Data Loading is in Yellow Status

Hi All,
I have scheduled the data using info package.I have Checked in RSMO and after long time, the job is in the yellow status. I have checked the job in SM37 in R/3 side and found the status as "Released".
And data is not pulling into BW.
Can you provide how to rectify this.

Hi there,
Your job is stucked on the R/3 side (probably no more process available on R/3 side).
Normally I could "force" that job, but I don't actually remember all of the steps.
Try this:
go to sm37 and for that particular job that is in the released state, select it and in the Menu choose Job->Released->Schedule
This will start your job, if not, you can still find it in sm37 with the status "Schedule". Select it again and choose Release. This will or start your job immediatly or prompt to when you want to start your job. Select immediatly and this will start your job.

Data Load- 0 records yellow status

Hi ,
While loading data to BW 3.5 where the number of records is 0, it takes a very long time (more than one day) for the status to become GREEN. The data source is based on a custom FM. The extraction in RSA3 is working fine.
I have changed the evaluation setting in the monitor screen to GREEN. However the problem still continues.
Is their any exception which needs to be defined in the FM code?

Are you raising NO_MORE_DATA when there is no records? See FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE as an example.

Data Request remains in yellow status after RSAPO_CLOSE_TRANS_REQUEST

Dear all,
I am working on BI 7.0 and I need to load data from a Real-Time Cube (in planning mode) to a Standard Cube. I am using a Process Chain with a program which calls function module RSAPO_CLOSE_TRANS_REQUEST providing the technical name of the Real-Time cube to this function module. I see that this function module works in general, because afterwards I see the number of data records transferred and added appearing in the data request. However, the status of the data request is still yellow. In order to load the data from this cube to another it has to be in green. It is not acceptable to do this manually, it has to be automated. Data entry on the Planning Cube is via a BI-IP Query. The data arrives correctly in the cube, when checking the InfoCube content the data appears to be fine.
I have used this function module in many projects without such a problem. Does anyone have an idea why the data request is not set in green status?
I have also tried to use the function modules RSAPO_SWITCH_TRANS_TO_BATCH and RSAPO_SWITCH_BATCH_TO_TRANS to convert from Planning mode to normal mode and then back from normal to planning mode. The result is the same, data request remains yellow.

I have tried this with the standard Process Chain steps to switch the mode, but the issue remains. It first switches the Cube to Load-Mode, I see data records in the request being added to the cube, the next step tries to switch the cube back into Planning mode, This step now gives an error because the data request is in yellow status, so the cube cannot be switched back to planning.
Error Message:
Request APO_R4EX2HO4TYDLBCNQPQY82K8ZOJ(0000020181) is yellow or red in InfoCube DRI_P301; cannot switch to planning
Message no. RSM068
The Problem is that after the Cube was switched to Load-mode the request is still yellow.
I do not understand why data records get added to the cube but the request does not get turned into green status. Any more ideas?

Process Chain load step in yellow status

We are having a process chain with a load step.The load step is run with init with data transfer.
The load step is scheduled for the next time without changing the option to delta update.So the load step turned yellow with the background job log stating that delete the init Request ID.
The process chain is scheduled for several times but the load steps are all yellow.I initialized with data transfer and then to delta update.
All the requests in data targets are green.But all the load steps are in yellow.please let me know how to make it green.I tried to change the status of the load step to green manually using the function module rsps_process_finish,but the status is not changing.
Please help me out.Thanks in advance.

From the Cube Manage > Environment > Automatic req processing > Chk Quality status to ok , chk this option if it is not done.
this should reslve the issue.

PSA load remains in yellow status.

Hi Gurus,
I have created a generic datasource based on function module.
I have replicated the datasource in SAP BI dev instance.
I have even checked the extractor checker in R/3 and it shows 381 records.
On BI side I am loading data upto PSA.When I execute the infopackage for full load in the monitor screen I could see
"381 out of 0 records".The request remains in yellow status.
The idoc status in source system side is 03 and on BI side is 53.
I dont get any error message.Even I am not seeing idocs with red status in SM58 tcode.No logs are seen in sm21.
I even asked the basis team to check for RFC connection SM59 and partner profile.Every thing looks fine .
This loading issue is only happening with this specific datasource(ie datasource created on function module).
For other datasources load are carried out fine.
Has anybody faced a similar issue?.Please help in this regard.

Process the idocs manually. after
check the below things
--> Check weather the source system job finished or not?
If the job is finished check the TRFCs are processed or not?
In the monitor screen - menu bar --environment -->job overview (to check the job) -->TRFcs - to check the TRFCs.
Check for short dumps using transaction ST22.
-->Check for the Idocs in BD87 and if there are any IDOCs got stuck process them manually.
To process Idocs first change the status of request to red and try to process them in the background.

Query on Data loading

I am loading the data to ODS and the data loading is happening (The Status is showing in Yellow) . While loading, can i schedule the data again.Previous request is already in Yellow status. What will happen if i schedule the data load again.

Try to understand loading process to ODS -
Extract Structure
PSA
Trasfer structure
Communication Structure
Through Update rule to New Table
Activation Process
Data updated in Active & Change Log table.
In your case second load will process till Active Table & if First load is still yellow by the time of activation of second load then second load will fail as active table is locked by first load.
If first load is completed then second will go through successfully.

Data load from R3 to BW shows yellow status

Hi Guru's,
While extracting the data from R3 to BW, BW is receiveing all the packages e.g. 10 packages. But out of 10, one of the package is showing in the yellow status and the rest in the green status.
Overall the Status is shown as yellow but the messages display in the Monitor that all the records are fowarded and received.
I have this loads in the process chains and because of this issue, my process chains are not getting executed further.
Could any one of you tell me how to resolve this issue.
Is this an issue that BW consultant should resolve or is this a BASIS issue ?

Data load status stay in yellow

Hi,
My BW platform is BW 701 with SP 5. I am loading ECCS data hourly with 3.5 method which include transfer rule and update rule. Most of the time the data load are successfully completed. The total number of records is about 180,000 records and extracted in 4 packets. Once in a while, randomly one of the data packet stay in yellow could not complete the load. But, in the next hour data load, the data loaded successfully. We know it is not data issue. Does anyone know why the data load is not consistently? Any suggestions are much appreciated.

HI Frank,
This might be because some of the TRFc or Idcos might got hung.
Check the source system job got finished or not.
If the source system job got completed check the TRFCs and IDOCs if there are any hung TRFCs and IDOCs.
in the monitor screen --> menu bar environment > select job overview> source system (enter id n pwd ) check the job status.
once its done to check the TRFCs
Info package>Monitor->Environment> Trasact Rfcs-->In source system --> it will diplsay all the TRFCs check for your hung TRFCs and try to manually flush the TRFC(F6).
If idocs are hung change - process the IDOCs manually.

Load to psa is in yellow status only in quality n production system

Hi All,
We have created a generic FM which wil take date parameter as input and fetch records for that specific month. This FM works perfectly fine in dev server, but when i run the same in quality and production the load status is still in yellow status.
FYI, data records are fetched/extracted correctly and data package individually is in green status. But under extraction flow i see the following message " Missing message: Selection completed " at this stage the status is in yellow.
If i check the job in r/3 system then the last job log entry is
" Asynchronous transmission of info IDoc 3 in task 0003 (1 parallel tasks) "
Kindly suggest what can be done here to resolve this. We have stuck for quite long on this.

DTP load in Yellow status forever

All,
The DTP load to this particular remains in Yellow status forever even though the transferred records are just 5000. After observing the dump, it shows problem where a select query to a table is done in the end routine of the transfroamtion.
The select is on a big master data table (material) but when I gave the selection by itself in SE16, there were not many records - just 3000. then why would the trace say that all the time is being spent querying this database table?
This was all working in D but not in q
Another important note is that there was no scuh change to the material table. however, there were four attributes to which we had enabled 'conversion' in the transfer structure
Would this be an issue if not the code itself?

The dtp loads from one DSO to another. I checked a similar scenario in the same system - things look fine.
I have an end routine in the transformation. when I look at the dtp monitor for the status, it says:
Extract. from DataStore xxxx: 4709 Data Records ---status GREEN
Filter Out New Records with the Same Key : 5000 -> 5000 Data Records------status GREEN
ODSO xxxxx-> ODSO yyyyy-----status YELLOW
-Transformation Start---status GREEN
-Rules---status GREEN
-End Routine---status GREEN
No Message: Transformation End
No Message: Update to DataStore Object yyyyyy
No Message: Set Technical Status to Green
No Message: Set Overall Status to Green

I am facing a data exracton problem while extracting data from SAP source system (Development Client 220). The scenario and related setting are as the flowings:
A. Setting:
We have created 2 source system one for the development and another for the quality in BW development client
1. BW server: SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI 7
PI_BASIS: 2005_1_700 Level: 12
SAP_BW: 700 Level:13
Source system (Development Client 220)
2. SAP ERP: SAP ERP Central Component 6.0
PI_BASIS: 2005_1_700 Level: 12
OS: SunOS
Source system (Quality Client 300)
2. SAP ERP: SAP ERP Central Component 6.0
PI_BASIS: 2005_1_700 Level: 12
OS: HP-UX
B. The scenario:
I was abele to load the Info provider from the Source system (Development Client 220), late we create another Source system (Quality Client 300) and abele to load the Info provider from that,
After creating the another Source system (Quality Client 300), initially I abele to load the info provider from both the Source system , but now I am unable to load the Info provider from the (Development Client 220),
Source system Creation:
For both 220 and 300, back ground user in source system is same with system type with same authorization (sap_all, sap_new, S_BI-WX_RFC) And user for source system to bw connection is dialog type (S_BI-WX_RFC, S_BI-WHM_RFC, SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW)
1: Now while at the Info Package : Start data load immediately and then get the
e-mail sent by user RFCUSER, and the content:

How to identify the status of the data load

Hi All,
Here is my requiremenet,
I have a process called etl_pf2 which loads the data into staging tables. Now I have another process that does a partition exchange and moves the data from staging tables to online tables.
In one procedure, I need to verify whether any data load into the staging tables is happings. If yes then partiontion should not occur, if no then movement should happen.
Any idea on any parameter which can be used in the procedure to check the status of the data load in staging tables.
Please help me.

I tried to search obiee+USER_MEM_ARGS and nqsserver+USER_MEM_ARGS but found only this thread.
How can JVM settings help to nqsserver.exe to work properly?

BI accelerator: problem displaying Data Load Status

I have installed BI accelarator following the note : 934848.
The problem is when I try to monitor Data Load Status , I've this error on the portal : "Error reading the data of InfoProvider 0TCT_VC12, There is still no data source assigned to VirtualProvider 0TCT_VC12" but I've activated direct access for this virtual info prorvide to the correct source system as it is mentionned(step 5) and it is assigned to a data source (0TCT_DS12).

You're absolutely right Rajani , it's about BI Cokpit Administration.
In fact, I really activate direct access, I added the right source system in the Source System for InfoSource 3x window.

Data loading status

Hi,
In my BI environment, i've various infoproviders being loaded with their respecitve loading frequency. Periodically i need to know what all infoproviders have request with failed status.
Is there any source (any ods/cube) which lists such infoproviders having failed requests. which i could use in my report program.

Hi Nagendra,
I'm not familiar with any InfoProvider that meets your requirements. However, you can construct one if you'd like. There are 2 database tables that come in handy for looking at data load requests.
Half of the data you are looking for is in the table RSREQDONE. This table details information about requests. There are 2 status fields (one for request status, one for QM).
The other half is in table RSREQICODS. This table relates the request id to the load target.
If you create a view joining the 2 tables on the request ID, you can get a consolidated view telling you requests, InfoProviders, and status. If you want more tha this, you could then try making a custom datasource in RSO2 and creating an ODS Object or InfoCube plus reports.

Data Load status

Due to certain requirements, I am triggering an infopackage through an ABAP Process Type using the function module BAPI_IPAK_START in a process chain.
I want the next process type of process chain to be executed after the data load triggered in the ABAP process type is complete.
How can I find out the status of the data load and put a hold?
