Data Object cannot be opened / accessed error - help required

I am running a CR 2008 and have a report set against a SQL view linked via a ODBC link. The view however has been updated and now includes an extra field, which I need to add into my report.
When I use the Set Database Location to update the link I get an error message advising "Data Object cannot be opened/accessed". I click OK to this and then get a further error "Unknown Database Connector Error".
Also, when I go to refresh the report I get this error "The database table "..." cannot be found. Proceed to remove this table from the report?" - if I click no the report refreshes correctly anyway, so it must be able to connect.
I have also tried refreshing the fields in field explorer too, but the extra field doesnt appear.
Any help would be gratefully received.

I can connect to the view via a new blank report and the missing field appears. However when I go to verify database it says the database cannot be found. It asks me if I want to remove it from the report, I select No then it tells me the database is uptodate.
Via the set database location it gives me the error in the initial post.
I think I have a workaround in that if I add a new database table to the same sql view the extra field is in there - so I will manually have to go though the report and change each formula, running total, group, and record selection from the original to the new table, then remove the old table.
Frustrating but it does appear to work.

Why am I getting "Associated object cannot be opened"?

I have created a task that utilizes method CRMSALESPROCESSEDIT of standard BOR object BUS2000115 on our CRM sandbox. As a test, I launched the Webclient UI from transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB by clicking on the Test pushbutton for component CRM_UI_FRAME. I can see my task in the CRM Task List. However, when I try to execute the task I receive the message, "Associated object cannot be opened; contact your system administrator".
According to the second edition of the text "Practical Workflow for SAP", I "can use every standard BOR object type that is enabled for dynamic navigation for your own workflow without further customizing and implementation effort". Accordingly, I checked in table BSP_DLC_OBJ_TYPE and found object BUS2000115. So why am I getting the error message?
I tried maintaining Object Specific Navigation for this method in the IMG but it did not make a difference. But I might not have maintained it properly.
When I execute this task in the Business Workplace of the SAPGui it takes me to the "Search for Business Transactions" screen.
I am on version 'SAP CRM ABAP 6.0', with SAP_ABA and SAP_BASIS = 700. SAP_AP = 700. PI_BASIS = 2006_1_700. ST-PI = 2008_1_700. BBPCRM = 600.

I will do what I can to help but I am going from memory. Our sandbox has been rebuilt several times in the the last few years. Plus we only use our SAP CRM system for channel managment now.
I think that I instantiated an instance of the business object BUS2000115 in a previous step of the workflow with a custom task that utilized method 'GENERICINSTANTIATE' of object 'SYSTEM'. I bound that instance to a workflow container object (probably called BUS2000115).
In a subsequent step I think that I failed to explicitly bind BUS2000115 to &_WI_OBJECT_ID&. This was in the definition of the step. In other words, from the workflow builder (transaction PFTC_CHG) I clicked on the "Workflow Builder" pushbutton. Then I double clicked on the step where I wanted to change the sales transaction. I entered the appropriate task and step name for changing the sales transaction. Then I clicked on the Binding pushbutton just below the "Step Name". In the top table control on the popup I entered &BUS2000115& on the left and &_WI_OBJECT_ID& on the right.
Once I did that then the error message was resolved. Hope that helps.

Since upgrading Windows server 2008 R2 to Server 2012 Standard edition, we get this repetitious critical error in the event log:
Event 1001
Op Code NLS initialization
The NLS operation failed because the registry key Control Panel\International\User Profile cannot be opened. Error code is 2. Error message: The system cannot find the file specified.
We originally found that the regional date settings after changing them in regional settings (DD/MM/YYYY) and they did not inherit properly from the upgrade but they are ok now.
I've looked at HKCU\.Default\Control Panel\International and nothing looks obviously wrong. Country codes, time & date formats are correct.
How do we ascertain the cause of this error and the specific registry key that might be problematic?

BAM: Data objects cannot be edited while they are in use.

Hi all,
When I try to edit the layout of an data object I'm getting the error: BAM-04003: Data objects cannot be edited while they are in use.
I have the Active Viewer and Studio closed.
How can I do this?

Plans are not supported in 11g. Look if there are any alerts are defined on the data object that you are trying to edit.
Go to BAM Architect - Alerts page
or Go to BAM ACtiveStudio - Alerts tab.

BAM-04003: Data objects cannot be edited while they are in use.

This message is shown when, while Active Studio is opened, I open Architect and I try to edit a data object layout.
So I close both, do logout and try again, this time only with the Architect open, but the message is shown again.
Why this occur? What to do to solve this "bug"?

Problem solved!
It was not a "bug". I'd created an alert and it was activated. This blocks the data objects editing.
Deactivated the alert, I can edit normally.

Pricing Error (help required)

Is there any routine which includes the tax value in R100 as well ,currently the problem is that the 100% Discount condition is only including the net price
And in the pricing procedure i m using two prices one price of tax calculation and the other is consumer price first i calculate the tax from base price then i deduct the tax from the consumer price this calculation is working fine through standard routines.
Only problem is that when i enter NRAB and R100 at end it only includes Net Value which is calculated through Formual using condition type NTPS

I m not getting the exact picture of what U desired, from your pricing procedure.
As you r using multiple free goods condition type...anyway.
If you wanted to make the calculated tax "amount + "as a basis for the calculation of particular condition type.you can use the functionality of subtotal.
That mean go and assign one subtotal no. to subtotal column in your pricing procedur to all condition type to which you wanted to make as a basis for furthur calculation.(this settings allow the total of all values in one subtotal).
And finally U can assign this subtotal no.to the "alt.cal.B.value "of pricing procedure for the calculation of particular condition type.
If you r using any std condion type that come up with certain routine like NRAB or somthing...possibly that will not allow u to do this settings. so in this case clear your free goods requirement or use any new condition type. i.e . Z creation.

I cannot open mp3 files I received from a purchased download. They are in a .zip file but no matter what I do, they cannot be opened. Please help.

I have right clicked and selected open, and the loading ring shows but nothing happens. I have also extracted the files, opened them in itunes and windows media player. (cannot be accesed in itunes or wmp)

With ZIP files, extract was your best bet. Do the players report that the file is corrupted, or zero length?? You may need to check with the seller on whether the ZIPs downloaded correctly or see whether you can get another format.
You also could try downloading again using Internet Explorer, if they allow that.

ITunes Cannot be open with error message

Try removing the Genius database. In the "Finder" go to the /username/Music/iTunes/ directory and delete the "iTunes Library Genius.itdb" file. This may allow the program to launch again. This file will be recreated upon first use of the "Genius" feature.

The Adobe Muse file damaged and cannot be opened. Please Help!!!

My Muse crushed on me while generating "preview site in browser" command.
After I re-started Adobe Muse, I get this message:
There are several back-up files I tested and they all had this error. Does anyone know what to do?

Where are the files stored? I would not trust the hard drive / device where the files are being stored until we've had a chance to take a closer look at the files.

Photoshop CC crashed. Now cannot re-open. [was:Help]

I downloaded photoshop CC and everything was working for 2 hours, but then it crashed and I haven't been able to open it again since.

reset your preferences: if windows, hold down shift-ctrl-alt while launching.
if you do that correctly you'll see a confirmation window.
if you confirm resetting your preferences and that fails to solve the problem, (properly) uninstall ps cc and then reinstall.

QT 7 "Movie cannot be opened" OSStatus error -1409

QT 7.6.4 will not play DVD's, commercial or otherwise. The AV controls are greyed out. I have installed Flip4Mac, Perian and DivX and have restored the authorisations using the Disk Utility.
Have the latest versions of iTunes and Quicktime.
Any suggestions for resolving this?

QuickTime Player isn't designed to play DVD's.
Use DVD Player to view them.

Crystal report 10 error - Help required

I am using crystal report 10.0.0.533 - Crystal report developer edition.
All of my reports are working fine without any issue, except one report.
It throws the below error message:

I am sure this error would have been posted many number of times, but I would really appreciate if someone could help me with my problem. I am working on reading data from a .zip file, which in it has ~5GB data. All I am performing is a read operation through the piece of code specified below. This code worked well for .zip files handling till ~2.5GB

I get the same exception while reading a ZIP file. The size if the ZIP file is just 82KB but I am reading it over FTP not sure if it makes any difference. I am using JDK 1.4.2_05. Here is the code I am trying to execute.
