  • Data import for users of forms created with Livecycle Designer

    Hello,
I have seen several posts regarding data import for forms created by Livecycle Designer but nothing that helps with something I am trying to accomplish.  I can create a data connection and import information in a form but what I would like to do is import data, then send the pdf for completion to a user.  There are a few data elements that I have available and the rest of the information comes from from the user.  The problem I run into is once I create a data connection, the pdf is ALWAYS looking for the source file for that data.  I simply want to prepopulate some fields and send to the various users for completion.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

Which type of Data Connection are you trying to create?
XML Schema, Sample Data File or WSDL?
Creating any one of first two types(mentioned above) will only create schema and will never import any data into PDF.
If you create the WSDL connection, you can surely import data (i.e. prepopulate data) into your PDF and forward it for users review/fill.
If I misunderstood your question, please get me clarified.

  • Iptc and xmp, data important for organizing photos?

HI, I keep encountering these two acronyms (IPTC and XMP) while working with my photos in Aperture.  Are these data important, should I be doing anything with it?  Essentially what I am doing is, after importing photos from iPhoto, I am filing to Folders, Projects, and Albums (some Smart). Thanks

    Astechman,
EXIF (which you didn't ask about) is Exchangable Interchange Format, and those fields are generally physical attributes about your photos, as recorded by your camera.  Things like date/time, aperture, shutter speed, etc.  Some people like to think they should be able to change those, but that doesn't make any sense (except if your camera's clock is wrong.)
IPTC (International Press Telecommunications Council) data is used in digital media as metadata for the author to put things.  These include things like keywords, location narratives, copyright notice, photographer name.  I.e., things that don't have anything to do with the camera or the physical attributes of the photo, but about the subject/content of the photo or the photographer.
XMP adds onto IPTC, and is often associated with a "sidecar" file, in which a digital asset manager system (DAMS) saves extra metadata to such a file.  (Aperture is a DAMS, but it does not use sidecar files; it keeps data like that within the library.)
As for what you should be doing with it -- that's up to you.  How much metadata do you want associated with your photos?  Fill in those fields and just ignore the rest.  I tend to fill in keywords and copyright, and that's about it, but there are many other fields that may be of interest to you.

  • Data import for CAF generated tables

    Hello,
I developed a CAF application with custom Web Dynpro UI. As the persistency up to now just consists of "Local persistency", all the data is stored in CAF tables on my NW2004s system. I know that I can create records "by hand" in the Service Browser. But it's time consuming and I have more than 10.000 records.
How can I import data to these tables? Are there any upload functions for csv/xls or any other file types?
    Thanks and regards
    Joschi

    hi all,
As u all discussed about importing data into sql tables form CAF database,i understud the concept.
can you please provide me step by step approach or any document to do this practically.
im new to CAF development.I want to practice a scenario on CAF Remote persistency, for that
i want to utilise sql tables into CAF entity services and develop some functionality(Using CRUD) methods.
i konw that to utilse sql tables, call those tables into java application and expose it as webservice and using caf external service we have to capture that webservice.
    is that correct approach..
can anyone explain the clear procedure..(or any document)
how can i achieve remote persistency of caf in  case of sql server.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Incorrect dates imported for wage display

    Hi All
I am working on an issue for wrong wages shown in the report, these wages are imported from memory and from DB PCL2, through RT cluster.
For only a few employees, the date in VERSC, and RT imports previous dates say 2004, even if we are giving it as 2007.
I checked with the exports and found that program RPCALCU0 exports the values to the Database PCL2.But there as far as I have checked the values for the current period gets exported, as I have passed that in Selection Screen.
I am not able to find out anything as this is happening with only few PERNRs say 2-3.
Has anyone faced this problem ever before ? or if you have any suggestions that can help me out, I shall be really grateful.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

My favorite tool for changing dates is "A Better Finder Attributes".

  • Data Import from Excel for Items

I have used the data import for items, in the past , to import the prices for existing item. I am using this for the first time in SAP version 9.0. There are new fields due to the additional currencies. In an running a test with two items and two price list codes, code 1 and code 10. When I run the import gets stuck in a loop and keeps giving me errors on line 1 with invalid price code.
I want to import two price lists Price List 1 and Price List 10. For example I want price list 1 to be $10.00 and price lit 10 to be $5.00
In the import from excel I have the following fields
    A  Item Number
    B  Price List Code
C  Unit Price - Primary Currency
    D  Primary Currency
    E  Unit Price - Additional Currency 1
    F  Additional Currency 1
    G  Unit Price - Additional Currency 2
    H  Additional Currency 2
    I  UoM Code
    J  Price List Code
K  Unit Price - Primary Currency
    L  Primary Currency
    M  Unit Price - Additional Currency 1
    N  Additional Currency 1
    O  Unit Price - Additional Currency 2

    C 10.00
    J 10
    K 5.00
This is the way I use this function in SAP versions 2007 and 8.8
    Any suggestions

    Hi Gordon,

  • Data import from ECC to MDG via MDMGX tool for CC group and CC hierarchy

    Hello,
We currently in process of importing data from ECC to MDG (co-deployed).
The MDMGX guide we follow mention about Accout (ACCA), Cost Center(CCTR) and Profit Center (PCTR).
While doing DIF, it shows above 3 domains but didnt mention about how cost center group(CCTRG), Cost center hierarchy (CCTRH) and same with profit center group (PCTRG) and profit center hierarchy (PCTRH) will be imported to MDG?
is there seperate process to bring hierarchy data from ECC to MDG?
    Thnx in advance
    Sahil

    Hello Sahil
With MDMGX you can load individual master data but for group and hierarchies, you have to use the old procedure. If you ask me, then the MDMGX takes longer time rather that downloading the data in file from tables directly and upload it in MDG.
Go through this document and load the hierarchy and group data.

  • Source Data from OLE DB staging area to Import for FDM

Hi ! Please help me out on Integartion of Oracle to FDM
I want to load data into FDM directly fom Oracle database through an Integration Script.
How to take Source Data from OLE DB staging area to Import for FDM?
My main intension to import data for FDM from Oracle DB where there is no manual intervention and it could be safe. We are taking Actual data through Oracle Apps and keep that data into Oracle DB for further process.
FDM can also import data from Oracle Data Base Source means I need procedure/script to import data from Oracle data base staging area where we keep some data for HFM to enter the data on monthly basis.
OLEDB----->Import FDM-------> Export to HFM (Procedure\script without manual intervention)
Here in OLEDB data comes cumulative from Day or week to Month basis for inputing to HFM applicaiton.(Actual)
    Regards and Thanks.

You will want to look at the FDM Admin Guide
    Look for Integration Import Scripts
There are a few pages that cover what you are trying to do. If you do not know VBScript it might be benefitial to tap someone who does or brush up on ADO.
    Hope this helps

  • BICA import data only for specific period

    Hello,
when using BI connector (BICA) and importing data, is it possible to set for which period (month) to import data?
Because now I see that it deletes all the data and imports for all months, which I think is not performance wise.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Nerijus.

Also, why connection between PAS and BW is kept, even after both schema and data import into PAS?
If I break connection, I can see from logs that DAT171:Unable to do drillthrough operation is being spammed due to connection failure, so it seems it checks for connection frequently.
Why is it needed when I have both schema and data imported?

My dad & I both have iPhone 5s. He no longer uses his & my screen is cracked. If I switch our SIM cards, what data will be lost? It is important for me to save/transfer all photos, video, & *especially* all text messages. When the SIM cards are swapped between phones, will any of these things be lost/deleted?

    helloitsm wrote:
Thank you! I would prefer not to wipe his phone. My cracked screen iPhone still works, so I would ideally like to put his SIM card in my phone for occasional use. As mentioned, he is not using his iPhone anymore for phone calls, but would like to maintain access to photos, video, and all texts. As I use an iPhone for calls, trading the cracked screen is ideal. If I am able to switch them without losing data, I will, but am afraid to do so if there is a chance that any data will be erased. (I'm not sure if the photos, video, and -namely- texts are saved to the actual SIM card. Can text messages be backed up?
iPhone do not store anything on the sim.
Photos should be saved on computer like any other digital camera.
You can restore the backup for your dad as well as for yourself while swapping phones.

  • Approval Activation for data import

    Hi,
I will be importing my sales order, purchase order, GRPO and Delivery through DTW. However I want all these transactions to be subject to approvals. But when I imported a PO through DTW it bypassed the approval procedures. Please let me know if this is how it works or I need to change the way I am importing the transaction.
    Thanks

    Dear Kapil,
You just restrict user for data import but In standeard system you cant set approval for data import.

  • Open data slice for data entry and close afterwards

    Dear all,
I have created one data slice for a characteristic combination country xy in order to prevent the data entry within the data entry query for the user. But for some reason I have to run a planning function in order to summarize some values and write a total value in the characteristic e.g. country xy.
The planning function brings out an error message because this can not be executed due to the fact that this combination is protected.
Is there a way to open the data slice before the planning function is writing the data in the cube? I have tried to to this in the Data slice exit, but I do not have an idea how to open the DS, save the data and close the DS again.
We are running NW BI 7.0. Any ideas would be great.
    Best regards,
    Stefan from Munich/Germany

I did something like this by creating an FM and calling that FM from a FOX function. I think you will have to use three commands to execute three functions one after the other (and not combine them in one planning sequence) - first one will switch off the data slice, next will be your planning function containing the logic, and the last will switch it back on.
The FM would be something like below:
    FUNCTION Z_SWITCH_DSLICE.
    *"*"Local Interface:
    *"  IMPORTING
    *"     REFERENCE(I_INFOPROV) TYPE  RSINFOPROV
    *"     REFERENCE(I_DSNR) TYPE  RSPLS_DSNR
    *"     REFERENCE(I_STATUS) TYPE  I
*** This function imports the name of a real-time Infoprovider and a Data Slice number
***        and a parameter I_STATUS. If I_STATUS is 1, data slice is activated
    ***        If I_STATUS is -1, data slice is de-activated
    data wa_ds type rspls_ds.
    select single * from rspls_ds
            into wa_ds
            where infoprov = I_INFOPROV
              AND objvers = 'A'
              AND dsnr = I_DSNR.
    if I_status = 1.
       wa_ds-used = 'X'.
    elseif I_status = -1.
       wa_ds-used = ''.
    endif.
    update rspls_ds from wa_ds.
    ENDFUNCTION.
The Fox code will be like below -
    CALL FUNCTION Z_SWITCH_DSLICE
        EXPORTING
           I_INFOPROV = <infoprov name>
           I_DSNR = <Data Slice Number>
           I_STATUS = <0 or 1>.
