Data form input value does not equal spread value
***Edit on this.
Hyperion Planning 9.3.1.2, we are testing out a new application and data form. The data form has the users enter in at the year total level and then spreads out the 12 months upon save.
If I enter in 100 then save or toggle off then back on the cell, the data form shows as 99.999999999 both on the form and in Essbase via export.
Our form has the decimals set to a Max of 2 for currency, non-currency and percentage
Are their any rounding issues in 9.3.1 with using the spread technique?
Curious to find if others are have or have experienced this problem

Still not getting the warm fuzzy. Oracle indicates that this is a Java issue and not a Hyperion issue. It is how Java handles numeric values.
I indicated that it is a view issue and I need a fix.
I got Bug 8540616 for this but now I am trying to find the eta on this

GR Qty value does not equal the value
Hi,
In PO,there have been 4 GRs where the Qty does not equal the Value. How has this happened?
Could you please suggest me why the difference has come.
Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
VeenaHi,
Yes.you are right.My suggestion does not work here.
Mr.Adam has given the perfect solution.
But the problem is the limitations on availability to
define Before aggregation as the aggregation property
for CKF,even in Version older than 7.
So try to implement the solution given by Mr.Adam with
reference to version7 in your query even though your
version is less than version 7.

KE5Z drilldown report does not equal grr3 report values
Hello,
We have a grr3 report where the COGS line is based on functional area and account ranges. The total displayed on the GRR3 report for the COGS cell matches the values I would expect based on the specified account and functional area restrictions assigned to that cell. When I drill into the KE5Z report (Profit Center: Actual Line Items), which is identified as a receiver report, the summed value of the "In Company Code Currency" field does not equal what is displayed in GRR3. The GRR3 report is returning results in the same currency as the company code currency that the report is being executed for so that is not the problem. During my investigation it looks like the functional area restrictions are not being accounted for when I drill into KE5Z. Any recommendations on why the restrictions identified for the cell in the GRR3 report would not be carried through to the KE5Z results? I have been playing with this for hours and have run out of ideas. I can't determine why the COGS cell value is different than the actual line items sum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JordanHi Jordan,
in my experience the report-report interface can only pass through selections independently.
To give an example: I had a report painter report with line 1 that had a selection on two characteristics (say cost element A and cost center B) then a second line with selection cost element C and cost center D selected and finally a line with the sum of the two lines above.
Now when I jump to a connected line item report by double-clicking on the line with the sum, the parameters passed on are:
cost centers: B, D
cost element: A, C
Therefore, the sum of my line items is not equal to the sum that I departed from, as I get line items with cost element A and cost center D, for example, a combination that was excluded from my original report.
I hope I made the point clear.
Another possibility is of course, that the receiving report has additional selection active (in the form used in the dril down report) that were not present in the original report

Nikolas

New field in ODS - data value does not flow after activation
Hi,
We have an ODS with some data in it. Now i added a new key figure to the ODS and changed the transfer and update rules accordingly.
The value for this key figure appears in the PSA and the ODS table *40 (before activation table), but after activation the value does not flow to the activated ODS table *00.
Any idea why this is happening?
Pl let me know.
Regards,
PradhibaHi Pratibha
I did not found anything wrong with key figure 0OI_WRBTR in BW system.
Please check the contents of active table in *00 table using SE16 and also using tcode LISTCUBE.
I hope you are not selecting wrong key figure while looking at active data of ODS.

Data type of the base attribute or the base value does not match...
...the assigned expression.
Hello all,
I always get the Error
+<ERROR+
The English message must be something like this:
The data type of the base attribute or the base value does not match the assigned expression.
when I run my mapping. The attribute REGISTRATIONS is NUMERIC (12,2) in the Cube and I map a NUMERIC(12,2) constant in it.
I use a simple OWB-Mapping for loading, but I don't understand why it doesn't function. Other mappings where the attributes are out of a
table I put in a cube are running well.
I tried different things, but nothing fixed my problem. Any idea ?
Thanks a lot for help
MichaelTechnically this is a 'warning' from the server, not an 'error'. This means that the change you made should have been submitted, but you get an warning message on the client. AWM would suppress this warning, but evidently OWB does not. Can you switch to use AWM?
Here is the definition of the warning along with 'cause' and 'action' sections. (Unfortunately these sections are not translated into German for some reason.)
>
02517, 0, "The data type \"%(1)s\" of the base attribute or base measure is different from the mapped expression \"%(2)s\"."
// *Cause: Either the base attribute or base measure with the mapped expression was set to an inconsistent data type, or it was mapped to an expression of a different data type from its fixed data type.
// *Action: When changing a mapped expression for a base attribute or base measure, ensure that the expression has the same data type; otherwise, set the data type of the base attribute or base measure to NULL first. When a base attribute or a base measure has an existing mapped expression, do not set it to a different data type.
>
It is probably safe to ignore this warning, but if you can post the relevant XML for the cube, then will probably be able to spot the problem. I assume that REGISTRATIONS is a measure in the cube CUB_REGISTRATIONS_AW, so this is what you can look for in the XML:
(1) The definition of the base measure along with the datatype. It should be something like this
<Measure>
<BaseMeasure
SQLDataType="NUMBER(12,2)"
ETMeasureColumnName="REGISTRATIONS"
Name="REGISTRATIONS">(2) The mapping info for the measure, which should looks something like this:
<MeasureMap
Name="REGISTRATIONS"
Expression="...">
<Measure Name="REGISTRATIONS"/>
</MeasureMap>I don't know if you can get the XML directly from OWB. If not, then DBMS_CUBE.EXPORT_XML should work (assuming you are in 11.2). You could also attach AWM and save the cube to an XML template. -
Argument error; the number of columns does not equal the number of parameters.
I am using the Database Toolkit (Enterprise Connectivity) to check for a network connection and then send information from a local database to a SQL database on the network if needed. In development of the code I continue to receive Error 1 and the Possible Reason(s) is "Argument error; the number of columns does not equal the number of parameters." I am using the DBToolsSelectData.VI to retrieve data from the local MDB file and the DBToolsInsertData.VI to write it to the SQL file. The collection of the data from the MDB file is successful and the connection and validation of the table and columns in the SQL file is also successful. The error occurs when the Insert VI tries to build the query. The number of columns being written (attempted) does match the number of columns in the data, they are both 16 string arrays.
Ok, it's taken a bit, and I have a solution! It took a while to figure out what the DCT is doing, but it seems to be working now.
The reason for the original error is that you were passing into the insert subVI an array of variants - which the input to the VI coerced into a single variant. You were getting the error because as far as the insert VI was concerned you were only passing it a single data value. The way to get around that was to create a cluster with one element for each column value, convert the cluster to a variant and pass the result to the insert VI - see attachment.
In terms of the other modifications, I made a copy of the endurance.mdb file, emptied it and used it as the destination for the copy.

Multiple selection in Query Panel. Operator Does not equal generates error.
Hi,
I'm using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 and creating Oracle Fusion Web Application with ADF Business Components.
I want to use multiple selection on LOV in ADF Query Panel with Table, but I get the following error
when I use operator "Does not equal":
Error: Unsupported model type.
SelectMany does not support a model of type class java.lang.Integer.
A simple example:
Schema: HR
Generate default Business Components for tables Departments and Employees.
Model:
Create List of Values for EmployeesView(DepartmentId)
List Data Source: DepartmentsView1
List Attribute: DepartmentId
Display Attributes: DepartmentName (UI Hints)
Create View Criteria EmployeesByDepartmentVC for EmployeesView
Criteria Item:
Attribute: DepartmentId
Operator: Equals
Operand: Literal
Select "Support Multiple Value Selection" (UI Hints)
ViewController:
Create blank JSF Page: showEmployees.jspx
Drag EmployeesByDepartmentVC from Data Controls to showEmployees.jspx
Create Query=>ADF Query Panel with Table
Run application.
Press Advanced button.
Select operator "Does not equal" and department names "Administration;Marketing"
Press Search
Error: Unsupported model type.
SelectMany does not support a model of type class java.lang.Integer.
Note: it works fine with operator "Equals"

Why resource cost in Oracle does not equal the total on the routing of Usage.
why resource cost in Oracle does not equal the total on the routing of Usage.
Hi Judy,
I could not reproduce your issue. Is your Project Server patched with the latest SP and CU?
Also can you reproduce this unexpected behavior with another project?
Can you split your screen from the resource usage view, display the resource form and click right on the grey part selecting "schedule"? Then you'll have the scheduled start and finish dates for the resource's assignments. This is to be sure that
you are not missing any parts of the assignments due to a wrong zoom in the timephased grid.
Hope this helps,

VMM 2012R2 UR4 - Version 3.2.7768.0
Not sure when this started happening since I haven't had to update or create a new RunAs account in VMM in some time, but every time I do, either through the console or through PowerShell it throws an error about The specified directory service attribute
or value does not exist. The VMM Service account is the same as it always has been, and other than this issue everything with VMM is working fine. The full text of the error message is below.
I am hoping someone has some ideas because I don't have any more at this point.

Hii ..
need help on this ..
This what I am doing ..
I am using a DATAEXPORT function to export level0 data from my essbase 11.1.2.2 to Microsoft SQL 2008 tables.
So what I did first I exported the level0 data to a flat file using DATAEXPORT and the created the SQL columns by the same in that order only in my SQL table.
When I run it fails with this error:
ODBC Layer Error: [21S01] ==> [[DataDirect][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver][Microsoft SQL Server]Column name or number of supplied values does not match table definition.]

Total Calc Elapsed Time for [test.csc] : [1.44] seconds
=============================================================
I did a simple test on my Sample.basic application then ..
loaded the calc data to it and then used the below script to export to a flat file
//ESS_LOCALE English_UnitedStates.Latin1@Binary
SET DATAEXPORTOPTIONS
DataExportLevel "Level0";
DataExportOverwriteFile ON;
DataExportColFormat OFF;
DataExportDimHeader OFF;
FIX(
"Jan",
"Sales",
"Actual"
/*DATAEXPORT "File" "," "/home/hypadmin/samtest.txt";*/
DATAEXPORT "DSN" "Abhitest" "sample" "sa" "welcome1";
ENDFIX
out put as below:
"Sales"
"100-30","California"
"Jan","Actual",145
Now In sql I created only 3 columns with name Jan/Sales/Actual and when I run this script again with comments removed .. I get the same error as what I have got in my first test case with other application ..
but when I create the columns with same name as what its in export
Sales/100-30/Califirnia/Jan/Actual
It created the new rows successfully ..
So with this I think the error which I am getting with my other application might be because of the same column issue .. but then I have created all the columns by looking at the export file only as I did in sample ..
Any idea would be helpful ..
Thanks
Abhishek
IFirst make sure you add
DataExportRelationalFile ON;
to your set commands it is missing
I alwats like to also add
DataExportColHeader dimensionName;
so I am sure what dimension is getting put into the columns.
Then count the number of dimensions in your outline (exclude attribute dimensions). You need at least that many columns in your table -1 + the number of members you will be returning as columns in the export
Taking your example Sample basic has 5 dimensions
Measures
Years
Scenario
Product
Market
Since you did not specify a dataexportcolheader it took the dense dimension Scenario as the columns. Your fix statement is limiting that to one member. Doing the math
5 -1 + 1 = 5 columns in your table which is what you found works. Suppose you fixed on bothe Actual and budget in scenario then you would need 6 columns 5 -1 +2 -
Error: ORA-16532: Data Guard broker configuration does not exist
Hi there folks. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
Anyways, we have a 10.2.0.4 rac primary and a 10.2.0.4 standby physical standby. We recently did a switchover and the dgbroker files automatically got created in the Oracle_home/dbs location of the primary. Now need to move these files to the common ASM DG. For this, I followd the steps from this doc:
How To Move Dataguard Broker Configuration File On ASM Filesystem (Doc ID 839794.1)
The only exception to this case is that I have to do this on a Primary and not a standby so I am disabling and enabling the Primary(and not standby as mentioned in below steps)
To rename the broker configuration files in STANDBY to FRA/MYSTD/broker1.dat and FRA/MYSTD/broker2.dat, Follow the below steps
1. Disable the standby database from within the broker configuration
DGMGRL> disable database MYSTD;
2. Stop the broker on the standby
SQL> alter system set dg_broker_start = FALSE;
3. Set the dg_broker_config_file1 & 2 parameters on the standby to the appropriate location required.
SQL> alter system set dg_broker_config_file1 = '+FRA/MYSTD/broker1.dat';
SQL> alter system set dg_broker_config_file2 = '+FRA/MYSTD/broker2.dat'
4. Restart the broker on the standby
SQL> alter system set dg_broker_start = TRUE
5. From the primary, enable the standby
DGMGRL> enable database MYSTD;
6. Broker configuration files will be created in the new ASM location.
I did so but when I try to enable the Primary back I get this:
Error: ORA-16532: Data Guard broker configuration does not exist
Configuration details cannot be determined by DGMGRL
Form this link,(Errors setting up DataGuard Broker it would seem that I would need to recreate the configuration....Is that correct ? If yes then how come Metalink is missing this info of recreating the configuration... OR is it that that scenario wouldnt be applicable in my case ?
Thanks for your help.Yes I can confirm from the gv$spparameter view that the changes are effective for all 3 instances. From the alert log the alter system didnt throw u pany errros. I didnt restart the instances though since I dont have the approvals yet. But I dont think thats required.

Report similar to MC$4 that does not show absolute values
Hi all,
We need a report similar to Report similar to MC$4 which has the same drilldown capabilities but does not show absolute values, and instead shows the proper (actual) values.
Or if its possible to change something in the MC$4 report to show the actual values and not the absolute.
Thanks in advance!

Your input criteria should contain all plant numbers and the period to be analyzed. Execute the report and then select: Plant Analysis\Export\Transfer to XXL\Deselect all options and tick Plant, Storage Location and Month. Follow the options to export to Excel. Report will be based on Plant, Storage location and Month.

I ´m surprised for the many posts on people not being able to turn their Ipod´s by pressing the Play/pause button and nobody from Apple care to answer! It is definitively an Ipod firmware issue (the button works for other functions). My Ipod refuses
