Data Load error ODS to Cube

Hi
Data Flow ODS-->Cube (Transformations)
We replaced update rules with transformations.
Fiscal Year Variant is mapped to Fiscal Year Variant
FY Year mapped to FY Year
FY Year/Period Mapped to FY Year/Period
In Transformations we are getting Cal Month & Cal Year/Month from FY Year/Period is routine.
To get the First 4 Chars and last 2 chars from FY Year/Period and to Cal Year/month using a routine
Similaryly Cal Month as well from FY Year/Period using routine.
This is done in older Update rules as well...
When tried to load data...i am gettying the below error
"Fiscal Year Variant X is not maintained for Calendar lear 001"
Please update how to fix this

therefor if a answer is available in previous post i copy/paste as for me this is only solution (however next time i'll mention the author)..i do not copy paste within the same thread hoping that the last post will receive the points...
concerning the fact that i might not have red the question correctly...during all the time i have been using this forum i have seen that question is not always the exact problem description...therefor i propose solutions even if on first glance they seem off the case....even more this error will only popup at the moment of checking master data. so if the dso is write optimized, or SID generation is turned off, the error will only show when loading to the cube and can be solved by transferrring the R/3 data. the fact that it concerns a load from dso to cube is then of no meaning.

I am trying to do init with data transfer from 0FIAP_O03 to 0FIAP_C03...
though there is data in the ODS, nothing is loaded to the cube. It just says

The data request was a full update.
In this case, the corresponding table in the source system does not
contain any data.

Info IDoc received with status 8.
Procedure
Check the data basis in the source system.

Hi
"Info IDoc received with status 8" implies that there is no data in the source.
But as you say, that data is there in the source(ODS), then there is some inconsistency in the data source and you need to replicate the data source and reactivate that.
IDoc Status 8 signifies that there is no data in the source and its not any error.

Also goto sm58 and clear the idoc there.

Data loading from ODS to CUBE

Hi All,
I have loaded data from ODS to CUBE. now i have requirement to add some fields in the standard cube. so, for testing purpose i have created copy of the original and created transformation . now when i try to load data from ODS it shows me no more data available . while data is already there in ODS.
now what should i do ? i don't want to delete data from original cube. is there any other way to load data through transformation ?

Hi,
Check the DTP of old cube n see whether its Delta. If yes then check whether any one of the foll is check:
1) get delta only once
2) get data by request.
If 1 is checked then delta wont come for the second cube as it says to get delta once and delta is already in one of the cube.
Generally both should be unchecked but can vary as per requirements.
Now for your new DTP, i dont think it will aloow you to change to FULL.
If its allowing you to select FULL, then select it and select from acive table.
try to load and see.

Data loads from ODS TO CUBE

   i have delta loads comming into the ODS. i do full update from ODS to the cube by date range for material moments no. last time when i loaded the data, it loaded few for the date range. rest did not load and sitting at ODS. this is full load and tried to load again. any suggestions...

Hi Srinivas,
        check your update rules between ODS and cube whether they are mapped properly(check your date range for the cube load).
         Do a Init load and then do the delta load.

We have some data loads from ODS to Cube (Deltas)

Dear Experts,
We can see request status green in DSO but in cube it is in yellow and not available for reporting (the request got compressed)
I want to make the status to green and available for reporting but i could'nt do it as i can see some popup message saying the request is already activated and change QM status not possible.
when i run the delta again that also becomes yellow status due to the previous request's was in yello status.
please suggest me how to change the status of compressed request and why it is happening.

Chk whether automatic request processing--->Set quality status Ok checked or not?
It might be in manage of cube, in the menu-->goto options somewhere
as I was not before the system ...I couln't guide u exactly...

Summing up key figure in Cube - data load from ODS

Hello Gurus,
I am doing a data load from ODS to cube.
The records in ODS are at line-item level, and all needs to be summed up at header level. There is only one key-figure. ODS has header and line-item fields.
I am loading only header field data ( and not the item-field data) from ODS to Cube.
I am expecting only-one record in cube ( for all the item-level records) with all the key-figures summed up. But couldn't see that.
Can anyone please explain how to achieve it.
I promise to reward points.

It is "summation". And it cannot be changed. (Or at least I do not know how to change it.)
There are other dimensions in the cube - which corresponds to the field(s) in ODS.
But, I just mentioned these two (i.e. header and item-level) for simplicity.

Delta load from ODS to cube failed - Data mismatch

Hi all
We have a scenario where the data flow is like
R/3 table - >dataSrc -- > pSA - >InfoSrc -> ODS ->Cube.
The cube has an additional field called "monthly version"
and since it is a history cube , it is supposed to hold data
snapshots of the all data in current cube for each month .
We are facing the problem that the Data for the current month
is there in the history ODS but not in the cube . In the ODS ->Manage->requests
tab i can see only 1 red request that too with 0 recs.
However ,In the cube -> manage-> reconstruction tab , i can see 2 Red request
with the current month date. Could these red requests be the reason for
data mismatch in ODS and cube .
Please guide as to how can i solve this problem .

Load to Cube is Delta and goes daily .
Load to ODS is a full on daily basis .
Can you help me how to sort this issue . I have to work directly in production env . so has to be safe and full proof .

The problem is that... some requests had been eliminated of the cube and the delta control between the ODS and CUBE was lost. The flag "<b>data mart status of request</b>" of all the requests of the ODS had been blank.
Now it is necessary to load some requests from the ODS for the cube.
Notes:
- it is not possible to make a complete load selecting the data to be loaded;
- the PSA is not being used;
- considering the data volume it is impracticable to reload the cube completely.

Considering the following:
-> the delta control was lost;
-> the data already are active in the ODS;
-> part of the data of the ODS already is in the cube.
The indicated procedure it only guarantees the load of the data that are in the ODS and that are not in the cube.

Error when loading from ODS to Cube

Hello Friends,
I am having trouble loading data from ODS to Infocube in my 2004S system.When loading data i get this message
07/03/2007     13:10:25     Data target 'ODSXYZ ' removed from list of loadable targets; not loadable.
07/03/2007     13:28:42     Data target 'ODSXYZ ' is not active or is incorrect; no loading allowed
I checked for ODSXYZ in my data target but there is nothing by that name.Even the infopackage doesnt have it.What needs to be done.Please help.

Its a expected behavior. When you migrate ur DS, the infopacks associated with it, will grey out all the data targets that they were feeding before, that applies to any infopack you create even after the migration. You womt be able to delete it.
Having said this, this shouldnt impact ur loads from ODS to Cube. As this shoudl be taken care of by ur DTP's rather than ur infopacks.
A few questions:
How are you loading ur cube?
Did the data get thru fine to PSA with the infopack in question?
How did you load ur DSO(assuming the load was successful)?

Load fail - ODS to Cube - INIT req

Im loading init request from ODS to my cube.The req contains 12 million records in the ODS.I got the following error message in the RSMO.
Job termination in source system
Diagnosis
The background job for data selection in the source system has been terminated. It is very likely that a short dump has been logged in the source system
Procedure
Read the job log in the source system. Additional information is displayed here.
To access the job log, use the monitor wizard (step-by-step analysis) or the menu path <LS>Environment -> Job Overview -> In Source System
Error correction:
Follow the instructions in the job log messages.
This load is from ODS to CUBE ,and how does the source system is related here..
Bcos it says error in the source system.????
How to correct this error????

Hi Ragu
When you are loading from ODS to Cube at that time source system BW Myself system (your own BW system) acts as source system.
As given in Procedure section ->To access the job log, use the monitor wizard (step-by-step analysis) or the menu path <LS>Environment -> Job Overview -> In Source System->>> Look for job log.
Also check in ST22 for short dump and let us know the error description in detail.

Data display error-APD to Cube

Hi All,
I have done data loading from APD to Cube successfully and able to see the data in cube. When created a query on the cube......in query results........keyfigures are displaed with Description ERROR....
i.e instead of displaying just 43,400. it is dsiplaying 43,400ERROR.......

Hi Raj,
I have faced the same issue. I had one key Figure called Sales Volume. Its value in the query result was displaying the same way as urs do.
The reason was the unit for the Key Figure was not properly maintained.
Check the data in cube whether Units for the key figures is maintained or not..

Check the format of your charecteristics and key figures .
Check you put data separators in you flat files approriately
In the particular charecteristics ZUNIQUEID ,ensure data is consistent...check the related tables
