    Hello!
    I am doing the settings from the "Configuration of Service Desk for VAR".
    I find it difficulty "4.1 Automatic Master Data Maintenance (Standard)".

    How to insert data into a table "V_AIINSNRS"?

    What does this message?
    Transaction SMSY_SETUP -> Expert Settings: performed
    Thanks!

    Hi Dmitriy,
    1.
    These tables are maintained by the report AI_SC_GET_SAP_CUSTOMER_NUMBERS.
    Also, the report uses the S user is stored in the RFC SAP-OSS to determine all the SAP customer numbers that you support.
    So, an S user from the Service Provider, with a password that has authorization to
    display all customer information for the VAR customer numbers, must be available in the
    RFC SAP-OSS.
    For further information you can check note 1151450.
    2.
    To run the report AI_SC_REFRESH_READ_ONLY_DATA, you should be able to perform the above activitie first and flag customer numbers or installations for generating the data.

  • Data Maintenance Web Dynpro ABAP versus Classic ABAP

    I am working on a project where I will have to create a couple of custom master data tables. In classic SAP it is very easy to create standard table maintenance screens for master data via transaction SE54 where you can assign an authorization group for security purposes if necessary. Although we very much like Web Dynpro ABAP development, I cannot find an easy way to create the same userfriendly table maintenance screens as we know them in classic SAP.
    That's why I am a bit in doubt: on the one hand we want the web look and feel, but on the other hand creating the maintenance functionality in classic sap is very simple and straight forward. Whatever the solution will be, classic or not, it will become part of a portal someday. I know both solutions can be linked to a portal so that's no decision maker in our case.
    Does somebody have any idea if there is something available for generating standard data maintenance screens in Web Dynpro ABAP without the need for a lot of additional coding? Basically I am looking for a web dynpro replacement for transaction SE54.
    Looking forward to your thoughs!!
    kind regards
    Angelique Heutinck
    IFF

    Hi Angelique Heutinck  ,
                                       Webdynpro abap is a screen design interface, as module pool, in module pool development we can only desigh screens, similarly in wda is also intented to design screen that are web enabled,
    while in classical abap we have the povision to call a transaction from a screen, while in wda, we have the provision to call another screen or view, but not a transaction.
    unfortunately we cant embedd a tranction inside a wda development, so the only provision to simulate SE54 in wda is to create screens manually.

  • Regarding Data Maintenance Tool

    Hi ABAPers,
    Can any one Explain me what is the use of Data Maintenance Tool. And also let me know where and how to create this tool.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Ramana Prasad. T

    Hi Ramana,
    <b>
    Mass Maintenance to SAP Data – Current Situation</b>
    If only a few tens of records are to be added or updated, entering this data manually into SAP is a reasonable option. However, if several hundred to several thousand records are to be updated, manual data entry is not an ideal choice. Manual data entry can get very expensive and time consuming and is not the best utilization of corporate resources – this is especially wasteful for data that already exists in another digital format, e.g., Excel files. Not only that, manual data entry is very error prone and can lead to severely degraded data quality.
    The SAP mass-change transactions are only useful for fairly simple data change scenarios where one or more fields need to be changed to a constant value for all records. Most mass changes scenarios are more complex than that and the second and third options are the ones mostly chosen.
    The other tools provided by SAP for automating mass maintenance of data, include tools such as ABAP and LSMW, which are extremely technical in nature and require technical experts in the IT departments to create special-purpose data upload programs. Following the standard change control procedures and industry standard software development practices, writing these special programs ends up being a very time consuming and a very expensive proposition for most companies. Further, many of these programs are throw-away programs written for one-time use only.
    <b>
    Mass Maintenance to SAP Data– Ideal Scenario</b>
    An ideal tool for mass maintenance of SAP data would let the data update projects to be implemented by the end user departments themselves. A few super-users within these end-user departments that supply the data should have the ability to transfer the data themselves without relying on technical experts. Such a tool would significantly cut the time and effort required in SAP data maintenance.
    The ideal tool for mass maintenance of SAP data should be easy to learn and should require no programming. Furthermore, such a tool should work across all the different SAP modules and the SAP products, including the different versions of SAP
    WE PROPOSE TXSHUTTLE AND TABLEPRO AS THE IDEAL TOOLS FOR ROUTINE SAP DATA MAINTENANCE!
    Key Features:
         TxShuttle runs almost any SAP transaction, simple or complex, and even custom transactions, in any SAP product or module – from outside SAP. While running these transactions, TxShuttle allows easy upload of data between Microsoft Excel or Access and any SAP transaction.
      •      TablePro allows the easy download of any table or view from SAP into Excel files and even allows the joining of multiple tables.
         Txshuttle and TablePro are easy-to-use tools intended for SAP end-users and do not require any programming.
         TxShuttle and TablePro preserves complete SAP role-based security and maintain a complete SAP audit trail.
         Using TxShuttle and TablePro needs no change to standard SAP – they are desktop software tools that run out of the box
    Key Benefits:
         Save vast amount of time and resources in mass maintenance of SAP data.
         Make the SAP business-users and functional analysis more self-sufficient by reducing their dependence on valuable IT/IS resources.
         Save IT resources by significantly reducing custom programming efforts.
         Use the same tool for many applications. Maximize your return on investment.
    Reward if useful.
    Thanks

  • Mass Data Maintenance

    Hi, experts
         There is a Work Center called Mass Data Maintenance. That Work Center contains Export and Import of Customer and Materials.
         I want to know how to use them.
         Is it possible for exporting and importing other standards BO like Sales Order using this option?
    Regards,
    May T.

    Hi May T,
    Export and Import are basically used to migrate data out or into the system. There will be a template to be followed for each object.
    I believe the objects you see there are the objects for with SAP had provided mass data maintenance. And for other Standard objects I think the other way is using a Web service if any exists or you can also create a Custom BO with the fields you want to pass to standard BO and then create a MDR for it and  create the instances from the MDR.
    PS:You can also raise an incident asking SAP about this, may be they have a better solution.
    Regards
    Vinod

  • Uploading data from non sap system to sap system

    hi to all experts,
    my requirement is to upload data into the sap system from non sap system . the data is in  a flat file ,but the problem is that  in the flat file all the field lengths and fields are not in order or same as sap system. How to upload the data into sap system ....

    hi,
    the data is in a flat file,but the problem is that in the flat file all the field lengths and fields are not in order or same as sap system.
    If the data is in excel sheet use this FM.
    CALL FUNCTION 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE'
        EXPORTING
          FILENAME                      = P_FILE
          I_BEGIN_COL                   = 1
          I_BEGIN_ROW                   = 1
          I_END_COL                     = 17
          I_END_ROW                     = 3000
        TABLES
          INTERN                        = itab
    EXCEPTIONS
      INCONSISTENT_PARAMETERS       = 1
      UPLOAD_OLE                    = 2
      OTHERS                        = 3
    It will read the data from excel sheet column wise and then store it in ITAB. you can change the order after reading the file.
    In case of Text file use FM  GUI_UPLOAD.
    You can change the order of the fileds after reading it from file, but the length and all you have to make compatible to SAP standard fields.

    Sachin

  • Data extraction from SAP R/3 BAPI to BW

    hi,
    i am extracting data from sap r/3 bapi into sap bw. can u please send me the link and documents of how to extract the data from bapi to sap bw.
    Answers will be rewarded
    Thanks
    sd shahid

    Hi Shahid,
        I hope i understood your question properly, because ; to the best of my knowledge, Third-party extraction tools can be used to extract data from non-SAP source systems into SAP BW. These tools supply extracted data directly to a staging engine BAPI on the SAP BW platform. The staging engine then performs the mapping and update rules. Third party vendors of extraction products certified for SAP BW include:
    Informatica, Genio, Acta Works, Evolutionary Technology Inc., If you can get information from any of these third party vendors, then i hope your query will be cleared.

  • Migrate Closed Sales Data from one SAP system to Other

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to migrate Closed Sales Order data from one SAP System to the New SAP system.
    Please share your thoughts on the considerations / DOs and Donts for such cases.
    Appreciate your response.
    Kind Regards,
    Tanuji

    Hi,
    If you want to migrate closed SOs..then first consider why? and from what date i.e how long back?
    Following are the considerations:
    1) You can't get the creation date same as your previous system dates--this might lead to incorrect reporting. So you'll have to check if its really worth?
    2) You might want to have a reference no somewhere in the new transactions from the previous system.
    3) If you want to migrate the deliveries, invoices then you've to consider also GL migration as well as payments.
    Regards,
    Raghu.

  • How Can we get the data from Non-SAP to SAP in WebDynpro

    Hi,
    I hope u understand my query, How can we get the data from Non-SAP to SAP thru WebDynpro Programming.
    Help out with the steps for getting the data or procedure.
    Regards,
    Mutyapu

    You can expose the APIs in the Non-SAP backend as Web Services, and consume them in SAP by creating an Enterprise Proxy. Then these can be called just like normal class methods from Web Dynpro.
