Data issue in DSO
Hi Experts,
I have 2 DSO's, the first ODS gets data from r/3 and and the second DSO gets dats from 1st DSO.
The key fields and datafields in first DSO is as below.
Key Fields Data Filed
ZMST_NO, ZLOG_NO, ZCH_ON and ZCH_AT. ZMSSTAT
The key fields and data field in second DSO are as below.
Key Fields Data Filed
ZMST_NO, 0CALMONTH, 0CALQUARTER and 0CALYEAR ZMSSTAT
I have the correct data in 1st DSO as in r/3. Please see the below data.
ZMST_NO , ZLOG_NO, ZCH_ON, ZCH_AT. ZMSSTAT
903027 15024 10.02.2009 10:05:28 35
903027 15029 10.02.2009 15:23:47 50
The key fields of 2nd DSO are mapped as below at the updaterule.
ZMST_NO to ZMST_NO,
0CALMONTH to ZCH_ON,
0CALQUARTER to ZCH_ON and
0CALYEAR to ZCH_ON.
When I check the data in 2nd DSO, I get the below record(which shows the wrong status as 35 which was the status at 10:05:28 on 10.02.2009 )
ZMST_NO 0CALMONTH 0CALQUARTER 0CALYEAR ZMSSTAT
903027 200902 20091 2009 35
But I should have the latest status (i.e 50) of the record as below ( which is the latest status, which was the status at 15:23:47 on 10.02.2009 )
ZMST_NO 0CALMONTH 0CALQUARTER 0CALYEAR ZMSSTAT
903027 200902 20091 2009 50
There are no routines at updaterules. Please suggest me why the status is shown as 35 instead of 50.
Please through some light on this.
Thanks in advance.
Saravanan.
Hi,
The order is as below.
ZMST_NO , ZLOG_NO, ZCH_ON, ZCH_AT. ZMSSTAT
903027 15024 10.02.2009 10:05:28 35
903027 15029 10.02.2009 15:23:47 50
First record has record number as 12845 and the second has 12846. This is the order of records when loading from R/3 to 1st DSO. I dont have PSA between 1st and 2nd DSO's. But I see the data record number as 47567 in change log table of 2nd DSO for the record with status 35.
I have written wrong earlier ... i have checked now if records of same key comes in the same request only one will go the other will be overwritten... this can't be checked in change log...........
only one record out of two will go to new table ... and when activated that only will go to the active and change log......
But records of same key in different request come then u can check in change log..........
As you said u are getting status 35 once u have loaded this to dso before activation check for this record
if you find Status 35 it means it has overwritten the record with status 50.

Data Loading Issue to DSO.
hi experts,
I am trying to Load data to a DSO say XBUG.
This contains the fields like PO Number ,item, company code,gl account, and keygiure amount.
the system behavves in different manner in each case.
Note : There is a routine in the field level.
1) i don't have any problem in loading when i do it Record by record.
2) if i do the junk of the same records it fails.
3) some times if the junk loading fails i break it like 10 PO's one time and then 10 Po's one time. then it goes fine.
4) if still fails i take the sort order and do .
but all these cases are not constant each day it behaves in different manner ,one day goes fine next time fails.
please help me.
regards
LaxmanFirst of all i would like to know which all error messages you have recieved during the failures???
When you do record by record, Is it successful for all the records?
What i am guessing there could be chance that few records are invalid and they are not being identified by system.
May be you have not maintained semantic key in DTP so no errorneous records are shown in error stack??
Also check that you have sufficient batch processes continuesly on your system to process all Data Packages together??
Also i would suggest you to debug the load and find out where exactly it fails?? -
Hi All ..
We are facing one data issue DSO. One record is worngly loaded with some project iD ( Ex record is having ID GE1234 insted of having LE4423) remaining details are same . we are loading the data furtherly to master data table from the DSO. if i try for reporting for project id LE4423 ,information not avilable because it is heaving wrong ID,it is key also. But in the Source system (CFG) side Data is correct with ID LE4423.
In update rule we are following one to one mapping for all infoobjects. My requirement is i need to have in my DSo LE4423 . I need to overwrite the record id GE1234 with LE4423 without affecting other fields in the record.
Shall i load till PSA with the ID LE4423 ..then if load this single record to DSO will overwrite the GE1234 by choosing other field as key field. but we are following one to one mapping in update rule.
Please help me on this. i need to hev a correct id for record.
Thanks ,
Prem. You can use selective deletion to delete the record with Project ID = GE1234
Load the data till PSA
Load the data to DSO using selection Project ID = LE4423 in DTP from PSA.
check in further data targets also for mismatch of data
Hope it helps,

Master data Issue --- materials have unassigned or # values ...!!
Hello Experts,
I am facing an issue that the Customer Data is missing in a BEx Report.
Data Flow is 2LIS_13_VDITM --> DSO1 --> Merging DSO --> Cube --> Multiprovider --> Bex Report.
Exact issue is Customers in the Bex Report has unassigned to Sales Office, Sales Group, Sales District.
The only reason a customer should show up under u201Cunassignedu201D or u201C#u201D is if itu2019s improperly set up in the system.
customers are assigned with two values. one which has data and the other which has unassigned value.
I wanted to know, how do i check if the matierials are valid to have unassigned Values ?
Checked the Merging DSO and saw that there are actually values assigned values for the affected matierials.
After that checked the Cube data values are displayed except the Master Data values.
I guess..its completely related to Master data. I would like to know how can i resolve this issue.
Please reply me if you face this kind of master data issue in your expeiriance.
Thanks,
SN.Hi,
Are Sales Office, Sales Group, Sales District are attributes of Customer?
In case they are, then the customers will be unassigned to Sales Office, Sales Group, Sales District in case the data for these attributes is loaded to the customer attributes.
and also check if the customer characteristic is properly assigned in the multiprovider.
Check if it helps.

164Hi Hardeep,
Looks like the transformation and DTP need to be activated again.
The error is RSBK (299) - 'Invalid program status'. So please activate the transformation and DTP possibly activate the DSO's too.
It should then work.
Thanks

Adding leading zeros before data loaded into DSO
Hi
In below PROD_ID... In some ID leading zeros are missing before data loaded into BI from SRM into PROD_ID. Data type is character. If leading zeros are missing then data activation of DSO is failed due to missing zeros and have to manually add them in PSA table. I want to add leading zeros if they're missing before data loaded into DSO.... total character length is 40.. so e.g. if character is 1502 then there should be 36 zeros before it and if character is 265721 then there should be 34 zeros. Only two type of character is coming either length is 4 or 6 so there will be always need to 34 or 36 zeros in front of them if zeros are missing.
Can we use CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHPA_INPUT functional module ? As this is char so I'm not sure how to use in that case.. Do need to convert it first integer?
Can someone please give me sample code? We're using BW 3.5 data flow to load data into DSO.... please give sample code and where need to write code either in rule type or in start routine...Hi,
Can you check at info object level, what kind of conversion routine it used by.
Use T code - RSD1, enter your info object and display it.
Even at data source level also you can see external/internal format what it maintained.
if your info object was using ALPHA conversion then it will have leading 0s automatically.
Can you check from source how its coming, check at RSA3.
if your receiving this issue for records only then you need to check those records.

Problem in loading data from one DSO to onother DSO in BI7
Hi
Iam loading data from one DSO to onother, After executing DTP Iam getting error message as "Aggregation NOP not allowed on DB (key figure 0DSCT_DAYS1) ", Here 0DSCT_DAYS1 is the keyfigure aggragation type is "NOP" , exception aggregation is " No aggregation(X if more than one value unique to 0 occurs)"
Please kindly give me solution .
Radha KrishnaWe had this issue in our project. It mainly arises when you have written start routine in transformation. At start routine level it can not aggregate the fields for which NOP is set & that's why it throws an error.
Please check the load by removing the start routine. If it works then introduce a data target in between which has exactly same structure as previous data target except the fields with NOP aggregation. -
Loading Master Data into a DSO
Hi Experts,
I am unable to analyse whether loading data from Master Data InfoObject into a DSO will cause performance issues or will that work fine.
I was trying to do the same. Awaiting for your inputs on that.
Thanks,
VijayLatha,
Loading master data into a DSO can be done using the following steps:
1) Right click on the DSO and select Create transformation... option.
2) In the dialog box that appears, select Object Type as InfoObject and in the text box right below you give the name of the object.
3) In Subtype of Object selection, select attribute or text as per your needs.
4) select ok and you should see the transformation, map and activate the transformation.
5) create DTP and run it.
Hope this helps, [ you got my name wrong im vijay] -
Hi
If I need to calculate amount based on source and destination, and if these two source and destination fields char are there in data fields of dso and keyfigure amount is also in data fields of DSO can we get exact value if make report on this.
thx
rubaneActually i need to build report where in rows there will be some char
like source plant and destination plant and in rows on the basis of source and destination the cummulated value of amount base on some other few restriction
now my question is :-
acc to my need I need to make genric extractor but one is already there which contains all my fields. now can i use the same extractor, but the worry is ;these all feilds are first going in dso and all are there in data fields coloumn
What I'm thinking is; it will suppress or accumulte records on the basis of key field's(as usual).
so can you pls let me know what to do in this scenario?
how to build a new report using existing extractor ;can i use existing one?

Data exists in DSO New table but not in Active table
Guys,
I am loading data from one DSO to another DSO, in my target DSO I have 6 fields which 2 of them are mapped in Transformation and remaining 4 will be populated by Start routine and End routines. Before Activating I am seeing all 6 fields got populated in New data table but after activating I am only seeing the 2 fields in Active data table but not those that are populated through Start and End rouitnes.
I have only one Key in my DSO, am I missing something here?please let me know.
Thanks,
KKHi,
beside end routine, there will be one icon.
click on that.
you will see two options.
select the option "populate values into fields with out active transformation rules"
don't remember the words correctly but gives the same meaning...
Activate the transformation.
this will solve your problem

Raghu

Unable to consolidate data from two DSOs into an InfoCube for reporting.
Hello Experts
I am working on BW 7.0 to create BEx Report as below:
This report will have data coming from two different sources, some data from COPA DSO [such as Customer Number, Product Hierarchy1, Product Hierarchy2, Product Hierarchy3, Product Hierarchy4. Product Hierarchy5, Product Hierarchy6 and a few other Key Figures] and the rest [such as Product Hierarchy, Reference Document, Condition Type (both Active & Inactive), Condition Value and a few other Key Figures] from another DSO (ZSD_DS18) which is a copy of the BCT DSO (0SD_O06). I've chosen this DSO because this is the BCT DSO which is used to store data from a Standard Extractor 2LIS_13_VDKON.
Below are the screenshots of these 2 DSOs:
I have successfully extracted the data from 2LIS_13_VDKON (includes PROD_HIER but not Customer Number) and loaded into a DSO (ZSD_D17).
All the testing is done using only one Sales Document No (VBELN).
First test that I tried is.. to create an Infocube and loaded data from ZCOPA_01 and ZSD_DS18 and when the LISTCUBE was run on this InfoCube, the data is coming up in two different lines which is not very meaningful. Screenshot below:
Therefore, I have created another DSO (ZSD_DS17) to Consolidate the data from ZCOPA_01 & ZSD_DS18 establishing mappings between some of common Chars such as below:
ZCOPA_01 ZSD_DS18
0REFER_DOC <-> 0BILL_NUM
0REFER_ITM <-> 0BILL_ITEM
0ME_ORDER <-> 0DOC_NUMBER
0ME_ITEM <-> 0S_ORD_ITEM
51 records are loaded from ZSD_DS18 into ZSD_DS17 and 4 records are loaded from ZCOPA_01 into ZSD_DS17 for a particular Sales Document Number.
When I am using a Write-Optimized DSO, data is coming in just 1 line but it is showing only 4 lines which is aggregated which is as expected since W/O DSO aggregates the data. However, when I use Standard DSO, the data is again splitting up into many lines.
Is there something that I am missing in here while designing the Data Model or does this call for some ABAP being done, if so, where or should I have to talk to the Functional Lead and then Enhance the Standard Extractor, and even if I do that, I would still have to bring in those Key Figures from ZCOPA_01 for my reporting?
Thank you very much in advance and your help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Chanduin your (current) InfoCube setup, you could work with "constant selection" on the key figures
for the COPA key figures, you'll need to add product hierarchy to the key figures with a selection of # and constant selection flagged
for the SD key figures, you'll have to do the same for customer & the product hierarchy levels (instead of product hierarchy) -
Hello SAP Guru's!!!!
I have some doubt on maximum number of data fields in DSO. I gone through so many threads on SCN, but could not clarify my doubt.
The max no of key fields in DSO is -- 16
Max no of data fields in DSO is --749.
But i read in some of the scn documents a table can have maximum 256 columns .
DSO is also like a two dimensional table which can also have the same properties of a two dimensional table.
if the above statement of mine is correct.. the number of columns in a DSO is 256 columns = 16(primary key)+240 (data fields--non key fields)
but how come 749 data fields (max) will be there ? if it is so ... the max no of fields will be 749+16 = 765.
I need some clarification on this ....
Awaiting for your responses!!!!
regards,
vamshiHi Rajavamshi,
For DSO:
1. See for Standard DSO we have Key fields & Data Fields will be there
2. Key Fields will store only Characterisitc Info Objects, maximum no.of characteristic info object we can add here was 16
3. But in Data fields we can add both Characterstics & Keyfigure infoobjects, Max of 749 data fields we can add here.
4. Atleast one field should be there in either Key fields & Data fields.
For InfoCube :
1. Info cube structure will be having the 16 Dimensions and the Key Fields.
2. In that 16 Dimensions 13 User defined and the 3 pre defined dimensions.
3. One user defined Dimension will maximum can hold 248 Characteristics Info Object, not the Keyfigure Info Object here.
4. But the Key Fields here will store maximum will hold 233 Key Figure Info Object.
Thanks..!!

Hi gurus
We have a typical problem, we have to combined 2 records into one when they reach to DSO.
One source is flat file and the other is R3. so few fields I am geting from flat file and few from R3 . They are creating one record when they loaded to DSO . Now I am getting one record in active data table but when I load the data to cube from that DSO ( Data is going from change log to cube ) to cube , I am getting 2 seperate records ( one which is loaded from flat file and one which is loaded from R3 ) in cube which I dont want. I want only one record in cube just like i have in my active data table in DSO.
I cant get the data from Active data table because I need delta load.
Would you please advise what can I do to get that one record in Cube?
Pl helpRavi
I am sending the data thro DTP only but is there any solution to get one record bcos in other scenario I am getting data from 2 different ERP sources and getting one record in DSO and cube as well.
but that is not happening for this second scenario where i am getting data from FLAT file and ERP and traing to create one record. -
Hi,
I have a question,
In book TBW10 i read about the data load from DSO to InfoCube
" We feed the change log data to the InfoCube, 10, -10, and 30 add to the correct 30 value"
My question is cube already have 10 value, if we are sending 10, -10 and 30 Values(delta), the total should be 40 instead of 30.
Please some one explaine me.
ThanksNo, it will not be 40.
It ll be 30 only.
Since cube already has 10, so before image ll nullify it by sending -10 and then the correct value in after immage ll be added as 30.
so it ll be like this 10-10+30 = 30.
Thank-You.

Hi guys...
Suppose I have two Datasources that are mapped to a infosource and this infosource is mapped to one dso(all objects until DSO are emulated from 3.x to 7.x)...when I load data,I assume that I have to use two infopackages and I get data into DSO in two requests.I have few questions about this, assuming I have only these two requests in my DSO:
1.When I tried to create a query directly on DSO in query designer... I couldnot find the infoobject 0REQUESTID in query designer...then how can I do if I want to see data request by request rather than all together?
2.Suppose the DSO gets data like below:
Fields in DSO:X1,X2,Y1,Y2,Y3 [X1,X2 are characteristics and also keys,Y1,Y2,Y3 are keyfigures]
Data feeded by Datasource 1 : X1 X2 Y1
a b 10
Data feeded by Datasource 2 : X1 X2 Y2 Y3
a b 20 30
so when I load data,I will load data in two requests and these are the only two requests I have in my DSO....then how will data look in DSO.....does it gets stored in two seperate rows or single row?how is it shown in a query result?
If the keys are not matched, how will the data be shown for keyfigures that are not loaded by that request?
3.I know that in DSO,We have two options:Overwrite/Addition....how will be the data loading be in following situation:
Datasource 1 feeds like this in Request 1:
X1 X2 Y1
a b 10
Datasource 2 feeds like this in Request 2:
X1 X2 Y1 Y2 Y3
a b 30 40 50
how will the result be shown in our two options Addition and Overwrite?will request 2 overwrite or add up data in Y1?
Thanks.Hi guys...

Request-ID is only a part of the new data table - after activation of your data your request will get lost. If you want to see whats happening, load you data request by request and activate your data after each request
2.Suppose the DSO gets data like below:
Fields in DSO:X1,X2,Y1,Y2,Y3 X1,X2 are characteristics and also keys,Y1,Y2,Y3 are keyfigures
Data feeded by Datasource 1 : X1 X2 Y1

If the keys are equal, you will have only one dataset in your DSO
If the keys are not matched, how will the data be shown for keyfigures that are not loaded by that request?
Then you will have two datasets in your DSO
