Data Manager menu option

In BPC 5.1, I had a Data Manager menu option in BPC for Excel and now it has gone. Is there some criteria that must be satisfied for an Application to enable the Data Manager option? Or might I have switched Data Mnaager off somewhere?

About what version are you speaking?
BPC 7.0 interface is the same with BPC5.1 regarding DM.
If you are not able to see some option that's measn or the client installation was not correct done or you didn't set correct the profile for you user into BPC.

Site Manager Menu option not there

I watched the BC gurus tutorial and looked at online docs. There is no Site Manage> Menu option in the manage area for this site. It makes it impossible to add or modify menus. The Content Holder gives no options to create specifically a menu.
This has to be easy or it is really a bad change. It is easier to develop in DW than BC. That is not good.
I'm the admin and logged in as admin.

IF you are a paid partner and set up an account you get everything out the box and you should see menu under the site manager like any other. If you are using a creative cloud site these are ONLY webbasic so you wont see anything other then the real basics.
Like Sanjit has said, if you do not feel this should be the case on that site, contact support.

Site Manager menu option are not there

Hi guys!
I'm quite new with business catalyst, but I've recently become a paid account (Webcommerce) and I have 2 options below the menu tab "Site Manager".
I'm watching a lot of tutorials and all of them got a lot op options below the site manager, and I only got Web Forms and System emails, so I think that there are missing a lot of options missing!
Hopefully someone can help me with this issue!

Then it would be a problem with my CC account. Because my role as admin is full, and I created this account so then the only option left is the CC account!
I was very interested in the combination of Muse and BC, so I let me inform by both parties who have figured out all this, and that this is the best solution for me.
Unfortunately by this far, is it a waste of my time and money I've put into this system and I got a pissed off customer. It is therefore the first and last time I used Adobe and BC.

BPC NW - Cannot run Data Manager

Hello,
I have recently installed the NW version of BPC in my computer, but looks the installation does not come to the right end, as I can not run all the components.
When I access the Data Manager menu, the corresponding toolbar is not installed and I have encountered the following failure scenarios when trying to access the standard menu:
1. I get a blank message when clicking on Data Manage option, whichs leads into the Data Manager Menu.
2. when clicking on the Upload data file option, it allows to select the source of the data, but I do not get any response for the destination of the file
3. When accessing the Run a data management package, I get a visual basic error:
"Run-time error 91; Object Variable or WIth Block variable not set"
4. in other options of the standard menu, I also get several error messages which do not allow to work with this menu, so data cannot be loaded into any application.
I recently installed (and uninstalled) the SQL version of BPC and was working OK; however, with the NW version it does not seem to be working properly.
I have unistalled and installed several times following the recommendations (as detailed below), but still have not succeeded.
Client Machine:
1. Uninstalled BPC for Office and BPC Administration.
2. Deleted C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\OutlookSoft folder
3. Deleted C:\Program Files\BPC folder
4. Removed the OUTLOOKSOFT entry from the registry. Start Menu \ Run \ cmd \ regedit. Delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OUTLOOKSOFT folder.
5. Reboot PC.
We have also checked for note 1098742, but once installed and re-installed BPC NW it stills displays the same error message.
I have also tried note 1108598, but looks to be relevant for MS version only, and all the components are already available in my computer.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

We having the same issue of "RUN-TIME ERROR - Invalid Key" and still cannot find solution. And the other visual basic runtime error encountered along with the above mentioned is:
Automation error: The callee (Server application) not available and disappeared, all connections are invalid.
Do post any solution discovered.

How to add custom menu options in myaccounts module?

Hi experts,
To implement this, I have found myaccount.xml file in UI of myaccounts module. In this file, I found only menu headings but not menu options. Can anyone explain where data of menu options were populated from and how can I add my custom menu options? I also have tried to delete the menu heading but there was no effect. Please help!! I'm on WEC 1.0.

Hi Daro,
the path to the billing module is "sap.com/wec/ecom/mc/billing". But nevertheless
1. you need only to enhance in your current modul the metadata.xml file with the link to your own myaccount.xml which you can create.
2. and then you can define within the new file the menu options you need.
3. the last step is to update your shop configuration with the new menu options.

Date Format in Data Manager (DD/MM/AAAA)

Hello Experts,
I have a problem with the date format in the MDM DATA MANAGER (Version 5.5.42.95).
I have a field of type LITERAL DATE.
When I see the Date in the DATA MANAGER, I see it in the format:
MM/DD/AAAA
I want to see the Date in the format:
DD/MM/AAAA
When I select the field to modificate his value, I suddenly see the date in the format DD/MM/AAAA.

This options don't change the way you see the date in the Data Manager, this options are only for the Import Manager.

Okey, thank you. I think this is a basic feature that MDM is missing, I hope they solve this in the next versions.

Data Manager - Upload question

Hi all,
In BPC 5.1 sp3, there is a maximum file size of 100 MB when uploading a file to the server using the eData -> Data Upload menu option.
Is there a way to increase that maximum file size?

There's a new appset parameter to control this.
Copied from the BPC51SP02ReleaseNotes.pdf :
ALLOW_FILE_SIZE
Enter file size (MB) to allow uploading. A warning message appears if the file size exceeds the parameter value when you upload a file.
If this parameter is not set, you can upload files with a size of 100MB or less .

SQL Developer with Data Modeler, No Design Menu Option

Using SQL Developer 3.0.04 Build MAIN-04.34 with Data Modeler. I have created a logical design and wish to forward engineer this to a relational model.
I cannot seem to find the Design Menu option to use the >> Engineer to Relational Model option which is available under the Design Menu on the Stand Alone version of SQL Developer Data Modeler.
Have checked the following locations:
Tools -> Data Modeler
View -> Data Modeler
File -> Data Modeler
Right Click on my Logical Design
I have ensure that all my entities have the Engineer To property set to a valid Relational Model.
Is this a bug or am I missing a menu option / configuration setting?

I have lost the photoshop manages color option from my print menu in CS6.

I have lost the photoshop manages color option from my print menu in CS6. It now has colorsync manages color as an option along with printer manages color. I don't know how to reverse this and I can no longer use my printer with any assurance of accurate color.
What could have caused this & how do I reverse it?

Assuming you have not gone to a newer version of WORD and it is just an update issue, then you should be able to go to the addins in the options of word and enable Acrobat. Sometimes the updates of WORD seem to disable the plugin. Note that the plugin is PDF Maker and shows up in the save as menu as well as an Adobe menu item in WORD. The printer is a separate process and does no require activation.
A repair of Acrobat may also solve the problem.

FDMEE version 11.1.2.3 not dispaying options in Data Management- Set up

Hello Experts,
I am in the process of creating the Hyperion Financial Close Management (FCM) application, particularly Accounts Reconciliation Manager (ARM) version 11.1.2.3 on Windows Server 2008 R2, 64-bit Operating System (RAM is 30GB).
Now in order to perform all the data related activities on ARM, I am using FDMEE but I am not seeing the “System Settings” tab when I go to Workspace->Navigate->Administer->Data Management->Set up.
All I am seeing is the “Security Settings” tab and no "System Settings" tab.
So need your help in finding out what is that I am missing out here.
Let me know in case you need any additional information from my side.

Data manager option to Append or Add NW Infocube values to BPC CUBE.

Merge and Replace optios are just to replace old values with new values. but my requirement is to add new values to old values. Data is available in BW infocube and we need to add values to BPC cube . please suggest is there any option i can use in data manager.

Hi,
Currently, the append option is not available while loading the BW data to BPC.
The option I see is to extract the BW data to a flat file and then upload this file in the append mode.

Data Manager not available in the BPC 7.0 Action Pane

Hi,
I have just installed BPC 7.0 and everything is working fine, except I don't have access to the Data Manager.
According to the BPC guide, this is how to start Data Manager:
1. Click the Business Planning and Consolidation icon on your desktop.
2. From the Business Planning and Consolidation launch page, select Business Planning and Consolidation for Excel.
3. From the Getting Started - BPC for Excel action pane, select Manage Data.
I don't have "Manage Data" as an option in the Action Pane. The options I have under Available Task Categories are: "Reporting & Analysis", "Journals" and "Open System Reports".
I also do not have a menu called eData.
Any ideas on what I can do?

Generating PDF thumbnails in data manager.

In Data manager:
go to Configuration options ---> Display --> Thumbnails rather than objects in the records pane option
you will have 2 options: yes and No
select YES.
Problem still arrise than:-
Go to record mode
In the Records pane, select the PDF record whose thumbnails you want to generate.then Right-click on one of the records and choose Generate Thumbnail from the context menu, or choose Objects -> Generate Thumbnail from the main menu.
Generating Thumbnails progress dialog will open to indicate the status as it generates the thumbnail for each of the PDFs.

"Delete data and restore" option in Nokia N8

I want to restore my N8 to fresh state as I have installed and uninstalled too many apps and they all have created and left a lot of files on C drive even after uninstalling them. They have ocupied some space on C drive.
I am going for "Delete data and restore" option in phone management. I will back up all data with Nokia Suite before the procedure. I just want to know what all apps which are installed by default will be lost. Please enumerate every app or thing that will be lost.
I know that default wallpapers, songs will be lost. I'm interested in default apps only. Likes dictionary, Zip, Communicator, Video editor, Photo editor, My Nokia, Recorder, Shazam, Msg. reader, Adobe reader, Nat Geo, Movie Teasers, YouTube, E! etc. I have mentioned most here, may have missed some. Please enlist in detail.

One more thing, this are should be improved by Nokia-uninstalling any app should remove it completely without any footprints.

If you go to this page (and are logged in to the store) you will find all apps your previously downloaded and these are the apps that will be removed when you do a full reset. You can re-install them again afterwards provided you have not done so 10 times before.
Please follow the steps below if you decide to completely reset your N8 and start with a fresh device:
If you have data on the N8-00 you wish to keep create a backup using Nokia Suite but when asked deselect the option to include settings in the backup. You can start a backup through Tools>Backup in the Nokia Suite menu.
Now disconnect your N8-00 from the PC and select the offline profile, press the on/off switch and from the menu which appears select and activate the profile offline.
Enter the code *#7370# followed by the security code 12345. Please be aware this reset may take a while. Your N8-00 will restart when finished.
After the N8-00 restarts go through the Device First Use sequence to setup the N8-00 correctly.
Now connect the N8-00 to your PC again and let Nokia Suite install the requires files on N8-00. After this (re)install the latest system update. When you go to the update screen in Nokia Suite your will either be presented by a system update or you can choose to re-install the current (up to date) version again.
After the update verify if there are any additional updates and install these as well.
After this you can restore the backup if you made one.
