Data Maintenance For Pooled Table

Hi,
I have to make table maintenance for pooled table T052S , Can I make table maintenace , if I have access key, is it feaseable, as I have some requirement , which is to be done. or is there any other method by which user can maintain this table except through SPRO.

We're on ECC 5.0 here and this table already has a maintenance transaction defined - OBB9.
This is how SAP sets up maintenance for a lot of the config tables:
     Define a Maintenance View - e.g. V_T052S
     Define a Maintenance Dialog
     Define a transaction variant on SM30
A user can be given maintenance access for only OBB9

Hi,
Easiest way is to download the table eg into an Excel table (if possible) or text table. Drop the table from the database. Build your table with the new key field. Build the database table again and fill it.
You can do it also over the database into a new table. Drop the old one. Build the enhanced one and fill it. Afterwards drop your (temporary) table.
Maybe there are other ways, but this works.

Hi all,
I build a java applicatio to call a sap function.
This FM have only an import parameter as structure, the last field of this structure is 16000 characters long.
When I start the application if the long field is empty all works fine, but if I fill it the java compiler send me this runtime error:

Missing data packages for PSA Table in sap netweaver 2004s

When we tryed to load the master data 0customer we have got the message
"Information Idoc: Sent, but did not arrive:
Missing data packages for PSA Table
Diagnosis
Data packets are missing from PSA Table . BI processing does not return any errors. The data transport from the source system to BI was probably incorrect.
We couldn't find any entries in source system.We have checked the tablespaces and authorizations.Its looks good.
WE have replicated and tryed again.But still getting the same error message.
we have SAP_BASIS
Release 700,level 0008, Highest SAPKB70008 basis component.
pls help us with the solution.

1) goto BD87 Tcode... take ur Idoc number and check the status of the idoc if it is 64 .. just process it manually ....
2) go to the TRFC in Datawarehouse and execute the LUWs manually ..

Hi,
2LIS_03_BX is the initialization of your stocks; you'll need to perform the setup procedure for extracting this data.
Usually this DSource is used to bring the stocks positions at a given time; from this given time you'll then extract deltas from BF and UM so your stocks are always:
BX + BF(Delta) + UM(delta).

Temporary data carriers for Database tables

hi Gurus,
How can we find temporary Data Carriers for database tables. For eg. when we craete a BOM in CS01/CS02 the data first goes to RC29P structure and when system finishes it goes to STPO.
This is one example. how canw e find other structures and theirs corresponding Database Tables?
Any idea?

Hi Greg,
Those are the aggregated tables. If they are not filled with data although the Portal Activity Report is activated, you should check whether the aggregation finished successfully.
In the older SPs there were some problems that were fixed in later SPs of 7.0.
In order to have the latest version of Portal Activity report, you can check SAP note 1084379 - Portal Activity Report - Latest Version (SDA file).
You can compare the SP via the MANIFAST file, as it contains the version and SP number.
In order to troubleshoot problems in Activity Report, you can follow SAP note: 1690023 - Portal Activity Report - Component-specific Note
Some basic checks that you can do:
Run query on the raw data tables to check since when there is data in those tables:
select min(timestamphour) from SAP<SystemID>DB.WCR_WEBCNODESTAT;
If there is too much data from long time ago, then you should delete the old data, and leave only the new data (there is anyways retention time for the data to be kept).
If there is no data, then it means that the Portal Activity Report does not collect data, and not really activated (usually this is not the case).
The aggregation runs every top of the hour, so you can check in the default traces for an error during that time.
In most of the cases something went wrong while aggregating the data.
As a result the aggregation is not finished, so the transaction is not being committed, and the aggregated tables stay empty.
If there is a DuplicateKeyException in the trace, you can follow SAP note 1054145 - Duplicate Key Exception.

How to extract data from a pool table?

Hello,
I want to create an generic extractor for table T030, but this is a pool/cluster table and it is not possible to create a view for such a table.
Do somebody know how to solve this problem? Does there exist function modules to read the data from a pool data?

Function Module would be your best bet..considering thats the best way as far as performance is taken into consideration.
But there is a work around too...
If the other table u use in the join is not a clusture table then u can create a view on that table and u can add append structure to this with fields from the clusture table and use an exit to populate it.
Try it Will Work...used this technique when I used KONV.* This Procedure does not decrease performance considerably.
at least in my case as thre were only a few fields i needed from pool table

or only system maintenance client.

There are the following delivery classes:
A: Application table (master and transaction data).
C: Customer table, data is maintained by the customer only.
L: Table for storing temporary data.
G: Customer table, SAP may insert new data records, but may not overwrite or delete existing data records. The customer namespace must be defined in table TRESC. (Use Report RDDKOR54 here).
E: System table with its own namespaces for customer entries. The customer namespace must be defined in table TRESC. (Use Report RDDKOR54 here.)
S: System table, data changes have the same status as program changes.
W: System table (e.g. table of the development environment) whose data is transported with its own transport objects (e.g. R3TR PROG, R3TR TABL, etc.).
Behavior during client copy
Only the data of client-specific tables is copied.
Classes C, G, E, S: The data records of the table are copied to the target client.Classes W, L: The data records of the table are not copied to the target client.
Class A: Data records are only copied to the target client if explicitly requested (parameter option). Normally it does not make sense to transport such data, but is supported to permit you to copy an entire client environment.
Behavior during installation, upgrade and language import
The behavior differs here for client-specific and cross-client tables.
Client-specific tables
Classes A and C: Data is only imported into client 000. Existing data records are overwritten.
Classes E, S and W: Data is imported into all clients. Existing data records are overwritten.Class G: Existing data records are overwritten in client 000. In all other clients, new data records are inserted, but existing data records are not overwritten.
Class L: No data is imported.
Cross-client tables
Classes A, L and C: No data is imported.
Classes E, S, and W: Data is imported. Exisitng data records with the same key are overwritten.Classe G: Data records that do not exist are inserted, but existing data records are not overwritten.
Behavior during transport between customer systems
Data records of tables of delivery class L are not imported into the target system. Data records of tables of delivery classes A, C, E, G, S and W are imported into the target system (this is done for the target client specified in the transport for client-specific tables).
Use of the delivery class in the extended table maintenance
The delivery class is also analyzed in the extended table maintenance (SM30). The maintenance interface generated for a table makes the following checks:
You cannot transport the entered data with the transport link of the generated maintenance interface for tables of delivery classes W and L.
When you enter data, there is a check if this data violates the namespace defined for the table in table TRESC. If the data violates the namespace, the input is rejected.

Standard Data Source for FMGLFLEXT Table

Hello Friends,
The standard data source for the Financials New Legder is 0FI_GL_10 General Ledger: Leading Ledger Balances, which fetches the data from the FAGLFLEXT Table using the Extract Structure FAGL_EXTSTRUCT_LEAD. However there has been a migration of the FAGL table to FMGL table. And now the FAGLFLEXT is no longer populated with any FI postings data. And the new table which is getting the update is the FMGLFLEXT Table. GL Migration from FAGL to FMGL is a standard procedure. However I am not finding any Standard Data Source to fetch the data from the FMGLFLEXT Table.
Can anybody let me know if there is any standard datasource for this or should we create a custom data source to fetch the data from FMGLFLEXT using the FMGL_EXTSTRUCT_LEAD Extract Structure.
Appreciate help in this regard.

The requirement is resolved by the following:
If you want to use your own totals table (in this scenario FMGLFLEXT) as your basis, you first have to create the corresponding extraction structure using transaction FAGLBW01. In this way, all fields of the totals table are transferred into the extraction structure. Further In the OLTP system, call up transaction FAGLBW03 and Configure the DataSource and save your settings.

You may need to replace your cersion of the program with the new one.

Data Archival for Custom Tables

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement of archiving the related custom tables while we archive the standard SAP tables data. We are going a head with creating the custom archiving objects to handle this. However, i would like to know about the feature of "Exit routine assignement in generation" in the standard Archiving objects (AOBJ). Can this be used to handle custom tables data? If yes, can you please provide me an example how this can be acheived? If not, what is the purpose of this?

Hello Lavaughn,
I can not speak for SAP, but from my personal experience TimeStamps are the state of the art to store time date info in db tables. Even with date/Time fields a conversion to the local timezone is necessary. Of course you can reuse your db definition on dynpros. But since UI and business logic will be divided anyway this is also not really a valid point.

How to validate data entered in table maintenance for Z table?

Hi,
I created a Z-table with table maintenance. I'd like to perform some validation on the entered data.
I know there are events for these : "If this pre-defined time is reached in extended table maintenance, the FORM routine specified for the current view and for this time is processed. This is useful, for example, for performing consistency checks before saving or specific actions when creating new entries."
I also found some info in the Online help:

However it's not clear which event I can use for validation.
I tried event 01, however when I added a message, in the SM30 in case of message, I got the SM30 initial screen.

Once you are on the table maintenance generator screen.
GOTO --> Enviornment --> Modification --> Events.
Here specify Event as '01' and the Subroutine name that will hold the data for the validation.
As you know we need to specify a function group.
GOTO SE80 and Open your function group.
Now in the PBO of the screen write a subroutine for the validation before saving an entry in the table.
Refer the code below for validation.
