Data from BEx back to cube

Is there a possibility to move data from Bex result back to BW cube or some info-provider as there is a requirement to get the data from Bex which includes heavy calculations and to be used back in the cube?

what is the best way to select data from BW queries or cubes and get them back to r/3- just for some reporting tasks????

The best way is to have a info spoke and get it read by a program in r/3. While defining the info spoke you have some options for selecting the characteristics values and also some transformation features besides some BAdi.
If you use BPS, you have the option of using retractors , but retractors are supported for a few specific areas like CCA , PS.

The problem is that... some requests had been eliminated of the cube and the delta control between the ODS and CUBE was lost. The flag "<b>data mart status of request</b>" of all the requests of the ODS had been blank.
Now it is necessary to load some requests from the ODS for the cube.
Notes:
- it is not possible to make a complete load selecting the data to be loaded;
- the PSA is not being used;
- considering the data volume it is impracticable to reload the cube completely.

Considering the following:
-> the delta control was lost;
-> the data already are active in the ODS;
-> part of the data of the ODS already is in the cube.
The indicated procedure it only guarantees the load of the data that are in the ODS and that are not in the cube.

I want to know how to fetch data from three different Essbase cubes in to HFR or smart view reports.

If you create a multiple data source Financial Reports report, you get the best of both worlds:
1) No code required reports
2) You can view the reports in Workspace
3) You can view the FR reports in SmartView
Unless you really need it, I wouldn't go down the SmartView/VBA path, especially as you lose all ad-hoc capability with a mutli sheet retrieval with code. There are costs associated with going down the path of template reporting (which is what you are now talking about). See this thread for a good discussion of those costs:

Bex reprort is not fetching data from Aggregates scanning whole cube data

Hi All,
I am facing the problem in aggregates..
For example when i am running the report using Tcode RSRT2, the BW report is not fetching the data from Aggregates.. instead going into the aggregate it is scanning whole cube Data....
FYI.. Checked the characteristcis is exactely matching with aggregates..
and also it is giving the message as:
Characteristic 0G_CWWPTY is compressed but is not in the aggregate/query
Can some body explain me about this error message.. pls let me know solution asap..

1) Check the activation of aggregates.
2) check whether the check box in infocube manage rollup is checked.

Import data from text file to cube

Hi,
I'm trying to load data from a text file to a cube.
Just as an experiment, I exported data from a cube into a file. Then wrote a script to import the same file back into the cube - It works fine.
After this i deleted some time members from the outline and tried loading - but it errored out -
ERROR MESSAGE : Unknown Member [2007-11-06] in Data Load, [22] Records Completed.
I want the valid records to be loaded and the invalid ones rejected but this is not happening.
This is the command i use:
IMPORT 3 "/PATH/Filename.txt" 4 "n" 2 "IMP001.rul" "n" "/PATH/error.txt";
I'm not using a rule file for this as it was not working fine with a rule file(IMP001).
Please let me know how i can proceed with the import by just rejecting the records where members are not found in the outline.

Yes, the question wasn't intended to recommend it as a solution, but a recurring need for this type of manipulation could point to a more robust answer without making it overly complex.
The "end version" of what I envisioned included a temporary cube that included all members ever loaded, and UDA's assigned to the "current set", for use in an export/import process. The export would be the source for the rebuild of the production cube. This end vision seemed a little on the complex side, but it would be robust and work long term. There are obviously different ways to simplify this approach.
The simplification that my question was aimed for is to eliminate the use of a template outline from a theoretical approach I've used in the past (in a round about way). In essence, if you can leave the members in the production cube and just clear the data, you could use a flag value that is loaded to create a D-C value (say, on scenario) to perform the extract. Loading a "1" would generate output, and a "0" to suppress output (using "scenario" * "flag" for the report value). Deleting the member is thus not needed but done "virtually" with the flag on the output side.
I know, my crazy thinking is not easy to follow, even for me -- but thinking out of the box serves me well most of the time.

Time machine backups. I went to migration assistant a few hours ago and limited my selection to "users", no need for applications, settings and other files. Stuff started moving over at a fast pace but has now seemed to stall.
I will let it run overnight as there are lots of songs and photos as well as a few movies.
If that does not work, then I will go into TM and try restore. I have restored some things in the past such a mail files and it has worked well.
The Apple fellow at the store told me to go right into TM, he may have had a point. I'll get it eventually.

How to fetch data from a SAP BW Cube via Perl/PHP on a Linux machine?

here's the scenario:
I need to fetch data from a cube of a remote SAP NetWeaver 7. The data will later be used in a web application based on Linux and Perl/PHP. (I'd prefer using perl for the backend and doing the business logic of the web application.)
I have:
A Linux system with all its on-board tools and scripting languages.
A user for the SAP BW which allows me to logon (very,very limited user rights, no se37,no se80,no rsaX and so on)
Access to http://<SAP BW Server>:<Port>/sap/bw/xml/soap/xmla with the above mentioned user.
My questions:
- Could you please push me into the right direction how I can realize this? E.g. by pointing to tutorials / HowTos / sample code / CPAN modules etc.. (Most information I found so far referred to software based on a different operating system and on remote function calls using custom functions.)
- I'm aware of the SAPNW::RFC CPAN module, but do I necessarily have to perform a remote function call? ( If so, is there a "standard" function I could call for accessing a cube?)

Integrated Planning - trying to load data from basic to realtime cube

I have created a mulitprovider for my basic and realtime cube, and trying to copy data from basic to realtime using standard copy function in IP. It is not erroring out but data is not getting copied either. Both cubes having exactly the same structure. I can do a export datasource or a BPS multiplanning area..but I need a solution in IP..Any help would be appreciated...Thanks much..

Agg Level --> Selected fields need to be copied
Filter --> None selected, wanted to copy as is
Pl. Fnc --> Standard Copy.
                char usage: Selected infoprovider for 'changed'
                to parameters: selected all key figs ( percent and amount)
                from and to values: Basic to realtime

Recovering Data from a Back-up

So I just recently dropped my iPhone into a gutter full of water. Yes it ***** but I'm over it (mostly). Now I know each time you update the software it makes a backup copy of your iphone. Is there anyway to retrieve all that data? If I buy a new iPhone and activate it, will it ask me if I want to restore the data from my old one?

Yes, I had to get a new iPhone too (previous one defective) and once plugged in you can choose to restore it from a back up. You can choose an iPhone and it will sync everything to the phone EXACTLY as it was before. You just have to sync music after. After that though it will be like the same exact iPhone with no hassles.

Errror while loading data from dso to info cube....

When i am running dtp from dso to cube i get a error i.e :
1. Data package processing terminated
     Message no. RSBK229
2. 'Processed with Errors'
     Message no. RSBK257
3. Error while updating to target 0FIGL_C10 (type INFOCUBE)
    Message no. RSBK241.
     So these are the errors i am getting , i am new to BI so how could i solve this errors....
     All the transformation are active with no errors.

Now i deleted data from dso and data source and again run the dtp,
this time i got data from data-source to dso but , when i am running dtp between dso and cube , i am not finding an error.
Now when i go to cube and see the data the request has came but data has not transferred .....
The Request Status is green in cube but data is not cuming....

Transfering data from iPhone BACK to Mac

Hi. My Mac's hard drive recently crashed and everything is wiped out. I have a new hard disk now.
My question is: How do I transfer data FROM my iPhone... BACK to my Mac? I would like to transfer data from my iCal, iTunes, iPhotos and contacts.
Would appreciate some advice. It's been a very frustrating experience. I don't want to screw up and end up deleting all my data from my iPhone instead.

While I have read and checked, and looked into this topic, there
isn't a whole bunch of stuff that is easily found via online search
even if the search terms or words are changed around quite a bit.
For just moving iTunes music, that is easier than data; and I can
see the need to re-integrate data and your stuff back to a Mac
especially if you need to restore the computer, should it fail. The
items on an iPhone or iPod Touch, etc, would be essential to a
multi-tasking user who has a home base and needs to save and
use this stuff between several devices you have and own.
Most of the sync information on how to move stuff, tends to delete
the peripheral content from the iPod, iPhone, etc and sets them
back to some pre-used state or default initialization. There must
be some other way, that actually lets the user take control over
items so you can archive and restore, or reuse them in your Mac.
So, with the odds not looking good, on retaining content should
one go through with the often suggested sync or other wiping
results of attaching a Mac to a portable iPod, etc, be careful to
not do that unless you have that content somewhere else first!
Is there a way you could use a gmail account to save and move
items, perhaps if you can upload content there, it can be saved
into a computer via email (wireless, etc) and save it that way?
For the iTunes music, you could check into and see if this thing
called (iTunes, backward) may work. I have not read a lot about
it, though it has been around awhile. Not sure what else it can do.
