Data on phone lost when updating software

I have a 3gs - when i get prompted by itunes to update software my phone freezes after the process and I get locked onto the insert usb cable screen. I have to restore to last setting to get it going again which takes hours. can you help please. latest prompt is to update to 4.3.3

I am confused as to how a download of DTM would cause this. Downloading DTM to your PC does nothing but download an installation file to your PC. You must launch that installation file in order for anything else to happen...and then do even more in order to cause what you have described. So I am confused as to exactly what you have done.
In any event, if your BB has been somehow wiped clean, then the only way to get your data back is if you already have previously taken a backup. If you have never done that, then there is no hope.

So I would use APEX_COLLECTION (there is some information in APEX documentation).
Read all data you need to keep after submit and save them to your collection. Then, if validation fails, show report with data not from base, but from your collection. You have to create process, which creates collection, and you need to modify your report definition to get data not only from DB but also from collection.

Problems with my curve when updating software

My computer crashed when my curve was updating software and now will not switch on. The red light flashed at the top. On a previous forum post advice was given that suggested that I should attempt to reinstall the software as I had been doing before and that would fix the problem. However when I plug my phone back into my laptop I get a Window's message telling my that Window's does not recognize the device and that it is not working correctly. The Blackberry desktop manager does not connect with the phone either. I have only had this phone for 5 hours, please help me!

3. Disconnect the USB cable, Reboot the computer from off, and try it all again.

Date and Time lost when upgraded to PSA/SE 3.0

I have upgraded from Photoshop Album Starter Edition 2.0 to 3.0 - my tags seem to be intact, but the dates on all of the photos reverted back to January 1, 2003 regardless when I took them. There was no warning about this happening, no recommendation to back up the files in a way to save the date info. I had spent hours posting corrected dates into many of my photos when accessed by PSA/SE 2.0 only to have all that work dissappear once the upgrade was installed. I liked being able to search for photos based on approximate date taken. I realize there is not likely any quick way to restore the dates, but if there is I'd sure like to know.

When updating I just followed the prompts. I did not choose to cusom install anything. I let the software do all the work.
A large number of my photos are not in the "Adobe" file and must be reconnected as well. I was hoping that once reconnected the date would return, but, sadly, I was mistaken. As I had mentioned when I first installed 2.0 I had to change the dates and times of all my pre - existing photos. They had also defaulted to January 1, 2003. Now I'm back to square one with them all.

All contacts lost after updating software, incl. icloud

After having updated software on my iPhone in Settings I have lost all my contacts in my iPhone.
I got iCloud installed as part of the updte and after that I have no access.
When I log into iCloud there are no contacts either.

Do have media card installed in your device, Please try this Open BBM - Press the Menu key - Options - Scroll down to Backup Managment - Then Click Restore .If you have any previous Backup you will get your contacts back.

Error message when updating software

Whenever I attempt to update software I get an error message stating that my computer is unable to create a folder. Today when updating iTunes I got this: The Installer could not create the folder “/private/tmp/AppleMobileDeviceSupport.pkg.766WaORpr

Disconnect all peripherals from your computer. Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25751 and restart your computer.
Try updating iTunes again.

It sounds like you're trying to convert a PDF (which contains a "document open" password) to Microsoft Word. Is that correct? Which product or service are you using to do this conversion - Adobe CreatePDF or Adobe Acrobat or some other product?
CreatePDF cannot currently convert password-protected PDFs to Word. You will typically get an error which says that conversion cannot proceed due to password protection. Acrobat can convert password-protected PDFs to Word, provided you have the password and can provide that at the time you open the PDF in Acrobat.

I was updating ipod touch to new iOS5 and it told me that all data would be lost with update and to put it oon computer, but update not there. How do i update with out this happening?

I am looking for some help with updating to iOS5, i downloaded to computer to avoid losing data on ipod touch but update was not there. I've done three times and same result. If I have all music on usb drive will I be able to reupload it after update, or is there another way to do it by transferring my music from ipod touch to computer and the re-installing in itunes. Alot of the music I have is copied off of discs and not from itune purchases. Any help will be greatly appreciated and my computer skills are satisfactory but I am by no means a computer guru. As all of the msuic came from your computer in the first place it should still be there. Is it not?
EVERYTHING on your ipod should also be on your computer and should be included in your regular backup copy of your computer.
Make sure that everything is on your computer. You can transfer itunes purchases from the ipod. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases.
When everything is on your computer, then it can be synced back to the ipod after updating.

That setting requires iOS 5.0 or higher. In your case, you must use iTunes on your computer to update your phone. Once you do that, you'll have the over the air update setting.

Using a mini-Mac which has always been personalised to my apple ID, my girlfriend has a macbook air and iPhone. Somehow when I want to install software update it populates the apple ID with my girlfirends username, not mine?! The system appears to have my ID logged in and iTunes is using mine....it won't let m change it either.

Launch the App store application. On the right side of the Panel, you will find 'Quick Links.' The first line will read either 'Welcom xxxxx' or 'Sign In' Select that and Sign in to the correct App Store account.
You will now have to verify that the Software has been bought for your account or not. If not, you have to 'repurchase,' if you are not in a 'Family Share'. If you are in a 'Family Share' it will provide the option under 'Purchased' to update software from your 'Family'
