Perl.
The syslog - entries look something like this:
07:46:10 DIA 000                          R1 M Trace vom Remote Client übernommen.
07:46:18 UP2 062 011 MYRFCUSER              R1 L Trace für Benutzer MYRFCUSER deaktiviert.
Even when tracing is set to "0" there is also a *.trc-File in the directory where the perl script resides on RFC client side.
In this trace file one can see the followig excert:

Problems with DBConnect datasources when triggered from pchain (DB2 databas

We are using BI 7 and DB Connect functionality to remotely connect to our DB2/DB6 database to extract some data.
We created source system and data sources based on dbconnect and included infopackages, etc. into our process chains to load.
When we schedule process chain to run at certain times, InfoPackages fail at random or continue to run indefinitely. There is no clear error message, other than: Database system cannot be reached or The request is still running in the source system.
We made sure database was up during the times we are trying to schedule process chain. So, this is not the issue. The interesting thing is that whenever we try to run InfoPackages manually (not through pchain), we do not get any errors ever.
It appears that this issue occurs only when the load is triggered from the process chain (BWREMOTE user). And it happens at random. One day it could work fine, another day the same infopckage would fail.
Any ideas of what might be happening?

I am not sure with this just trying to help you..
When you run the infopackage manually it uses the User name and password hard coded in the Source System Connection Settings, and when you run it from process chain does it still use the same username and password as this happens in backgroud please check that.
Also clear any other yellow loads/pending jobs in SM37 of this job(triggered from process chain) type in the past.

Mixing of 3.x data flow into 7.0 flow

There is an Info Object with Master data and already used in different cubes.
The whole for extracting Master data into this object and also loading to the cubes is also in 3.x flow.
There is a requirement for adding new attributes to this Info Object, and for these attributes I am loading text data from R/3 table using Generic extraction for texts.
If I load the text data to these attributes in 7.0 flow and when these objects are added to already existing InfoObject whose data flow is in 3.x, will it affect performance or generate any errors.
Will any compatibility errors occurs during Process chains schedule or attribute change runs?

There shouldn't be anyproblem, you can use 3.x and 7.0 flow for a same object.
for example:- you can load a master data info object with 3.x flow and also 7.0 flow.
i did this in one of my previous assignments....we had a masterdata object (created in 3.x)which has been used across the system..like, in cubes, DSOs etc..
Later on, the system has been upgarded to 7.0 and we had to add few new attributes to add to the same master data infoobject. we added those new attributes and created a 7.0 flow(transformations and DTPs) inorder to load the newly added attributes.
There has been absoluetly no problem till date....this has been implemented more than an year ago.
your case is pretty simple when comapred to mine.....you are just loading the text data for the new attributes using a 7.0 flow.
Bottom line: you can use 3.x and 7.0 flow for a same object simultaneously.

Why the process chain always run twice when triggered from R3?

I run a program from R3 by calling the remote function 'RSSM_EVENT_RAISE' on BW to trigger an event and in turn the event on BW bring up the running of a process chain. But whenever I run the program on R3 to bring up the running of the process chain, I find the process chain always run twice at the same time. Does anybody knows the answer?
And also I would like to know the functionalities of the two picture buttons "Activate" and "Activate and Schedule" in process chain. In which case the "Activate" button should be used and in which case, the "Activate and Schedule" button should be used? If we click the Start variant of a process chain, then click "Change Selections" button which bring up the window "Start Time" where the buttons "Immediate", "Date/Time", "After job", and "After event" are listed at the top. If we modify at any of the above buttons, then after save this modification, we will have to click "Activate and Schedule" button to make it work, right?

Kevin, make sure there is only one job scehduled for the Start Process of your Process Chain. If you bring up the Process Chain (not the log view), right click on the Start Process and select "Displaying Scheduled Job(s)...". There should only be one scheduled job with name BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER. If there is more than one, then when triggered, it would execute more than once at the same time. If there is only one job, then maybe your R/3 program is triggering the event more than once?
As far as the Start conditions for the Start Process, it works off the same principals as a scheduled job. These start conditions determine when or how the Process Chain is to be executed. You also have control over frequency. These start conditions determine the scheduling of the Start Process of your Process Chain.
When you schedule a Process Chain, a separate scheduled job is created for "each" process in the Chain. BW controls the triggering of these jobs based upon how the processes in the Chain are linked. All the jobs associated with Process Chains have strict naming conventions and all begin with BI_PROCESS_... If you use SM37 to view all jobs that begin with BI_PROCESS_ you will find alot of scheduled jobs associated with your process chains. Each job represents one of the processes within your process chains.
Does this help?
Another tip might be to trigger the event manually in BW (use tx SM64). If the process chain executes twice again, then maybe there is a separate scheduled job in BW that triggers the process chain that is triggered by the same event as the start process of the process chain.

Data flow into data source

Hello,
Is there any nice documentation which describes exactly how the data flows from the source R/3 table all the way to the data source? Is this very different from ds to ds or is there a common logic?
As I understand it, a function module fetches the data from the data source when being called upon from info package in BW... But how do I trace the flow all the way back to the source tables in R/3?

Outbound Proxy error when triggering from SPROXY

Hi Everyone,
I was working on outbound proxy from ECC to PI. I have generated the proxy and activated. When I am trying to test the proxy manually from SPROXY the message is not getting triggered to SXMB_MONI in ECC itself. But I didn't get any error message as well. When I am executing the proxy from SPROXY I was getting below message in the status bar. So can anyone help me with the possible solution why the message is not getting triggered.
Below is the options I have selected while executing the proxy.
This was the status message which was giving after execution of proxy from SPROXY. The same status was giving for all the Proxy interface which ever is executing from SPROXY.

Have a problem in Numbers with entering data directly into a cell when a table reaches a certain size and special characters are used?

I am creating a list of words with special characters in some of them. I get to a point where I cannot enter data directly into the cell. I have to use the data entry bar at the top in the toolbar. Any solutions available?
This is the table I am creating...
From row 25 on, I am only able to enter data into the cell through the toolbar at the top and not directly into the cell itself. I believe that this problem originates from the special characters I have inserted in the previous records because if I do not use special characters, then the spreadsheet acts flawlessly. Have there been issues in Numbers with data entry, the size of a table, and using special characters?

I would try removing the rows with "special" characters one at a time to see which one is causing the problem

What ATP category to use when loading from non SAP system

Hi Experts,
We are sourcing transactional data from SAP R/3 and using CIF to transfer these data to APO.
Now we have new sets of material locations where we are going to source transcational data from non-SAP system. We are going to extract file from non-SAP system and load it to APO. My question is, do I need to create new categories (non SAP categories) for all these transactional data (sales order, production order, purchase order, etc...) Or can I just use existing SAP categories that are getting populated when data are coming from R/3 through CIF.
If its possible, can I use RLCDELETE to delete previously posted transactional data? because we are planning to do full refresh and reload everyday.

If i undersood your question correctly, you are trying to upload transaction data into APO system using file interface.
You can use custom or standard ATP categories to upload any type of transaction data and deletion of those orders also possible for both the ATP categories using RLCDLETE report (except salesorder and fixed planned orders, they can be deleted by SDORDER_DEL & DELETE_PP_OREDER reports respectively).
Custome categoires will be used in case additional data needs to get stored in APO system along with the standard transaction data coming from ECC system . For example, salesorders coming from ECC and uploaded from file.
If the transaction data coming from only one source system then it is better to use standard categories.

Infopackage returns 0 when triggered from process chain

I have an Infopackage triggered by process chain (say PC A) which is further triggered by other meta-chains.
So PC A, is triggered by PC B, and PC B is triggered by PC C.
Daily it returns 0 records.
However, if I run the process chain manually, that is PC A, the infopackage returns correct number of records.
What may be the cause?

When you are executing through PC then it is running with the user id ALEREMOTE because of not having proper authorization it picking 0 records but when you run the same with your ID manually then you are getting the data for the same .
You need to get in touch with the Basis team to check for the authorization for these 2 ID's .
From my point you can use SU01 to get the information for all the profiles associated with the ID and then with RSECADMIN you can check for the Tcodes and related authorization activity associated with the ID.
Please check and updated accordingly later .

DAX Calculation shows incorrect results when driven from Time Slicer

We have defined a DAX quarter on quarter calculation
PREV Q % 13F:=divide([PREV Q ABS 13F],[Prior Quarter 13F])
Prior Quarter 13F:=CALCULATE(sum([TotalValue]), DATEADD(Time[Date], -1, QUARTER))
PREV Q ABS 13f:=CALCULATE(sum([TotalValue]))-[Prior Quarter 13F]
which works fine in Pivottables in Excel but when time selection is driven by a time slicer the calculation doesn't work anymore:
Is this a but or expected behaviour? Are there other ways to use a control that affects multiple other pivot tables like the time slicer?

OK, there are some really interesting points here - i think the screenshot below best explains it:
Time Slicers use MDX subselects to propagate the selection to the pivot table:
SELECT .... FROM (SELECT Filter([Fact13FSample].[ReportDate].Levels(1).AllMembers, ([Fact13FSample].[ReportDate].CurrentMember.MemberValue>=CDate("2013-04-01") AND [Fact13FSample].[ReportDate].CurrentMember.MemberValue<CDate("2013-07-01")))

this works just fine for normal measures but seems to cause issues with time-intelligence function
it actually causes an issue with all calculations that use CALCULATE and thereby shift the context out of the subselect
it seems that you cannot get out of this context using DAX- at least i could not find a solution yet
not even this works:
All Quarter 13F:=CALCULATE([SumTV], ALL('Time'))
the result is always limited to the subselect :/
funny thing is that this only seems to happen with this specific subselects so i guess it is further related to MDX FILTER() or .MemberValue or CDATE()
the only option i could currently think of is to use regular slicers

How do I keep the time and date stamp of my photo when exporting from iphoto

Hi,
I notice the time and date stamp changed when I exported the photos from iPhoto 11 to a external HDD.
When I looked at the information about the exported photos on my external HDD the time and date changed to the time and date of when I exported the photos form iPhoto instead of keeping the time and date information of when the photo was taken as it appears in iPhoto.
I thought the time and date stamp is in the meta data of the photo file and can't be changed, am I correct?

Need to know how to check the outbound queue in SAP for data flow into CRM

I have changed an entry in Customer Master Data in Sap r/3 and this change has come fine to CRM system.I checked the inbound BDOC in CRM ( Trn:SMW01) and it has come fine into CRM system.I am also able to see the affected field in CRM with new value.
I need to know how to check this from SAP side i.e. I have checked the outbound IDOC list (WE02) but could not find the record.
Is there any other way in SAP that i can check?
Also please let me know if there is any other way except IDOC in SAP to send data from R/3 to CRM?

Hi Abhinav,
There are no IDOCs generated in R/3 for replication. R/3 system calls BAPI and Function modules remotely on CRM system which are part of the Adaptors provided for middleware.
Try to deregister the outbound queues in R/3 (Transaction SMQS) and see if you get an entry in the Outbound Queue (Transaction SMQ1). I have not tried this.
If you don't get any entry in the outbound queue then definitely there would be some FM at R/3 end which would be calling CRM system remotely.

Extendscript variables undefined when triggered from PostFrameMakerDocUpdate event

I am trying to run an Extendscript script in RH10.0.1.292.
This script is registered to the PostFrameMakerDocUpdate event so that it runs evey time I update my FM sources.
Every time I Update or Force Update, when the script runs, I get an 'undefined variable' message.
However, when I run the same script from within RoboHelp, or from the ExtendScript Toolkit, everything is fine. The script runs to completion without any errors.
Initially, the undefined variable is a global (defined at the top of the file before any functions)

If I move Rev into the only function where it is used, I get another error: the numParaStyles is now an undefined variable. This is a local variable, defined in the one and only function where it is ued.

This script is is based on the Reference Page Image Updater.jsx script included in the

Since the script works find from the ExtendScript Toolkit and from within RoboHelp, I suspect something is happening to mess up with the script's variable scoping when the script is run in response to an event. But that's just a guess. I am not an expert in JavaScript, let alone ExtendScript.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? Is there something I can do to prevent the error messages?

Extendscript doesn't work nice with globals if you are using scripting
events. In my experience, the easiest workaround is to create functions
that create globals and call that function in the function linked to an
event. Personally, I normally make a script and then add an extra
function specifically for events that initiates any globals and then
runs the script normally. There's no easy fix, sorry.
