Data Load with HAL Problem with Decimal-delimiter/Language Setting
Hi,
we use HAL to load Data into Essbase. The Data is with a . as Decimal Point like in
1252.25 When i upload these Data with HAL the number becomes 125225.00
The Locale of my OS is German
The Locale i specified for the file in HAL is English
If i change the Locale of my BS to English the Problem disappears but thats annoying.
Has anybody else such a problem ?
Is There a Solution for this ?

Reading over John's blog, we created a rule file.
But, it looks the load process using the rule file seems to be hanging? are we missing any thing? We are using comman seperator and having number of lines to skip as zero.

Data Load is erroring out with ORA-12801 ORA-01031

I am having Oracle 11.1.0.7 on AIX and we are loading data through Informatica.
There are 7 tables in the database that are big and we enabled parallelism with the degree of 2.
When we run the informatica session for loading data the session is failing with the error -

=====================The Table LIENHOLDER is not set for parallelism and is not amount 7 of those tables. But even when we enabled parallelism with degree of 2 on LIENHOLDER, it is still thowing out this error message.
I have granted DBA role to POL_ODS who owns this procedure POL_ODS.DELETE_LATEST_POLICY_1.

VEHICLECOVERAGE 2Proc DELETE_LATEST_POLICY_1 is owned by POL_ODS and this job is run by POL_ODS itself. This PROC does delete. Yes, LEINHOLDER is owned by POL_ODS only so there is no need to grant DELETE on this table to it's own schema.
As stated in my the trace file, the DELETE statement that it was running was -
DELETE FROM LIENHOLDER WHERE LIEN_POLICY_12_SEGMENT_ID IN (SELECT POL_SEG_12_ID FROM POLICY12SEGMENT WHERE POLICY_ID IN (SELECT POLICY_ID FROM DEL_POL))In this POLICY12SEGMENT is enabled for parallelism but not LIENHOLDER or DEL_POL.
If I don't have parallelism on these 7 tables then the PROC runs fine and it does the delete as expected.

IE load is OK, Problem with Firefox...tries to load from local drive
My own website, in Firefox, opens fine when it is the Home (index.php) page OR a link from my homepage to a third party website. BUT, links from the home page to my other pages do not bring up images, possibly do not use the css (not sure), and try to load from the local drive. IE works with no problem whatsoever.
I think it may be a problem with the .htaccess file, as deleting/renaming the file makes it worse in both Firefox & IE. Also, the function that is causing the problem is the Apache .htaccess function Mod_rewrite...which can redirect browsers, regardless of what is written in an html or php web page file.
Turning off the redirect function in .htaccess is worse for Firefox, but (I believe) not for IE. This rewrite function is available with recent versions of Apached, but not older ones.
Any help would be appreciated. This is starting to get really "old".Solved this:
Turns out that we now require at least "List" permissions for "Everyone" for the root of the partition where the User profiles reside.
This was not the case on our previous images.

Slow loading blog and problems with comments
I've had a number of visitors e-mail to say that my blog takes too long to load, that the page is "jumpy" when scrolling down the page, and that it may not allow the person to comment or when commenting the site unexpectedly closes.
I've tried viewing the site using a PC and I see these problems with Firefox. IE users can leave comments and the site loads a bit better but not ideal.
Are other users experiencing these problems?Kathryn ~ You could try downsizing your images manually using, for example, the Preview app and choosing File > Save As... then reducing the Quality slider.

New with initial problems with Dreamweaver
I am working on a large project, think of a multimedia-pedia.
As I wish to do it by years, from 1950 to present, with 7 sub
pages for each, I will end up with about 500 pages to horse around
when I am done, which I expect to take a year or so. I have put up
the first three years to test things and see how search engines see
it and that kind of thing. It will not be viable of course until I
am done with 1969 and I will have something to sell, THE SIXTIES.

and deleted the old tables. Hopefully ridding myself of bad old FP
code.

There is no such thing as WYSIWYG on the web or in web
authoring.
What you need to learn all over again is HTML and CSS, as
recommended by
Michael. DW will be a walk in the park with even an
introductory
familiarity with these notions.

Why did my calendar view suddenly change in iCal? I've been using ios7 fôr a few weeks now with no problems. Suddenly, without any updates or anything, the calendar view changed and I can no longer view it as a list without having the entire month seen as well.

Custom PDF/RTF reports with Cocoon (problem with special characters)
Hi all,
I've setup application (APEX 3.0.1) with some custom PDF reports (using Cocoon 2.1.10),
I'm generating my own hierarchical xml structure, using query with xmlelement() and xmlagg() functions,
I cannot use built-in xml generator, because I need to get master-detail report with sub-grouping.
Everything works fine if data in report doesn't contains special characters like "&",
but Cocoon stops processing XML data when it found special character, following error is written to cocoon log:

This error occur when Cocoon process folowing XML entity:
<PRZEDMIOT><![CDATA[PPHU "T&M" Ltd.]]></PRZEDMIOT>
I tried to escape "&" character with CDATA section, but it didn't work.
I tested following alternatives:

<PRZEDMIOT>PPHU "T&M" Ltd</PRZEDMIOT>
<PRZEDMIOT><PPHU "T&M" Ltd.></PRZEDMIOT> --remove '<' and '>' characters
<PRZEDMIOT><![CDATA[PPHU "T&M" Ltd.]]></PRZEDMIOT>

but I still get the same error.
Can anyone help me with this ?

Tomasz K.Ok, I found that only '&' and '%' characters breaks Cocoon processing.
The workaround is to use replace() function and change:
'&' to '%26' and '%' to '%25', but I think that is a dirty way...
Other characters like " - 'double citation' are succesfully escaped with xmlcdata() function.
Perhaps someone know the simpler way to get Master/Detail PDF reports from APEX without using BI Publisher ???
Actually I have page process invoked by button, which generates XML data, post it to Cocoon with UTL_HTTP and save generated PDF to database table (for future use).
The same button invokes branch to URL with download procedure.
Standard APEX reporting is not very usefull for me, because I don't know how to generate "complex" documents, with several grouping sections.
I will be gratefull for any aid. -
Can anyone help me with a problem with Photoshop 7.0?
I have the old Adobee Photoshop 7.0.1 and I recently ran into a problem with my Type tool that I can't figure out.
Suddenly the type tool won't type. When I hit the type tool a LARGE cursor appears that's almost the full length of the picture I'm typing on, and it can't be scaled down, and it won't type words. After a few days of frustration I totally removed Photoshop from my system and reloaded it, but the huge cursor still exist.
Can anyone give me an idea as to how to fix this? Please?
DMReset the type tool.
Click on the Type tool, then click on down arrow of tool icon in upper left corner of screen. The click on the right arrow to reveal dropdown box to reset tool.

Because this forum software is so absolutely USELESS now, you don't get to see the whole of the question in this view. In the other (non-list) view it says:

And the answer is that if you can't isolate the vocal in the stereo field, or it is one of these odd ones where it's used inverted polarity in different parts of the stereo signal for the same vocal, then you won't be able to. But without a sample, it's impossible to tell. If you can post a link to one, that might help. It has to be external to this site though - Adobe in their infinite wisdom don't allow the posting of audio files on their audio U2U forum. Helpful, that, isn't it? -
IE shuts down with message problem with flash10e.ocx
I have a dell Dimension E310. I keep it in top shape. But recently my IE(7) either freezes up and eventually kicks back to desktop or sometimes it comes with a message that IE has encounted a problem with flash10e.ocx and must shut down. I have been on the phone for the last 3 days with Dell Tech Support and they are no help. Can someone on here please help me. This is driving me insane!!
