Data Migration Tool - Loading C4C Accounts

Hello gurus
Our scenario includes our C4C tenant connected to CRM OP via PI/PO with integration built and tested for Accounts and other objects.
When we manually create an account in C4C, it replicates correctly to CRM OP. And we assume that if we use C4C DM tool to account load data in C4C, then it would automatically trigger WSs to send corresponding data to CRM via PI/PO the same way as it does successfully for manually created transactions.
Is there a limitation that anyone is aware of that will not allow data created via DM tool to be replicated to OP systems.
Let me know your thoughts please.
Regards
Jai

Hi Ginger
Thanks for the reply back. I am of the same opinion as well that it should work. It should be no different than say ERP to CRM (and reverse) connetivity scenario via CRM middleware where we upload the data in one client and then it gets processed on the slave system automatically.
However in our C4C case, when we are using the DM tool for accounts, the behavior is inconsistent and it does not even generate the Web service that we can view and monitor in Admin facet. So nothing is getting passed to PO to be sent to CRM OP. I did see that BP relationship via DM tool generate a message in WS monitor. I am assuming the CAs that would be triggered for loading data via DM tool will be no different than say if we were to create the data manually in C4C.
Any way we could run a trace on data loaded via DM tool to see where the hang up may be?
Thanks Ginger.

So, I loaded my CUCM with 6.1.4 which is absolutely compatible with UCCX 7.0.1 and I still get the same error which is as follows:  Data Migration is only supported on CUCM Deployments.  I am using the Data Migration Tool for 4.0.5 to 7.0.1 UCCX deployments.  All necessary services are started on the CUCM and the UCCX license and CUCM pass validation.  I am at a loss as to why I am getting this error.  Does anyone have any ideas?

  • SAP Master data migration tools

    Hi,
I would like to know if any SAP standard tools which are available for all master data migration,Kindly share the same which is required for us now.
We have to migrate the data from legacy systems to SAP and we have to use only SAP Standard master data migration tools.
    Kindly share the same.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Raveendra

    Raveendra,
SAP migrates data from legacy system using standard tools like LSMW, BDC, BAPI. Under LSMW you will have Batch input, Batch recording, BAPI and IDOCs options. Depending upon requirement you can choose any one of them. BAPI is advisable instead of BDC method.
Also for utilities industry SAP has provided ISU Migration tool (EMIGALL).

  • Data Services as a data migration tool

    Hello All,
Has anybody used Data Services as a data migrition tool from a SAP ECC system?  If so what is it like to use and are there any documents on this?
    Cheers,
    Nick.

    Hi Nick.
About documents, here are some of them, but one that I think it could be useful for your understanding is the "BI109 SAP Data Migration" session: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/shop?rid=/media/uuid/c08b931e-2a83-2c10-2aba-cb3968c5bc4e.
It shows the data migration framework based on SAP BusinessObjects technologies for legacy to SAP and SAP to SAP migrations.
More technical documents, showing how to set up iDocs, LSMW, etc:

  • Data migration tools in sap

    hi,
i am newbie to s.a.p nd i got ma project related to data migration. we are taking data from legacy system to sap database. we are using a tool called cransoft. what about the future of this tool. how to plan my career in this data migration.need help from experienced persons. im a sap abap resource actually. im having practically no work using abap in this project.im very much concerned about ma career.help me out...
    thank you

    >>will my career depend on the tool im working in or it depends on data migration only
That is something which depends upon how much and what kind of experience you have, if you are an expert in one tool, then your career basically depends on it, but if you understand the concept and have good experience in multiple tools, then you will have broader domain.
In consulting, it is much easier to be an expert in one tool, you are not tied to one client and can find project somewhere else.
But if you are a permanent employee, then it helps to adjust your skillset as per the changing environment.
Having said that, you don't have to go after every tool in the market, try to diversify as per your interests and the market need.
Talking specifically about BODS, i have seen quiet a few clients using or planning to use it so its future looks bright, but then again, future can always change.
    Thanks
    Aamir

  • Data Migration Infotype load sequence

    Hi All,
I am migrating data from our legacy system to SAP HR infotypes and would like to know what the sequence / dependencies are.  There are two of us doing the work and I was hoping we could load some of them simultaneously but I realise there are dependencies between some of them.  I am doing the following infotypes:
    Initial Conversion
    Current Conversion
    Infotype 0006
    Infotype 0007
Infotype 0008 (0007 needs to be complete)
    Infotype 0009
    Infotype 0014
    Infotype 0015
    Infotype 0016
    Infotype 0019
    Infotype 0021
    Infotype 0025
    Infotype 0032
    Infotype 0040
    Infotype 0041
    Infotype 0045
    Infotype 0071
    Infotype 0077
    Infotype 0088
    Infotype 0105
    Infotype 0171
Infotype 0167 (0171 needs to be complete)
    Infotype 0442
    Infotype 2006
Infotype 2001 (2006 needs to be complete for holidays)
    Infotype 9000
And a colleague is doing these:
    Infotype 1000
    Infotype 1001
    Infotype 1005
    Infotype 1007
    Infotype 1008
    Infotype 1013
    Infotype 1050
I am told that my colleagues infotypes (1000 to 1050) all need to be migrated before I can start my infotypes (top list).
    Is this true?
Or can I start loading after she has completed 1000?
Is there a Best Practice sequence list somewhere on the net?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Neal.

    Neal,
Have you tried looking for cookbooks on the sap site. They may tell.
However, the basic principal is you will be building your organisation structure (IT 1000) so that when you add the employees you can assign them to the org structure. So yes after you have added your IT 1000 records( org units, positions etc.) you can add the employees. If you aren't assigning your employees into the org structure at load time then you would not need to wait. I have worked on a project where employees where loaded to a dummy org unit , as the structure was not defined by the time employee data needed to be loaded.
    Hope that helps,
    Gary

  • TR History Data Migration Tool in ECC 6.0

    Hi,
Is there any tool is ECC 6.0 to migrate old 4.6C transaction data in to ECC 6.0?
We want to configure a new ECC 6.0 system with TR-TM and migrate all transaction data from old system 4.6C to ECC 6.0. All configuration of 4.6C in TR-TM and FI-CO will be maintained in ECC 6.0
Please advise if you know any such tool in ECC 6.0
    Thank you.
    With Kind Regards,
    Naresh B. Pandya

    Hi,
Got it.  I have done a similar project from 4.0B to 4.6C a few years back and it was painful, as there were no tools available.
In ECC6, SAP provides an elaborate set of tools, however the process will still be painful, as you would first need to customise your ECC6 box as per 46C customisation, but there will be a difference in customisation due to the fact that FSCM is now used for Treasury, where position management and business parters are handled very differently.
The 46C data will now need to be treated as legacy, the only benefit will be that data availability in the form you want will be easy.
After you activate the extension EA-FS as suggested earlier, you will see the node for Financial Supply Chain Management in the IMG.  Navigate as below for the data transfer process:
Financial Supply Chain Management ->Treasury and Risk Management->Transaction Manager->General Settings->Tools->Legacy Data Transfer
You will need to refer to the IMG help and the link below for help.
    [Legacy Data Transfer|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/56/d880392c58ab54e10000000a114084/frameset.htm]
